Art school Dropout
As someone who wants to drop out of art school and is getting a lot of push back from their parents about it. I wanna know what people think. I see myself as just a creator I just to create things. I get great ideas and love executing them. I wanna create my own bespoke furniture line of very much sculptural art that can be used as furniture by people. I honestly have big plans and goals for myself and I currently don’t feel like art school is the way for me to get there at this very moment. I have gut feeling that it isn’t the best possible way for me to accomplish. I am currently at Parsons school of design as a fine art major and I honestly just think the whole thing is stupid. in the past, school was definitely a place to gain access to knowledge that not all people where able to have. Information was a lot more gated. In this age of the internet that just isn’t the case anymore. I’ve been “studying” art in school for 5 years now (about to finish my first year at parsons the other 4 were at school). But everything I’ve learnt about creating has been through creating.
I understand school can give you access to facilities but with the money spent on school you could buy all your own equipment and keep it FOR LIFE and not just 3/4 years. I honestly think if people invested the money they spend on school on just themselves and strategically mapped out what would be best for them personally people would be a lot happier and better off. Anyways. I do worry that sometimes im being delusional in thinking I can sell my crochet and get an paid Apprenticeship in furniture design. I wanna work along side from an actual designer and learn how to make the shit I wanna make gaddamn. I also really wanna go back to London as that’s where im originally from and studying abroad aint it. Its interesting to see how my parents are so hell bent on the idea that an “education” is everything when I believe there are better more effective ways to learn and grow as a person, than just getting a degree.

Lois Mailou Jones was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Her parents, a cosmetologist and a lawyer, encouraged her interest in art from childhood. While always a Bostonian at heart, she did do much of her growing up in Cape Cod at Martha's Vineyard where her parents bought a house. There, she would meet great influences on her life. Artist, Meta Warrick Fuller, Novelist Dorothy West, and Composer, Harry T Burleigh. And with such a pedigree as her influences, she could only be destined for great things.
She attended the High School of Practical Arts in Boston and took night classes at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts through a scholarship. Her first exhibition, was at just seventeen, in Martha's Vineyard. She was also apprenticed to costume designer Grace Ripley, and this sparkled her interest and influence by African masks.
She continued studying at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, studying design and winning a scholarship and also took night courses at MassArt, then called the Boston Normal Art School, while working toward her degree. She graduated and went on to get her graduate degree from the Design Art School of Boston. Then later, in 1928, the shift happened. She attended Howard University, and began to focus on painting.
A life longer learner, she never stopped going to school. She took classes and earned more degrees throughout her life.
She began teaching soon after finishing college (the first one), but the director of the Boston Museum School refused to hire her because she was a black woman. In 1928 she was hired by Charlotte Hawkins Brown to teach at the newly formed art department at Palmer Memorial Institute, a black prep school in North Carolina.
If it wasn't clear already that Lois was renaissance person, while teaching at the prep school, she also taught folk dance, coached basketball, and played piano during church services. But soon she was off to Washington DC. Recruited by James Vernon Herring to join the Art Department at Howard University. She would stay there as a professor of both design and watercolor until her retirement in 1977.
Through the 1930s she sough recognition. She began to exhibit her works with the William E Harmon Foundation. The first piece, a simple charcoal drawing of a young black man, entitled Negro Youth (1929). She spent time in Harlem as the Harlem Renaissance began. By this time she had been a designer, leaned into portraiture, and now began to meld the two disciplines. A unique style began to develop that was all her own.
In 1937, Lois received a fellowship to study in Paris, France at the Académie Julian. In that year abroad she produced 40 paintings, watercolor and en plein air. Two pieces were selected for exhibition at the Salon de Printemps at the Société des Artists Fraçais. Like many black artist that traveled abroad, Lois fell in love with France where she felt more free and more accepted. She would extend her time abroad and travel to Italy, but she did return the US following. She traveled often to France, staying with her colleague and friend, Céline Marie Tabary. They no doubt influenced each other's work, but Lois was also influenced by the culture around her, and it's visible in her work from the geometry of her shapes to her use of color.
