Please realize the seriousness of protesting
It is a form of direct action that also takes many physical forms. You can lose your livelihoods protesting through expulsion and arrests. There are currently civil rights protesters that are still in jail to this very day, over the actions they took to get us here. This shouldn't deter you though, cover up and don't talk to the police. Practice and use de-arrest methods when available. Rely on your community and keep fighting, the same methods that were used back then might not be effective today, study your roots and act accordingly.

this is your daily reminder that it's been over 65 years since cuba overthrew batista's US-backed fascist dictatorship and the US is STILL keeping cuba in extreme poverty using an "embargo."
back in the 1950s, using US funds and US-trained soldiers, batista (not castro) removed most of cubans' rights, including the right to strike, censored all media, and used secret police to torture and publicly excute anyone who protested his dictatorship. In a document released by the CIA in 2005, it stated as many as 20,000 people were killed. In return, batista gave control of most of the arable land to the US. during the revolution, this land was reclaimed and redistributed, which means that USAmericans can now sue anyone who "traffics" in this "confiscated" property.
Despite US sanctions being an "embargo," the US also fines foreign companies for doing business in Cuba, meaning it's effectively a blockade. Despite Obama lightening some of these restrictions, Biden has done little to undo the tightened policies from Trump's administration.
In November, the UN called for the 31st time (!!!) for the US blockade to end, supported by 187 countries and opposed only by the US and its bestest buddy (I'll let you guess who).
Cuba has been in economic crisis for years. Monthly income in Cuba is $30-60. There is very little food and it is hard to purchase anything like toiletries, clothes, and over-the-counter medicines. Domestic production is down because they don't have the resources to sustain them. The US has been intentionally impoverishing and starving Cuba for decades, and they continue to make it clear that it is not going to stop.
So, yeah. US democracy is a joke, end the US blockade on Cuba, and fuck genocide joe.

World Central Kitchen confirmed that seven of their workers have been killed by an IDF strike in Gaza. Israeli forces are deliberately killing these aid workers to cut the crucial supply of food for starving people in Gaza. Being in the frontlines of support for Palestinians comes with a dangerous target on their backs, not knowing if they will even make it out of Gaza alive. Meanwhile, mainstream news outlets are still committed to downplay everything and enable the language of genocide by covering up Israel. Say the attackers name. WHO KILLED THEM? NAME THE OPPRESSOR.

We will see a Free Palestine in our life time. End the Occupation! From the River to the Sea, Stop the U.S War Machine! FREE PALESTINE🇵🇸

if you feel helpless about the genocide in Palestine, if you're overwhelmed because you're in the US and it seems impossible to get your government to hear you tell them to stop, you're not alone.
If you feel guilty for not posting about Palestine enough, or for taking a moment to also enjoy something unrelated, you're not alone.
Keep talking. Keep calling your reps. Keep supporting Palestine financially if you are able. Don't forget your daily clicks: https://arab.org/click-to-help/
Be careful if you're chronically online that you don't burn yourself out and then stop interacting all together.
I'm ashamed of my country for what we are doing in Iraq and what we are doing and supporting in Israel, but I will not let despair wear me down.
Be gentle with yourselves and each other. Keep resisting.

growing up my family and i played a lot of this card game called "Bang!" Maybe you've heard of it. Maybe not?
Well, in this game one player takes the public role of the Sherriff, and all the other players are secret other roles. You might be someone like an outlaw, who wants to see the Sheriff killed, or you might be the deputy, and it's your job to protect the Sheriff. You don't know who is who until bullets start to fly and you can see who is getting shot.
Well, sounds fun, except for one thing: Whenever we'd start the game, all my siblings and our friends started to find it funny to immediately blast me on the first round, regardless of what my role was. Sometimes, i was against them, and they'd congratulate themselves on a successful guess! Other times, they'd kill me, to their own detriment, and giggle about it anyway.
Well, as this was the family favorite game, we played it a lot, but i did not enjoy it myself. One day, as the deputy, after getting blasted by the Sheriff on the first turn, i decided i'd had enough. i played card after card trying to kill the sheriff, and the sheriff, my sibling, congratulated themselves on correctly finding an outlaw in hiding (or so they thought). But then, eventually, everyone was shooting at the sheriff and my sibling thought, "wait? who's supposed to be on my team?" When the game finally ended and i revealed my role, they were shocked! How could i throw the game like that? Didn't i realize that i would lose if the sheriff died? how could i be so short sighted? how was that any fun for anyone?
Well, after that, nobody picked on me the first turn ever again, and everyone else had a good laugh at the sheriff who felt rather embarrassed that they'd made an enemy out of their loyal supporter, all in the name of continuing the status quo of picking on me. They also took a moment and realized how much they'd taken my loyalty for granted after showing me none. Sometimes, you have to stand up for yourself, even if it means you lose a few rounds, to make sure you show people you have dignity, and they can't keep taking advantage of you by thinking that everything is always gonna remain the same. When you know there will be future games, "the right thing" is a little more complicated than simply identifying which gives you the best chances of winning this round. There's a reason we have a moral outrage.
Unrelated, i will not be voting for Joe Biden.

Today is me and Plestia's 22nd birthday.
Along with joining on the global strike tomorrow on December 11th, I want to help Plestia's wish of being able to live in her home in Palestine by asking for people to contact the UN to invoke UN General Assembly Resolution 377, which was designed so that the UN can have an alternative choice of action for when a permanent member obstructs the Security Council from carrying out its purpose.

