What edition of aeita are you getting? I loved the fairyloot edition but I read those are hard to get.

I bought the books a couple of months ago (I read them on my phone first) and the lady at the store got me a signed copy of a sky beyond the storm and I almost died lol.

Also are we still crying over Avitas?

ALWAYS CRYING OVER AVITAS!!! ALWAYS!!! I swear I sobbed more times in this series than maybe any other I've ever read. I'm so mad at Sabaa Tahir and yet I love her? Complicated lol.

And sadly the editions I ordered aren't fancy. I wanted the FairyLoot ones as well, desperately. They're STUNNING. Seriously, it's like my dream in life to own them lol. They were only like $100 when they released, but they sold out before I could order them. Now people are reselling them for around $500. It upsets me so much. Don't buy something like that if you're not a reader or collector. I hate that people just bought those sets to mark them up x5 and resell them. Now I can never have them :( I know this is something that happens with all rare or limited edition items, not just books. But it pisses me off haha.

Anyway, I just ordered the UK editions of the series. Because I ALSO have a signed copy of A Sky Beyond the Storm, and my signed copy is the UK edition. But my copies of the first three books were all the American editions, and so they don't match! And it's been driving me crazy. Sadly I will still have three softcovers and one hardcover lol, but at least since I ordered these UK ones they will all have the same design concept, font, etc.

Ahh I've really been enjoying reading these. I'm only about 1/3 of the way through book two but I'm loving it so far!

Hard to pick favorite moments because it's all been so good. But I really love when Elias sees Laia for the first time, and when they dance at the Moon Festival, and also when the Augurs put her in his room after the third trail and they spend the night together 🥺 Obviously I ship it hard lmao. But also I think Sabaa Tahir is really great at writing action so I loved the third trail scene when Elias and Helene had to fight each other/their own men during the storm. It was so intense and sad it had me in tears! And I also like the scene when Helene sings to heal Laia after Marcus beat her.

As for Laia and Helene, they're both such interesting characters but I like Laia more. She isn't the typical Chosen One trope YA heroine and I like that she has moments of weakness and fallibility but still a revolutionary spirit :) As for Helene she is definitely intriguing and I love her dynamic with Elias but I prefer Laia. Granted I'm not caught up with the series but Helene's loyalty to the Empire rubs me a bit the wrong way 😬 Regardless I still really like her and love the books overall so far!!

Hi, guys! So last month I reached 12k followers on this blog, a milestone I genuinely never thought I’d see. After all my fandom hopping and periods of inactivity, I really do feel blessed and grateful to have made so many friends and retained some long-time mutuals and followers. I don’t deserve you guys.
