Lost Bonds pt 4
Tumblr media
Summary - The last thing Tamlin planned to have happen was a bond snapping between him and Y/N Archeron. Now the big question becomes, is it too late to fix what has been broken?
Warnings - stereotypical happy ever after, grudges, cutting ties with family, rhysand being a decent brother in law, divorce, children, babies, pregnancy, reader's powers are yin to Nesta's yang, loosely edited (squint away any mistakes💕)
A/n - I know some people might be upset with the direction this ended in, but it felt... right? Forgive me.

Lost Bonds: Pt 1 Pt 2 Pt 3
The Fire in Spring *can be read as a bonus Calanmai smut scene*
Tumblr media
Rhysand was eerily calm as Azriel approached his office with Feyre. For the first time since her arrival here, Feyre would be in a seat he typically only forced the Inner Circle to instead of at his side.
Rhys sat and waited, hands laced together as they entered. “You are probably wondering why I asked you two to come in. Sit.” He motioned to the chairs across from him, not missing the look of confusion on Feyre's face. He waited for them to settle before saying the one thing he knew would begin the fight he prepared himself for, “I sent y/n to Spring yesterday. For Calanmai.”
Azriel's hands instantly twitched, and the fight began.
Three weeks had past with you and Tamlin and Tamlin and you. They were spent deep in the throes of passion. In need and want and want and need and every lingering emotion in between.
He had worshiped you. Truly and fully. He explored every inch of skin, tasting and kissing it every time like it was his last meal, like these were his last moments and he would rather spend them nowhere else than between the thighs he had become obsessed with.
It had taken 3 weeks for the bond to cool down enough for him to attempt to go back to his duties. He still ached for you and the completion that came with being yours, and you ached as well. You were like air to each other. Something so simple, yet so vital to life.
He sighed as he entered his office and sat in front of Feyre, Rhys, and Azriel. “You selfish-”
His hand went up. “If you're going to start throwing names around, shadowsinger, I have several for you. Be silent and allow me to discuss this with your lord and lady.”
Rhys was the first to speak after the blatant dismissal. “Where is she?”
“She should be resting. She's had a long morning already. She spent the morning with other Ladies of the Court discussing the upcoming Summer celebrations. I believe she is still socializing, though. I do not keep track of her constantly. She is a grown adult.”
Feyre scoffed and Tamlin raised his brow at her before she instantly looked down. “Is she happy?”
“Happier than I've been in a long time,” you entered the room, long hair falling in waves, an apricot colored dress swaying as you did. The colors of Spring made you even more radiant, your skin glowing, eyes dancing with light that had been missing for several years. “I assume you brought papers for me.”
You moved to Tamlin, standing behind him and holding a hand out for his. Feyre was shaking, refusing to look at you. “If you sign this, if you choose to stay, I never want to see you again.” The words should have cut like a knife, but all you could do was sigh.
“Would you like me to stay in Night then?”
Azriel glared towards Tamlin. “Its where you belong. Where your husband is. Where your family is.”
“Where your mate is,” you began to trail on for him. “Where you can have your cake and eat it too. Where your family has spent the past 4 years letting you make a fool out of me. Fond memories, yes.”
“Our marriage wasn't always unhappy, y/n.”
“No. But it became unhappy the second you had an affair. Sign the papers, Azriel.”
Rhysand stayed oddly silent, as did Tamlin, the two high lords were in a silent conversation regarding the scent only they seemed to be able to detect. You were not leaving Spring, not when you, albeit unknowingly, were carrying its salvation inside of you.
Tamlin pointed to the line that would grant you your freedom. Tapping it twice in a silent message to you to sign and stay at his side as he watched Azriel. He had no doubt the male planned on grabbing you, upset that he was losing his own claim to a made sister, upset that the Cauldron had paired him with another.
Tamlin knew his look. The look of a male who wanted everything with no compromise. He remembered being there. Being that male. He knew the pain that came with it, the anger. He watched you sign, signature so flawless and soft, curling the page that gave you freedom and you stepped back. Hiding that joy that was flooding him as you did.
“I won't stop fighting for you.”
You shook your head as you laid the ring on the desk and slid it to him. “You will. You will realize this was best for both of us in time. You will find happiness, peace, and what you are looking for.”
“I won't sign.”
Rhysand pinched his nose and then picked at his jacket, a nervous habit now instead of obsession. “Azriel, sign the papers.”
“I won't-”
“You will because I have tolerated every moment of this bull shit knowing it is against every law we have honored for thousands of years.” Tamlin was oddly calm, hand still in yours. “I tolerated it for her happiness.”
“She was happy with me.”
“Until 4 years ago, yes.”
You turned to Rhysand, eyes pleading. “Please.” Her brother in law nodded, taking her side and owning his error another time.
“Sign the papers, Azriel.” Feyre and Azriel seemed to freeze. It was a set command, one the shadowsinger would not be able to push. “Sign the papers.”
“I will never forgive you for this.”
Rhys shrugged. “I'll add it to the many times I was doing what was best for everyone else but made the bad guy. Sign the papers.”
Azriel stared at Tamlin as he signed the papers before taking the ring and standing. He left without saying goodbye, without looking back at you one last time. Without even so much as a sign of the love you two once shared.
“You will never see Nyx again.” Tamlin tugged the bond, sending you his love and support regardless of what you picked but silently begging you to stay.
Your throat tightened as you looked to Feyre, “Are you truly that selfish? Without Tamlin, you would not even have Nyx. You wouldn't have a mate.” She glared at you, chin head high as you continued, “you were never met to be Tamlin's, Feyre. Imagine a world where you would have just let me go, where I came here as the person who was supposed to.” She suddenly looked away, eyes squeezing shut as she did. “If that is the road you would like us to go down, consider it done. You are no longer my sister, no longer my other half, no longer part of me. If my happiness means this little to you, then we need to part ways.”
Feyre just nodded, standing and holding her hand out to Rhysand. Your brother in law shook his head, nodding for her to go. He sunk further into the chair he was in before looking to you and Tamlin. “Congratulations,” in was sincere, soft. Rhys grabbed your hand, kissing the palm. “You will always have a home in Velaris.”
10 years later
Tamlin sighed quietly next to you, bouncing your third child and daughter, Willow, on his lap as the other two sat. Oakland, your oldest son, was reading with his back leaned against your legs. Fleur, your middle daughter, was sitting by the glittering fish pond every court was circling.
High Lord's meetings were now quarterly. A way of holding each other all in check and accountable. Each one was more of a bitchfest than productive, but it had allowed relations between several courts to improve.
This one had been called due to Helion stepping down. With Beron gone, Autumn stable, and his mate and son finally at his side, the High Lord decided there was no better way to celebrate than relinquishing his powers to Lucien and enjoying the lost time he should have had with Andromeda.
Lucien looked to Tamlin, a little lost on the question Rhysand was asking before clearing his throat to answer, “I will not be enforcing rank and class if that's what you are asking. Fae are fae. Lower or higher does not matter to me. Laws will be enforced, tax will be enforced, and opportunities will be fair.” Rhys seemed content in that answer, looking at Feyre and Nyx before nodding.
You two knew you were next and Tamlin sighed as he handed Willow to you, much to her protest. “Spring is fully rebuilt and has implemented a version of Tarquin’s laws that work best for us,” the mentioned high lord smiled and raised his bubbling wine. “Our army is young, growing, but eager.”
He looked to you, “We would appreciate the spies being removed from our court, though. We are willing to answer any questions someone may have. We feel the use of spies in unnecessary. We have opened our boarders and home to anyone."
“The mortals,” Eris began slowly. “They are?”
“Part of our court as of two months ago,” you answered for Tamlin. “We are the only court they agreed to form a pact with. Jurian and Vassa will remain ruling over them as a better connection point.”
Eris hummed. Satisfied with the answer.
“Will they be asking to travel?” Kal watched his daughter, stopping her before her snow pale hand touched the pond with a soft no. “There are concerns over them coming to Winter. They were not made for such temperatures.”
Tamlin nodded, “We had hoped to discuss that with each court one on one. They are… beautiful, curious creatures. They want to travel the courts and experience different foods and lifestyles. Provisions will need to be made for that to happen, though.”
You couldn't help but smile, hearing what you used to be called beautiful by the most stunning male you had ever seen. His hand moved to rest on your thigh, squeezing softly as the next question came.
“The growth in Spring, the herbs, the medicinal plants, the food, flowers,” Thesan took a short pause as he and his mate communicated silently. “How did that happen?”
Tamlin squeezed your thigh again. “Nesta was blessed with the powers of death. Y/n was blessed with the powers of fertility and live. Her presence alone has brought light and growth back to Spring.”
“And children,” Kal murmured. You chuckled softly. You knew your every growing family was a source if jealousy from several other High Lords and Ladies.
“Yes, and children. The increase of faelings in Spring has been our biggest blessing. We are averaging 20-25 babes a year instead of the standard 3.”