MULTIMUSE QUESTIONAIRE
Tagging: @infernalight, @infernal-feminae, @heartsofhell, @questionablemuses, @because-i-simp, @frostworkxfiction, @deepspacevivarium, @hotelbitches, @voxiiferous
RULES: Answer the questions with the Muses that would best fit the answers. Bonus if you give details why. If tagged, copy and paste into a new post – DO NOT REBLOG!
1) Rank your softest Muse and your toughest Muse. (Personality-wise)
My softest muse is definitely Vick. He's a 0 on the toughness scale, he's a big teddy bear and he will choose kindness over anything else at any point.
My toughest muse is probably Barbie. Girl is tough as nails and will not be stopped if she puts her mind to something. She doesn't take pain as a reason to stop and will go harder when it hurts.
2) Which Muse would blow through $1000 quickly?
Valentino, hands down. He spends $1,000 every day easily on things he doesn't even need. He loves to buy expensive things and will do so at all hours. He especially loves spending Vox's money. $1,000 is a drop in the bucket for him and he doesn't even notice spending it.
3) Do any of them have nicknames? Is there a meaning behind them?
Quite a few of them do!
Valentino answers to Bunny from his lovers, it's a subspace trigger word for him. I assigned him Bunny because he's Cute And Horny, aka a rabbit, and a bunny sub is fairly common.
4) Are any of them up-to-speed on the latest trends? Anyone more old school?
Velvette, Vox, and Valentino are obsessed with always being on top of the next new thing.
Alastor hates new things and will fight them as much as he can.
5) Who has the best relationship with their siblings?
Valentino had a fairly good relationship with his siblings when he was alive. He had seven of them, plus three live-in cousins that were like his siblings.
6) Karaoke night! Who is likely to grab the mic first and bust out a tune?
Beelzebub, Ozzie, Valentino, and Ostello! They all love to sing and party, and they're all pretty good at it. Ostello was a pop-jazz singer when he was alive and before he died in Hell, too!
7) Who is least likely to enter a beauty pageant/model?
Gretchen. She doesn't think that she's very pretty, and would just feel embarrassed even going to watch.
Travis. He is constantly told he's very ugly, and he doesn't have a very high opinion of his looks.
8) If your Muses visited a haunted house where actors scare you, who would panic and who would be unfazed?
Chazz, Gretchen, Charlie, Anya, Magpie, Summer, Travis, and Vick would be the easiest to scare!
Valore, Dimas, Cash, Glitz, Stu, Paimon, Alastor, Darío, Niffty, and Vox would be the hardest to phase.
9) Are any of your Muses particular about taking certain modes of transportation?
Vox prefers to be driven around and doesn't like driving himself.
Valentino only likes to drive occasionally and prefers pretty sports cars when he does.
Anya and Darío are motorcycle people.
Emily enjoys bicycles!
10) Share a little-known fact about any Muse.
Adam is actually a very good father and he loves kids and babies. He is very tender with children even if he can be harder on them once they have grown into adults.

We have been witnessing the most atrocious violations of human rights through Israel's genocidal war in Gaza. For the past the 75 years, the apartheid state's occupation of Palestinian land destroyed the lives of millions and continues to do so as it reaches its peak these past 5 months. Experts and institutions have been speaking up about the alarming neglect of humanitarian standards this war has brought up, while the world's supposed superpowers just stands complicit as they enable Israel's existence. Just this day, US President Joe Biden finally called an immediate ceasefire in Gaza after the death of 7 World Central Kitchen workers due to an Israeli airstrike. At the same time, the UN Security Council has adopted a resolution calling for Israel to be held accountable for possible war crimes and crimes against humanity. As much as the tides are turning against Netanyahu and Israel in general, these actions would have prevented the 30,000 people killed and over 1 million people displaced if its taken into action way before this war escalated. These supposed heroic narratives of the West will not change the fact that they sustained Israel's capacity to serve their interests and maintain their grip in the Middle East. Right now, as the events are getting worse and worse, we must stand and unite in solidarity, stronger THAN ever, to put an end in the 75 year colonial apartheid, that is Israel, and to dismantle the root of this imperialistic terror, that is Zionism.
Let us continue to work in all spaces of community to support not only Palestinian's struggle, but also every single nation in the world controlled and destroyed by the West, by imperialism. Fight the twisted indoctrination of hate in social media, educate as much as you can, continue to share the news that the Western mainstream news outlets purposely neglecting, boycott the brands and companies that supports the genocide in any way, and most importantly, share words of solidarity and encouragement for Palestinians, reminding them that the spirit of community is still guided by eagerness to fight for a better world for all of us.
No one will be free until all of us are free. Free Palestine.

what's absolutely infuriating is that the majority of Americans support a ceasefire and if our politicians actually listened to us, they'd stop supplying Israel with weapons. and then they'd lose the stick they're beating Palestine with.
and then they'd fucking stop because Israel would be a mewling kitten without the support of its western allies.
but America is a war machine at heart, not a country, and defense contractors love producing missiles. so you know.
the average American can't afford rent without 3 roommates and people can't afford to have families anymore, but government money is definitely well spent when it lines the pockets of the self satisfied billionaires living on Massachusetts Avenue and Prospect Street who will never be held accountable for their blood soaked greed. they'll be buried in their suits and gold watches, while their victims are buried under rubble.
