like. on the one hand. i get when my supervisors are like "be sure to be personable with your students in a way that still maintains the fact that u are the authority figure bc, since ur all young, it will be easier for them to not see u as a professional" but also. it is very funny when one of my students comes into the TA office, tells me that my undecorated desk is lame compared to the other desks, and then within 30 minutes is like "idk if ur the type of neurodivergent who [proceeds to say something that i absolutely do]" like. they clocked me! they got me there!

#also my hot take is that like. i am a 24 year old grad student teaching college freshmen. #i know where my strengths and weaknesses are and frankly i feel confident in maintaining my own professionalism #all while not forcing myself to act way older than i am #like my students still (relatively) listen to me #and none have tried. u know. being rude with me #(which i am thaknful for bc i have been hearing some horror stories from the other TAs) #so yeah it's funny when one of my best students is like ''hey jordyn ur desk is really lame compared to everyone else's'' #like frankly i'll worry abt being professor [x] when i have a master's #and dr [x] when i have a doctorate

in 2021 I wondered "what if each MC had their own style? or... EARRINGS...?" and at the end of 2022 I spiraled. hope you enjoy.

(I just need everyone to notice each MC has a corresponding number of beauty marks and piercings. no, multiple piercings in one section do not count shhhhh. some MCs share small similarities, can you spot them all? the little details of this brought me great joy!)

MC 1's style is playful, colourful and everything fun. MC 2's style is cool, coordinated and a little edgy. MC 3 wears barely any clothing because I gave up 🖤 and I imagine Toji coerces him into ever having any semblance of modesty 🖤 MC 4's style is soft, comfy and pastels. and MC 5, I imagine, is a bit of goth, a bit of academia, and very put together.

ps. if you made it this far, here are the MC 3 "rejects". I like him the most with no lip piercings, but I think he definitely needs them. can you believe I redrew his face 4 times and yet never gave him clothes.

pps. every MC is named "Nii Juu San (23)" in my head, EXCEPT him. HIS name is Boobina 🖤

#in reality i know a lot of people will not be flying here but i thinks it’s irresponsible to make it seem so easy for people that are #already struggling. it’s far from it #like 1. you’re expecting someone to pay for a plane ticket here which is like $1500+ on average #*forgot about the return flight too so in total $3000+ #2. then there’s the cost of the abortion on top of that (and if it’s surgical the hospital costs) #because it most likely would not be covered under medicare #3. you guys have no clue what the abortion laws are in your state because you can’t just rock up to a hospital and be like i need an abortio #you HAVE to be between 22-24 weeks and get two drs to approve in most states #not even mentioning tas bc good luck getting one at all over 16 weeks unless your dying and wa is the same (i think they’re 20 weeks tho) #🧌
