Steve doesn’t just rest his head in Eddie’s nap when he’s getting comfy for a nap. He gets Eddie to lay down on his back, and he nuzzles his face into his tummy. Rubbing his face into it, nibbling his waist, blowing raspberries over his belly button and ghosting his fingers over his hips to tickle him, leaving him in breathy giggles. Eddie’s tummy moves up and down through his laughter and Steve chuckles being bounced around a little. When he’s soothed down enough to sleep, Eddie can tell because it’s like all of the hyper energy Steve had for his tummy disappears into sleepily planting gentle kisses under his navel. Eddie just lays there, petting his fingers through Steve’s hair and watches a Lord of the rings until he falls asleep himself. Or Steve wakes up and becomes feral for his tummy all over again. 🍯

cw- tickling, swearing
Tumblr media
wayne notices everything. eagle eyed he picked up on how close steve and his nephew were before they even told him they were dating. he very quickly saw how much eddie liked to fluster steve around their friends, he thought it was only fair that he gave the lad some ammo on eddie.
“when he was younger and showing off, i just used to poke his sides a little, that was quickly an attitude adjustment.” he whispered to steve when eddie had gone to the bathroom. steve’s eyes gleamed at the information, he would never have guessed eddie was ticklish, but slowly everything started adding up.
eddie re-entered the room and steve had a shit-eating grin plastered over his face.
“what the fuck did you tell him?” eddie groaned making direct eye contact with his uncle, pointing his finger accusingly.
he was so screwed.

Ren Faire (Eddie/Steve)
Summary: Steve, Eddie, and Robin go to a Renaissance Fair and see some interesting demonstrations. (This fic is for my lovely friend @gigglyrambles!! I literally just pulled this whole plot out of my ass and wrote it in one sitting, so I really hope you like it, LOL. Also, shoutout to @wordstrings because I know she has written something similar for Our Flag Means Death, I hope you don't mind me taking inspiration!!)
Steve isn’t sure how he ended up being dragged along to a Renaissance Fair with none other than Robin and Eddie, but he found it hard to say no to either of their puppy dog eyes and incessant begging.
His outfit is simple, consisting of a white, long-sleeved shirt with laces at the neckline, tight brown pants, and brown boots. He feels only a little bit ridiculous, but after seeing what his friends are wearing, he supposes he isn’t the weirdest looking one.
Eddie is decked out in black, an intricately detailed top with ruffles and buttons. A fake sword sits in a holder on his waist. Robin has gone for a more masculine look, a cloak over her shoulders and a bow and arrow in her hand.
“Screw historical accuracy,” she’d said.
“The fact that you’re a girl isn’t the problem, it’s that you couldn’t hit a moving target with an arrow to save your life,” Eddie had teased, and Robin had elbowed him in the ribs, making Steve laugh.
Now that they’ve arrived, Steve has relaxed a bit. He used to feel out of place whenever he attended events that he wouldn’t have been caught dead at in high school. Corroded Coffin concerts, DnD campaigns, and that one time he drove Eddie and Robin to the nearest gay bar in Indiana. It had definitely been more awkward sober, and before he realized that he’s bisexual, and could have totally had more fun if he’d been aware of and okay with that information at the time.
He’s sort of glad he wasn’t, though, because kissing Eddie Munson during a childish game of truth or dare was a much funnier way to have your queer awakening, and dating Eddie Munson is way more fun than hooking up with random guys in a bar.
“They have really good beer here,” Eddie comments, to which Steve holds up his car keys and jingles them. No medieval mead is going to keep him from being the designated driver.
“I can drive us home,” Robin says, absolutely joking, but Steve still gives her a horrified look and makes a show of sliding his keys back into his pocket, patting the denim for safe keeping. She sticks her tongue out at him, and he flicks her cheek.
Eddie does end up getting some beer, and Steve allows himself a few sips. They’ll be here for at least a few hours, he’ll surely sober up by then. He also samples the gigantic turkey leg that Eddie gets, and Robin wrinkles her nose in disgust at the messy nature of the food.
As they walk around, Steve finds himself getting into the spirit more than he had expected. They eat, watch musical performances, and shop at the little stalls set up by various vendors. Eddie buys a few rings for himself, and buys a handmade mug for Uncle Wayne. Robin indulges in candles and soaps, and even dares to see a fortune teller.
“She said that I’ll meet my future husband soon,” she says, giggling. “Clearly she’s a fraud, or she’d know I’m not interested.”
When Robin runs off to find a bathroom, somehow, Eddie and Steve end up standing around a demonstration about medieval punishments and torture, which Steve expects to be gruesome, and quickly finds he would rather hear gritty, gorey details than stand her and watch this happen.
A pretty girl, probably around their age, is locked into a pair of wooden stocks, and—
“You’ve gotta be kidding me,” Steve mutters, pinching the bridge of his nose between his fingers.
Eddie looks absolutely delighted as he leans in close. “What’s wrong, Stevie? The demonstration isn’t bothering you, is it?” he asks. His cheeks are flushed, too. A few months ago, Eddie would probably be the one stuttering and staring at the ground right now, but ever since he introduced this little world to Steve, he’s gained a confidence about it that only comes out when he gets to tease Steve into oblivion.
“Shut up.”
“You shut up, I’m trying to watch. Maybe I can get some pointers from these guys.”
‘These guys’ refers to the two men who have started tickling the girl’s trapped feet, and frantic giggles fill the air and make Steve’s stomach flip.
“Oh, she’s handling this better than you would,” Eddie continues to tease. “I’d already be called every insult under the sun if you couldn’t kick me instead.”
“I will kick you right now,” Steve threatens. It’s a complete lie. He’s frozen to the spot on the grass, torn between watching and focusing on the grass. Everyone else in the crowd is behaving like this is so normal, no big deal, just a silly show.
One of the men has moved behind the girl to tickle her ribs, her arms secured above her head. Steve crosses his arms over his chest, subconsciously protecting his own sensitive spots, like just watching her could tickle him, too.
“You love that spot,” Eddie coos. “You make the cutest sounds when I tickle you there.”
“I’m gonna fuckin’ kill you,” Steve grits out.
“Sure you will, sweetheart. Can it wait ‘til after I’ve made you cry real pretty for me?”
Just then, Robin appears at his side. “This looks like my worst nightmare,” she says. “I hope this girl is getting paid well.”
Steve makes a noise of agreement, but can’t bring himself to look over. Eddie Munson is going to be the fucking death of him. Thankfully, Robin is immediately bored of the display and drags them off to explore. Eddie subtly gives Steve’s side a quick pinch as he walks past him, and Steve suddenly can’t wait to go home.
***
“You are a fucking menace,” Steve accuses the moment they’ve made it through the door.
His parents aren’t home, Robin was dropped off back at her house, and now, Steve is alone with Eddie for the first time all day, and he refuses to voice how excited he is for whatever Eddie’s got planned.
But Eddie just grins, tugging off the more elaborate pieces of his costume, leaving himself in socks, boxers, and a white t-shirt. He makes his way to the kitchen, comes back with two cans of beer, sits on the couch like he isn’t ignoring the clear tension in the room.
Steve gapes at him for a minute before joining him on the couch, kicking off his boots and taking a beer as well. Maybe Eddie’s changed his mind…Maybe he just isn’t the mood, and Steve isn’t going to pressure him into anything.
But…Well, he has a sneaking suspicion that isn’t the case at all.
“If you’re waiting for me to ask, it’s not gonna happen,” he says.
“Ask for what?” Eddie tilts his head curiously, but there’s a glint in his eye that proves Steve’s theory.
“Nothing,” Steve replies, playing along. “All that talk back there just made me think you had a plan for when we got home. But if you’re not interested, that’s fine too.”
“Did you want me to have a plan?”
Steve huffs. “Maybe. But if you don’t, then let’s forget about it.”
“Oh, c’mon baby,” Eddie says, throwing an arm around Steve’s shoulders and pulling him close. “All you’ve gotta do is ask if you want it so bad.”
His cheeks burn. Stubborn as ever, he shakes his head.
Eddie sighs with exaggerated disappointment. “If you insist. I guess I’ll just keep my hands to myself tonight…”
“Good,” Steve says, and turns the television on.
It takes two beers and a stupid scene in a film to break him. It’s a quick, barely there tickle, but the character’s laugh makes Steve perk up like a dog hearing a doorbell ring.
“Fine,” he says.
“What’s fine?” Eddie asks.
“Just fucking tickle me, you dick.”
Eddie grins and wastes no time, lunging across the couch and pinning Steve to the cushions.
“I knew you’d crack eventually, sweetheart,” he teases. “Sorry we don’t have quite the same set up, but I’ll hold you down real nice, okay?”
Steve is already grinning. He can’t help it, he’s so lovestruck by his boyfriend and desperate to laugh his head off. And laugh he does when Eddie goes straight for his ribs, scratching at the dips between each little bone.
“There’s that pretty sound,” he says, pressing a kiss to Steve’s jaw that is both sweet and ticklish under the current circumstance.
The stupid shirt with the laces is pulled over his head and discarded on the floor, and Eddie pins Steve’s wrists and tells him to stay still before exploring each ticklish spot on his torso, making him shriek and cackle and snort like a fool.
He doesn’t stay still for very long, arms shooting down to his sides when Eddie attacks his belly with blunt fingernails, and Eddie scolds him but doesn’t stop.
As he squirms on the couch, giggling like mad, he wonders if they sell some of those bondage contraptions there. He thinks that they should go back to the Ren Faire sometime.