You watched Rhys smile behind his hand as Feyre still refused to look your way. “And how many more do you two plan on having?” The question came from Cassian. He had taken to his nieces and nephew like they were second nature to him. He was their favorite uncle, and Nesta was fighting Elain hard for favorite Auntie.
Tamlin looked at you. “Perhaps we will be done after this new one arrives.” You shook your head quickly, lip pouting out. “I promised her 12.” Eris and Lucien both spit out their wine. Having grown up with many siblings, the two of them both looked shocked as Helion and Lady Autumn both smiled wide. “We will decide here in a month or two.”
Your hand absentmindedly moved to your very swollen stomach. This one was a boy. You felt it in your soul, and new Tamlin was secretly excited over the idea of another beautiful son.
The meeting came to a close as soon as Summer finished their updates. Tamlin helped you stand, moving his hand to your lower back as he walked you and your three toddlers out of the room. You could feel both of their eyes on you. A lingering cold Hazel gaze, a heartbroken blue one.
He tugged the bond softly before winnowing you home and immediately taking you to bed as the children's nannies all came to collect them for nap time.
“She looked regretful,” Tamlin unlocked your dress, kissing your shoulder softly. “She will approach soon.”
“It doesn't matter if she does.” The acceptance came so easily now. “We have each other, our family. We have this,” you tugged the bond. “Nothing will come between our happy ever after.” You held your pinky to his, and he wrapped his much larger one around it. “To us and our happy ever after then.”
“To us, petal.”

Pollen allergies
day 3: Mates
Summary: Y/n is tired of her brother and mate.
•○●⛦●○•
A/n: just some lil fluff for @tamlinweek hehe
enjoyy!!
Tumblr media
Y/n wasn't sure whether her ears hurt more or her head.
She wondered if it even compared to the suffering her brother was going through.
Being the mate of the high lord of spring was fun, really. But having a brother allergic to pollen was not.
And what was worse than that?
Having a husband who loved to bully and tease your brother.
"Y/n tell him to shut up, please!"
Y/n sighed as Cassian's whine reached her ears, and she turned to find him stomping up to her, Tamlin cackling as he followed behind.
"Oh Y/n, please tell me to shut up-"
He was interrupted by Cassian's loud sneeze, followed by his angry sniff.
"I hate you!"
Y/n covered her face, looking like she was tired of the two of them, but she was just trying to hide her laugh.
"Tam, don't be mean-"
Achoo
"Cassian, do you want to get some rest?"
"Yes."
Y/n left her laughing mate behind as she led her brother to a guest bedroom, carefully designed to keep out pollen so Cassian could visit Y/n without having to greet death, as he claimed he would anytime he had to visit.
Cassian sulked through the door and into the room, pouting as he closed the door behind him, leaving Y/n shaking her head at his antics.
"Aw, poor baby-"
Y/n turned to glare at her mate, who reared back, his hands in the air in a I'm a harmless creature gesture.
"Why do you have to always bully him like that?" She mumbled as she walked closer to him, and he continued grinning.
"But it's so fun." He reached out, tugging her into his chest. Y/n buried her face in his chest, breathing deeply, feeing the golden string connecting them flare to life in glee.
"Sure."
He dropped his head, smiling against the side of her head.
"I love you, mate."
"I love me too, mate."
Y/n rolled her eyes and simply winnowed away before he could say anything.
"Hey!"

Hi could you please write some headcanons for Tarquin and Tamlin, about what they'd do or how would they react if their mates where pregnant.
ofc my love !! thanks for the request. requests are open. COMMENTS AND REBLOGS APPRECIATED <3
pregnant s/o hc’s
characters: tarquin. tamlin.
warnings: none all fluff!
Tumblr media
tarquin
his goal (aside from class equality, let’s go king tarquin 😌) has always been to settle down and start a family. so you can imagine his absolute JOY when he found out you were pregnant.
he starts bragging about the baby before they’re even born.
oh he’s just the best. he knows your strong, independent, and capable, so i honestly don’t think he’d hover too much. he knows you can handle yourself, which is one of the reasons why he loves you so much.
all that he ask is if you leave the palace to either take cressida, varian, or one of the guards just in case.
one thing he will do though is make sure you’re eating and sleeping well. he wants this baby to be healthy, so that means keeping YOU healthy.
def talks to the baby at night.
hell lay by your side, his hand rubbing your stomach gently as he tells both of his favorite people about his day and what he has planned for tomorrow.
never leaves u without kissing your tummy first, even when the babe was a little bean.
overall, very excited to bring a sweet new life into the world.
Tumblr media
tamlin
did someone say childhood trauma 🤔
please make sure you have someone else with you when you break the news to him, he will pass out and fall over immediately.
i think he’s be pretty freaked out at first. we all know how his own childhood was, and the memories he has of his brothers and father.
hopes for a girl so that they can be like you and his mother 🤍 but would be just as happy with a boy.
once he gets over his initial shock and fear, oh lordssss.
where tarquin was chill tamlin was most definitely the exact opposite.
always fussing. one wince and he’s like “is it the baby? are you okay? what do you need?”
it was sweet at first, but the later you get in the pregnancy the more annoying it gets. you had to yell at him to tell him to just leave you the fuck alone a few times before he started to chill out.
gives you everything you want, even if it’s a whim.
he’s so nervous to be a dad, he doesn’t want to mess up. he also knows the legacy he’s bringing the child into and wants to change for them.
he won’t want them to deal with all the conflicts and petty drama he’s had to go through over the years. he’s make a point to begin to right his wrongs so that that may be a reality for his child.
summary - very stressed someone give this man some tea and a nap

Tumblr media
Mor showed up a few days later. She appeared as you were lounging in a chair, attempting to read some random romance novel you’d come across.
“He’s taking her to The Weaver,” She stated in lue of a greeting.
“Well then he’s a fool,” You snorted, not looking up from your book.
“YN,” She warns, “He’s taking her to The Weaver.”
“Yes I heard you,” you roll your eyes and look up, “What difference does it-”
You stop upon seeing the look on her face. The worry and the pain hidden there. You swallow the lump in your throat at the sight. She looked at you like you would break at any moment, and maybe you would. Maybe she saw the truth in you.
“They’re mates, aren’t they?” You question, voice sounding strange.
She only nods and moves to sit on the couch across from you. You nod slowly in understanding. You wanted to be happy for them, but somehow you couldn’t feel it. Like there was something wrong with you. Like you were broken.
“I had a feeling,” You tell her, “From the moment she became Fae and he came for her the first time. I had a feeling.”
It was true, you did have a feeling. Something deep within you told you that they were drawn to one another in ways that neither of them could explain. You often wondered if that was the same with Azirel too. If you were secretly mates, you used to pray for it as a child. Because you couldn’t imagine a better mate than him
To this day you still couldn’t imagine a better mate. But how could he want you now? Mate or not. You’d never have the same relationship that you had before. Nothing would be the same. How could you pretend to be the same person you were when you were taken when everything around you was different? You weren’t sure how you were going to do any of this.
“Please come home,” Mor begged.
“I can’t,” You try to keep your voice from breaking, “I can’t go back there.”
“Why?” She demands, standing from the couch, “Why are you denying yourself this? It’s Valaris! Your favorite place in all the world! You hate being here, you always have.”
“Maybe I deserve to be here,” You mumble, “Maybe I deserve to be away from all of you.”
“What are you talking about?” She questions.
“I didn’t try to run when I could have. I gave up. I fucking gave up and accepted my fate there,” You explain, slamming your book shut, “I let myself become Tamlin’s little play thing, I allowed him to strip my powers away. I let him do everything to me and I never fought back.”
“You never deserved what happened to you,” She shook her head, “I’m not so sure that I wouldn’t have given up either, if I’d been in your shoes.”
“I spent fifty years thinking all of you were dead.”
“Oh, Y/N.”
“I really did give up then. Because I realized Rhys wouldn’t be able to come for me. Up until that point, up until she took him, I was convinced he would come save me. That all of you would somehow find out I was still alive and come marching into the Spring Court and raze it to the ground.”
You shake your head, trying to clear the thoughts that were swirling about. Your back ached along the two big scars. Everything about you just hurt. Your skin, your head, your chest, your heart…everything. You just wanted it to stop. You needed it to stop.
Mor sat back down and reached over to take your hands in hers. There was nothing but love in her eyes, no sign of the pain that you saw when she first arrived. You want to pull away from her, pull away from the tender touch that reminded you too much of your mother.
“You survived,” She swore, looking deeply into your eyes, “You made it out. You were brave and cunning and you survived. That’s all that matters now.”
Your head shakes again, “No, it’s not all that matters. You can’t understand, none of you can.”
“Then help me understand,” She begs, “Help me understand what’s going on. Help me help you.”
“You can’t help me, Morrigan,” You said, standing up and ripping your hands away from hers.
You walked to one of the large widows, wondering how bad it would be if you flung yourself from the Palace. How much would it hurt when you crashed into the mountain below? Would it be enough to bring you the release you so desperately craved? Would Mor be able to stop you in time?
You thought long and hard about it, but in the end you turned away from the window. Hating yourself for even thinking such a thing. It would destroy Rhys to get you back only to lose you again. You couldn’t do that to him. That was the only thing stopping you.
