ਸਗਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਮਹਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨੁ ॥

Among all persons, the supreme person is the one

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਮਿਟੈ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ॥

who gives up his egotistical pride in the Company of the Holy.

ਆਪਸ ਕਉ ਜੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਨੀਚਾ ॥

One who sees himself as lowly,

ਸੋਊ ਗਨੀਐ ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ॥

shall be accounted as the highest of all.

ਜਾ ਕਾ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਸਗਲ ਕੀ ਰੀਨਾ ॥

One whose mind is the dust of all,

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਤਿਨਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਚੀਨਾ ॥

recognizes the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, in each and every heart.

ਮਨ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਤੇ ਬੁਰਾ ਮਿਟਾਨਾ ॥

One who eradicates cruelty from within his own mind,

ਪੇਖੈ ਸਗਲ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਾਜਨਾ ॥

looks upon all the world as his friend.

ਸੂਖ ਦੂਖ ਜਨ ਸਮ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੇਤਾ ॥

One who looks upon pleasure and pain as one and the same,

ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਪ ਪੁੰਨ ਨਹੀ ਲੇਪਾ ॥੬॥

O Nanak, is not affected by sin or virtue. ||6||

“O’ my mind, by whose grace you listen musical tunes with your ears, by whose grace your eyes see wonders of the world, by whose grace you utter sweet (words) with your tongue, by whose grace you abide in peace and poise, by whose grace your hands and feet work, by whose grace you completely flourish, by whose grace you obtain the supreme state, by whose grace you easily merge in peace, why forsake such a God and attach to another ? (Guru) Nanak says, O’ man, seeking Guru’s help, awaken your mind (to God’s bounties).” ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ), ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਅਚਰਜ ਨਜ਼ਾਰੇ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ; ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਭਾਵਕ ਹੀ ਸੁਖੀ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ; ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ (ਆਦਿਕ ਸਾਰੇ ਅੰਗ) ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਾਰ-ਵਿਹਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ; ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਸੁਖ ਤੇ ਬੇ-ਫ਼ਿਕਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੈਂ; ਅਜੇਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਸਾਰ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸ ਪਾਸੇ ਲੱਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ? ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੁਸ਼ੀਆਰ ਹੋਹੁ ॥੬॥ #SukhmaniSahib #Gurbani https://www.instagram.com/p/BudB6VEhW_U/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=uwzwkt7os19m