Fighting demonic entities from another dimension is certainly one way to bring people together.
Steve and Eddie certainly didn't have had the most typical start to their friendship, so the pair were more than happy to slide back into a more regular young adult friendship experience once everything had calmed down.
But, the less crazy shit the two experienced, the more Eddie noticed Steve's little quirks that his brain couldn't help but fixate on. Nothing that necessarily bothered him, just weird things that most people probably didn't realise about Steve.
One of those weird things was his laugh. Or, rather, his lack of proper laughter.
Any time someone cracked a stupid joke, or something funny happened in the movie they were watching, Steve would bow his head and let out a few near-silent snickers, before lifting his gaze again with a slightly-too-perfect grin.
The first time it happened, Eddie put it down to nerves. Steve wasn't quite used to hanging out with Eddie's bandmates yet, so of course he would be more reserved than usual.
But it happened again, and again, and again. And the less people that were around, the more confused Eddie became. It was almost like Steve was consciously stopping himself from laughing aloud.
From that point forward, Eddie made it his mission to make Steve laugh. He'd poke fun at Dustin, goof around with his guitar, and add even more dramatic effects to his DnD games. But nothing seemed to crack Harrington.
That was until they were alone.
The pair had been lounging on Eddie's bed, talking back and forth about whatever TV show they had just finished. Eddie had made some stupid joke under his breath, not thinking anything of it. It was nothing out of the ordinary, and had no intent other than maybe getting Steve to roll his eyes.
But with the relaxed atmosphere of Eddie's bedroom, Steve's guard was so far down he didn't have time to pull it back up, and it was almost like the laughter started before either of them realised.
It was high pitched, only a level or two below squeaky, and certainly didn't fit Eddie's old image of 'Douchebag Steve'. The giggles were bright, clear but still bunched together. It came out in a stream for only a few seconds before both men locked eyes with surprise on their faces.
Eddie was entranced. It wasn't a particularly special sounding laugh, but it was coming from Steve. It was Steve's actual real laugh.
The man in question went red, and started stuttering out a "Where were we?" in an attempt to switch the conversation back.
Though Eddie allowed Steve the free pass, and carried the conversation back to Twin Peaks. But his brain kept ticking. Would Steve let that happen again? How could Eddie get him comfortable enough to laugh like that? How could Eddie even make him laugh enough to spill?
Steve was, by now, fully under the impression he had gotten away with it, but Eddie - the meddling kid - was far from ready to let it go.
As the conversation fell to a comfortable lull, Eddie spoke.
"You know, you should laugh like that more often."
Steve completely bluescreened. "Uh- I- What do you mean?"
Eddie sat upright. "Your normal laugh is so... quiet. Just then it felt like you really let go. I liked it."
"No I didn't." Steve's eyes fell to the bedsheets, out of Eddie's gaze. "My normal laugh is my only laugh, I don't have a different laugh."
Eddie chuckled, moving closer and almost looming over Steve. "You really don't want to start this fight with me, I know what I heard."
Still maintaining direct eye contact with the bed, Steve rubbed the back of his neck. "There's no fight to be had, I didn't laugh any differently. You can't prove it."
Oh that did it. Those three words struck a chord with the resident musician, and everything clicked into place in his mind.
"I can't prove it, huh?" Eddie smirked. "I think that's where you're wrong, Harrington."
With a predatory glint in his eyes, Eddie launched his fingers onto Steve's ribs and began vibrating his fingertips against the bones.
Steve let out a strangled gasp and tensed up, half-choked grunts squeezing through his sealed lips as his hands fought to pry Eddie's off him.
"Come on Harrington, just lemme hear you laugh." Eddie teased with a wink.
"ED-EDDIE- PL-PLEASE-!" Steve groaned through gritted teeth, snickers beginning to break through his resolve as he gripped Eddie's wrists rigidly.
Almost there Eddie thought to himself. "Just let it happen Stevie."
And happen it did.
It all became just a little too much for Steve's nervous system to handle, and those adorable squeaky giggles Eddie was looking for flooded the room. Steve's hands lost their strength, and his arms crossed weakly in front of his stomach to protect himself. At least, that was the intention. In reality he had just trapped Eddie's ticklish fingers against his sides.
But by this point, Eddie had forgotten all about his little attack. His fingers stopped abruptly only seconds after Steve had cracked. Frozen, Eddie was unable to pull his eyes (and his attention) from Steve's bright giggly smile, even as Steve's laughter faded.
"Fuhuhuhuck..." Steve whined, his hands covering his eyes and breaking the silence that had formed since his little giggle fit had ceased.
Eddie chuckled, ruffling Steve's hair. "I'd say that proved my point, wouldn't you?"
"You tell no one about this." Steve said sternly, lifting himself onto his elbows. "Especially not Robin... or the kids."
Eddie grinned. "Oh I'm happy to keep this between us, our little secret hmm?"
After a quick nod in response, Steve let his gaze drift around the room for a moment. "So... uh... are you gonna let me up or..."
"Pfft, nope." Eddie laughed, and shot his fingertips straight under Steve's arms.
And this time, Steve didn't even try to stop himself.

Growing Out of It

A/N: Here is my squealing santa submission for @apricots-and-dynamite !!!!! Happy holidays! I hope you like your fic! And thank you to Hypah for organizing this whole thing this year. 10/10
Tumblr media
It was a typical summer day in Forest Hills trailer park. Far too hot to stay inside the stifling trailer, Steve was lying on an old beach towel in the shade, lazily watching Eddie and Dustin wrestle as though it wasn’t hot enough to fry an egg on concrete. Max sat near Steve, fiddling with her Walkman, and Robin and Nancy were both holding cold cans of Coke against the backs of their necks as they chattered about college.
Steve didn’t know it yet, but he was about to make, quite possibly,  the biggest mistake of his life. Actually, scratch that, rewind - the biggest mistake barring anything before he stopped being an asshole.
A shriek from Dustin indicated that Eddie had decided to play dirty, and the giggles and protests that followed soon after told Steve that Eddie was inclined to absolutely wreck the brat, summer heat be damned. Steve smiled to himself as he secretly basked in the sound of Dustin acting like a normal kid.
“You’re smiling like a weirdo,” Max said, nudging Steve with her flip flop. “You’d better not be getting all sentimental over there, Harrington.”
“Why, Max Mayfield, are you promoting toxic masculinity?” Steve asked, running a hand through his damp hair and proud that he remembered the phrase from when Eddie explained it last week.
“Uh, no. I don’t like anyone getting emotional, not just men. I am all for everyone shutting the fuck up, all the time,” Max declared, and Steve cackled.
Eddie finally released Dustin with a ruffle to his hair, and the boy stumbled toward Steve, still sporting a wobbly smile. “Steve, Eddie’s being mean to me,” Dustin whined.
Eddie snorted, “Lies and slander! Libel! You just need to learn to respect your elders, my little sheep.”
Steve smiled, reaching out to poke Dustin’s side. “Seriously, Dust, your life is going to be sooo much easier once you grow out of that.”
Dustin’s brows furrowed. “Grow out of what?”
“Being ticklish,” Steve said, gesturing to Dustin like it should have been obvious.
From behind Dustin, Steve registered an unfamiliar look on Eddie’s face.
“What are you talking about, Steve?” Dustin looked at him like he had suggested Dustin try to grow wings and fly.
“I’m saying, once you grow out of being ticklish, Eddie will have to find another way to torture you,” Steve explained, throwing an arm over his eyes to signal it was the end of the conversation.
However, he could still hear the mischief in Eddie’s voice, sounding much closer than he had been a few moments ago, “Harrington…” he said, slowly, and the warning bells went off in Steve’s mind. He opened his eyes and pushed himself up on his elbows, finding a slow grin spreading on Eddie’s face. “Are you telling me you ‘grew out’ of being ticklish?”
“Uh, yeah? Didn’t everyone?” Steve looked around nervously. “It’s a kid thing. We all grow out of it eventually.”
“Uh huh,” Eddie said, still grinning. “And when was the last time someone tried to tickle you?”
Steve furrowed his brow, trying to figure out how that would be relevant. “I don’t know, dude, Tommy and I would play-fight in middle school, but probably not since then.”
Off to the side, Nancy and Robin had paused their conversation and were observing the scene before them, interested. Robin had a grin, not unsimilar to Eddie’s, creeping up on her face, while Nancy looked a little like a sad puppy, the way she often did when Steve brought up his childhood.
“Really? It’s been that long?” Nancy asked quietly.
“Yeah? But I really don’t see what that has to - oof!” The breath was knocked out of Steve as Eddie suddenly plopped down on top of him, knees on either side of Steve’s hips. “Eddie? What-“ Steve jackknifed up into an almost-sitting position when Eddie clawed at his tummy.
Three thoughts occurred to Steve simultaneously. First, he was very close to Eddie’s lips, and a large part of him would like to be even closer. Second, he might have missed the mark with the whole ‘I grew out of being ticklish,’ idea. Third, if the evil grin on Eddie’s face was any indication, Steve was absolutely fucked.
“Quite an interesting theory you’ve got there, Stevie,” Eddie drawled as he pushed Steve back down. “However, everyone knows that a good theory needs to be tested.”
Steve was so focused on how hot it was that Eddie had him pinned that he barely registered what Eddie was saying. Without any more preamble, Eddie darted both hands into Steve’s underarms and wiggled his fingers.
Steve’s eyes almost popped out of his head. “FUCK!” he exclaimed before collapsing into laughter. Holy shit, it felt like his nerves were crackling with electricity. This was far from Tommy’s quick pokes from middle school wrestling matches. This was so, so much worse.
“What is this?” Steve managed to ask between rounds of snickers.
Eddie snorted at how baffled Steve sounded, even through his laughter. “This, Stevie, is evidence that you were wrong.” Then, he wretched his hands out of Steve’s underarms and scribbled over his ribs and sides.
Steve laughed harder, squirming fruitlessly to try and escape Eddie’s fingers. “Oh my GOD,” he gasped out when Eddie found a spot in the middle of his ribcage that made him arch his back helplessly.
Eddie laughed along with him. “Want to rethink that hypothesis there, sweetheart?” One hand still at his ribs, Eddie reached up to flutter his fingers at Steve’s neck, which made him scrunch up his shoulders with a giggle and pull his bottom lip between his teeth.
Steve’s mouth shot open moments later with a shriek of, “Dustin!” before his cackling was redoubled. Eddie looked down and saw that Dustin had latched onto the muscle above Steve’s knee and was squeezing ruthlessly.
“Ooooo, did the shrimp find a bad spot?” Eddie teased, voice syrup-sweet. Steve shook his head back and forth, cheeks darkening.
“Fuck OFF,” Steve yelped, squirming harder now that he seemed to have remembered they weren’t alone.
“Still think you grew out of it?” Eddie taunted as he took the hint and gave one final scribble to Steve’s ribs before rolling to lay down beside him. Steve, still giggling, curled up on his side and hugged his knees to his chest. Dustin ruffled Steve’s hair, and Steve was too preoccupied with chasing away the last of the ghost tickles to dodge his hand.
Catching his breath, Steve gazed at Eddie. “Yeah, I might have missed the mark on that one,” he said seriously, before breaking into a grin. “Although,” he said, scrambling to straddle Eddie. “If I didn’t grow out of it… I would bet that you didn’t either, Munson.”
Eddie just smiled.

