Enchanting items to become Amulets.

Enchantments & simple folk spells are some of my favourite types of magick. I recently got these two lovely items & they are perfect to become amulets. Here you see a beautiful key charm from witchcasket that is a symbol of Hekate, my goddess. Keys are great for unlocking & unblocking energies. Helping to remove obstacles & transform a situation. They also can be symbols of protection because when combine with locks they can lock things up for safety. The other item you see was a newly purchased coffin nail necklace with a Smokey quartz crystal embedded into it. Coffin nails are symbols of protection from evil spirits, hauntings & from vampiric energies. And Smokey quartz is excellent at absorbing negative energy directed at you and neutralising it, so you can use the Energy elsewhere in your magical practice. 

I spent time enchanting both of these items for magical use. I first selected the herbal spirits I wished to work with, which were wormwood, birch leaves & black mallow. All of these herbs are highly protective, able to stop all forms of evil including spirit possession. They are used for protection, exorcism, banishment, purification, repelling evil forces & stopping baneful magick. I then chose to cast on a Tuesday to tap into the strong war like qualities of Mars & I cast during the hour of Saturn to tap into the protective qualities of my favourite planet. Saturn is excellent for protection, death & rebirth. I then cast my enchantment at Hekate’s alter on the plaque of Saturn. I let the amulets rest there over night once I was finished chanting & charging. I will further bless these two items on the dark moon to empower them.

Starting to really nail my rustic style stainless steel prong claw settings now. They're tight! None of that loosy goosy business. It's taken me a while to figure the stainless steel wire soldering thing out and I'm really happy with how it bends and forms neatly and strong even after some serious flame action. The recycled sterling silver I usually like to use just anneals even more under the torch that no amount of tumbling will cure it seems. Moving away from sterling silver for some of my work has so many practical benefits especially when you consider today's metal prices. I'm always trying something new and mistakes in an experimental phase can be so hard on your pocket.