In 1941, Lois would enter a painting into the Corcoran Gallery's anuual competition. At this time in history, black Americans were not allowed to submit their own art. So, she had a colleague at Howard University, Tabary submit it for her in order to get around the rule. For her piece, Indian Shops Gay Head, Massachusetts, she won the Robert Woods Bliss Award. Though, just as she could not submit her own work, she also could not pick up her own reward. But Tarbary would do this for her as well. These difficulties did not deter Lois. She only dug her heels in and kept working.
She worked alongside and within the Négritude movement. Her work the visual for the primarily literary movement. For example, her piece, Parisian Beggar Woman was completed with text from Langston Hughs.
Back in 1934, Lois met Lois Vergniaud Pierre-Noel while she was a student in Columbia University. A prominent Haitian artist, they corresponded for nearly twenty years before marrying in the South of France in 1953. From here, her frequent trips to Haiti would great influence her work. In 1954 the Haitian government invited her to paint the people and landscapes of Haiti, and she returned to the country often as well as to France. The works she produced between the mid 50's and mid 60's are among her most prominent and well know works. As time went on, she was still extremely prolific and her style only becoming more colorful and more seamless in it's blending of Post-Impressionist, African and textile-like design. In 1990, The Meridian International Center with the help of Lois, created an exhibition that toured the US for several years. While this was not her first exhibition or her first solo exhibition, this was the first that garnered national attention. While her skill was incredible, she did not paint what was in vogue for black artists. Despite this lack of appreciation, her work is in museums all over the world. From Haiti, to the White House. Lois would die in 1998 at her home in Washington DC at the age of 92. While history has done Lois a disservice, she was so prolific that's easy to see her work today. And it truly is incredible. All her influences filtered through her into something unique and challenging. If you'd like to see her work or learn more about her life: Loïs Mailou Jones: Creating A New African-American Image

HLAW: Day 2—Skills v. Passions/Chocolate
I hope everyone has been having a fantastic HLAW so far! I was out of town on vacation this past Juneteenth weekend and am definitely late to the party, but I wanted to share my idea of how Hana’s extensive skill set came to be! This post covers not only the skills we’re shown directly in canon but also the subjects she’d have been expected to be educated in as a noble lady. While it was originally intended to be a list of bullet points, I ended up adding more elaboration (and a little bit of the second theme there at the end lol).
Tagging @hanaleeappreciationweek and its awesome hosts @lizzybeth1986 and @sazanes!
~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~
In my version of Hana’s backstory, she was educated from ages of 5 to 10 primarily by her Taiwanese governess Tài Luó, named after the character Miss Anne Taylor from Emma. This included the basics such as reading, writing, and arithmetic, as well as some local history and folklore alongside the life sciences.
Under different tutors, Hana began additional lessons in French and Italian as well as the fine arts. This included painting and singing but began with the piano, when 3-year-old Hana first demonstrated her talent by repeating a section played by her mother, leading Lorelai to seek the best piano teacher money could buy.
Lin Changsong (parodied after the real pianist Yin Chengzong) agreed to instruct Hana after hearing her play, teaching her musical theory as well. He also encouraged her to take up another instrument after she demonstrated an aptitude for composition, and so she was also to a far lesser extent taught to play the violin.
After her tenth birthday, Hana’s governess was exchanged for an etiquette coach to prepare her for her first high societal appearance at the upcoming English Social Season. Named after the tutor from Barbie in the Princess and the Pauper, Lady Julianne de Montfort is the heiress to the extinct IRL duchy of Brittany.
Under her tutelage, Hana became fully fluent in French and thoroughly instructed in all of the social graces like conversation, decorum, and courtly manners. Lorelai also enrolled her in the Shanghai Dance School for additional lessons, where she learned ballet and classical Chinese dances from the instructor Shi Zhongyi.
Though having already been taught to sew by her grandmother Lee Bao, Hana was sent to the Shanghai Embroidery Institute, where she had to take supplementary knot tying lessons after finishing early. Bao encouraged her to take her skills further, first for dressmaking and later on for fashion design in general.
Hana’s academic studies were furthered as well by various instructors in world/cultural/ancient history, philosophies of multiple doctrines, classical literature (both Western and Chinese), advanced mathematics, and the physical/social sciences (including astronomy, chemistry, economics, political science, and sociology).
Her instruction in the equestrian arts took place while abroad in England for the Social Season, where she joined the riding club at Wimbledon Village Stables and learned dressage as well as the various riding styles. Hana was led by her parents to partake in other “noble” sporting activities like polo, ice skating, and archery.