A Secret Language
a/n: MY FIRST ST FIC!!! this took way longer than expected and is therefore a big chungus
anon: steve and eddie with “It’s been a while since you tickled me.” (33)
Tickle Trope Prompts
(Stranger Things; Steve, Eddie)
3845 words
CW: implied masturbation
Eddie liked to touch. This mostly applied to soothing any anxiety his body had no other way of expelling. Whether that was picking at the dry skin of his cuticle, twirling a strand of hair between his fingers, peeling off labels from beer bottles - the list was endless.
Eddie also liked to touch people. Not inappropriately, obviously. Just in small, casual ways. Little touches like elbows and shoulders and knees bumping together in close proximity, ruffling of hair, a pat on the shoulder - that list was equally endless.
Of course, he couldn’t just go around touching whoever he pleased and for a long time he didn’t even know how much he had craved that form of affection until new people entered his life like a stampede.
New people who didn’t think he was weird- Well, maybe they did, but they liked that about him. New people, who actually enjoyed spending time with him and valued his opinion. It was still an adjustment, not just for Eddie, who had to learn quickly that not everyone liked to be touched. But Eddie was a quick learner, and surprisingly observant.
So, he noticed the way Nancy always moved back when someone brushed up against her even just accidentally, maintaining a secure bubble of space for herself that she only allowed to be crossed on the rarest of occasions.
Eddie also noticed how Robin hated any touch that wasn’t completely obvious when it came. He had witnessed Steve sneaking up behind her on too many occasions not to notice. How her body visibly tensed when she sensed a presence behind her and the surprised yells she let out every single time, without fail. It took poor, oblivious Steve more than one scolding to realise that Robin did not appreciate his antics in the slightest before he finally stopped.
And then there was Steve. What didn’t Eddie notice about Steve? Perhaps he noticed too much for his own good. Steve, who had never pulled away from any of Eddie’s touches, whether he had planted them on purpose or without thinking. Steve, who let his leg relax enough so his knee bumped with Eddie’s whenever they sat beside each other. Steve, who would ask for hugs whenever a specific amount of beers was in his system. Eddie had counted them. It was eight.
Perhaps it was this mutual understanding that brought the two boys closer together as time went on. The understanding of how healing touch could be, how it could be its own secret language.
It took some time before their touches turned more playful, deliberately placed to draw out a reaction from the other. At first it were harmless shoves and nudges, which turned into messing up of caringly styled hair and tripping each other up when walking, which turned into headlocks and squabbles and ended with the addition of tickling.
The discovery had happened accidentally, at least that’s how Eddie remembered it. Stuck in a particularly secure headlock, Eddie was forced to grip onto Steve’s waist for balance which worked like a charm in releasing the headlock altogether. It wasn’t until Eddie had straightened up that he noticed Steve keeping his arms protectively close, wide-eyed with a grin tugging on the corner of his mouth.
From that day on, Steve easily became the victim of one of Eddie’s tickle attacks about three times a week. Even when Steve tried to fight back or make the first move, Eddie always managed to get the upper hand. Too quickly for Steve’s liking.
The attacks never lasted for long, at least not at first. But the longer their little game continued, the greedier Eddie became. There was this thrill he got from that kind of contact. Or was it just because the contact was with Steve?
To be fair, Eddie had not dared to tickle anyone other than Steve, besides Dustin on occasion. But that was different. Dustin needed to be reminded to respect his elders. Steve… Well, Steve just made it way too easy.
Eddie wouldn’t consider himself a skilled tickler. How could he? He had barely had any sort of physical contact with anyone for years. Steve would probably blame it on being a skilled guitarist or something like that, because nobody had ever taken him to pieces the way Eddie had. Not that he would ever say that to his face, of course.
Either way, Eddie craved more. More choked protests, more flailing limbs, more hearty cackles and frantic giggles, more heated cheeks and tears of mirth, more twitching muscle beneath his fingertips. It was addictive and the addiction was infuriating.
Eddie found himself lying awake at night, cheeks almost sore from smiling as he replayed the sound of Steve’s laugh over and over in his head. His fingers itched to draw out more of the heavenly sound, making him restless. Dragging his fingers over his own bare torso just wasn’t quite the same, even if it did still that craving for the time being.
It wasn’t until one autumn morning that Eddie awoke with a sensation that filled him with dread. There had only been about three occasions before where Steve’s laughter had followed Eddie into his dreams. But this time was different. And it was bad.
Eddie lay as still as possible, staring at a dark spot on the ceiling as if it would help. But it didn’t and he couldn’t bear the sensation any longer. Hesitantly, he moved his hand down his torso, following the light trail of hairs beneath his belly button until he reached the waistband of his boxers. His hand paused and after a slow, deep exhale, it plunged beneath the fabric.
The problem was taken care of in no time, Eddie’s brain filled with images of that pearly white grin and scrunched up nose until he was done. He was still catching his breath, cheeks lightly flushed as he cleaned up his mess before getting dressed, ready to pretend like none of that had actually happened.
Two more times Eddie pretended like nothing happened until the feeling of guilt and shame turned his stomach into knots. There was no denying it at that point. He had a big, fat crush on Steve Harrington.
It wasn’t right. He knew better. A touch was never just a touch. At least when it came to girls, that’s what he knew. So why should it be different with a guy? Nobody should think like that about their friend- their best friend. He didn’t know any best friends that acted the way he did with Steve. Not in that way. He cried when it happened the fourth time.
Practically overnight, it seemed that Eddie’s hands were sewn into his pockets. The colder, brisker weather was the perfect excuse and he didn’t think Steve would even notice anyway.
Steve noticed. Perhaps not right away but he did. He didn’t really complain when the regular tickle attacks were reduced to the occasional jab or pinch at first. When they disappeared completely, that’s when he noticed. When his hugs were no longer reciprocated and what was previously a lingering hand on his shoulder, was now a brief fistbump with his arm, that’s when he became worried.
But Steve wasn’t good at bringing up emotional stuff - it was something he was still working on - and he thought, hoped perhaps, that this behaviour was temporary. Three weeks passed until Steve’s patients broke.
“Hey, Ed?”
“Hm?”
“What’s been going on with you?”
“What do you mean?”
The Munson trailer was cosy and surprisingly warm considering the freezing temperatures Hawkins had been experiencing. Steve pulled one foot onto the lumpy couch, tucking it beneath the other thigh as he tapped some ash from the joint into a nearby ashtray.
Steve had practically invited himself over to Eddie’s, telling him something about his parents having some important business friends over and that he would rather be anywhere than at home. That they had been on his case even more than usual recently and that he needed to take a load off.
How was Eddie supposed to say no to that? He let him into the trailer, glad that it was already dark out and the lights in the trailer were dim so that any flushed cheeks could go unnoticed. He rolled a joint for Steve before settling back on the floor beside the coffee table where he had been before the unexpected intrusion, writing up a new DnD campaign.
Steve had watched in silence for a while, occasionally letting his gaze wander around the room to see if anything had changed. It felt like it had been ages since he was in the trailer last. Quiet music was playing from somewhere, something slow and calm.
They had passed the joint back and forth a couple times before Steve broke the silence. Weed made Steve honest, Eddie had noticed.
“I mean…” He paused to take another drag, holding the smoke to give him time to think before releasing it with an exhale. “You seem different. Feel like I’ve barely seen you recently. And when I do you’re…” He waved his hand a bit as he took another drag, making Eddie gaze up at him. “It’s like you’re barely there.”
Eddie rolled his eyes and held his hand out for his turn. Only Steve could make things sound so dramatic. “Well, I’m right here, Harrington,” he replied once he could take a drag of his own.
Steve huffed a bit at the reply and pulled his other foot up so he could sit criss-crossed, leaning forward so he could see some of what Eddie was working on. But the lights were too dim and his eyes blurred the letters anyway, so there was no point. He rubbed at his eyes as he leaned back, head tilted back against the backrest.
“It just-...” Steve took a slow breath. “It’s been a while since you tickled me.”
Eddie froze, gaze slowly lifting from the papers before him to the other boy, relieved to find him staring at the ceiling. It hadn’t been ‘a while’. It had been three weeks. That was ages, an eternity. “Okay,” he replied slowly, dragging the word out as if to imply for Steve to elaborate since he didn’t know what else he could say himself.
Of course Steve stayed silent and Eddie’s knee began to bounce beneath the table. “Are you-” No, these were dangerous waters. “Is this your way of telling me that you miss it?” He did his best to sound teasing, sarcastic, as if there was a smirk on his voice when there was only panic.
“Well… Yeah, kinda.”
Not the answer he was expecting. Shitshitshit. Steve lifted his head as he continued to talk but before his eyes could find Eddie’s, he was already focusing on his papers again, scribbling away as if he were writing real words.
“But other stuff, too. I mean… you’re all the way over there-”
“I can’t write from the couch,” Eddie argued quickly, which was the truth. It had not stopped him from abandoning his task to join Steve for a smoke in the past though. He seemed to remember the joint in his hand and took one last long drag to finish it off, holding the smoke in for as long as he could.
“Alright, well… You made Dustin sit between us when we went to see Star Trek.” Eddie could feel Steve’s eyes on him and he was becoming hot under his gaze. He did do that, there was no denying it.
“And you refused to get in the front seat when I dropped you off after your last DnD session. The last four DnD sessions, actually. And you know how much I hate having Max in the front.” Eddie lifted his head again, just as slowly as before only to find Steve pouting at him. Damn, he looked cute. Close to a petulant child but still cute.
Eddie’s face was hot from his neck all the way to his ears, which were luckily hidden by his hair.
“So, what is it?”
Eddie blinked. “What’s what?”
“What’s been going on with you?”
Eddie was backed into the corner and he could feel it. Shitshitshit. Fuck. His heart was racing faster than he would like and his hands were starting to become clammy. “N-Nothing.” He got to his feet, mumbling a quick ‘I need a drink’ as he shuffled over to the fridge.
The light cast a dim glow onto Eddie’s face and just for a few moments he closed his eyes, allowing the cooled air to hit his burning face before grabbing a can of coke. He shut the door, ready to turn back when he bumped into something solid beside him. Steve.
“Are you avoiding me?” There was something hurt in Steve’s voice and it broke Eddie’s heart.
“N-No.” His feet moved back slightly, the proximity too overwhelming for the moment. “I’m not avoiding you.” It was a lie. This time he was physically backed into a corner, the edge of the kitchenette counter making contact as he took another small step back.
Steve’s head tilted to the side, hands coming to rest on his hips. “Okay. Then what about all the things I just said? Because I didn’t make them up?” Curse Steve’s stubbornness.
Eddie tried to act casual, leaning back against the counter as he picked at the tab of the can, never even opening it. “It’s not-... I- I don’t want people to get the wrong idea.” That wasn’t a lie.
Steve frowned. At least Eddie imagened a frown in the pause that followed. He wasn’t exactly looking at Steve’s face. “What people?”
“You know, just-” He waved his hand uselessly. “People.”
There was another pause. “No. I don’t know.”
Eddie sighed and shook his head, about to head back over to the coffee table. “Just forget it-” But as he was about to take a step forward, so did Steve, forcing him back against the counter.
“Why won’t you tell me?” Eddie was expecting some annoyance but as his eyes flickered up to the face that was so much closer now, all he saw was hurt, and concern -  creased brows and worry.
“I-... I uhm…” Eddie felt hot again. He swallowed and he was sure Steve could hear it. He wanted to look anywhere but at Steve but his eyes wouldn’t tear away. “I don’t-”
“I have ways of making you talk, you know?” Steve’s head tilted to the side again. The concern was fighting against something trying to take its place. And was that a smirk tugging on his lips?
“No, you don’t-” Before Eddie could even finish the words, the room was spinning. The coke slipped from his fingers as he yelped and it tumbled to the ground with a clatter. Blinking rapidly, he found himself looking down at two pairs of socked feet and the grubby tiles of the kitchen. “Steve- Agh!”
A noogie, really? They weren’t kids anymore. “Fuck off, man!” Was this his way of making him talk?
“I told you what I want.” This was certainly not how Eddie had imagined his night to go.
“Eat shit!” Eddie knew it was no use tugging on Steve’s arm. He was simply stronger. One thing Steve seemed to have forgotten was what happens when Eddie wants to get out of a headlock.
One hand slipped up his back so far as it could reach before moving to Steve’s exposed side while the other gripped onto Steve’s knee. It took him one second too many to realise what was about to happen. An indignant shriek, frantic giggles and a buckling leg later, the room was spinning again.
With a muffled thud, both boys hit the ground, their bodies entangled and piled on top of each other. Steve reached up to move his hair out of his eyes with a groan but was quick to snap his arm back down as vicious fingers formed a claw over his ribs.
“Nonono, Ed- Eddie!”
It seemed as though Eddie’s floodgates had been opened. The itch he had been denying to be scratched was gripping him, taking control of his hands as they seeked out the sensitive spots they remembered. One hand at his ribs, the other at his hip and Steve was howling.
Eddie had found a way to half straddle him and half lay on top of him, keeping him on his back despite his useless kicks and desperate protests. Steve’s free hand, the one not protecting his ribs, came up to grip at Eddie’s shoulder. Eddie figured it was an attempt to push him away but the laughter had Steve weak, as usual. So, of course he took his opening.
Steve’s back arched off the floor when the claw from his hip darted right into his armpit. He bucked his hips a couple times before his silent laughter rendered him useless. Only now did Eddie realise that he was laughing too, clearly enjoying his friend’s misery. His friend…
Eddie’s hands stilled suddenly and he moved to sit up, clearing his throat awkwardly. His whole body was burning, only this time he wasn’t sure if it was due to the proximity or the exertion. It didn’t matter. He moved to a crouch but before he could rise up, the room turned into a blur for a third time as something solid collided with him from behind.
With a grunt, Eddie landed face first in the worn down carpet beside the kitchen. Luckily, he had been able to catch most of his weight with his hands but before he got a moment to turn around and question the culprit, warmth settled against the back of his thighs. Eddie’s breath hitched and the counter attack began.
“Don’t think I’m done with you yet, Munson.”
Eddie was mainly surprised by the lack of breathlessness in Steve's voice, having expected him to take longer to recover. That’s all he really got to think about as those rapid squeezes focused right above the back of his knee, firing up the nerve endings all the way up his thighs. Not good. Very much not good.
“Fuck, Steve! Get off, I mean it!” He tried to sound as serious as he could but his own giggly voice was ruining that for him. Lucky for him, Steve hadn’t thought to pin him down or lay on top of him.
With a bit of a struggle, Eddie managed to flip onto his back, which ended the attack on his legs but opened up all the other spots he would have been able to protect otherwise. He wasn’t going down without a fight.
They grappled for a while, shouting for the other to give up while maintaining their own stubbornness. Steve got Eddie on his back more often, just because he was stronger. Eddie was more nimble, though. This time he brought one hand up between them, fluttering his fingers against Steve’s belly, where the fabric of his shirt hung loosely from his frame.
Steve yelped and flopped right on top of Eddie, who groaned quietly while still trying to get free and avoid the other’s questioning. It was useless.
“Why won’t you tell me?” They were the only words Steve had repeated over and over since the counter attack.
“Fuck off!” The heat in Eddie’s voice disappeared when a smile betrayed him, shoving at Steve to get him off.
“Tell me!”
“No!”
“Munson, tell me!”
“Why are you so stupid?” Eddie grabbed either side of Steve’s face-
“Well, that’s just m- hmb.” and brought their lips crashing together.
Everything stopped. For all he knew, Hawkins and all of the world had been swallowed up by the Upsidedown after all. But when Eddie finally pulled away again, Steve was still right there, staring back at him with wide eyes. The skin beneath his fingers felt hot, so Eddie released him and scrambled to sit up. “That’s why.”
He can’t help the bitterness that seeps through as he gets up, brushing himself off before heading back over to the coffee table. He slumped back down on the floor, staring blankly at his scribbles as he waited for Steve to run out or come over to hit him or anything. Anything would be nice. Out of all the options he had, Eddie would not have put ‘laughing his ass off’ on the list.
Except, that was exactly what happened. It started with a couple chuckles at first and quickly grew to full on hysterics. Eddie’s brows furrowed together in confusion. He couldn’t see the other boy from his spot on the floor. All he could see was a mop of brown hair on the floor just past the counter.
“Eddie!” Steve called out when he got enough air in his lungs but Eddie refused to answer, just watching the mop of hair move until he was fully out of sight. There was a groan and an attempt at composure before Steve came into view again. Slowly, he lifted himself to his feet, gripping the counter for support as the occasional wave of laughter still shook through him, making it hard to stay upright.
“Eddie.” Steve wiped at his teary eyes before spotting the other over on the floor, slowly staggering over towards him.
Eddie tried to remain as still as possible despite his trembling, hoping silently that Steve might not see him and just decide to go home. He continued to hope even when Steve was already coming to crouch beside him.
Eddie’s brows stayed furrowed, eyes slightly widened as he tried to see as much as possible in the dim light. Steve just stared at him with that goofy grin of his, the one he only wore when he had given up on trying to stop smiling. “What?” Eddie asked, trying to sound annoyed or at least impassive.
Steve blinked, his head tilting to the side like a curious puppy with his warm eyes sparkling in the dark. “You’re an idiot.” Before Eddie could ask what he meant, lips were against his again, softer and less forced than his but still eager.
Eddie couldn’t comprehend. Perhaps he was too high to comprehend and it didn’t matter. All he knew was that Steve hadn’t run out or tried to beat him up but rather came back for more. There were so many unformed questions swirling around in his mind, all of which he refused to acknowledge as he gripped onto Steve’s shirt.
A loud bang made the two fly away from each other. They looked around, panicked and confused before realising what had happened. Their eyes met and this time, both of them fell into hysterical laughter, gripping the other for support as tears filled their eyes that were impossible to hold back.
The can of coke Eddie had dropped had chosen that exact moment to explode on them, the carbonation bursting through the weakened seal that Eddie had fiddled with.
Almost symbolically, with the release of the carbonation, all tension between the two boys had vanished.

