Taking this directly from my initial discord rant but

So it turns out the princess of Kitsune Castle does indeed look nothing like Sae, and the young lord of Crane Castle, being the dummy that he is, has decided he is in love with Sae who he met that one time for like 10 minutes and wants to marry her at all costs. This means that the war between the lands is not properly resolved and kicks up in full force. But because this whole thing is because the young lord is being a dumb butt, the two shinobi clans actually agree that the best course of action is to sort things out and put a stop to this whole thing and make him marry the right person

Because of this, Hyuga and Santa have to spend a lot of time with each other and SURPRISE it's a TenMuku fic and not a MisuKazu one

Also while Santa and Hyuga are forced to spend time together and warm up to each other, Kiichi and Yoshimaru are playing matchmaker because if they're happier maybe they'll be nice and lift their house arrests because they want to help their friends. And during this, at first Sae is conscripted to make sure he DOESN'T want to marry her anymore, or at least can't, because it's not like she wants a war in the area either. But the young lord eventually comes to love her for her and she actually ends up kind of liking him too so eventually she's like "yeah change of plans I'm gonna marry the guy" so it's also KyuYuki girlboss/malewife with Sae being like "jsyk I'm not gonna quit being a ninja just because I'm marrying you" and the young lord like "yeah you go my badass wife!!"

My sister suggested the TenMuku part but honestly the KyuYuki is giving me so much brainrot, I have SO many supplemental materials lined up to read so I can get this to really feel like a period piece

I’m all down for SakyoIzu. I identify them as my fictional world parents lol. Other than that, I wonder if it can be considered as shipping but I really love seeing MisuKazu, TenMuku, AzaKyu, HisoHoma interactions.

AzaKyu and TenMuku are more in platonic way for me, maybe we can add MisuKazu in that too. But I would definitely enjoy HisoHoma as romantic partners.