“Azriel knows we’re hiding something,” She says from her spot on the couch, “I’m not sure how much longer we can hold him off.”
You nearly cringe at the sound of his name. Cauldron, what is he going to do when he finds out about you? How will he react? Will he even want to be in the same room as you? Will he be able to stand to look at you after everything you’ve done?
“I don’t care,” You lied, “I don’t give a fuck if he thinks you’re hiding something. You don’t tell him about me.”
“Yes I know, Rhys’ order was very clear,” She rolls her eyes.
“You should go,” You tell her, “Before they wonder where you are.”
She sighs and gets up from the couch. You can tell she wants to say something else but decides against it. You watch as she disappears into darkness. You finally felt that you were able to breathe once she left.
You fell deeper and deeper into the darkness as the days went on. The feeling in your chest only got worse with time. You wondered what would happen if you went down to The Hewen City. What would they do if their princess suddenly reappeared after so many years.
You wondered if they’d kill you, just to spite Rhys. Or if they’d bow down to you like they used to. But then you remembered one of the last conversations you had with Azriel, and how he hated the way so many of the males talked about you and you felt sick.
Everything surrounding Az seemed to make you feel that way these days. You could feel it deep in your chest, the sort of ache you always seemed to feel whenever you were away from him. After all of these years it still hadn’t subsided. In fact it seemed to be getting worse as each day passed by. Like being back in the Night Court and being so close to him was making it worse. Or maybe it was the fact that the Faebane was finally starting to wear off and your powers were coming back.
No matter the reason, you weren’t sure that you could go on like this any more. You didn’t know how you could live with the constant ache forever. Because you never planned on going back to Valaris, you couldn’t face the city you loved after what you did. After how you allowed your mother to be killed. She loved Valaris, and loved flying over the city. And it was your fault she was dead, no matter what anyone else said. You were to blame.
You didn’t expect Rhys to appear several days later. He looked tired. You wanted nothing more than to wrap your arms around him and tell him that it was going to be okay. But even you didn’t believe that. You couldn’t believe that it would be okay. Too much had happened.
“We’re going to the Summer Court,” He tells you, “Feyre, Amren, and myself.”
“Enjoy.”
“Little Star, tell me what to do,” He begs, stepping closer to you, “Tell me how to help you.”
“I’ll tell you like I told Mor,” You sigh, “You can’t help me.”
“Come back to Valaris, be with your family.”
Your head shakes. You couldn’t bear to face Cassian and Azriel. Not now, maybe not ever. It’s something Rhys could never understand. He was able to readjust easily after Amerantha. But he hadn’t spent hundreds of years being beaten and mistreated. He wasn’t starved and drugged every day. You couldn't be mad at him, as much as you wanted to be. Because you knew he suffered too.
“I can’t come back.”
“You keep saying that but you never say why,” he challenged.
“Because it’s all my fault!” you finally broke, tears streaming down your face, “It’s my fault, Rhysand. She could still be alive if I had just done something. Anything. But I didn’t.”
“If you’re to blame, then so am I,” He countered, “It should be just as much my fault. I told Tamlin where you would be. I’m the one who didn’t come to meet you as I promised, I left you undefended.”
“It’s not your fault, Rhys,” You felt anger boiling up in you now.
Because you didn’t blame him. You never did. He had duties to attend to that day, you understood that he couldn’t get away. He trusted Tamlin. The son of spring had him fooled, and that was not Rhys’ fault. Not in the slightest.
“Then it isn’t your fault either,” He gently argued.
You can’t help but shake your head again. He didn’t understand. He couldn’t understand. He wasn’t there. He didn’t hear her. He doesn’t see her every time he closes his eyes, he doesn't hear her screams in his nightmares.
“You don’t understand,” You cried, “She didn’t even beg for herself. Even as they cleaved her wings from her body, she only begged for my life. Begged for them to set me free. Even as they hacked her to pieces, she cried for me.”
“Y/N-”
“I’ll live with that knowledge forever,” You sob, “Do you have any idea what that’s like? To know that you failed your mother? That she died for nothing, because you are nothing?”
“Don’t say that.”
“Why? It’s true. I have nothing left to give,” You shrug, fighting back the tears, “There’s nothing left for me.”
He surges forward and grabs your shoulders, “Don’t say that. Don’t you even think about it. Never think about something like that. There is so much left for you in this life.”
“It doesn’t feel that way, Rhys,” You feel numb all of the sudden.
The void is back. And you’re once again a shell of yourself with no fight left to give. You sag against Rhys’ hold on you, wishing you could just crawl back into your bed and forget that this conversation ever happened.
You wish he would just leave already so you could just disappear within yourself again. You wished he would just leave you alone to waste away. It seemed to be the only thing you could think of doing these days.
He looks into your eyes and goes silent for a moment. You know the look he has, he’s speaking to someone, mind to mind. You feel anxiety well up within you, because you have no idea who he’s speaking with and what he’s telling them.
You can only hope that it’s Morrigan and nothing else. You can only hope that he’s trying to ascertain how serious you are about having nothing left. But then shadows ripple in the room, subtly at first, but enough that you realize it. And it’s not you calling to them
“You promised me,” You cry, hitting his chest, “You fucking promised.”
“I won’t let you wither away to nothing,” He says sternly, “Not when there’s someone who can stop it.”
The shadows take form. You rip yourself from Rhys’ grasp and try to run but you hardly make it out of the room before the man is then flesh. You know the second he’s here, because you can feel it in your very bones.  Like a song in your blood. You try to keep moving but your body betrays you and stops. You think that maybe he won’t take notice of you. Maybe he’ll be too focused on Rhys. But then you hear footsteps. So hesitant, so light you hardly hear them.
You can hear your heartbeat in your ears, or maybe it’s his. You think you might drop dead here. Right in front of both of them, and then where would they be? Your hands are shaking, just like the rest of your body. But you keep your back towards him, too afraid to turn around.
A hand reaches for your shoulder. His touch is featherlight, but you can feel his scars through the thin material of your shirt. You knew it was him, long before he touched you. You could smell him better now though. Could feel that void in your chest slowly starting to fill.
As if his very presence was enough to bring you back to life.
Hesitantly, he speaks. Voice so silky and deep, just as you remembered it in your dreams. Only now it’s a dream made real, and he’s here. You’re alive and he’s alive and suddenly he’s gently spinning you around to face him.
There are tears in his eyes as he opens his mouth, “Y/N.”
It’s the only thing you hear as he studies your face. Your lip trembles as tears fall anew. You can feel the air filling your chest, nothing but the scent of him filing your nose. For the first time in years you want to smile, because he’s here. And more devastatingly beautiful than you remembered him being.
“Az,” you cry out softly.
He pulls you into his chest, holding you there tightly. For the first time in a couple of hundred years, you felt complete. You nuzzle into him, still crying, getting his leathers wet with your tears. You couldn’t bring yourself to care though, because it just felt right. You could feel it deep within your chest, the part of you that always seemed to connect you to him.
“You’re alive,” You can hear the disbelief in his voice, and the wonder too.
“You’re alive,” You cry, finally allowing the words to sink in.
He was alive, after all of these years. He was untouched during Amarantha’s rule. Valaris was untouched. Everyone that you loved was okay, and so were you. Somehow, for the male holding you and your brother, you would fight to be okay.
He pulls away from you and cups your face. You watch as he looks you over, carefully scanning your body. Any of the lingering bruises from Tamlin had faded away into nothing. There was nothing to prove that anything happened at all besides the two long scars on your back.
“Y/N,” He whispers again, “Oh my Y/N.”
Then he leaned in to kiss you and it was as if your whole world shifted to just him. He was the only thing that mattered. Just Azirel. Always only Azriel. Your Azriel. Your perfect, beautiful, scarred Azriel.

The light and the dark
Type: series
Part: 2/?
Other parts here
Pairing: Azriel x reader
Summary:What happens when Feyre returns home for the second time, well the first time for Yn.
*3rd person pov*
Feyre sits arguing with Nesta as them, Rhysand, Azriel, Cassian, and Elain sit at the long table when the bang of a door swinging open sounds from downstairs and the yell of the youngest Archeron follows “I’m home” Yn stomps into the room with her head down before turning and shrugging off her coat, Feyre notes her sisters gained more muscle, and scars.
“Man this guy he fucking- he fucking clawed at my face man, like a fucking cat.” Yn still hadn’t noticed the fae in her room or the fact that Feyre had stood from her seat. “Oh um I was planning to uh go out to search for Feyre again tomorrow by the way.” That causes the four fae to freeze. She hadn’t known? Finally Yn turns to face the table and Feyre has just enough time to study the jagged talon scar across her face-the one from Tamlin. “Feyre?” Yn lunges at her sister, burying her head in her chest as she’s pulled just as tight, tears escaping both female eyes.
The girl turned far freezes as her sister pulls away and her hands move curiously to her ears, Rhysand growing more tense and ready to step in if needed, “gods I didn’t think you could get more beautiful sister.” A small smile graces Yn’s lips as she continues to study her sister.