Too Sensitive for This (Steddie)
Fandom: Stranger Things
Characters: Lee!Steve, Ler!Eddie
A/N: Alrighty so this is my first tk fic that I’ve posted lol so plz enjoy and be kind :)
CW: Some swearing, slightly NSFW but not really tbh
Summary: Steve and Eddie finally get the time and privacy to spend some sexyyy time together, but someone’s sensitivities, per say, keep them from doing so
Eddie really liked kissing Steve. Like, a lot.
Kissing his lips was amazing, obviously. There was nothing he enjoyed more than making out with his gorgeous boyfriend. But Eddie wanted more. He wanted to kiss and worship every inch of his lovely body, pressing his lips to each and every one of the moles littered across his smooth, tan skin. He wanted to kiss every inch of him.
Eddie sat straddling atop of Steve’s hips as they passionately kissed, Steve’s hands tangled in the metalhead’s mess of curls. Their mouths moved together in a steady rhythm as one of Eddie’s more mellow rock vinyls played softly from his record player.
Tucking a stray hair behind Steve’s ear, Eddie lightly pressed his lips to the skin right below the lobe, making Steve seemingly shiver and eliciting a somewhat unrecognizable noise. It wasn’t quite like his usual whines and moans that he makes out of pleasure, it was something slightly different, almost like surprise.
Eddie decided to brush it off and continue to kiss down the side of Steve’s neck. He didn’t make the noise again, but Eddie was a bit puzzled by the lack of any noises at all. And apart from the slight jolt and subtle squirming that Eddie could feel from under him, Steve was being unusually still. Stiff, even.
Eddie pulled away, curiously eyeing the boy beneath him. His eyes were screwed shut and he bit his lip as if he was trying to keep himself quiet.
“You okay, Sweetheart?” Eddie asked, softly brushing his thumb across Steve’s cheek as the latter opened his eyes.
“Oh! Um, yeah definitely, of course,” He nodded quickly, offering a small reassuring smile. “I’m great.”
“Okay...” Eddie hummed, but couldn’t miss the soft pink hue dusting across Steve’s cheeks. He smirked inconspicuously before lowering his face back to the other boy’s neck. But instead of continuing his soft, slow kisses, he switched to peppering light, fluttery pecks across the skin of Steve’s neck, ears, and underneath his chin.
He could practically feel Steve begin to crack from beneath him, his body squirming and twitching to the point that he could barely hide it anymore.
“Fuhuck,” he swore, a subtle giggle slipping into his voice. When Eddie nibbled ever so gently on the small dip of skin right beneath his ear and behind his jaw, Steve couldn’t help but jerk, slightly, away from Eddie’s teasing lips. His hand suddenly shot up to grip onto the fabric of Eddie’s t-shirt as if he needed the support to steady himself.
Eddie let the small slip side, but not without kicking his devious antics up a notch.
Switching to pressing kisses to the other side of his neck, Eddie sneakily and quietly crept a mischievous hand underneath the hem of Steve’s polo. He could feel goosebumps spring up on his skin as he dragged his fingertips across his skin with a feather-like touch.
He felt Steve’s breath hitch, his stomach jumping inwards as Eddie traced his dull fingernails up his side. Steve’s grip on Eddie’s t-shirt tightened.
Eddie, face still burrowed into the crook of his boyfriends neck, could easily hide his growing smirk. Despite how stubbornly he held it in, Eddie could tell that Steve was ready to crack any minute now. Just the slightest push will surely send him over the edge.
All it took was a single curl of Eddie’s fingers into Steve’s stomach to break the damn.
“Eddieheh,” Steve practically whined, soft giggles now pouring consistently from his lips as Eddie softly scribbled his fingers into Steve’s abdomen, the attack on his neck persisting on top of it.
He squirmed and cringed away from the teasing touches as much as his position under Eddie’s straddle would allow him—which, unsurprisingly, was not a lot. He scrunched his shoulders in a poor attempt to deter Eddie’s impish kisses, but of course it was all too easy for Eddie to simply move to the other side when one was blocked.
“What’s so funny, big boy?” Eddie asked, pulling away and blinking innocently as if clueless. “I’m trying to be sexy here and I really don’t appreciate you giggling like this.”
“Screhew off,” Steve was somehow still able to roll his eyes despite his mirth. “You knohow what you’re dohoing.”
Eddie gasped in mocking offense.
“No need to be rude about it,” he jeered, pitching at Steve’s other side as punishment. He jolted at the new touch, his giggles starting to form into a fully fledged laugh as he lamely attempted to grab at Eddie’s fiendish hands.
“Ohohoh my gohohod,” Steve tossed his head back, his eyes squeezing shut as he gave in.
Eddie couldn’t help but let a warm, adoring smile bloom onto his lips as he gazed down as his laughing lover, taking in the sight for a moment longer before deciding to choose mercy. But not before lowering his lips to Steve’s neck one last time to blow a raspberry onto the hypersensitive skin that got him into this whole mess in the first place.
Steve practically squealed, his hands shooting up to Eddie’s shoulders to weakly push him away.
Eddie let out a soft chuckle as he sat upright again, looking down with a shit-eating grin as Steve finally got to catch his breath.
“You could have just told me you were ticklish, Stevie. Maybe I would have been more careful if I’d known.” Eddie teased before letting out a brief scuff. “Maybe.”
“Yeah, I’m sure you’re one to talk,” he goaded, swiftly giving Eddie’s ribs a quick squeeze.
Eddie squeaked, immediately rolling over to the side, knowing perfectly well he wouldn’t be able to hold his own if Steve actually fought back. That bag of worms can be saved for another time.
“Guess I kinda ruined the moment, huh,” Eddie turned onto his side to meet Steve’s eyes.
“Maybe,” Steve shrugged before shyly averting his eyes, “or maybe I’m just too sensitive for this.”
Eddie couldn’t help the doting smile that formed on his face as he beamed at his adorable boyfriend. He breathed out a laugh before grabbing Steve’s face and pressing a kiss to his forehead.
“You’re too cute for this, is what you are.”
Thanks for reading, hope ya enjoyed :)

