One day I’ll sit down and give an extensive talk on my experience with synesthesia, but for now I’ll just say that for me, music has always been tied to my art. Inextricably. When I put on music as I paint it’s not just background noise, it’s actively informing the piece. This is an example of me taking that to the logical extreme, this entire piece was made and crafted by the music I heard as I painted it. Using Beatles (and solo career) songs from across their lifespan, the finished piece becomes a visual symphony of shared history between Paul McCartney and John Lennon. Everything shared, and everything left unsaid.
I don't post art here very often, because I don't often have art I think is good enough to share beyond friends, but this gif for @hug-monster of his lovely voice is probably one of my favourite things I've drawn so far.
I don’t normally post non-tickle related content but I got a special request from @littleesister to make a post explaining Synesthesia and how I experience it and I happen to have a slide show I made for my other social media and I’m more than happy to copy & paste it here for anyone who is interested in the topic!🥰🌈💕
Here’s the link to a post I’ve already made here showing what my tummy looks like according to my neurospicy brain🙈💕 https://www.tumblr.com/kikibumblesqueaks/731930803949502464/sorta-unique-tummy-reveal-i-have

turns out if i actually use the tools available to me i can accurately capture my synesthesia
this is just sort of an amalgamation of what comes up to listening to VV's latest album, Neon Noir. its not always this fitting, but it's very pleasing when it is! glad i finally had the motivation for this
reblogs appreciated, im real proud of this one <3
Image description under the cut
A digital abstract painting, with lots of geometric patterns and light. The top right corner is pink, with triangles of all different shades like glass shards reflecting light. A dark blue glittery triangle is situated on the left side, covering the top corner. An arc of black with cool-colored iridescent petal shapes falling through it covers the rest of the image. Overlaid on that, sharp red and orange peaks across the bottom, with lines radiading out like a sunset. Red, green, purple, and neon pink lines of paint form triangles up the left side. A light blue mist seems to swirl across the image.
I have been a bit obsessed with Pierce the Veil recently, and I so I just had to paint one of my favorite songs by them, Today I Saw the Whole World. Some colors are rare for my synesthesia to kick out, particularly for voices. The rarest color voices I hear are white and gold, and Vic Fuentes is one of those rare white color voices. His vocals dominate the song and the band weaves the instruments through it like ribbons. Strong emotion can change the edges of the colors, and his delivery of the bridge whips the gold out especially at the bottom and sides.
Hi fellow Shawols, I now have all 4 Shinee member's solo inspired synesthesia pieces available for sale as prints or other small merch like stickers or cases on my Redbubble! I hope this coming month I finally get to do a piece for all 5 members with Minho's debut coming out, as well as a piece inspired by my favorite Shinee song!!
Can you guess which solo member each piece is inspired by? ;)
Painting how I see music has been one of my favourite projects lately. It's an excellent creative challenge to translate what I see in my head into my style of art! The green swoops around the outside definitely turned out more leaf-y than I had intended (I was aiming for firework-y), but I'm still very happy with it overall!
It's Wintertime Baby! The Holiday Season is upon us, and I'm doing a 50% off sale on my synesthesia animation commissions all through December and January!