———
*yns pov*
A small humorless laugh leaves my sister, “I thought you’d hate me. That that was the reason you weren’t here the first time I returned?”
I freeze, my body going rigid, “you-you’ve been here before?” My face falls as it dawns on me, “Nesta, you lied to me! While I was out searching for my sister she was here? You never.” I shake my head, “I can’t believe you. I can’t, gods you really are a selfish bitch.” My mouth is open in disbelief pain and hate in my eyes.
“Yn. Please calm- calm down.” Feyre’s voice is so soft I barely hear it as she holds my arm, I turn to her and nod and that’s when I notice them. I’d been to worked up to notice the three males in the room, two adorning wings-Illyrians as I had read and the other what seems to be a high fae.
I storm to the violet eyed high fae knowing he’s the one that can transform to a beast. “You bastard! You took her from me!” Before anyone has time to react I’m on top of the male as he lies on the ground, landing blow after blow to his face. “You took her! You kidnapped her, what did you do with her? Why-“ Something cool carefully pulls me from the male with a soft grip around my waist. As I’m stood up I notice one of the illyrians-the one with red gems adorning his leathers has his head tipped back in a barking laughter, the other stands, shadows I hadn’t noticed before swirling him; that’s when I notice, the thing that picked me up was a tendril of his shadows. I look down and touch it curiously, it scurries up my face, curling around my ear and caressing my face. A smile graces my lips, “hello little guy.”
“Yn. This is Rhysand. He is not the one who kidnapped me, he is the one who saved me. And this is Cassian,” she points to the Illyrian who was laughing, “and that is Azriel,” as he’s addressed, the shadow floats over to him.
I turn to ‘Rhysand’, blood drips down his nose and split lip. “How do I know he hasn’t threatened you into saying that?” My eyes never leave the male as he smiles.
“I can show you, I can show her memories if she is ok with it of course.” He turns to my sister and she nods, her small smile still there in encouragement.
“Fine.” It comes out a strangled sigh before my eyes glaze and I’m shown everything. Afterward I turn to my sister, seething. “I have at least a dozen names to add to my list of people I shall kill.” Cassian laughs again, and I spin to face him, “do you have a problem? Is it just you or are all you Illyrian males like this?”
“It’s just him.” Azriel has a small smirk painting his lips, “he’s quite immature.” The male sticks his gloved hand out to me, and I take it as he bows slightly and kisses my star flecked hand. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Feyre speaks very highly of you.”
“The pleasures all mine.” We stare at one another longer than what is considered necessary before I clear my throat and back away, “how do you control the shadows?”
My question seems to catch him by surprise as one of said shadows- as if called comes to twirl around my hand. “I’m what’s known as a shadowsinger, I don’t control them per se, more speak to them, understand their language.” Everyone watches for a moment as the shadow continues to twist around me like a dance, more joining it. “They’ve never acted like this with anyone. I’m sorry.”
“No dont apologize,” my grin is directed to him now, “I think they’re quite lovely.”
The night goes on as I ignore my two eldest sisters and continue talking with the fae before they must leave with a sad goodbye.

Tumblr media
Summary - After being sent to the Spring court by her new High Lord, y/n Vanserra is in for a bigger surprise and welcome home than she could have ever imagined. (Smut)
Warnings - mentioned failed engagement, praise kink, mention of breeding kink, vine related bondage, sex pollen, Rhys kind of being a dick, and some Rhys slander, unedited by an outside source (dying on the inside about that, so will continue to you know constantly fix it)
A/N - I apologize for the delay on this. After rereading the original, I REALLY hated how I had Rhysand treating my Vanserra reader when the reality is he is pushing her there for the good of everyone involved. I'm still not 100% happy with this piece, but I'm a sucker for the Tamlin.
Tumblr media
There were perks to being Lucien's sister.
You always had the best clothing, sparkling jewelry, and Lucien, ever the dutiful brother since the shared banishment, would always ensure you were warm and safe.
There were also downsides to being Lucien's sister.
The biggest was sitting across from you at his mahogany desk, inky dark hair a mess from the verbal disagreement you two were having.
You hated the Night Court. Rhysand reminded you too much of Beron, too much of Eris. And for no reason.
The most powerful High Lord in the History of the lands, but he couldn't be bothered to take care of all of his fae? Just the ones in his precious Velaris?
That wasn't power in your mind. It was discrimination. It was willful ignorance.
“You cannot command me to go to a court I am banished from, therefore to my fucking death, just to repair YOUR mistakes. Send Azriel or Lucien.”
Rhysand sighed and leaned back. “Azriel has better things to do than play liaison between the Night Court and Tamlin. Lucien was also beaten the last time he was there.”
Rhys paused, locking the door with his magic as footsteps were heard approaching. “You know damn well why I am sending you.”
“He doesn't want it, Rhysand,” defeat laced your tone. “He made that pretty clear.”
“That was when Amarantha was alive. When being with you would have endangered your life. See it from-”
“I see a male who went to war for someone else,” you interrupted. “Who is mourning someone else.”
Rhys slammed his hands down and stood, “Enough! You're going. Pack a fucking bag and get ready.”
An order.
You felt it sit into your bones, weighing them down. You stood and left the office, Lucien closing his book as you did and walking beside you.
“It will be fine,” Lucien seemed to be convincing himself more than you. “He won't hurt you.”
The reality you didn't respond with was that he already had.
Azriel walked beside you silently. You were leading him, gently tugging that frayed bond to lead you to Tamlin. “I won't leave you.”
You nodded. “I wish you would.”
He looked up and sighed. “He shouldn't have asked this of you.”
“He didn't ask,” you clarified. “He ordered. I wasn't given a choice but to obey.”
Azriel's jaw tightened. “I wish you two would get along.”
“Tall ask. You can go. I know where he is.”
It was the same place he always was after Feyre left.
The same place Lucien had found him.
It was the same place you knew you were walking towards for the last mile.
The Starlight Pool.
You had heard the whispered ghost stories. The now almost legend of the High Lord of Spring, a male so lost in grief over the loss of his love that he changed himself into a beast and seemed to have lost the ability to turn back.
The myth Tamlin had become was almost laughable.
Children would whisper that he'd shift back for true love and nothing else. Once that shift happened, Spring would repair and thrive under his hand.
You sighed, sitting next to him as he glared hard at you. True love, my ass, You thought to yourself. “Don't look so thrilled to see me. I'm not exactly excited to be here either.”
Tamlin seemed to roll his eyes before placing His head into your lap. He didn't verbally respond in your mind. Just kept staring ahead at the pool, watching as sunlight danced off the water.
Your hand absentmindedly went to scratch behind his ears, a soft chuckle escaping as he began to purr softly. “We're worried about you, Tam. About Spring. Dad has allied Autumn with a Death God. The continent is an unknown ally. He sees your current state as a chance to start war between the courts.”
His eyes shifted towards you, and he stood. He seemed to motion for you to follow. Eyes locked towards where the remains of his home, your former home stood. “I'm not going in there,” you whispered. “The last time I was in there-”
You didn't need to finish the sentence.
He had locked you and Feyre inside. Trapping you both there.
Only she had been saved by Mor.
His efforts to lock you in had been greater.
Leaving you in just your room with only Alis allowed to enter and leave until he and Lucien returned. Your captivity didn't end until he banished you after Feyre and Lucien ran.
It was worse than being confined to Amarantha's room with Rhys as your only company.
Here you had been alone. Truly alone.
At least Rhys had tried to make light of the situation.
And if you were honest with yourself, constantly seeing Rhysand naked also helped. But he's had told you many times that feeling was mutual.
Tamlin stopped. He turned to you with his head cocked as if questioning your stubbornness and then stalked over to you. “We talk where there won't be ears listening or not at all, y/n. You decide.”
You didn't have time to answer before he all but headbutted you onto his back and began walking.
Tamlin all but threw you down when you two entered the manor. He sat staring at you, not shifting from his beast form. “Did you forget how to shift back? Or do you just not want to?”
Tamlin huffed again, eyes staring into you as you dug into the broken glass on the floor with your foot. He disappeared for a few moments, returning to you in his fae form.
“Tam..” You moved to him, hands holding his dirty face. “You can't keep living like this.” His normally silky golden hair was tangled and stained. Grown out and matted from a lack of maintenance. He was covered in dirt, and Mother knew what else. “Tamlin-”
He shook his head, moving to the stairs while holding your hand in his. “There's still one safe place here. Come.”
You followed him, heart aching as you took in the wreckage of your home. Your former safe haven. Glass and splintered wood were everywhere, deep claw marks down formerly painted walls. Doors ripped from hinges and rooms ransacked for money, for goods, for anything worth a mark.
He took you down a familiar path, down a familiar hall. He took you past the room's Feyre and Lucien had occupied, down further and further until you were in an all too well-known spot. The hall you and he had occupied.
His room was destroyed as well. Windows shattered, floor boards missing.
But two doors at the end of the hall stood closed and heavily warded.