Sweet Tattoo
Pairing: Steve/Eddie
Summary: In which Steve notices whenever Eddie gets bored, he doodles. Steve gave his own art skills a try, but it lead to something else.
Word count: 974
Tumblr media
“Reminding you this is the last doodle, alright?” Steve said while watching how focused Eddie’s gaze is on his arm, tongue poking out here and there from concentration. He colored in a certain spot, applying a bit of pressure on the skin to make sure the black pen ink doesn’t give up halfway. Then, Eddie snapped the cap back on before giving Steve a prideful smile.
“Thoughts on this new masterpiece?” Steve raised his arm up for a closer view of the demobats scattered around his entire forearm, almost an exact copy of Eddie’s own bat tattoo just near his elbow. Great detail, no tiny mistakes, and definitely badass. “It’s really cool, although I hope me saying that doesn’t get you to convince me to start another new doodle on my body like you’ve been doing for the past ten minutes.” Steve slightly lifts up his shirt to show Eddie all the pen drawings covering his entire stomach, in hopes the man gets the hint maybe Steve had enough of being Eddie’s personal canvas.
Don’t get him wrong, Steve loves Eddie’s small artistic side whenever he’s bored. The itch to doodle is strong for the metal-head, the rim of his converse covered in small drawings. Anything he can get his hands on, it’ll be covered in colorful ink soon. Steve, as you might’ve guessed, has fallen victim to this itch.
Steve didn’t mind at first, but he didn’t expect to be covered head to toe in Eddie’s artwork. He was more thinking maybe a cute smiley face on his palm, or stars around his knuckles. Y’know, something Nancy use to do when they were together.
“Oh please, you love these sweet tats drawn by me.” Eddie gave Steve’s bare side a quick squeeze, making him yelp before rolling down his shirt to prevent anymore attacks. Steve eyed the pen being set down on the bedside table, grabbing it as his eyes lit up from an idea popping in his head.
“Let me draw on you.” Steve said simply, catching Eddie a bit off-guard. He turns to Steve, pointing at his own chest. “Draw on me?” He repeats Steve’s sentence, a amusing grin forming. If there’s anything you’d like to know about Eddie, is that his love language is physical touch. Turning down such an offer, especially from Steve, is something Eddie can’t fathom.
“C’mon, let me have a turn. Lay down.” Steve’s tone almost sounded a bit demanding, patting down space next to him for Eddie to get all comfortable. Eddie breathed out a chuckle, putting a pillow under his head. “Oh? Yes sir.” He could not help but tease, earning an eye roll from Steve. A wave of cold air hits Eddie’s stomach, feeling the tip of the pen starting around his side.
Seconds go by in silence, Steve not kidding around by being determined this doodle comes out looking like the definition of perfection. Although Eddie began to have his doubts. “No hard feelings, but this doodle better not eat shit.”
“It won’t if you stay still.” Steve argued back, having to wait out the squirms Eddie does every few minutes. Eddie opened his mouth to give the twitching an excuse, but instead a giggly yelp poured out. Apparently, Steve circled the pen in a rather sensitive spot. This stopped the two in their tracks, making immediate direct eye contact. Steve smirking, Eddie growing nervous.
“Ticklish?” Steve asked innocently, but the mischievous growing smirk told a different story.
“No.” Eddie got on his elbows, ready to spring on his feet. The plan didn’t get really far, unfortunately, because Steve tossed the pen aside to scratch Eddie’s sides with his blunt nails. Eddie straight out cackled hysterically, letting it be heard from miles away. Steve was almost tempted to shush him, but it would be hard when your apparent worst spot is being exploited to it’s fullest.
Eddie thrashed violently, being close to accidentally knocking the wind out of Steve from the squirm of his legs. No worries, Steve helped out with that by sitting on top of his thighs, now easier to worm his hands everywhere on his torso.
“Stohop! You’re kihihilling ME!” His protest ended in a shrill squeal when he felt a firm dug in his ankles, but only because Steve was near being bucked off. This newfound discovery on accident did not get unnoticed, sadly for Eddie. “Don’t tell me your ankles are ticklish.”
Eddie quickly got ahold of Steve’s wrists, looking him dead in the eye. “Go for them and the second I’m let up, I’m gonna tickle the absolute hell out of you until I’m satisfied, pretty boy.” A threat. A playful one that meant zero harm but to only scare. Something that didn’t make Steve rethink his choices in the slightest.
“Too bad I won’t let you have enough energy for payback.” Steve unwrapped his grip on Eddie’s ankles, digging straight in his underarms as a form of surprise. He snapped his arms down in swift speed, spilling out giggly curses toward Steve that went through one ear and out the other.
“Sohomewhere else goddamnit!” Eddie wheezed out. Steve stopped, but wiggled his hands around to hint that his hands are stuck. Eddie hesitantly lifted up his arms, and in a second hands latched around his ankles. Scratching like there’s no tomorrow.
“FUHUCK! HOLY SHIHIT!” Were the last words before his laughs turned silent, cheeks tinted red. Taking this as a cue to have the fun come to an end, Steve rolled beside Eddie while removing loose curls away from his face from all the thrashing. “You told me to go somewhere else.”
“I fucking hahate you.” Eddie breathlessly giggled, greedily sucking air. A middle finger aimed towards Steve, but he takes the hand to plant tiny kisses around his knuckles and rings.
“You love me.”

