Green Lantern au!

I'm working off the hc that Milagro gets a green lantern ring after the events of the original comics. I just switched them! Milagro gets Khaji Da and Jaime gets hit with a ring after she comes back. Jaime has to deal with his sister going missing, returning a year later with an alien scarab and as a consequence his family falling into danger. His own shortcomings and fear for his family coming to ahead when black beetle tries to kill them (Blue beetle 2006 again) and he has to step up to protect everyone and trust that his sister is alright.

It's still a bit vague on the story line, I just wanted to draw him in a GL suit lmao.

Sorry these are mostly Chibi sketches, I've been busy with assignments and commissions and can't find the time to draw them properly.

i wanted to make an alternate more canon-compliant butterfly Howdy... similar but Different! the wings were a pain in my ass!

#tried to keep the basic vibes of the og look #incorporate the eyespots and all that #i just wanted to do this since the og look bothers me! #it was made for an au and so i leaned more towards a realistic butterfly look #this was a fun challenge! #i lied i hated it. coloring this made me want to toss my tablet in the trash #getting the wings to mesh.... Ugh.... #scribble salad #yassified howdy <3 #so much fluff to contain!!! #i imagine that he got sally to tailor his shirts and stuff so his fluff could Fit #i think his apron would be blue now??? #basically it and his blue striped shirt switch colors! #since he's already Very blue / cool colored #in my mind the spiral part of his wings is a little 3d and slightly Plush! #he's got some Texture to 'em! #as you all can see im a fan of gradients and Dots

#im so worried about like... irritating them / ripping them out in my sleep #what if they get caught on one of my many blankets or pillows hm... #last night was the first night with 'em and i already had a stress dream #which unfortunately was one of those double deckers where The Demons™️ try to get me #but geez. #i arranged my bedding in such a way that im kinda sitting up and my head is stabilized enough so that i dont turn onto my side #or put pressure on my ~lobes~ #thus begins a long couple of months of Healing #cant wait to take these babeys out and switch things up #not that i dont like the ones i have for the healing process!! im very happy with them!!! #but Ough. monkey brain impatient.... #absolutely unprompted #i got a uhhh Saline Spray to clean em #and im so worried im gonna run out way prematurely #my depth perception and spatial awareness is a little... Off... #so it takes 2-3 attempts to actually Spray The Piercing #i end up wiping water off of my face and neck lmfao. my hair is Dripping every time #its just a general air of Paranoia #the last time i pierced my ears was years ago and i got a nasty ass infection that put me off of it until. like. a day ago #i was convinced this time bc it was done professionally with a needle and everything #INFINITELY better. lots of fun. i feel somewhat confident that it'll heal correctly #even if my bank account wont.