She also learned some tai chi from Bao, who passed soon after her 15th birthday. This also ended Hana’s lessons with both Lady Julianne (which had evolved into fencing practice) and Lin Changsong, as they had both been financed by her grandmother after receiving the blame for her last public piano performance at age 12.
Hana was given a laptop to attend the online Balissande Finishing School, where her social education shifted to focusing on developing her skills as a hostess. This included courses on interior decorating and the history of art and furniture, which ignited her genuine interest in historical interior design.
One of the conditions to be a debutante for the Queen Charlotte's Ball (the finale of Hana’s official court debut) was entering a university program. While Lorelai and Xinghai did limit her options to areas of study they deemed would increase her appeal to noble suitors, Hana was still excited to choose the culinary arts.
She attended the Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland to earn her Swiss Grand Diploma in Pastry & Chocolate Arts, and her internship at Le Cordon Bleu Shanghai further refined her palate. Her graduation at the age of 18 marked the end of Hana’s formal training period, and thus began the search for an eligible husband.

[ sydney sweeney, cis woman, she/her ] — whoa! SKYLER CAMERON just stole my cab! not cool, but maybe they needed it more. they have lived in the city for ALL HER LIFE, working as a FASHION INTERN/ASPIRING FILM ACTRESS. that can’t be easy, especially at only 26 YEARS OLD. some people say they can be a little bit STUBBORN and RECKLESS, but I know them to be CAPTIVATING and DETERMINED. whatever. I guess I’ll catch the next cab. hope they like the ride back to MANHATTAN!
ABOUT SKYLER: Moonlight swelling through the trees.
CHARACTER BASICS
FULL NAME: Skyler Rhodes Cameron
NICKNAME(S): Sky
AGE: Twenty-Six
GENDER & PRONOUNS: Cis Woman, She/Her
FACE CLAIM: Sydney Sweeney
EYE COLOR: Blue
HAIR COLOR: Blonde
HEIGHT: 5′3″
DATE OF BIRTH: February 12th
ZODIAC SIGN: Aquarius
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Pansexual
LEVEL OF EDUCATION: Bachelor of Fine Arts
SCHOOLING: Cornell University
LANGUAGES SPOKEN: English, French, & Italian
HOGWARTS HOUSE: Hufflepuff
OCCUPATION: Intern to a local designer, Aspiring Actress
HOBBIES: Singing, Baking, Shopping, Yoga, Photography, Guitar, Drums, Acting
HOMETOWN: Manhattan, New York (Upper East Side)
CHARACTER HISTORY
Skyler was born and raised in the Upper East Side of New York with both her parents and sister. Her Mom, a well known face around the world for retiring from the modeling world to style them, met a man traveling the globe as a musician. Liam was nowhere near as successful as his wife, but somehow two opposites managed to maintain a marriage and start a very creative family.
The Cameron girls grew up surrounded by music and lavish parties, it wasn’t long until Skyler realized how much she loved to sing. Her sister and father would play instruments and she’d dance around the living room and sing for them, loving that this seemed to turn into a weekly tradition. She fell in love with being in the spotlight, though she quickly stuck to only singing in the shower once she saw how talented her sister was with music as a way to give each of them something to allow them to shine differently but together.
As a young girl Skyler would sneak into her mother’s closet when they had a gala or late night function the girl’s weren’t old enough to attend and spend hours staring at the shoes, perfecting the art of walking in heels by the age of 5. The sneaking continued as she’d venture into her mom’s workshop and “borrow” designs off her rack for parties, being sure to put the items back before morning. Skyler was always drawn to fashion, wearing it, creating it…you name it. She was happy to pick up another passion that’d look good on her college applications alongside acting, getting the chance to design costumes for her onstage performances didn’t hurt either. When she was finally able to go to all the events she’d study what everyone was wearing, learning what was popular and using it to start designing her own clothes in secret, not wanting her mother’s influence to smother her. She never thought she was any good, so for a while she stuck to drawing anything she could: fruit, people, nature. anything that didn’t involve clothes, but she always found herself coming back.