First Snow
I think my mha hyper fixation finally died off a little bit and I recently watched Stranger Things for the first time so I’m pretty into that right now. Also a few weeks ago I reached a year on tumblr, big thanks to all of you for making me feel welcome 💛 But like always, I hope you enjoy! 🌻
Lee: Steve
Ler: Eddie
Ships: Steddie
~~
It was early December and it had gotten cold quickly. School had gotten out for winter break which meant Eddie and the kids were out. Didn’t mean too much for Steve. He got to see his boyfriend more often.
Steve didn’t like winter much. Didn’t like the cold or snow. So you can imagine his annoyance waking up one morning after staying the night at Eddie’s to find the half a foot of snow outside.
“Oh, great.” Steve groaned, as his only thought was how he had to drive home in this later. He laid back down, taking several seconds to realize that Eddie wasn’t there. Reluctantly, Steve left the warmth of the bed to go find his boyfriend.
He left Eddies room and to his surprise, Eddie was by the front door, slipping on a jacket and looking ready to trudge out in the snow. Eddie heard the floor shifting and looked over, smiling brightly when he saw Steve, “Good morning sleeping beauty.”
Steve responded with a groan as he approached. “Grumpy.” Eddie said quietly, but just loud enough for Steve to catch and glare at him.
“What are you even doing? You wanna go out in that?” Steve questioned his boyfriend, the grogginess from just waking up still present in his voice. In fact, everything about Steve said he would rather be in bed right now. The lidded eyes, messy hair, rumpled clothes.
Eddie just grinned. “Why not?” He shrugged, opening the door and making Steve shudder from the cold. “You wanna go with me?” Eddie asked, almost convincing Steve that this was something fun and not the frozen hell it was out there.
Eddie’s smile was met with sleepy eyes. “Suit yourself.” Eddie shrugged, not minding if Steve wanted to stay inside the warm trailer and go back to sleep. He went out, shutting the door behind him and leaving Steve standing there.
Steve quickly realized he felt incredibly uncomfortable standing in Eddie’s home without, well, Eddie. He groaned tiredly and went to put on his coat and shoes.
Upon getting outside, there was Eddie in front of the trailer, building a snowman. It was a little endearing. Once again, Eddie smiled when he saw his boyfriend.
“Stevie! You made it!” Eddie cheered, as if they weren’t only just in the same building mere minutes ago. Steve gave a tired smile as he sat on the front steps. He would leave the whole, playing in the snow to Eddie. And so Eddie continued with his slightly lopsided snowman.
Steve had managed to doze off a little, leaning against the railing of the steps while Eddie’s hands had turned to ice due to his lack of gloves. He was about to yell over to Steve about his minor predicament, but abruptly changed his mind when he saw him practically sleeping on the snowy front porch. Who was he to disrupt such a peaceful display of beauty?
Well… a little disturbance wouldn’t hurt. Eddie approached slowly, cringing when his footsteps would crunch especially loud from the snow. But eventually, he made his way over and sat beside Steve carefully.
Eddie looked him over a second, dark eyes landing on a small patch of skin, unprotected by Steve’s sweater and coat. He grinned to himself as he reached down, poking at the spot and watching Steve immediately jolt out of his small snooze with an undignified yelp.
Steve crossed his arms, looking at Eddie in confusion, “what?” He asked in confusion, a small flush on his face. Or perhaps he was just cold.
“My hands are cold.” Eddie said plainly with a deceptively innocent smile. Steve was confused to say the least. Or until Eddie raised his hands, wiggling his fingers menacingly.
“Oh, Stevie~” Eddie said in a singsongy voice. That was all it took to send Steve scrambling off the porch and back into the trailer. Eddie, of course, quickly followed.
Steve, however, stupidly cornered himself in Eddie’s room. It was just because he was tired, nothing else at all. Not because the threat of tickling made his brain short circuit, or that maybe he wanted Eddie to catch him just a little. Nope, not at all. Just a little sleepy. His stomach did flips when he saw Eddie turn the corner into the room.
“What’re you running from, pretty boy?” Eddie asked with a knowing grin. Steve shrugged, stumbling back onto the bed as he crossed his arms.
Steve watched Eddie nervously, but expectantly for a moment. He quickly averted his gaze when Eddie did approach though.
“Like I said, my hands are cold. I don’t know why you’re running away~” Eddie teased, slipping his hands under Steve’s sweater and pinching his sides with his icy fingers. Steve tensed and the plain expression he was fighting to keep on his face wavered slightly, the corners of his mouth pulling up a smidge.
Eddie grinned as he slowly pinched upwards, watching Steve squirm and slowly but surely fold in on himself. “Eheheddie.” Steve giggled, not sounding all that desperate to get Eddie off of him.
“Yes?” Eddie replied, reaching Steve’s ribs and rubbing the spaces in between. The snort that it ripped from Steve surprised Eddie, but he would be lying if he said it wasn’t one of the cutest sounds he had ever heard.
Steve wasn’t moving much, except for the occasional jerk of his legs. “yohoure hahahands are cohold!” He continued giggling, flinching when Eddie quickly pinched his shoulder blades.
Eddie snickered at Steve’s giggles. “Thats all? Just cold? Thats all it is?~” he teased, leaning down next to Steve and kissing his ear. Steve just slowly fell to the side, Eddie following him down.
Usually, Steve was one to fight back, and usually, it was easy as he was a little bit stronger than Eddie. But not right now. Right now, Steve was tired and it was cold. He just wanted to melt into his boyfriend and enjoy the warmth of the affection.
Eddie noticed because, by now Steve had usually turned the tables on him. But this was fine. It was more than fine. He pulled Steve closer, blunt fingernails skimming over Steve’s sides and belly. Light giggles and occasional flirty comments from Eddie filled the room.
The two eventually fell asleep again for another hour or so. Maybe it wasn’t so bad when it was cold out, if this is what it entailed now. When Steve woke up later though, fully energized, Eddie was given a healthy dose of revenge.

ok it’s finally here!! My first fic ever. I really hope I did ok, but if I didn’t, at least I have 30 more days to practice and get better! I also haven’t actually watched season four of stranger things yet, but I am OBSESSED with Steve and Eddie, so if this is out of character I’m sorry, I promise I have ships and fandoms I’m better at coming down the line.
Just do it Already
Tickletober Day 1- Anticipation (from @august-anon’s prompt list)
Fandom: Stranger Things
Ship: Implied Steddie (lee!Eddie ler!Steve)
Warnings: this is a tickle fic. If you don’t like that, don’t read it. There’s also capital text if that bothers you.
“GEHEHEHEHET OHOHOHOHOFF EHEHEDEEHEEHEEDY.” Ever since Eddie had found out that Steve was ticklish he hadn’t given the man even a second to rest. Every little annoyance, each tiny infraction, resulted in a tickle punishment for Steve. Not that he really minded Eddie pinning him down and touching him all over, but that was a box he was NOT ready to unpack. Eddie loved tickling Steve, loved how happy he looked, loved his cute smile that refused to disappear until hours later. And while Eddie was thinking about all this whilst wrecking Steve on the floor of his trailer, admiring Steve’s usually perfect hair getting all messed up, he wasn’t paying attention to Steve’s hand as it found purchase on Eddie’s side and squeezed. Eddie jumped off Steve with a yelp, eyes widening as he wrapped his arms around his torso and scooted backwards. Steve, out of breath, panted, “Ohoho what have we here, Munson? I am SO going to get you back one day,” before getting up off the floor, ruffling Eddie’s hair, and walking away. Eddie was left there on the floor, unsure of what had happened. He grimaced, because now STEVE FUCKING HARRINGTON KNEW but something clawed at his stomach, something that almost felt like disappointment. What the fuck? Why did he almost WANT Steve to wreck his shit? And so it continued. Every time Eddie hung out with Steve, Steve would sneak a poke to Eddie’s stomach or a squeeze to Eddie’s side. Every time Eddie would jolt and brace himself, but no further touch came. It was driving him CRAZY. He knew Steve was going to tickle him properly. He could see it in his eyes, see it in his smirk every time Eddie jumped and yipped at his touch. Steve was messing with him. Eddie knew that, but FUCK it was working. Eddie was vibrating with nervous energy every Steve came over (which was nearly everyday now, not that Eddie was complaining). Every time Steve reached by him to grab something, butterflies filled Eddie’s stomach. Sometimes, when they were talking, Eddie would find himself gazing at Steve’s hands. How diligently they could tear him apart, how nice it would feel to have Steve’s hands running over his skin, how nice the relief would finally feel. He needed to laugh dammit. He needed to laugh under Steve. “Dude. Are you ok? You’ve been starting off into space for like, 10 minutes.” “Shit. Sorry. Zoned out.” Eddie tried to play it off like it was nothing, and he failed miserably. “Not listening to your BEST FRIEND when he’s talking? How rude,” Steve chastised, although his smile betrayed that his words held no real malice. Steve slowly climbed on top of Eddie, straddling his waist. “Maybe I need to teach you to be more respectful,” he continued with a wink, slowly wiggling his fingers at Eddie. Eddie blushed furiously. It was here it was here it was here oh my fucking god-“nononono wait Steve don’t,” said Eddie’s mouth, while his brain was screaming PLEASE WHAT’RE YOU WAITING FOR JUST DO IT ALREADY. “What’s the matter Eddie? Ticklish?”. Eddie looked Steve square in the eyes, “….no..” “Reeaally?” Steve laughed incredulously. “So it won’t bother you if I just..” he trailed off, wiggling his fingers just inches above Eddie’s ribs. Eddie was squirming violently, trying desperately to buck Steve off, to get himself closer to those hands just out of reach, honestly he wasn’t really sure. All he knew was that he needed an end to this limbo, it’s unbearable please someone just- “FUCK STEVIE NOHOHOHOHOHAHAHAHAHA” “Not ticklish, he says,” Steve teased, but Eddie couldn’t make out whatever he said next, because Steve’s hands were on him and god it was amazing and he kind of wanted to punch Steve and he kind of wanted to kiss him. But god, he really just wanted him to KEEP DOING THAT. And if it was obvious that Eddie kind of definitely loved it, well, fuck it. Who cares, it’s just Steve. His Steve.

Scream
CW- tickling, use of pet names (princess)
Tumblr media
"Oh my fucking god Harrington, make that noise again!" Eddie had just found out a very interesting quirk about his boyfriend, you'd think after a year of dating he couldn't have hidden something like this but here they were. Wrestling on the Harrington's living room floor, laughing alongside each other because Eddie had discovered Steve's weak spot. All he did was wiggle his fingers under his arms when his boyfriend was reaching for something from the top shelf that he was just a little to short to grasp. "Scream for me again princess, come on! I don't wanna have to tickle you worse. Or do I?" Eddie teased with a smirk. His boyfriend curling up into a ball to protect himself from Eddie's wandering hands, he wouldn't complain. Obviously not. Any physical affection from Eddie Munson, his long term crush made boyfriend was a god sent gift.