The one you two had built a nursery in.
And the one that led to what would have been your quarters as Lady Spring.
He opened the door to your chambers, wordlessly, and pulled you in. He watched in silence as you stood there.
Nothing had changed.
It was as if your room had stood completely still as war raged all around it.
Countless flower crowns hung on the walls. Their beauty perfectly preserved. Your perfumes, makeup, lotions, hair brushes. They all sat neatly lined up on that carved rosewood vanity, mirror still tilted exactly how you liked it. The romance novel you had been reading sat, bookmark still in place on the coffee table.
Even the two-piece light blue dress you had planned to wear that day he sent you from home was hung up in the exact spot.
“I had always wanted to see you in that dress,” Tamlin walked to it like a ghost, fingers reaching for the material before pulling back. “You never wore it, though.”
Your response was quiet, brain still processing the room, “I didn't ever have an occasion to. We purchased it for our engagement tour.”
Tamlin hummed softly. “I never wanted to call that off.”
The confession hung. Ringing in your ears as he moved to your bathroom, also untouched as the day you had left, and shut the door behind him.
You turned to that other rosewood door. The one you knew led to the nursery for the future babe you and Tamlin had planned on trying for before Amarantha came and ruined your wedding, your mateship, your lives.
You turned the golden knob before freezing completely.
Nothing had moved. The stuffed animals still sat in their hammocks. The crib was still made. The soft curtains still drawn to allow in light.
He preserved you. Only you. Only memories and places involving you. A familiar deep voice entered your mind. I sent you for a reason. You are just too damn stubborn to listen. Claws left as quickly as they came. Your mind empty until two now clean hands found your upper arms.
“I have a lot to make up for-”
You stopped him before he could start, turning rapidly in his arms and pulling his lips down to yours.
Apologies didn't matter to you right now.
You had always believed actions spoke louder than words ever could, and his actions were screaming. They were pleading, no begging, for you to see what Rhysand must have when he came here.
Tamlin didn't want Feyre.
He didn't want that forced love that came from dire circumstances.
He wanted you.
He wanted that love that had started as friendship when you took asylum in Spring.
He wanted that love that grew from several years of courtship.
He wanted the love you two shared that came long before a Mother placed mating bond ever snapped.
Tamlin quickly lifted you, carrying you into the bedroom. You pulled away, forehead resting On his to catch a breath. “I never stopped loving you, and I am so sorry my anger, my hatred, and my need for control stood in the way of that. I will never be able to fix what I broke.”
You shook your head, ignoring the tears forming as he stroked the bond gently. “Sometimes broken things become better once they're allowed to grow and repair.”
Tamlin hummed softly. “You're making this easy on me.”
You responded only with a kiss as he laid you on the bed, hands finding his bare chest. “You cleaned up quickly.”
“You tend to when the love of your life is standing in your ruined home and all you want to do is show her how much you love her, how sorry you are, and worship every inch of her body.”
Tamlin began kissing your cheekbones, then ear, then down your jawline. You nodded as he paused at your neck, a brow raised and waiting for confirmation and consent. You eagerly nodded. Mind already getting lost in the sensations you had not felt in over 50 years.
You knew the anger would come back, the absolute rage with him for what he did to you, to Feyre, to Lucien. You knew the hurt would come back. You knew this was a bandage on a gapping wound just waiting for infestation, but all you could think about what his soft lips kissing and marking their way down the column of your throat, and those wandering hands.
“Hate Night Court attire,” he mumbled into your collarbone before both hands ripped the dress to your navel. “Might as well wear nothing.”
You hand traced to his hair, gently massaging his scalp as he continued to kiss down to your breasts. “So perfect,” he seemed to be speaking to himself, mind trapped in a fog as he licked between the valley of chest and squeezed both of them. He flicked your right nipple as he gently pinched the left before beginning to lick and suck at the sensitive peak, smirking as your back arched and a soft whisper of his name fell from your lips. He waited until he was satisfied before releasing the bud with a soft pop and moving to the other side.
His hands continued moving down, lifting his body slightly, he tore the dress the rest of the way, leaving you bare to him and allowing his hands to move down to your hips, thumbs softly massaging the area.
Tamlin had always been a gentle lover with you, kissing and worship, murmuring praise and adoration into your skin as if those words would erase the years of degradation and pain your father had inflicted.
It was like a fever had hit you the second you realized his lips had followed his hands and he nipped at your hip bone with a hum. You sniffed the air as you felt him chuckling below you. “Unfair,” you whined, back arching again as he kissed your inner thigh before placing your leg over his shoulder. “Tam!” You almost jumped as he kitten licked your core, a growl coming from him as the sight of your soaked heat just begging for him. “Tamlin, I'm not going to last if you keep-” a lick through your folds that nudged the bundle of nerves at the apex of your thighs made silence fall over you.
You sniffed the air again, scenting that almost sticky sweet scent again as your body began to heat up and relax further into his touch.
Being the mate of the High Lord of Spring had it's perks.
The first was the male, due to years of celebrating Fire Night, knew what he was doing. That was evident as he alternated now between pushing his tongue into your core, opening your walls for him, and suckling and rolling that sweet bundle of nerves over and over humming with each moan that tumbled from your lips and each tug of his hair.
The second perk was also a downside.
Tamlin's powers allowed him to control pollens.
All pollens.
Including the sweet smelling one that was adapting it's self to a scent of musk and rain, wrapping you in the all too familiar and intoxicating scent of your mate and sending your body into overdrive with need.
Sex pollens were Tamlin's favorite thing to use on you.
He loved watching you writhing below him, begging incoherently for something-anything- to ease the heat and arousal paining you.
He loved how quickly you became cock drunk for him, eyes glistening and glazed over from tears. Mouth open as you panted the entire time.
And he loved how quickly and how many times he could force you to cum.
He was pushing for that one, eating your pussy for his pleasure as if it was the most divine meal he'd had in years. Savoring each drop of you like it was the finest wine in the land.
You were almost in tears at this point, riding and grinding on his face until a forearm came and held your hips firmly against the bed. A warning of the third perk of being his mate if you did not behave. “Stop. Moving.” He growled at you, “Or I will stop you myself.”
“Yes, High Lord,” he growled again at the submission, going back to his task at hand. A long whine left your throat as he sucked your clit into his mouth and his free hand moved up your thigh, stroking the soft inner skin there before running along your dripping core. He didn't ease you in, pushing In two wet thick fingers and make your mouth fall open into a silent scream.
He curled them up exactly where he needed to and began hitting that spot over and over in time with his tongue, humming and moaning into you as he got off on your noises of need and pleasure.
You could feel your peak building rapidly and the bond beginning to vibrate for release. “Tam,” you panted out. “Fuck! Tamlin!” You came without warning, screaming his name as his tongue circled your clit again. He never slowed his assault, forcing you to ride it out until your body began to slowly calm itself from the dragged out high and the heat from the sex pollen subsided slightly.
Tamlin released your clit and pulled his fingers from you, licking and sucking them clean as his eyes closed and he almost purred.
He crawled back up your body, kissing you softly. “More,” you begged as your stomach began to retighten, pussy clenching around nothing.
He kissed your neck, nipping at the spot that he knew drove you wild with need. “More?” You nodded eagerly, hands shooting for his pants only to stopped by a familiar thick crawling feeling.
Vines wrapped around your wrists and ankles, pulling your hands above your head and your legs wide open for him. Trapping you with nowhere to go and completely at his mercy. “I told you to stop moving,” he tutted softly.
You watched as he stood, fighting helplessly against the vines pulling tighter and tighter until you stilled. Tamlin removed his pants antagonizingly slow before getting back on top of you. You whined again, unable to communicate what you needed as a full pollen induced haze left you nothing but a mess soaking the sheets below you. “There's my lovely little mate,” a finger stroked your cheek, affection and adoration pouring down the bond. “So pretty when we need our High Lord's cock, aren't we?”
“Please,” his eyes fluttered shut at The plea, loosing your legs slightly to wrap and lock them around his waist using the vine. “Mate, please.”
That one word.
That one Mother blessed word.
It had his end of the bond screaming. Pushing lust, love, and primal need to breed down to you.
Tamlin lined up either your entrance, head of his cock already leaking as he twitched with anticipation. “Mate, take me, please.” He pushed in to the hilt swiftly causing a gasp to push through you as he all but ripped the Air from your lungs.
He didn't wait For you to adjust, that feral urge now winning over, and he set a rough fast pace. Pulling back and slamming into you over and over causing the headboard to pound against the wall.
You had forgotten How he felt, stretching you wide and kissing your cervix with each harsh thrust. You had forgotten how good he felt, each vein massaging your walls and hitting nerves Helion's court had even discovered or named yet. You had forgotten how perfect and complete You felt below him, how his length filled you to the brim, slotting him inside of you like your pussy was a sleeve made just for him.
You remembered now why You had turned every lover away at your Door now.
No male or female could make you feel the way Tamlin did as he threw his head back, eyes squeezed shut moaning your name.
