Oooo Friday and November for the question thing
Friday: the most self indulgent fic you've ever posted - I'm going to assume this is specifically out of what I have written myself. I'm torn between two fics and they're total opposites. The first is No One But Me (also by proxy Aphrodite as its companion) because in truth it really is just me in the fic. I have a lot of self image and intimacy issues that I beat myself up over and so the plot and dialogue in it is just me self comforting I suppose. It's how I would want someone to treat me as a bigger woman with mental health issues. The other fic is the one about crocs lmaoooo cuz I love mine so much.
November: any rituals or requirements for getting in the mood to write - technically I do but I'm not absolutely bound to them. I prefer to set myself up in bed with all my pillows and have my tablet that I write on in my lap. If I'm writing a one shot I might play a specific song on repeat if I have one in mind that fits the fic (otherwise I'll play random playlists). For my multichap fics I will have a playlist that I create for it to help me with tone and headspace. So like my SWTE was mostly 60s/70s music, my TIOD is classical covers of modern songs and some Tchaikovsky (think bridgerton). I will say tho if I'm out and about and suddenly get an idea I'm liable to just whip out my Google docs app on my phone and jot down stuff.