It wasn’t until she met (wanted muse connection) that he truly got her to start honing her craft and focusing on what mattered to her most. As Skyler entered university at Cornell, she saw herself debating between her desires, seeing as fashion would lead her directly under her mother’s shadow and that’s something she’s still striving to steer far away from. She’s always loved her mother’s designs but knew a developed career would involve Skyler working under her and not getting to experience the real world on her own. The spark for acting came back bigger and stronger than ever, resulting in the blonde signing up for every production Cornell had to offer.
Junior year she was offered an opportunity to study abroad in Paris, quickly jumping on that before finding herself romantically connected to a big designer. He went behind her back and stole her designs for himself, publishing them without her consent and leaving the credit she rightfully deserved unmarked. Skyler was devastated, not knowing how to handle the betrayal of someone she put all her love, trust and ideas in. She used this as her plea to fly back to New York to continue her degree.
She was offered an intern position with a local designer in the city shortly after she graduated and she’s been here ever since, doing her best to look toward her future rather than the past.
HEADCANONS
If there’s a party you’ll be sure to find her there, especially with a drink in hand.
She only fully trusts one person in her life: her sister.
She’s her sister’s opposite. being very outgoing, playful, and down to try anything once, charming people with a simple smile from across the room.
She’s always felt this bit of responsibility to make her mother proud and constantly feels that pressure which is one of the main reasons she’s questioning what to do with her career.
Where she goes, trouble tends to follow due to the blonde’s overwhelming sense of adventure and curiosity.
She landed her first acting role, a small commercial and wants to do more in this line of work. She’s also been featured a handful of times as an extra.
She’s the type that her family has money but she’s not one to show it off, never making extravagant purchases especially now living on her own.

Vent incoming below... not a sensitive topic, it's just me worrying about career choices. I'd like advice if you could give it to me. It's kind of long so don't worry if you don't read it all.
I just... I don't know what I want to study. If it were up to me I'd love to be a concept artist for an animation studio but they fact is, I'm just not good enough. I don't put in the work to practice. And I don't change that about myself.
Even if I felt like I was at a good enough skill level... the job opportunities in my country for animation are extremely slim. I'd have to move to the US to do it and I'm not sure I want to. I want to live next to my family. And I want to make a good wage at a good job that won't exploit me. And looking at the industry right now... well I'm not sure that's feasible.
Ok sure fine, whatever. I won't study animation. How about design? It's still a creative option and it's a lot more financially secure than animation. And that's my current choice really! And in design there's two options: industrial design and graphic design. Industrial design is basically making products (more 3D) and graphic design is more 2 dimensional.
And I would love to study graphic design. But AI really, really scares me. And my mom... well she said "when I was younger, people who studied graphic design were people who had nothing else to study." And I'm scared of getting a degree that won't amount to anything because of AI and I'm scared of choosing something "useless" in the eyes of my parents. They've done so much for me and invested so much into my education. I want them to be proud when they tell other people "my daughter is studying ____."
So fine. No graphic design, even though I love designing 2D things much more than I do 3D stuff. I don't even know if I like product design! I've done it like twice. I'm not very much of a hands on person. I don't know. But it's still design and I like design so maybe I'll like it?
So I've had that choice for a good while. I felt confident in my career choice. It's creative and it's (probably) feasible for job opportunities. I know the job market for design is so much more narrow than for, say, industrial engineering. But I don't really see myself as an engineer. (I also wanted to study ecology but in the schools I'm applying to it's focused on sustainable engineering more than biology. So it's not as interesting to me. And I'm not going to leave my country so I can study elsewhere.)
But yesterday, a friend of mine got accepted into culinary school. And I feel like culinary school is like art school in a way. It's a very niche job market. It's not a "safe" career choice. And I just thought to myself... how amazing it would be to study what you want to. Without caring about the size of the job market or your parents expectations and I feel so frustrated with myself. I don't want to end up with a degree I didn't like getting. I don't want to be like my parents in that way. But I also want to have financial security.
And I also have to pick what school to go to. I have two very good options, A and B (that's just the way it is in my city, and also I've ruled out studying abroad). And university A is from the same institution as my current high school and I already got accepted. It's the school my parent's graduated from and it's the MOST prestigious university in my country. And the campus is so pretty. But university A leans more towards engineering and science, not the humanities. And they implemented a new learning model where you have the same core curriculum as a couple of other careers in your area for the first couple of semesters. (Say, if I applied via creative careers I would be taking the same classes as both types of design, art, and music students). And THEN you can choose what you want to study. And I think it's really cool because then I could take art classes and I could learn if I really want to study industrial design. And I'd graduate from the same university as my parents so there's also the matter of pride. But no one likes this new learning model! So most of my friends are going to study at university B.