Don’t You? (Eddie/Steve)
Summary: Steve is more observant than people give him credit for, and Eddie isn’t hiding his need for affection very well. (Based on a lovely prompt from my lovely friend @nhasablogg who suggested some Steddie with the quote “You like this, don’t you?” and I had to pop off and write a full fic instead of a drabble. Anyway, I hope you enjoy! it)
Steve Harrington had never claimed to be smart. He scraped through high school by copying from other students and charming his teachers, and he often felt like common sense managed to escape him. However, contrary to what some may have thought, he wasn't oblivious either. When it came to emotions, he was incredibly intuitive and found himself picking up on the smallest quirks in other people.
Steve could tell when Robin was putting up a front for people she wasn't so close to, forcing her body to be still and her mouth to stay shut. He could sense the relief in her when they were left alone and she could drop the mask and continue her ramblings in peace.
He knew that if Dustin didn't forcibly control the radio in the car, he was distracted by his own thoughts and didn't want to sing along. Nancy quit biting her nails years ago, but when she was especially anxious, she fell back into the habit. Max hummed Kate Bush beneath her breath when she needed to feel safe.
Lately, he had started to notice these things about Eddie. The jokes he cracked to diffuse tension, the way he fiddled with his rings as a distraction. As he spent his time learning Eddie Munson, there was one particular thing that he couldn't get off his mind.
Eddie seemed to lean desperately into every touch, like a drowning man grasping for the shore. It would have been adorable if it wasn’t also sort of sad. While Wayne seemed like a great man, he didn’t strike Steve as the overly affectionate type, and based on what he knew about the rest of Eddie’s family, he figured that hugs were not a very common occurrence.
He had grown up similarly, grasping for affection in the form of friends or girlfriends, trying not to seem as desperate as he felt. So, having been in the same place, Steve would never deny Eddie a bit of platonic affection. The only issue was, his feelings towards Eddie were straying closer to crushing territory, and he didn’t quite feel ready to unpack that.
So, Steve compromised. He gave hugs, shoulder pats, and playful shoves, but was careful to not linger too long, knowing it would only send blood rushing to his cheeks (and possibly elsewhere, if he wasn’t careful). But it broke his heart to see the disappointment in Eddie’s eyes when the touch retracted.
Dignity and pining aside, Steve figured it couldn’t hurt to dial it up a notch.
And that was how he wound up on the floor of Eddie Munson’s trailer, grinning like mad as the guy that most of Hawkins feared laid beneath him, giggling like mad. A quick jab to the side had sent Eddie jerking away as if electrocuted, and Steve wasted no time in pouncing.
The two of them went sprawling to the floor, a mess of flying limbs and giggling, for once, acting like the age they truly were.
Eddie wasn’t weak by any sense of the word, but he was less athletic and still giggling like mad, making it easy for Steve to pin him to the floor and tickle his sides with vigor. The giggles quickly turned to real laughter, loud and uncontrollable.
As Steve switched between squeezing his sides and poking at his belly, he picked up on something else. Eddie didn’t seem to be fighting back. Like, at all.
Normally, when Steve tickled anyone, he was met with playful resistance, begging, and the occasional injury. Robin babbled out pleas for mercy, Dustin kicked as though his life depended on it, and Nancy had once bruised his jaw with a flying elbow. But Eddie just…took it. He squirmed, sure, but that was just a natural reaction. No words of protest had left his lips, only laughter. And his smile was not a forced grin, but rather a genuine beam of childlike joy.
“You like this, don’t you?” Steve asked, stopping his tickling and instead leaning his face close to Eddie’s ear.
Eddie’s cheeks turned red. “What?” he asked, his voice breathless and pitched much higher than usual. “Of course I don’t.” If he were aiming for nonchalance, he was failing miserably. Steve could practically feel the nervous energy radiating from the man beneath him.
Steve hummed. “I don’t believe you,” he replied. “You’re barely fighting back. I mean, you haven’t asked me to stop once, and you could fight back, but you’re just grabbing at your hair instead of trying to push my hands away.”
Eddie’s face was an odd shade of crimson that Steve couldn’t imagine was normal for the average person. He seemed at a loss for words, which was rare for someone who talked so goddamn much. Not that Steve minded, though. It was cute, all his rambling. God, he was really becoming a fool for Eddie, wasn’t he?
“Hey, I’m not making fun of you,” Steve said, sensing that Eddie’s embarrassment was straying into actually upset territory and desperately trying to wrangle it back to cute, playful teasing. “I mean, it’s fine if you do.”
Eddie huffed out a laugh, basically a scoff, but he had stopped denying it.
Then, Steve decided to tell him something that he’d never told anyone before. “I don’t mind it either, you know. Like, it’s sort of fun depending on who does it. Ever since Robin found out I’m ticklish, I haven’t known peace, and like, I could tell her to stop if I wanted and she would. But it’s fun for both of us, so I don’t. So, basically, if I’ve misread and you aren’t having fun, I’ll stop right now and never do it again. But if you’re having fun, I won’t tease you about it anymore.”
Those already big brown eyes somehow widened further as Eddie squirmed. Steve had a hunch that talking about feelings and secrets wasn’t something that he was used to, so he didn’t pry, he just let him figure out what to say next.
“You don’t have to stop,” he said after a moment.
Steve grinned, and resumed his attack on Eddie’s belly, making him bark out a surprised laugh. Once again, his intuition hadn’t failed him, and he was feeling indescribably giddy.
He didn’t expect Eddie to try and fight back after that flustering talk, and so he was taken entirely off guard when Eddie suddenly managed to sit up and push Steve back against the floor, clambering on top of his thighs and grinning like a maniac.
“Since you gave that sincere, adorable little speech, I figured I had to return the favor,” Eddie said, shooting him a wink before latching onto Steve’s sides and letting his fingers dance across his thin t-shirt with the precision only a guitarist could have.
And if Steve wasn’t laughing so hard, eyes squeezed shut and mouth falling into a helpless grin, maybe his intuition would have told him that the way Eddie looked at him, soft eyes and fond smile, maybe he would realize that Eddie totally had a crush on him too, and maybe he would make the first move and kiss him, right then a there, on the floor of his trailer.
There had been enough confessions for the evening, though, and the tickle fight left them both breathless and delighted, and Steve found himself smiling the whole drive home.

Fandom: Stranger Things
Characters: Steve/Eddie
Summary: Steve tries to confess to Eddie that he likes being tickled.
Words: 900
It was almost poetic, the way the sun spilled into the room that July afternoon and lit Steve up where he sat on Eddie’s bed, nearly like a spotlight. He truly did feel exposed, trying to figure out what to do with his hands, where to rest his gaze. Eddie wasn’t the worst audience - in fact he sat there patiently, kindness in his very bones - but despite how many times Steve had rehearsed this speech he still found the words stumbling over his tongue and refusing to come out right.
“I just-” He paused, swallowed, restarted. “Maybe you’ve noticed that, uh-” Inhaled, restarted. “You know this thing you do.” His only full sentence made almost no sense.
“Thing?” Eddie, bless him, did his very best to not smile, although his struggle was very visible to Steve who would love to put his attention anywhere but on his confession.
“You know.” There were many things Eddie did, Harrington. “How you- torment me?”
“With tickles?” It wasn’t necessarily a miracle that Eddie could figure it out just from that, since Steve always said he liked tormenting him after he’d reduced him to an incoherent mess. “Sure.”
“It, uh-” Made him so fucking happy he was putting himself through the torture of saying it aloud just so Eddie never took his protests seriously enough and stopped doing it? He couldn’t say that. No way.
“It what?” Eddie tilted his head at him now, curiosity laced in the way he batted his eyelashes, in the way he raised his eyebrows. “Am I doing it too much?”
“No, no.” Truth was he probably was, but Steve, being an addict, needed it even more. “I- is it hot in here or is it just me?”
Eddie reached out and grabbed the hem of Steve’s shirt, fingertips nudging his neck and making him recoil ever so slightly, but all Eddie did was pull at it. “Maybe go for a tank top. I can lend you one.”
“It’s okay,” Steve said, because he knew that if he allowed Eddie to get up and walk away he would never try to speak of this again. “I, uh. Well. You know. How you torment me?”
“Yes, we’ve established that I’m terrible for tickling you,” he said with a laugh. “I can stop.”
“No.” The word had left his mouth much too quickly for Steve to register it was even forming on his tongue.
Eddie raised an eyebrow. “No?”
“Uhm.” What the fuck was he supposed to say now? “I just-”
“Do you like it or somethin’?”
Steve’s heart skipped a beat and he looked away. He could lie. He could say no. Say he simply enjoyed the intimacy of it all. Say he enjoyed laughing. But while all of it was true it missed the key part of it all: that he liked it, period. Liked the whole experience of it.
“I do.”
He wasn’t sure what he expected Eddie to do. To ask questions, to get up and leave, to call him gross. All he knew was that he didn’t expect him to let out a low laugh, reach out to gently squeeze his knee and say, “I know, I’m just messing with you.” But he did do exactly that.
“What.” Steve’s word was barely a question at this point. “You mean to tell me I’ve been sitting here trying to confess like a moron and you already knew?”
“You make me sound mean when you put it that way.” Eddie shrugged. “But yes. Of course I knew. Why do you think I keep doing it?”
“God, I hate you so much.”
“Awe, but you were just confiding in me. Of course you don’t hate me.”
“Stop grinning at me.”
“I can’t help it when you’re so endearing.” Eddie tried to pinch Steve’s cheek, but he slapped his hand away. “You don’t want me to touch you? You don’t want me to tickle your belly to pieces right this second?”
“Shut up.”
“Pin you down and make you say out loud how much you like it?”
“Oh my god, you wouldn’t.”
“Watch you blush and stutter.”
“Eddie, I swear to god.”
Eddie softened, reaching out to run his hand over Steve’s hair. “I wouldn’t do anything you didn’t want me to. And thank you for telling me. You know I’m just messing with you.”
“You love teasing me,” Steve mumbled, leaning into the touch. “So mean.”
“I enjoy flustering you, I do admit.” He moved his hand down, cupping Steve’s cheek. “And I won’t tickle you until you ask me to.”
“Oh my god, you are mean.”
“I would call it considerate.” Eddie trailed his hand down further, fingertip moving from his throat to his chest to his ribs to his belly. “Just say when.”
Of course Steve said when, quietly, awkwardly, breathlessly, and Eddie had him pinned immediately, fingers curling over his skin and not stopping. Steve started begging for mercy out of habit, but he knew he would die if Eddie stopped now. Luckily for him Eddie must’ve realized it, for he merely used his other hand to squeeze at his thigh, over and over and over until Steve nearly bucked him off the bed. “Fuck!” he cried, and Eddie laughed as well, purring out a “Yeah?” which had Steve blushing to his roots.
He wouldn’t have it any other way.