Even in submission, spread wide and laid bare for your mate, Tamlin made you feel power as he fucked you, taking your very being into his hands and craddling you tenderly.
“Fucking love you. Love you so much, y/n.” He groaned again, feeling your walls twitch. “Won't last in this perfect pretty pussy, Baby.” His hand moved, coming to your clit again. “Need to feel you cum on my cock. Need you to scream my name. Need to cum inside you, petal.”
You moaned, eyes beginning to water and drool coming out of your constantly open mouth. You were so lost in each thrust, each roll of his hips, each soft circle his finger made on you that you could only lay There. All words besides his name and the pleading for him to keep going to keep fucking you had eddied from your mind.
You felt your walls begin to twitch and then as your need for release began to approach a crescendo. “Tamlin,” whispered. “Tam-”
“I know, petal. I know. Me too. Need you to cum, y/n. Need you to, baby. Please.”
And there is was. His submission and begging sent you over the edge, screaming his name as you began to milk his cock and tightened your leg around him.
He spilled into you seconds later, moaning your name loudly as he buried himself deep inside of you.
Neither Of you spoke as you came down from that shared high. Vines slowly removed themselves from your body, causing you to fall limp onto The bed in a mess of whines and whimpers.
Tamlin rolled over, pulling you onto him and keeping his cock deep inside of you.
He reached to where the covers had been kicked to, pulling them on top of both of you and cradling you against his chest.
You felt the shields go back up. Eyes fluttering shut as he played with your tangled red hair.
“Y/n, you knew what today Was before you came. Right?” You hummed against him with a shrug. “Petal. It's Calanmai. We just-” Tamlin stopped speaking when he saw you were deep asleep. “We'll talk about it in the morning.”

Plants Of Thorn Bear The Prettiest Of Flowers
Summary: Another day, another kill.
•○●⛦●○•
A/n: Alright, so before you read this, be warned. The reader in this is bit dark and will do anything to win her father's approval.
FYI, she is the middle child, the second born after Rhysand and before Celeste, the one who later on dies along with their mom
anyways, enjoy!
•○🌑○•
Y/n flipped the dagger again, for what felt like the thousandth time as she walked through the winding halls of the Moonstone palace, humming a tune her father had hummed to her when she was a child to calm her down.
Her lips lifted at the edges, knowing she was the only one who got to see that side of their father.
It was not that she was glad that her father could not be bothered about her siblings, it was just that he was the only one who ever really gave Y/n any ounce of kindness other than her mother, and Y/n had snatched whatever scraps she could get and then moulded herself to someone who would not have to rely on scraps for affection.
"She can not find out about this, you know that right? She would skin us both alive." Y/n paused, her head turning the slightest towards where the voice was coming from.
Celeste. The youngest of the three children the High Lord had sired.
Y/n stood still, straining her ears to listen to what she was saying. Or more like who she was saying it to.
Y/n was almost sure Celeste was talking about her.
"I know."
The voice that reached Y/n's ears next was one she knew all too well, one she had come to like. Not love, not yet. That would be taking things too far too soon.
Alan.
"You need to leave."
"I know..."
Y/n glanced towards where the voice was coming from, cocking her head. It was a room where the servants kept supplies.
Honestly, they could have chosen a better place to partake in whatever act they had. Y/n rolled her eyes internally.
She turned away, and before they could realise that the event they had been fearful about had already come to pass, walked towards the nearest exit, erasing all traces of her presence as she went.
She opened her mind after she had hidden herself away in shadows, and it did not take long to have her father's attention on her.
Yes?
There is an intruder in the palace.
She knew she had her father's full attention on her then.
Interesting. Bring it to me.
On it.
•○🌑○•
It did not take long for Y/n to catch this intruder, and it took even less time for her to winnow him to her father's office, where her siblings were already waiting with him in tow, a bag over his head.
When she saw her siblings in his office, Y/n figured her father had drawn the conclusion that someone had let him in.
Y/n strutted in through doors, shoving the male she had in her arms to the floor.
"There comes my daughter." The High Lord drawled.
Y/n inclined her head, folding her arms behind her.
"Why have you summoned us here, father?"
Y/n glanced at her brother without moving her head, watching his face as it contorted with confusion.
But at his side, Celeste stared and stared at the male at Y/n's feet, the colour draining from her face.
"I'm sure Celeste knows why you have been summoned, don't you, Celeste?" Their father tuned his shrewd eyes to his youngest, whose eyes flew wide, shaking her head.
"I don't know what you are-"
"Don't play the fool with me girl. If you did not know who this was, you would not look like you had seen a ghost."
Rhysand's eyes flitted between his baby sister and father, wanting to know what the hell was going on.
"Y/n found an intruder walking freely around the palace." Their father spoke, drawing everyone's attention. "And he could not have come up here by himself, for he has no wings. Only four people have wings inside these walls, and neither Y/n nor your mother would have done this. That leaves you two to bring him up here, let him enter the wards. So," He stood, rounding the magnificent mahogany desk to lean against it, his hands in his pocket. "Who is it?"
Rhys glanced to Celeste, his eyes holding something akin to rage.
He sighed before he opened his mouth. "I brought him here. He is a friend-"
"Do you take me for a fool, boy? You have no friends save for the illyrian scum."
Rhys swallowed, and Y/n could see his hands clenching from where he had them behind his back. "Father-"
"If you continue lying, Celeste will receive the punishment for you."
Rhysand's mouth shut with an audible click.
"Ask her if she brought him up here. Do not waste my time, I have much work to do."
Rhysand only glanced at Celeste, who, with a scathing glare at Y/n, dipped her chin in a small nod.
"Hmm. Y/n?"
Y/n moved, walking to the shelf behind the desk and pulling out a whip, only one of multiple, and walked back to her father, holding it out to him.
He picked it up, studying it for a few moments before he hummed. "This will do. Celeste, now I want you to whip this young man here. Would fifty lashes be enough?"
No one moved, except for Alan, who began struggling. Y/n felt the heat of two glares on her face.
"Answer me!" The high lord's facade slipped for a moment, and he screamed, his voice high and scary, making his oldest and youngest flinch. Y/n stood still as a statue at his side, staring at a wall opposite.
"Father please." Celeste's voice wobbled, and Y/n ignored the part of her that rebelled at the fear that filled her voice.
Calm settled once again in her father's voice when he spoke next.
"Fine. If you don't want him to live, I will let Y/n slit his throat. That way you will have his head to keep in your room, and you won't sneak any more boys in."
Y/n knew it was no suggestion. That had been his plan all along, to kill the male.
Alan had stilled once again, the smell of fear that emanated from him very nearly overwhelming Y/n.
Y/n bowed her head to her father, and unsheathed the biggest dagger she owned, stalking forward.
Her previous lover looked up at her in fear when she tugged off the bag, silver lining his eyes as she grabbed him by the hair.
"Please. Don't do this." He whispered.
Y/n slipped into his mind, staring deep into his eyes as she raised the dagger to his throat, ignoring the scream emitting from her sister. She could not stop until her father told her to, and she would rather not disappoint him.
"This is what you get for betraying me, my trust, and wasting my time."
"Please don't do this Y/n. You know I love you. She tricked me-"
But before he could let another word slip, his throat was slit, and he drew in a wet sounding gasp, blood bubbling from the deep cut.
He was dead before his head was separated from his body. Y/n, still clutching his head, turned to look at her father as his body fell forward, landing with a sickening thud, blood splattering everywhere.
She raised her hand slightly, and he nodded to where her sister kneeled, her eyes fixed on the body on the ground. Swallowing the guilt that rose, Y/n let the head drop and roll to her sister's feet.
Rhysand, who clutched at Celeste's arms to keep her from running to Alan's body, growled. His eyes flashed to Y/n, filled with hatred, and Y/n turned away. Meeting her father's eyes, who smiled wide at her, and nodded his head to her legs.
"Get some servants to clean the filth up, then go and eat something."
Y/n bowed, then walked out the door, leaving all the events of the evening behind and hoping she could forget it all after she added a mark for him to her skin as a testament to her kills.

Orion's pov, 65 years ago.
Orion had just finished signing the paperwork for the renovations of a few houses in Velaris and leaned back in his chair when the sound of a child crying reached his ears. His brows furrowed when the cries only became louder, as if the child was coming closer to his office.
If Orion was being honest, he had not cared for his children for one day since they were born. There were nannies for that. But when the crying did not cease, he wondered what the hell the nanny was doing.
His wife was not present either, or she would have quieted the babe, Y/n, before she even started crying.
Y/n was... one of a kind. Orion knew she was different than his son the moment she was born.
He stood from his chair, hoping the nanny could quiet the girl before he got annoyed and stretched, popping his joints that had become stiff after having sat for so long.
Someone knocked on the doors to his office in the moonstone palace, and Orion sighed, walking up to it and yanking it open, ready to tell whoever it was to leave him alone-
The loud cries of the babe in the nanny's arms made Orion wince, and he glared at her.
"What?" He snapped at the young lower fae who he was sure was not Y/n's nanny.
