Peach sees Mario as a beacon of fire.

A warm hearth that keeps her warm on even the coldest of days. Controlled, calm, gentle. Quiet strength, because that same flame can traverse worlds for her. No hesitation, no conditions. Just coziness. Just warm glows. Just smoldering cackles.

Peach sees Bowser as uncontrolled, unpredictable, uncouth. Fire that, at best, makes you uncomfortable and dehydrated. Overbearing, loud cracks with cinders that spark out and hurt.

Maybe unwitting, but why would you risk getting marked with ashes again. Why would she trust to sit so close to such harsh flames?

Which is why the calmer embers coax her.

Mario can handle Bowser, keep him grounded. Mario can be soft, comfort Peach.

Peach herself is the wind that lets her parasol glide. She's a big reason on why neither fire will be snuffed out.

And air keeps fire alive. ♡♡♡