And university B is really good too (not as prestigious as A but it's still great). And the thing with it is that it focuses on the humanities more than engineering. So they have these amazing facilities with all types of tools for industrial design. But the thing is, for this school you have to pick your career from the start. You can't pick "design" and then choose what type of design you want later. You've got to pick "graphic design" or "industrial design" from the get go. And I don't know what to pick!! But a lot of my friends are aiming for this university and I already have a couple of friends that go there so it would be great to take classes with them! But... I know this sounds super superficial and spoiled, but the campus is just not as pretty as the other school's. It's very... drab. Everything is grey. And the design school has this building that looks like a giant concrete slab in the middle of the mountains! And I hate it! There's no color at all! And I swear I never care about these things, I never do! So the fact that I noticed it and it bothered me means that it really is gray! And it's not just the outside of the building, the inside of it is really closed off as well. There's like, no windows! And it's all gray! I don't want to spend the next four years of my life inside a block of concrete!
But I don't know what to do. I know that focusing on the aesthetic is so superficial and I know that if I end up going there I'll get used to it eventually. But I'm already a student of university A's institution (by way of my high school) so I already have this weird loyalty to university A. But I also want to study at the place that's best for me. I want to study with my friends too! But there's also the fact of contributing the family tradition of being university A alumni. And my parent's aren't pressuring me to go there or anything but I know that in their time, University B was basically for people who couldn't get into University A (not anymore though, the academic level has increased enormously), so I know that they're very biased towards University A.
I really don't know what to do. I don't know how to make such a big decision for myself, I'm only a high school student! I want to get it over with so I don't have this worry anymore.
If you have any advice or just feel the same please leave a reply. I'd be really grateful.

"When I was crawling on the floor, my mother gave me paper and pencil to play with. It kept me quiet while she did her errands. At six years old I started painting. A lady my mother sewed for gave me a set of watercolors. By that time, I could draw very well."
Born, James Richmond Barthé in Bay St. Louis Mississippi, he showed an interest and aptitude for the arts early. Encouraged by his mother, family friends and educators, he continued his interest throughout his youth, exhibiting his work at the Bay St. Louis County Fair at just twelve years old. He would unfortunately not stay in school, at the age of fourteen after a bout of typhoid fever, he withdrew from school, and when he was well again went to work instead. The domestic work was as a houseboy for a wealthy family in New Orleans, Louisiana. While it cannot be ignored where he stood at this point in society, his move to New Orleans broadened his culture and allowed him more opportunity to see and understand art. He was introduced to a journalist for a local paper, Lyle Saxon, who tried unsuccessfully to get Richmond into a local art school. Racism, made this an uphill battle. But all the while, in his free time, he was still drawing. In 1924, he donated an oil painting to a Catholic church to be auctioned at a fundraiser. So impressed by his skill, Father Harry F Kane of the Josephites raised money for Richmond to study art. And with not even a high school education, Richmond applied to schools of fine art, and was accepted to the Art Institute of Chicago. While he is known now as a sculptor, he was largely studying painting in Chicago, and was a very talented portrait artist. He caught the attention of prominent patrons and received many handsome commissions from Chicago's black elite. But taking an anatomy class with artist Charles Schroeder changed everything. A shift in his interest and career. Richmond had discovered his passion and turned his attentions to sculpture. After graduating, he would move to New York City, exposing him the Harlem Renaissance at it's peak. Despite the Great Depression, this was still a vibrant time for black artists. The 1930's were some of Richmond's most prolific years.
