Looks like they’re finally catching on to people wanting individualized events! But now we get to see how well they pull it off!

((Unless they have done this explicitly before other than with the Ruri-Chan/Levi specific events and I’ve just missed it))

I wanted to hold off on answering this until I saw how it was being handled (and WOW did I miss these boys I forgot how enjoyable some of the stories can be even if they're mostly fluff, I really need to catch up) and well...

Satan is definitely the main character of this event!! I know I missed a fair amount of events, but I think you're right and they haven't done something like this since the Ruri-chan event?? A really nice change of pace to have one person be like the lead. Lucifer's also basically absent from the main topic, so they also avoided it being just about them competing.

Only thing is, I've read the entire free route (want to read the locked story all together once I've unlocked it all), and... you don't really spend any one on one time with Satan at all in the free route. Not to say that the locked route is particularly HARD to get, but if there ISN'T solo time up there once I get to it, that's something they'll have to consider improving.

Also, Lil Noodle has said that this event seems easier to stay up in the rankings for than previous events. I wonder if it's because people who aren't wild about Satan are opting to sit it out?

Taking this directly from my initial discord rant but

So it turns out the princess of Kitsune Castle does indeed look nothing like Sae, and the young lord of Crane Castle, being the dummy that he is, has decided he is in love with Sae who he met that one time for like 10 minutes and wants to marry her at all costs. This means that the war between the lands is not properly resolved and kicks up in full force. But because this whole thing is because the young lord is being a dumb butt, the two shinobi clans actually agree that the best course of action is to sort things out and put a stop to this whole thing and make him marry the right person

Because of this, Hyuga and Santa have to spend a lot of time with each other and SURPRISE it's a TenMuku fic and not a MisuKazu one

Also while Santa and Hyuga are forced to spend time together and warm up to each other, Kiichi and Yoshimaru are playing matchmaker because if they're happier maybe they'll be nice and lift their house arrests because they want to help their friends. And during this, at first Sae is conscripted to make sure he DOESN'T want to marry her anymore, or at least can't, because it's not like she wants a war in the area either. But the young lord eventually comes to love her for her and she actually ends up kind of liking him too so eventually she's like "yeah change of plans I'm gonna marry the guy" so it's also KyuYuki girlboss/malewife with Sae being like "jsyk I'm not gonna quit being a ninja just because I'm marrying you" and the young lord like "yeah you go my badass wife!!"

My sister suggested the TenMuku part but honestly the KyuYuki is giving me so much brainrot, I have SO many supplemental materials lined up to read so I can get this to really feel like a period piece

rebuilding my khajiit from scratch up to level five (where we left off, and where DM will keep us if/ when we ever reboot the campaign) and struggling between starting with the one level of rogue I decided to give him, which would give me an extra skill and better-for-this-character saving throws, or starting as a fighter, which is unambiguously worse but makes more sense for backstory reasons

#those SKILLS THOUGH...... #current canon tsakesh is an eldritch knight straight up #because I didn't want to do the Obvious Thing and make my stealth archer khajiit a rogue #but like. he plays like a rogue and I built him with a bunch of rogue stuff so I'm gonna quit being a baby about it and just dip a level #FIGHTERS ONLY GET TWO SKILLS FOR FUCK SAKE. A NIGHTMARE. #that also takes thieves' tools out of his background proficiencies and frees one of those up for something else-- a language probably #anyway the reason he should start as a fighter is that he WAS traveling as a hired guard for merchants #before he discovered a passion for dungeon delving #and he's always been an archer but rogues don't have longbow proficiency lol #I SUPPOSE I could renoodle the backstory... not that it would make a difference or matter to literally anyone but me khfdgsgfk #if we ever do actually play again I will be sad to only be level four fighter AGAIN.... my second attack....... :C #price I pay to actually be proficient in persuasion and stealth lol #about me #tsakesh insp

ik chikage is often portrayed as cool and smart but i like to think that for a solid good chunk of his first few days or weeks he absolutely cant make heads or tails of citron and is bewildered by how the fast harugumi is able to decipher citrons typos, both in lime and verbally. maybe kazunaris paripi speak too

Oh absolutely, Citron was giving him a rundown of how dorm life works and he was like “we often engage in chicken conservation” and Chikage was like :) ?????? until Tsuzuru or someone says “you mean kitchen conversation”.  And like ok sure Chikage will give you that one but at the start he literally could crack government codes faster than he could crack this text Citron sent him

Tbh I bet he still doesn’t understand Kazu half the time but he gets the vibe of what he’s trying to say so he just.  Pretends he gets the actual words too

Ok ok so I have had 8 rats throughout my life and they were all SO GOOD. Unfortunately this was a while ago so currently I do not have any :pensive: but when I move out of my parents' house I plan to get some more bc I miss having them so much

But ANYWAY RAT STORIES

Monkey (liked cop shows) and his brother Rubrik (liked the news) also both enjoyed sports and would hang out with you in the living room while football was on. We had them out one Superbowl and Monkey was sitting on my friend's shoulder and Rubrik was sitting on the couch. It seemed like Rubrik was the lucky rat bc whenever he was around our team would score and we were all so fascinated... that we MISSED THAT MONKEY WAS REACHING OVER AND DRINKING MY FRIEND'S MOM'S WINE THE WHOLE TIME. He passed out hfdhdsfs

My first three rats were sisters and I don't remember them very well at all since I was in elementary school, but my mom told me this one. Apparently they early on figured out she would open the cage to replace the water bowl when it was empty or spilled. One day my mom caught them working together to tip the water bowl over on purpose and then waiting excitedly at the door for their chance to escape. The great rat heist of 2000-something

Sawyer would also do something similar, but he realized that if he held onto the bars above the door and swung all his weight at it the door would pop open, and he could climb to the top of the cage and eat the fruit loops on my molecular structure project fhsjsd so we had to lock the door with a keychain ring

We'd usually play with them in my sister's room and she was really young at the time so she still had her fisherprice zoo. There was a lever-thing that if you pressed down on it'd make a monkey sound and they LOVED it, they'd run up and press it and run away

Also they would steal entire chicken nuggets and half your mac n cheese if you weren't paying attention!! Thieves!!!

And lastly this one isn't funny but when one of my first rats got very very sick, her sisters would bring food up for her :pleading: they're so inclined to compassion and community I love them so much

man. man. itaru unexpectedly but willingly becoming the biggest spender of mankai because he has new avenues to fuel his hobbies. cosplay and art comms for yuki and kazu, buying multiplayer party games to host dormwide game tourneys, going to collab cafes with banri or juza, getting full collections of merch plushies or keychains to do matchies with spring. sakyo cant even lecture him about it bcs technically its his own money orz

It's so so SO important to have people to share your passions with and Mankai is so huge for that ;w; they encourage each other!! they indulge each other sometimes!!! I just hhhhh they!!

Sakyo would be so conflicted sfhsds but I like to think that he'd let it slide when he saw how much fun everyone was having with the whole thing (tho he may have to draw the line at trying the gachapon the whole time intead of getting some merch secondhand lolol)
