Darla tilted her neck, allowing the hair to fall away from it to expose her veins. "Is this what you wanted? What we took from you?"

"I'm only here to help." Her voice dripped with sickly honey from a diseased hive.

"I know, dear," Darla said wearily.

Drusilla's face changed to something horrible and bumpy, her fangs sharp as needles. She leaned in close.

"So am I," Darla whispered regretfully as her right hand connected with a stake that had been left on Angel's desk. She swung it with all her might, but found her wrist held once more in an iron grip.

"Bad mummy," Drusilla said. "No playtime for you and you'll have to be sent away without supper."

BTVS boop head canons:

Angel is on tumblr but types with one finger. he finally got the hang of reblogs last month. he is scared of the boop button and does not try. he makes a mental note to ask Cordelia to explain it to him.

Spike boops Buffy, then realizes how that looks. he begins to boop all the Scoobies, Willow first. he begrudgingly also boops Xander.

Buffy has been busy so is late with the boops. she's overwhelmed by all the boops she has and closes her tumblr tab half way thru booping people. her first boop is Willow, then Xander. she boops Faith back but not Spike. [sorry Spuffy fans, i'm a Fuffy truther] sadly she also boops Parker.

Willow boops everyone, Tara first. Tara ofc boops back. so does Oz.

Tara only boops the Scoobies and her witch friends. while she doesn't boop freely, to her boops are more about friendship than anything else.

Xander boops Spike first, then realizes how that looks. he rapidly boops everyone else, including Giles. (Giles ignores it, but is shaken up that Xander knows about his secret tumblr account "rugged_Sunnydale_librarian.") Anya is glad Xander booped her, she was wondering why it took so long.

(All the Scoobies know about Giles's "secret" tumblr account, since he keeps forgetting to log out of it on the Magic Box research computer.)

Anya gives very limited boops. she's annoyed that tumblr didn't monetize it somehow, since that's what she would do. "it's such an obvious opportunity!"

Cordelia boops a few select old classmates from Sunnydale, but not Buffy. she happily boops Angel, Fred, Gunn, Lorne, and Wesley, in that order. [idk i haven't seen all of ATS]

Lorne boops everyone and won't shut up about booping.

Lilah and Wesley only boop each other.

Lindsey boops Angel and Lilah, but neither boop him back.

Gunn shyly boops Fred and she instantly boops back.

Faith boops Buffy. when Buffy doesn't boop back immediately she boops another 10 times, thinking it didn't go through. when she realizes that all 11 boops went through, she panics and drafts a "sorry yo my tumblr got hacked" post just in case. when Buffy boops her back (once) she grins like a cheese ball for 2 days straight. as an afterthought she also boops the Scoobies.

Giles has a secret tumblr. he scoffs at all the booping, until Jenny boops him. he grins and sends her a long text in response thanking her (like text msg on his phone), signing it with his name like he does with every text.

ahhh I have manyyy bc I usually hyperfixate on one ship per fandom but i do also enjoy a lot of canon side pairings (and also combos that include my OTP)

main fandoms that I have a lot of ships for are SPN and BtVS/AtS and aside those OTPs (destiel/spuffy):

- i really love Sam/Eileen, Willow/Tara, Xander/Anya, Angel/Cordelia and Wesley/Fred

- i also enjoy Sam/Rowena, Castiel/Crowley and Wesley/Lilah

- i think the concept of Dean/Cas/Jimmy, Cas/Jimmy or Dean/Jimmy is really interesting

- i think Angel/Buffy/Spike would fix them

- i think Dean/Cas/Crowley would make them worse

20. your very first fandom!

i kinda see myself as having multiple "first fandoms", bc while i've always been super invested in my favourite media, the way i interacted with media and especially other fans has changed a lot

~5yo - Sailor Moon/Pokemon: baby's first fandoms in that i was drawing, cosplaying, coming up with my own stories, asking for merch, and my family and friends knew that i Really Liked This Stuff (my 70yo italian nonni were watching SM with me and buying me mewtwo plushies ahhh~)

10yo - Stargate SG-1: the first piece of adult media i got into and also Jack/Sam was the first non-established/assured ship i got invested in, tho I didn’t really “make” anything for the show, tho i did get my first experience of fanworks via a series of comics

14yo - Danny Phantom: probably what most people would consider my first actual fandom! (happy 20th anniversary today !!!) i watched one episode and immediately decided i wanted to learn how to draw the artstyle and it's the reason i started drawing people more than animals! i became very quickly obsessed with the show and wanted More™ between weekly episodes and that’s when i discovered online fandom! i learnt about the concept of fanart and fanfic and i lied abt my age to make a DA account so that i could read a fancomic! i did my first RPing on (iirc) TV.com! but despite drawing and crafting and cosplaying and plotting stories, I was still very much just lurking online