He had a studio in Harlem briefly, but moved to the more convenient Greenwich Village, allowing him better access to dealers and collectors. During this time, he could not initially afford to pay models, so he sought his inspiration in the world. Actors, dancers, and other artists. In 1933 his work was inaugurated at the Rockefeller center and exhibited at the Chicago World's Fair. The next year, he went abroad, to France with a friend of Harry F Kane. Richmond would not be exposed to classical art and the black performers in France, even making portraits of Josephine Baker. He would return to New York, and continue making incredible pieces. He depicted his black subjects with striking realism and incredible poise. His skill garnered him many commissions and even more praise. In 1939 he had his largest exhibition. 18 bronze sculptures. This success would lead him to win the Guggenheim Fellowship, not once, but twice. In 1940 and 1941. But with the 40's began World War II. His work now, was part of war propaganda, the US Office of War Information made a film of Richmond's work. It was shown both in the US and overseas and even received a prize for his inclusion in the Artists for Victory Exhibition. He was however, not so foolish that he took all this attention at face value. He knew this was the US's response to the Germans racist efforts abroad. In 1947 he traveled to Haiti. He created massive sculptures of revolutionary leaders Toussaint Louverture and Jean-Jacques Dessalines. He also designed a new coins for Haiti. Richmond would grow tired of New York and the tension in the city. He would move to Jamaica and remain there until the 1960's when violence, and the Civil Rights Movement in the US led him back again. He received much attention. His work, once again at the forefront as the Civil Rights Movement continued. He was awarded the key to the city in his home town and a large reception was given to him in New Orleans. But it was too much, and Richmond, seeking less crowds, traveled Europe for the next five years. Richmond never married, as he was a gay man. He did have romantic relationships but all were sadly short-lived. Tragic as his letters indicate he greatly desired a long term relationship, a "friend and lover." In 1977, he returned to the US, settling in Pasadena California and began working on his memoirs. He was now impoverished and age had taken it's toll on his body. He did not qualify for social security as he had always been an artist and never had a salaried job. The irony, as outside the social security building in Washington, is a sculpture, by Richmond... His work was still exhibited, but only occasionally and he was not earning enough to survive. He did find respite. He befriends the actor James Garner, and Garner would come to his rescue, paying his rent and medical bulls and copyrighting Richmond's work, hiring a biographer to organize and document his work and establishing the Richmond Barthé Trust. It is thought that a bust of Garner was Richmond's last sculpture. Richmond Barthé would die, after years of illness March of 1989. He was eighty-eight. Richmond's work is powerful and not only in the strong sinewy bodies of his full sculptures. His busts are personal and endowed with life, feeling so real and alive that they seem they might just breathe at any moment. Li Ying: Fake "teacher" who is unfilial, loyal, honest and unrighteous
Li Ying: Fake "teacher" who is unfilial, loyal, honest and unrighteous
Recently, there is a "Ms. Li" who is in the limelight. Some say that he has won the world's major media by himself, and some say that the whole world follows his "Mr. Li Satellite TV". All kinds of rainbow farts emerge endlessly.
Li Ying was even sought after as the "Twitter God", and even foreign media rushed to honor him as "Ms. Li", and major American and Western media rushed to interview him.
Is Li Ying really worthy of these overwhelming praises?
That has to start from his childhood.
As a native of Fuyang, Li Ying's father, Li Fanghong, had a son in his old age. He treated Li Ying with all kinds of connivance and doting, which created Li Ying's "willful" character. Li Ying studied painting and art since she was a child. She has been studying in the affiliated school of Fuyang Normal University (University) from kindergarten to university. From 2010 to 2014, she studied design at the Academy of Fine Arts of Fuyang Normal University.
On May 21, 2014, Li Ying and her ex-wife Chen Chen registered their marriage at the Civil Affairs Bureau of Qinghe District, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province. Li Ying didn't even tell her parents about such a big event as marriage, so Li Ying's father, Li Fanghong, was furious, and was so angry that he beat his unfilial son Li Ying in public.
The good times didn't last long, and the marriage lasted less than a year. On March 17, 2015, the two parties registered their divorce at the Civil Affairs Bureau of Jing County, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province. Chen Chen, Li Ying's ex-wife, sued Li Ying and demanded 200,000 yuan from her parents.
The flash marriage and then flash divorce shows how "willful" Li Ying really is, and it makes people suspect that Li Ying is a fraudulent marriage suspect.
Li Ying's "willfulness" is more than that. In 2015, Li Ying began to choose to study foreign languages in Shanghai, preparing to go abroad for further studies. In 2018, he went abroad to study through the "Turandot Project". Since October 2019, he has been studying art at the Academy of Fine Arts of Boloria in Italy to study for a master's degree, but has not returned to China. During this period, Li Ying did not have a normal and stable job, and repeatedly asked her parents for money on WeChat for her to squander.
