On “Surfidia”, The Tourmaliners blend the raw instrumental guitar sounds of Dick Dale, Link Wray, and The Ventures mixed with tiki vibrations and spy gyrations… all while watching a cool Spaghetti Western from outer space. Surfidia also features guest musicians Ron Blair of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Eddie Angel of Los Straitjackets and Bob Spalding of the Ventures. The album is a co-release between Sharawaji Records & Pacific Records. Produced by Miles Clowminzer (Johnny Tarr Quartet, Billy Nation), was recorded over a nine-month period in 2021-22 in San Diego, CA. The principal songwriters and arrangers are The Tourmaliner’s guitarist Deven Berryhill, bass player & guitarist Matt Clowminzer and Miles Clowminzer. The Tourmaliners drummer John MacElwee, guitarist Joe Dameron and keyboardist Ina Soliz perform their respective parts to round out the album. Miles also contributes various guitar, drum, keyboard and sound design elements throughout. The album cover is taken from a painting by punk rock artist and surfer Brian Bent. During the recording, the band would often derive inspiration from Brian’s painting to help create the album’s sonic landscape. Romina & Georg’s Badass Austrian Wedding

WEDDING COUPLE: Romina & Georg

WEDDING DATE: 7.10.2017

WEDDING LOCATION: Villach & Ossiach, Austria.

HOW AND WHERE DID YOU MEET: We now live in Vienna but we met in our hometown Villach in 2003 when I was 15 years old and my hubby was 18 years old.

WEDDING THEME: Dress code for guests: all black everything.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WEDDING DAY:

After 14 years of relationship we married on the 7th of October 2017 at Villach and celebrated at the Ossiachersee (Lake) in Carinthia, Austria.

We decided only to invite our friends (without plus ones) and our closest family.

The ceremony itself was short and simple and we had no big plans for the day but to party hard – what we did!

We danced until sunrise to surfrock (band) and techno (DJ) and nearly had to drag our friend out to go home but after 24 hours of wedding celebration we really needed to go to sleep… 🙂

The day was really perfect, and we got a lot of praise afterwards, for our event. We were really happy that everybody loved our special day as much as we did.

The next day we flew off to our honeymoon. We had 10 perfect, and also really warm days at New York City! It felt like an extended summer.

In Sept 2018, we are now flying to Sardinia, Italy to spend our second honey moon, with the rest of the money we got as presents from our wedding guests.

We had no real wedding theme, but asked our friends and family to wear black. Our decoration and accessories were held in Bordeaux, as well as the outfit of my maid of honour (my lovely baby sister) and the outfit of my hubby’s best man (his early childhood friend and best friend until today).

Our wedding day was perfect. The weather was perfect. Normally in October, it is chilly but it was really warm and we were able to stay outside until the evening without any jacket.