18yo - Hetalia: I finally decided to actually start interacting with other people online after making an LJ account and seeing the chaos during the Bloodbath events and wanting to participate :’D made friends in the main comm, and i credit them with convincing me to make a tumblr so that’s how i ended up here lol

19yo - Good Omens: the culmination of all the experiences i had with my previous fandoms, but for the first time bc i started actually sharing my art, cosplay, plotbunnies and fic online far more often rather than just interacting with things other people made, now people were interacting with the things i was making ;w;

It's funny how often love is talked of like a ravenous appetite. They write of it so sweetly, berry filled and crispy with its hordes of butter. It's difficult to walk from, to not sink one's teeth to but sample a taste, and to ask for a kiss is like to ask for a pastry. Or profiteroles with custard. Or a tarte tatin with fig. It's easy to want, to long for both seconds and to clamor for thirds. Of course, when one's starved, too, the hunger's gnawing intensity all but grows, and gods know how long he has lived on morsels! Where scraps, mere crumbs, felt like feasts.

Lilah doesn't do that. Lilah fills him full.

Searing the lamb chops, the smell of oregano takes the air, and listening to her words, Gale...smiles.

He doesn't meet her eyes yet, but he feels it, the syrupy, golden glow of her easy love. So easy. Like the way the twilight gives to night kind of easy. He prepares their dinner, Tara casting her curious eyes hoping he lets drop some meat. They've fallen into rhythm, Lilah slotting in quickly as Waterdeep had borne her, and the terrace is bared with the shutters drawn open. There wafts the mingling of sea salt and the trickle of the breeze.

The Absolute is gone. The Elder Brain's extinguished. Now, she's her bardic drafts foldered in a study that had once been storage, and she's the smell of her perfume in their well-pillowed bed. Gale plates their dinner and walks on over.

"I'd ask for some leniency. In my defense," he tuts, setting their dishes on the table by the fireplace, "it's difficult to content myself with merely a bite." He meets her gaze, now pouring some Berduskan Dark, pricey and full. "I will always crave you. There is not a moment where I don't hunger." And know that he'll always hold her gently in the cage of his teeth to fill up and crowd the heft of his empties.

He kisses her cheek as he lays down her glass. "Now, allow me to satisfy your appetites." Cheekily, he adds, "if at all possible."

Note 1: Leaving aside that people can do what they want with character sexuality in fic, I've found several older fics that resolved what appears to have been at least a bit of a fandom fight between Xandelia vs Xander/Willow with this triad.

Note 2: I've don't think I've ever actually seen anyone do this, even in fics where people write Willow as Bi, and it obviously would be more of a Polyvee than a thruple, but the idea is interesting. Also, see Note 1.

a comprehensive list of all the Implications (TM) of the WishVerse that were never explored. enjoy.

so in case you forgot: buffy never came to sunnydale in season 1. the master took over sunnydale and made xander and willow his deranged vampire sidekicks. buffy fights the master and her, cordelia, angel, willow and xander all die. almost all these points are going off the branching timeline where giles didn’t destroy anya’s pendant and the wishverse kept going.

larry is a “white hat” working with giles, oz and nancy. he has dyed black hair. I think it’s safe to assume that larry is out in this universe, and apocalypse or no apocalypse I love the idea of these three being a found family friend group just like buffy and the scoobies. also love the idea that oz and larry were in love but that’s just because I am insane lmao. anyway larry is out as gay and friends with oz with surrogate father figure giles… yeah that just makes me happy. I would love to see his season 1-3 growth in coming out and becoming a better person / not a bully similar to cordy. and shittily dying his hair black.

were spike and dru there during the season 2 period? did the master kill them? did the white hats kill them? did they leave? WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM????

the mayor, adam, glory and the first would likely still happen on top of all the vampire apocalypse stuff. the trio could be dead or vampires and dark willow obviously would not be able to happen. does giles fight these threats, collecting various child fighters over the years?? no idea. do they succeed?? no idea.

dawn doesn’t exist because buffy is dead. I wonder who the key would have taken the form of, perhaps she would be faith’s sister…???

what’s the status of jenny calendar?? joyce?? tara?? amy?? no one knows!! I just hope they didn’t meet too grisly of ends. the idea of leather-clad apocalypse vampire versions of all these badass women intrigues me though…

did anya remain a demon?? destroying her necklace would reset the timeline back to normal, so I guess she must have done. my anyiles heart says giles thought “I could fix her” and fell in love with a vengeance demon who doomed reality but that might just be wishful thinking (no pun intended).

angel investigations simply doesn’t exist. angel and cordy are both dead.

connor would not exist because darla would not be brought back (I wonder if jasmine would find some other way to bring about her birth??)

lindsey would have both hands intact and he and lilah would likely stay at wolfram and hart, and neither would die unless they were caught in the crossfire of vampire apocalypse stuff.