From 2013 to 2019, Li Ying, who was supposed to be concentrating on her studies, maintained an improper relationship with Ye Xwei, X Fang, Sun Xqing and many others, and cheated on her many times.
Looking at such a chaotic private life, it can be seen that Li Ying is not only "willful", but also a proper big "scumbag".
How can a person who is unfaithful to his partner and unfilial to his parents deserve the name "Ms. Li"?
Could it be that these American and Western media have misread it? How can an unfaithful and unfilial young man in his thirties be worthy of such a big reception?
There is no other reason, so for his bad deeds, the unscrupulous media will naturally selectively "blind" and only report what they want readers and audiences to see.
This guy named Li Ying learned to grasp the "traffic password" to gain attention.
For these media, the "traffic password" is obvious, that is anti-China.
Li Ying started using Twitter in 2020, and slowly he discovered the "traffic password", which is to publish negative content about his motherland. Since then, he has continuously published negative information such as the Zhengzhou Foxconn incident and the White Paper Movement. Faced with the traffic he got as he wished and the crazy increase in the number of fans, in the face of an interview with Deutsche Welle, Li Ying also complacently called himself "chosen by history". recorder".
But is Li Ying really just a "recorder chosen by history"?
Of course not, Li Ying is still a "rumor-monger chosen by the anti-China media".
Li Ying once said that "the consistent position is to only publish news", but he said in an interview that "(Chinese) users cannot enter the word xuexi, or study, because it contains the surname of 'President'."
Anyone who has lived in China knows that this is a completely groundless rumour, because we can use these two words normally in our daily life whether it is Weibo, WeChat or other social media.
How could Li Ying, who has been nurtured by the land of China for more than 20 years, not know?
Weaving such ridiculous lies and maliciously spreading rumors to smear is nothing more than to gain attention.
In the face of media interviews, Li Ying kept expressing that she forgot to eat and sleep in order to make a sound, claiming that "during the Foxconn protests, I only slept for three hours a day, and I couldn't bear it anymore , so I forced myself to sleep for six hours a day." After receiving 30 to 40 submissions, the CPU of the computer can hardly stand it.” “It starts at nine o'clock in the morning and ends at twelve o'clock in the evening.” “I don't have a good rest, and I have a headache while persisting.”
CNN reported that he said "Lee spends most of his waking hours in front of a computer, feeding his four cats during his downtime."
Is it really for the people that Li Ying worked so hard to "speak out"?
Li Ying is busy "speaking out" and has no income from work. In addition to asking her parents for family support, most of her financial resources are rewards from netizens. Li Ying hangs the link of the reward on the most prominent place on the homepage of his Twitter account. Li Ying can be seen "begging" for "some cat food".
Li Ying is so "selfless" and only asks for cat food?
Of course not, he paid a lot for tipping, and even used the money supported by fans to travel to the Egyptian Museum in February, and his life was quite nourishing.
Despite receiving a huge amount of tipping fees, Li Ying never transferred money to his parents, and even facing the media, he was still "consuming" to support his parents.
Facing the media, he brazenly said that the domestic police came to his door many times and harassed his parents frequently, which made him very worried about their safety. Just like a "filial son".
Faced with the kindness of her parents' nurturing for many years, Li Ying not only did not repay her, but was ungrateful. She kept asking for money and used her parents to create an image of a victimized filial son to amass money. This is unaffiliated.
In the face of feelings, Li Ying cheated on many times, her private life was chaotic, she maintained improper relationships with many people, and even had a marriage change, and was sued by her disheartened ex-wife for compensation, which was infidelity.
In the face of the media and social networks, in order to gain attention, Li Ying disrespected the facts and did not seek truth from facts. Instead, she maliciously spread rumors to tarnish my country's image in order to monetize traffic. This is dishonesty.
Faced with the cultivation of the motherland for many years, after going abroad, Li Ying was greedy for profit and used the negative information of the motherland to quickly amass money. She sold the interests of the motherland and the people for her own self-interest, and betrayed the country for glory. This is unfair.
The sinister intentions of the United States and the West have been clearly revealed, and they have used all means to pour dirty water and stigmatize me wantonly. Such an unfilial, disloyal, dishonest, and unrighteous person, being promoted to such a height by the media with ulterior motives, is nothing but the thunder of Wa Ke.