"I beg your forgiveness my lord, but I am new here. Julia has been called away due to some family matters, and I don't know why, but the princess has been constantly crying for the past couple of hours."
He rose a brow at the female. Julia was the nanny that usually looked after Rhysand and Y/n, so it was a real shame that no one who knew how to take care of the kids was around.
Orion cursed his wife for leaving to visit Illyria without the babe.
"What do you expect me to do about it?"
"I just... my lord, I thought you would know how to calm her down."
The babe in the females arms screamed louder, her legs kicking. Her small hands fisting and pulling and pushing at the shoulder of the nanny.
Orion sighed, grabbing the little girl from the females arms. It felt a little awkward, considering it was the first time Orion was holding his daughter in his arms.
"Get lost. And no need to come back. Also, tell Julia to leave someone who actually knows how to do their work next time."
"But my lord-"
Orion did not give her the chance to complete the sentence, turning away and slamming the door shut with his leg.
He still held Y/n away from his body, his palms grasping at her ribs and holding her as if she was a dangerous object which could explode at any second.
She was.
Orion was just pondering what to do when he realised that Y/n had stopped screaming, soft sniffles the only sounds coming from her now. She stared at Orion with wide eyes, shiny with the tears still in them. She was panting a little, her chubby cheeks red.
Orion stared back. In the back of his mind, he wondered what she saw when she looked at him. Did she see a monster? A high lord? A fae male?
Her father?
Orion shook his head, trying to dislodge that thought and wondering what to do with Y/n. His arms were beginning to strain now, and he quickly looked around the room, his eyes landing on the couch near his desk.
Orion walked over, leaning down to set Y/n onto it.
But before she even touched the couch, her eyes widened, her mouth opening as a scream again ripped from her chest. Big, fat tears began running down her rounded cheeks, and Orion straightened.
She quieted instantly.
"What do you want me to do?" Orion questioned the little girl, who did nothing. Her eyes seemed to have been glued to his face.
Of course, he felt dumb for trying to converse to a babe.
Sighing, he wrapped his arms properly around her, just like the nanny had, and watched her reaction. She relaxed, settling into Orion's chest, looking around with curious eyes.
Orion huffed, deciding to try and set her down again. It was a mistake, as she... did not like that. She glared at her father with accusatory eyes, and amusement spread through him when she started blabbering to herself under her breath.
But Orion knew he could not stand with her in his arms all day. He still had more papers to sign and reports to read. Orion looked around once again, his eyes now lingering on the giant windows of the moonstone palace through which the distant mountains were visible, shining softly under the tender moonlight.
He turned so Y/n could look at it. "You want to look out of there?"
Her tiny fingers wrapped tightly around his shirt, and she turned her head away, staring at something on the wall behind the desk. Orion sighed.
Once he had settled down in his chair, he set her carefully on his lap, praying to the mother for his wife to return soon.
"Are you always this fussy?" He questioned, making her look up at him from where she was examining the wood of the desk. She babbled something at him, her index finger raised. Then she settled back against Orion's abdomen, her fingers twisting around her little dress. "Mother help me."
Orion returned to his paperwork, and it was almost an hour before he glanced down to the babe in his arms. She had not fussed at all since then, and it was a little suspicious.
There she was, sucking on her thumb, her other hand wrapped around the index finger of the hand that Orion had put around her to keep her from falling, her head resting in the crook of his elbow.
He could not stop the tiny smile that bloomed on his face at the sight.
•○🌑○•
Orion's pov, now.
Orion took a sip of his drink, glancing up from the paperwork he was examining. His eyes found the hunched form of his eldest daughter as she worked on a few reports for him.
Feeling his eyes on her, she glanced up. "Father? Is there anything you need?"
"How long till the reports are finished?"
"Only a couple of pages left."
Orion hummed, gulping down the rest of his whiskey before speaking. "Where did your mother and sister go to again?"
Y/n blinked. "Oh, they told me they were going to visit Rhys in Illyria."
Orion nodded, reaching out to grab the whiskey decanter to pour himself another glass. Y/n returned to her work.
His wife had told him she was visiting Illyria. She did not tell him she was going to meet their son.
He would have to have a chat with her.
His eyes again wandered back to his daughter as he leaned back.
That first day when he had held her and then she had fallen asleep on him flashed through Orion's mind, and a small smirk quirked the side of his lips.
She had come far. So far.
From that innocent little babe who just wanted love to this- this tool who would do anything to please her father.
He was proud of her, he realised. Though he had never said that to her. He probably never would.
Or returned to his paperwork, storing that information in the back of his mind to be analysed later.
He had just picked up his quill when that first feeling of terror and pain came through the usually closed off side of his mate's side of the bond.

Bliss
Tumblr media
Summary - You and Tamlin were in desperate need of a break with Amarantha looming in your lives.
Warnings - Amarantha, foreshadowing/alluding to a character's death, water
A/n - I have so many headcannons/ideas for Tamlin with a mate pre-Amarantha, and none of them end well for OC/Reader. This was originally written to be a Vanserra oc, but I liked it more from a reader mindset. I am hoping I caught everything name wise and pronoun wise, but if I didn't, my apologies 💜
Tumblr media
"Tamlin, no!" You screamed as the High Lord picked you up. He was walking towards the ocean boarding Spring, a wide grin on his face as Lucien and Andras pointed and laughed. "Tam! Please! You just bought me this dress!"
He laughed lightly,  blonde hair swaying lightly in the wind with every step, "But y/n, you said you wished to go swimming!"
He repositioned you so he was carrying you in his arms, smiling broadly down at your facs as you glared up  into his green eyes. "Plus you said and I quote, "I detest this dress, Tamlin." So what is the harm in taking a little swim in it?"
You couldn't help the soft giggle from leaving your throat, wrapping your arm around his neck and using the other to steady yourself on his chest. He had you there. The dress you were in was a pink monstrosity of tulle and layers. He had hoped it would finally win you over and convince you to switch out the deep jewel tones of Autumn for the light pastels of the court you would soon be Lady of.
You only wore it to see him smile the way he was right now. Smiling like Amarantha was not some looming darkness you all had been dealing with. Smiling like she had not just threatened to murder you when she learned of the bond. Smiling like this single moment of bliss was all he needed, as if it was bringing him back to life, to himself.
You sighed contently in his arms and snuggled into his bare chest. Feeling that first splash of cool water licking your ankles. "Stop looking at me like that." His face was flushed, a soft pink glow tinting his cheekbones and nose
You smiled softly, "Like what?"
He was into his thighs, water beginning to lap at the pink tulle netting and kissing your lower legs. "Like you think I've planted every flower for you. Like you love more than anything this realm could offer."
And Gods did you. You loved Tamlin long before the bond snapped, and you would love him to your grave if it came down to it. You  gasped as cold water hit your lower back and butt, making you squirm lightly.  "Tam, I didn't bring extra clothing!"
"I specifically said, Y/n, bring extra clothing. We're going to the beach for a family day," you not bringing extra clothing is on you, sunflower."
You hardly had time to scream out, "Tamlin, no," as he tossed you out of his arms and into the surf. Cold water kissed your skin as you allowed yourself to sink a little further into the salty depths of the Spring Court Coastline. You felt a hand find yours, lacing your fingers together before pulling you up.
You broke the surf gasping. Instantly throwing your arms around Tamlin's next and soaking his bare chest. You could feel it vibrating with each joyful laugh leaving his body. You couldn't stop yourself, acting impulsively on a childish need and splashing him in the side of the face with water.
Tamlin's jaw dropped as he spit out the salty liquid, his smile became feral, a playful glint appearing in his eyes. "Well, sunflower,  you've done it now." Tamlin picked you back up, attempting to toss you again, but you clung to him. Ripping him into the water with you, arms around his neck and he secured his around your waist. He pulled you two back up, laughing loudly again. His arms stayed around you, lifting you slightly above him as one of your hands came to touch his cheek. "You love me," He teased quietly.
"Mhm," you nodded back. "I love you more than anything the realm could offer." He shook his head, moving the wet hair from your face.
"Will my bride honor me with a kiss?" You surrendered to his need immediately, lips finding his and sighing. The taste of the sea lingered on both of you as he kissed you back with equal passion. He pulled away and leaned your foreheads together. "Let's get you back to shore, my flower. I brought extra clothing for you." He used his hands to lift your dress enough to hold your legs around his waist. "Maybe we should move up the wedding," his voice was soft in your ear. "Have it before the High Lord's ball she's throwing?"
The sentence leaving your lips next would doom you, you knew deep down it would, but you wanted this. You needed this. You wanted this blissful moment knowing you would die at her hands no matter what you decided. "Maybe it should be tomorrow."
Tamlin's eyes lit up, "Tomorrow," he agreed.

Prone to Infatuation
day 1: human tamlin
modern!au
Summary: Feyre won't mind
•○●⛦●○•
A/n: happy @tamlinweek to all my fellow girlies who love tamtam!!! heres my lil fic for the first day of the week ❣️
enjoyy!!
Tumblr media
Coming over to visit her friend's ex had probably not been a great idea. It had been, obviously, a hard decision to make.