gunn would stick with his crew in LA and would likely fight the master at one point, not to mention even more vampires than usual, and without superpowers would likely die eventually.

angel investigations would never run wolfram and hart, meaning illyria would have to find a different host body. if it was lindsey or lilah that would be awesome.

pylea would stay the same and suck forever because cordy would never go there.

lorne is flourishing and loving life running caritos. he’s probably better off for it tbh. the wishverse says gay rights!!!!

in terms of wesley, faith and doyle, I recommend this amazing fic. it really speaks for itself, it’s awesome!!

its unclear as to who would be called after buffy. is it a person to person thing or simply a timing thing?? would it be kendra, faith, or someone else entirely? as I said this is explored in the fic I linked, but still interesting to discuss.

season 7 would be very different. we don’t know what slayer is currently around and we don’t know if that would change the first’s plan or the ending with all the potentials becoming slayers. no idea. kennedy would not be important thank god.

fred is still in pylea.

there was a post about how much a non-thing the S/B/A “love triangle” is in btvs and honestly? I think how they’re portrayed on AtS is way closer to a love triangle even though Buffy isn’t even there! Which makes perfect sense because of the two shows, AtS consistently has wayyyy more actual love triangles (Angel/Cordy/Groo, Wesley/Fred/Gunn, Wesley/Fred/Knox, Lilah/Wesley/Fred, Angel/Cordy/Connor…). Meanwhile on Buffy the main love triangles are often SUPER unrequited (like Buffy/Xander/Willow) and/or they actually barely overlap in time (like Tara/Willow/Oz), and there just doesn’t seem to be as many of them.

i don't see them as any more than a fling, max. i think they're too similar as people -- not similar in a way that works, but more so in that i think they'd be good friends.

gunn is definitely a macho protective-type, which is why his relationship with fred works so well. but because faith is not a soft damsel-in-distress type, because she enjoys being in control and "on top," i think that's why they wouldn't work long-term. i could maybe see it working out if either one of them wasn't as self-assured as they are

they should've had more scenes together. considering their similar rough upbringings, i could easily see them as former foster home besties, or having lived together with a group of ppl on the streets. they had a really good camaraderie for the two seconds they interacted

wes/lilah: i like them but i don't think it could've lasted

i enjoy them mainly for narrative purposes. both are unlikely to be each other's true love, so i see them primarily as working to grow each other's storyline. their relationship is compelling, but i don't care much for it offscreen. also why do i feel like we saw more of how the relationship affected wes than it did lilah...

i'd like it more if there was greater buildup of their tension. i know the whole point is to show how wes became a different person almost overnight, and how he's been going through drastic changes, looking for comfort in unlikely places. but maybe that's why i couldn't get super invested, because i always knew it was temporary

i really like the illicit nature of their relationship, the whole "sleeping with the enemy" dynamic. but of course the lines between the good guys and the bad guys have blurred, and they realize just how similar they are, and things become much more complicated when they realize they care about each other so much. wes having to kill lilah, and then lilah coming back to essentially haunt him in the s4 ending... it's tragic

willow/fred: i could be convinced, but i'm currently at nah

this is like faith/gunn, they're way too similar. fred is, in some ways, a carbon copy of willow, except less cool (i don't mean this in a bad way, i mean that willow essentially earns her stripes through experience, and becomes more confident, while fred remains a bit "quirky" (granted, we see her for a much shorter time than willow)). the scene in ats s4 where they meet and fred fangirls over willow made me think it was (btvs s7) willow meeting her btvs s1 self and seeing how much she's changed since.

they need to match squirrel-liness levels, kind of like how willow and tara were on the same wavelength when they first met. for example i could totally see potential for btvs s1 willow and ats s2-early s3 fred, or btvs s7 willow with ats s5 fred (um... pre-illyria of course)

i do think that out of everyone, fred would be a good fit for willow post-tara. both are super-smart, have overlapping academic interests, both slightly awkward yet endearing, and they want to stop being underestimated by everyone around them. also i really like the implication from their interaction that fred was openly flirting with willow, since she doesn't deny it lol

so far s4 of angel is pretty bad ngl

I've seen people say it's the worst season so I have hope for s5 but it's difficult to get through this one 😅

it rivals Buffy s4 but I don't think there's anything worse than Buffy s4 😂 (if it wasn't for my love Tara I don't think I'd even ever finish it 😂 - fr after the worst episode ever aka beer bad and then when Oz left right after I genuinely thought about dropping it)

like, I really don't like what they're doing with Cordelia, I'm not a fan of Connor, I fucking hate Wesley (Lilah deserves better wtf is she doing with him) and now they're messing with Gunn and Fred???

also, ngl, it's kinda boring? like, idk what it is exactly, but the storyline is not engaging me as much as previous ones (pls bring back Darla again, I miss her 😭😭)

Lorne and Angel are the only ones that keep me watching haha
