Winter Skincare Must-haves for Combination skin.

I never had issues with my skin until senior year of high school. The past few years I have been trying all different cleansing products and then I found Neutrogena. Which it's acne scrub helped my forehead acne a lot, it was not really bad but I noticed it and needed to get rid of it. Then this past Summer i switched just to their cleanser. I would wash my face twice a day, once in morning and at night, it was great with the oiliness you get in the Summer. But then Fall came around, and living in the city, the water is extremely filtered and has a lot of chlorine which became really drying to my skin. I would have flakiness around my mouth and my skin felt tight, and dry.

Luckily enough I made friends with a skin care aficionado Chris who helped me a lot choosing out what would give my face a healthy clean.

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser: Massage your face twice a day with this all over your neck and face and focus on the spots that you're extra oily in, use a hot washcloth to get a good clean inside your pores. Target $11.99

Cerave Hydrating Lotion: Apply this every night before you go to bed, after you thoroughly cleanse your face with CeraVe cleanser. Target $11.99

Olay All Day Moisturizer w/ SPF 15: I wear this every morning after I wash my face I wear this as my day moisturizer because it protects my skin from the sun which helps me because I'm prone to dark spots and uneven skin tone. Target $8.49

Olay Regenerist Night Time Renewal Elixir: You're probably thinking why the heck is this 19 year old wearing Olay Regenerist? Well the reasoning is, scrubs are not the key to exfoliating your face; glycolic acid is. If you're older this is meant to be used as a night-time moisturizer but considering I'm younger and acid can be harsh I only use this 3 times a week. This product is meant to be used alone after a night-time cleanse. HINT: Must use Olay All Day Moisturizer the morning after doing this. Amazon $16.99

Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10: The holy grail to on-the-spot pimple treatment. Whenever I feel a pimple coming on or one that has already showed up i blob a little on the pimple when i go to bed. During the day you can rub it right into your skin, up to 3 times a day.