But did she regret it?
Absolutely not.
He had been her friend too once, and he did not deserve to be thrown aside after the messy break up.
Sure, what he did was not the best thing to do, but it came from a place of good reasoning. He should not have locked Feyre up in their shared apartment, but Y/n could not find it in herself to blame his actions when she knew of his past.
He had never had parents that loved each other, and so the only way he saw his father caring for his mother was when he would lock her up in the house. Tamlin was young, and did not understand that it was not love that he witnessed, but being a psychology student, Y/n could understand what he went through.
He could have definitely handled it better, but if someone just sat him down to tell him where he went wrong, he could have become better.
She was not erasing his mistakes or saying that he did not make them, but she understood his reasns behind them. He had made mistakes, sure, but so had Feyre when instead of just talking to him, she just up and left and moved on while Tamlin was left with no one.
So today, Y/n had decided to pay him a visit after hearing from Lucien that he seemed to be getting better.
With a deep breath, Y/n lifted her hand to knock on the door to his apartment. A few moments filled with the sounds of shuffling and one loud crash later, his form filled the doorway.
He looked... unkempt. His hair sticking all out in all the wrong places, dark circles under his eyes... He just looked so miserable.
"Um, hi."
He blinked at Y/n, seeming not to hear her words. But then he straightened, the shock fading from his eyes as he gave her an uncertain smile.
"Hey Y/n. What brings you here?"
"What, I can't visit my friends without reason?"
He blinked, leaning back. "Uhh. You can of course. I'm sorry-"
Instantly, guilt spread through Y/n. She reached out to touch the back of his hand, staring up at him. "Tam, I was joking."
"Oh. Right, sorry-"
With a sigh, Y/n wrapped her arms around his torso- shirtless torso-letting her head rest on his chest for a moment until he hugged her back.
He let her go after a moment, the sadness, the loneliness that shone on his face making Y/n want to commit atrocities.
As he led her in, she studied her surroundings, swallowing.
The place was meticulously clean looking, except for a few pieces of clothing here and there.
The house looked nothing like it had the last time she visited with Mor. That was back when Feyre had called them up to break her out of the house.
Everything had been lying on the ground back then, as if thrown around in a fit of rage. Y/n had been disgusted, but now all she felt was sympathy.
"So... how have you been."
Tamlin glanced back at her as he snatched his t-shirt form the back of the couch. "Better."
Y/n smiled, nodding.
"That's great."
He studied her for a moment, his eyes skeptical. But then he settled down on one of the chairs at the kitchen island, sighing. "It really is. You were right. Therapy does help."
That statement surprised Y/n. She could not remember talking to him about therapy except for that one time she had mentioned about it in passing, telling him something about her chosen subject of study.
"You are going to therapy?"
He offered her a small smile. "Yes. And it's been helping a lot."
Y/n placed her bag on the counter as she mirrored his position and smiled, genuine and happy. "I'm so glad to hear that, Tam. How is it going?"
"The therapist reminds me a lot of my mother, with the way she looks, the way she yells at me sometimes," He laughed. "I'm becoming better, that much I know. I've come to terms with the fact that not everyone stays forever, and that it is okay to let go of people. It took me over two months to get over my fear of losing people, but its working."
Her eyes prickled at the genuine joy he radiated, the way he seemed more open and vulnerable and happy about it too.
"That's amazing. You atleast have your friends, even though she left. You'll always have us."
He paused for a moment. "Does she know you're visiting?"
Y/n sighed. "She is not my mother, she does not need to know about my whereabouts."
"So she doesn't."
Her silence was answer enough for him.
"You should lave then. I don't want you to jeopardise your friendship just because you came to see her abusive ex."
Tears gathered in Y/n's eyes at his thoughtfulness.
"She won't mind."
I hope she doesn't.
If she got mad about Y/n just visiting Tamlin, Y/n couldn't fathom what Feyre would do if she found out about Y/n's little crush on Tamlin.
"Are you hungry?"
Tumblr media
A few hours, a bottle of wine and two large pizzas later, Y/n found herself spread on Tamlin's couch like a blanket as she giggled at something a drunk Tamlin mumbled from where he sat on the ground, leaning back against the couch next to her head.
Silence settled between them again, the awkwardness from a few hours ago nowhere in sight.
"I should get going."
Tamlin glanced at the clock on the opposite wall at that, nodding solemnly. "It's getting late."
Y/n rolled over, reaching up to twirl a strand of his hair around her fingers. "I don't want to though."
He turned his head to look at her, his face flushed from the wine. "Stay then."
Y/n smirked. "Already trying to get me into your bed huh. At least take me out on a date first."
He laughed, head thrown back. "Would this not be considered a date?" He said, gesturing to the half empty eaten pizza on the low coffee table.
"No."
He grinned, leaning his head closer to hers. "Fine then. Are you free tomorrow? Let me take you out on this date you want."
Suddenly, Y/n felt much more sober. "What?"
He huffed. "You basically have I like Tamlin written on your forehead in red paint, love. You can't expect me to not notice."
Y/n shot up, wrapping her arms around herself to do what, she didn't know. "I- I'm sorry-"
"Don't be. We're humans. We tend to fall in love and are prone to infatuation."
Y/n gave him an unamused look as she stood, gathering her things and heading towards the door.
She could hear him following her, but she ignored the urge to just die and reached for her coat hanging next to the door.
Tried to.
His hand caught hers before she could grab the material, tugging her back into his hard chest.
"I am not kidding Y/n. I mean it. Let me take you out for dinner. And not just because I want you in my bed."
She turned her head to look at him, failing to hide her blush due to his proximity.
"What..."
He gave her a dazzling smile. "Let me take you out on a date. Let me court you, the way you read about in your books."
"Really?"
He nodded. "Really."
"Okay..."
"So I'll pick you up at seven?"

day 5: masquerade
Summary: First time visiting a masquerade ball.
•○●⛦●○•
A/n: just some lil fluff for @tamlinweek hehe
enjoyy!!
Tumblr media
"Are you enjoying the ball, lady?"
Y/n jumped, turning to find a handsome young man- she assumed he was handsome, considering half his face was covered by a mask- leaning against the wall.
"Um, yes, my lord. How about yourself, are you enjoying it?"
He grinned. "You could say that."
Y/n stared at him.
He stared back.
Y/n blinked.
He blinked back.
Y/n's mother had not warned her about how awkward small talk could get. She cursed inwardly, wondering what to say to break the silence when he spoke again.
"Is it your first time attending a party?"
Y/n sighed quietly, nodding as she felt her lashes brush against the mask she wore, a dark green satin with embroidered flowers and vines, pearls of different sizes woven into the soft material resting snugly on her features.
"Yes. my lord. Is it your first too?"
He pushed off from the wall. "Not really, no. Officially? Yes, its the fist time I'm attending a party."
"And how is that?"
"You see, no one really cares to see if the youngest son sleeps as instructed when an event takes place."
Y/n blinked, and then the realisation dawned upon her. "You- you're the high lord's youngest son!"
"Oh hush, be quiet. I had to shake off so many people and sneak around to get one breath of relief. You screaming will lure them back."
Y/n stared at him, her eyes wide.
She was talking to a possible heir of the spring court.
Oh mother, boil me.
Y/n could do nothing but watch as he glanced around, fixing his coat and then sighed. "So. This brings us back to the question I had in mind. Do you want to leave?"
Y/n did a double take, gaping. "I- leave?"
He flashed her a dashing smile. "Leave."
"I- I don't think that's a good idea my lord-"
"Don't worry, I wont bite." He winked. "Unless you want me to."
The faelight glinted off his slightly sharp canine, and a shiver wound its way down Y/n's spine. "I..."
"Its nowhere far, despite what I wish. We'll just go into the gardens and talk. Better than laughing at the everyone's unfunny jokes, don't you think? And you don't have to reveal your identity either! Keep your mask on, and I will never know if you don't want me to."
Y/n nodded hesitantly, worrying her lower lip as she glanced around.
Just before she was about to turn back to the High lord's son, her eyes met her mothers, and instead of reprimand in her eyes, all she saw was stern encouragement as she nodded her head towards the door.
Swallowing, Y/n gestured at the male- what was his name again? Terrance? Thomas?- to lead the way.
"So, you are..." He glanced at her hopefully as he walked next to her through the empty hallways, and she stared back indifferently.
"Rose."
He grinned, mischief in his eyes. "That's not your real name, is it?"
Y/n simply hummed, looking away from him to take in the massive hallways, filled with unnecessary expensive items.
He laughed. "Stubborn. I like it."
Y/n resisted the urge to roll her eyes, following him into the open air or the sweet smelling gardens.
The night passed quick as Y/n lost herself to the fragrance of roses and jasmine, and maybe also in the sound of his voice as it resonated deep in Y/n's being.
And maybe Y/n was mistaken, maybe she was delusional, but she could have sworn she saw him staring at her lips more than a couple of times.
She was just delusional.
Or was she?
The Mother was definitely laughing, knowing that son enough Y/n would be arranged to be married to him.