Even If
Fandom: Stranger Things, Steddie
WC: 1.5k
A/N: Dedicated to @veryblushyswitch thank you for motivating me to get off my ass and finish this :) I think the fic kind of jumps around, probably because I wrote it so sporadically, but I still hope you enjoy!
The thing was, Steve knew he was being ridiculous. The logical side of his brain was well aware that his feelings didn’t make sense. But, over on the emotional side of his brain, Steve’s abandonment issues were going into overdrive.
It started with Claudia Henderson, of all people. On a brisk fall day when Steve and Eddie had stopped at Dustin’s house to drive him to the arcade, Mrs. Henderson came bustling out of the house with a small potted plant in her hand.
“Eddie, dear,” she called, “I saw this at the garden center the other day and it made me think of you,” and she thrust the potted plant to Eddie through the van window.
It was obvious to anyone who looked at the weird plant why it reminded her of Eddie - the leaves were spiky and dark green, with bright pink veins running through - the plant’s whole vibe was fuck around and find out. It was altogether about as metal as a plant could get. It made sense that Mrs. Henderson would think of Eddie and only Eddie. Or at least, that’s what Steve tried to tell himself, as a traitorous part of his brain whispered, She didn’t get one for you because she doesn’t think of you as anything but her kid’s babysitter. You’re such an insignificant part of her life that she barely remembers you exist when you aren’t right in front of her.
Steve shook off the voice and turned toward his boyfriend, who was wearing an oddly touched expression on his face. Later, he would tell Steve, “No one has ever seen something and bought it just because it reminded them of me.” And that brought up a whole other insecurity of Steve’s, that he was a shitty boyfriend, and he kicked himself for not buying Eddie things like that himself.
The plant, which Eddie named Bridget after frankly too many days of deliberation, took up residence on the trailer’s kitchen windowsill. It was pretty cute, the way Eddie religiously watered the thing every morning, filling a small mug and gently drizzling it into Bridget’s pot. There was something about the ritual that calmed Eddie, and Steve was happy he found joy in taking care of it.
One day, Eddie came bouncing in the trailer with a library book on botany, grinning adorably. “Guess what, Stevie! Plants grow better when they listen to music! Music, Steve, isn’t that so wild?” He ghosted a hand over Bridget’s leaves and hummed, blowing the plant a gentle kiss.
“That’s cool, Eds,” Steve said, a small smile pulling at his lips. “Did you want to go and get some dinner?” It was date night, and it was Eddie’s turn to pick what they did.
“Actually, Stevie, I was thinking we could stay in tonight? I want to play Bridget this song I’ve been working on.”
The logical side of Steve’s brain knew this was a reasonable request, that Eddie had had a long week and probably just wanted to keep the evening low key. The emotional side, which had been taking the wheel more often than not lately, hissed that this was Eddie’s way of letting Steve down easy, that he didn’t want to spend time with him.
That he would literally rather play music to a non sentient plant than to eat dinner with Steve.
Steve worked to keep his emotions off of his face, but apparently didn’t do enough because Eddie cocked his head at him and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Steve shrunk into himself. “Nothing. I’m fine.”
Eddie squinted at Steve. “Hmmmm. Nope. Maybe if you were trying to convince one of the less emotionally intelligent brats, but I know you. What’s wrong?”
Steve wrapped his arms around his torso. “It’s stupid.”
“Okay,” Eddie shrugged. “You’re allowed to be upset about stupid things. But if it has anything to do with me I would like to know because despite all the shit I give you, I don’t enjoy making you actually upset.”
Steve sighed, and looked up at the ceiling, trying to find a way to string the feelings inside of him into a coherent sentence. Eddie didn’t rush him, just took a seat on the other end of the couch, and waited.
“I know I’m being ridiculous. Like, part of my brain knows that you’re my boyfriend and you lo… like me enough to keep me around. But I guess… I just wonder when you’ll get bored with me,” Steve trailed off.
Eddie’s face was doing something that Steve didn’t know how to read, so he hurried to explain, “I mean, when are you going to find something like Bridget that you decide you would rather spend your time on? What am I going to do when you inevitably find someone who, like, actually understands the nuances of DnD, or fully appreciates thrash metal, or fucking… doesn’t have capital T trauma from all the Upside Down bullshit?”
Eddie reached out and gently took one of Steve’s hands in one of his own. “Stevie. Baby. I need you to listen to me,” he said, his stare so intense that it made Steve’s insides do flips. Eddie took a deep breath, and gave a soft smile. “You are not a placeholder. You are not someone I keep around just until I find someone… ‘better’ for me, Jesus H. Christ. I don’t want to date some DnD nerd who loves metal and is all untraumatized and boring. I want Steve Harrington, the guy who listens when I talk about DnD and asks questions about my campaigns, the guy who lets me play my metal tapes in the car even though I know there’s probably a thousand other things he’d rather listen to, and one of the only other people on fucking planet earth who knows exactly what I went through during Spring Break. You’re it for me, babe. I’m here until you tell me to go.”
Steve blinked. Swallowed. Blinked again. “Oh.”
Eddie snorted, “Wow, Harrington, I pour my heart and soul out to you and that’s your response?”
“No! I just - I mean - I don’t know what to say,” Steve stammered. “Nobody’s ever… really said something like that to me before.”
Eddie’s smile turned soft again. “Well, I’ll say it however many times it takes for you to believe me.”
“Even if it takes a while?”
“Even then.”
“Even if it takes forever?” Steve asked with a nervous smile.
“Even then.”
“Even if I forget sometimes?” His grin grew, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
“Jesus, yes, even then,” Eddie said with a good natured eye roll.
“Even if -”
“You know what, smartass? Yes, whatever you’re about to say, even then.”
“But what if -”
“That’s it!” With a feral grin, Eddie pounced, knocking Steve sideways onto the couch. Steve knew that grin, and started giggling nervously before Eddie even touched him.
When Eddie dug his fingers into his underarms, however, Steve’s giggles turned to cackles. Eddie would be the first to admit he wasn’t always the best at reading people, but even he could tell that Steve’s laughter was downright delighted. Eddie thought he might melt at the realization that Steve was absolutely craving this.
That didn’t stop him from protesting though. “Eddie, Eddie, no no no nononono,” he pleaded as Eddie spidered his hands down to Steve’s sides. Eddie smiled as Steve desperately shook his head back and forth, grinning big enough to light up a goddamn castle.
“What’s wrong? Thought you wanted my attention,” Eddie teased. “Is it in the wrong spot? Do you want my attention here?” He wiggled his fingers down into the dips of Steve’s hips. “What about here?” he reached down to squeeze at Steve’s thighs. Steve howled, and Eddie, not wanting to end this so soon, walked his fingers back up to Steve’s tummy. Soft giggles replaced the echoing laughter, and Eddie couldn’t help but coo at him.
But then Steve was reaching toward Eddie’s wrists with a new determination. Instead of pushing Eddie away, however, Steve looked pointedly at the ceiling as he placed Eddie’s hands towards the backs of his ribs.
Eddie was going to die from how cute his boyfriend was.
“Baby,” he cooed, flexing his fingers just once to make Steve arch his back. Eddie drummed his fingers on the backs of Steve’s ribs, and Steve tensed in anticipation. He bit down on his smile when Eddie leaned over and pressed a gentle kiss to the tip of his nose. “You’re too much,” Eddie said, and squeezed.
Steve absolutely shrieked before descending into wild laughter as Eddie scratched at the space between his upper ribs and underarms.
“This better, baby?”
Steve’s ears went pink, but he nodded through his laughter anyway.
Sensing that Steve was near his limit, Eddie slowed his hands until they just rested on Steve’s ribs. Leaning in close, he pressed a kiss to Steve’s forehead.
“I think you might be my favorite person,” Steve whispered.
“Oh yeah? You gonna tell me that every day?”
“If that’s what it takes.”
“Even if -”
“Oh god, don’t you start.”

Mystery
a/n: will admit i’m not in my peak era atm, whether in writing not mentally so please enjoy this tiny crumb i have provided (also tagging @nhasablogg for funsies)
(Stranger Things; Steve/Eddie)
983 words
Nothing in his life could have prepared Steve for the amount of discoveries he was still going to make, even after officially asking Eddie to be his boyfriend. Or did Eddie ask Steve? Neither of them could remember that well, and regardless, it didn’t matter.
The only thing that did matter right in that moment, was that Steve was trying to get to sleep and Eddie had been hindering that very thing for almost the past two hours.
“Eds?”
“Hm? Oh. I thought you were asleep.”
Steve let out a groan and propped himself onto his elbows so he could glare at the one sprawled out beside him.
The Harringtons had left Hawkins on a ‘business trip’, which meant that Steve’s house was going to be empty for a few days. It also meant that any sleepovers were being moved from the Munson trailer and Eddie's cramped twin bed to Steve’s luxurious queen.
Perhaps it was the fact that Steve’s mattress was softer and less lumpy, or this neighbourhood always fell eerily quiet at night, or the missing hum of a nearby fridge. Or that Steve didn’t allow Eddie to smoke in the house under any circumstances. Whatever it was, Eddie always had a hard time winding down.
Once he was asleep, he slept like a baby. It was just getting him to be still enough to get to that point.
“I would be asleep if you stopped moving every ten seconds.” Steve wanted to be annoyed but when he looked at Eddie, all of it melted away. Those dark deer eyes stared at him all innocently, headphones pushing back tousled hair and a collection of doodles filling some scrap paper. Clearly Eddie had been trying to occupy himself.
Steve shook his head with a defeated little sigh before dropping his head to Eddie’s shoulder. “You’re a menace. What’re we gonna do with you, hm?” Soft lips met warm skin just where the cut-off sleeve revealed Eddie’s shoulder.
“Do with me? How about we start on the things you could do to me?” The smugness of his grin made it all the way to Eddie’s voice.
Steve laughed, shoulders shaking briefly as he lifted his head again. “Oh, yeah? Anything among that list that would tucker you out, perhaps? Cause that’s what we really need right now.”
Eddie just smirked, propping a hand behind his head once he had set his headphones aside. “Oh, most certainly.”
There was an expectant pause. “Okay… You’re not gonna tell me then?” Steve’s eyebrows rose slowly.
“Hm, I don’t think I will. Have to keep the mystery alive somehow after all these years, don’t I, Stevie-boy?”
Steve rolled his eyes, mainly to distract from the way his cheeks heated up whenever Eddie called him anything but his name. “Always so dramatic,” he muttered mostly to himself, placing a couple precise pinches near the other’s hip.
Immediately, Eddie’s arm shot down again with an audible gasp, hand catching Steve’s but it was too late. A full attack was already under way and nothing was going to stop it.
Steve ended up laughing along as Eddie writhed beneath him, and relished in the yelps and protests that came from vibrating digits between his ribs. “Was this anywhere on your list?” he asked, a playful glisten on his face. “Cause if not, it definitely should be.”
Eddie just let out a string of insults as a reply before being interrupted by his own shrieking laughter again. It wasn’t until a little later, a gentle claw fluttering over his belly and Steve’s face buried against his neck, that Eddie’s resolve seemed to run out.
The prickling of Steve’s light stubble against his sensitive neck had Eddie in a giggling fit, forcing him to breathe a little heavier. Until, out of nowhere, a desperate moan escaped.
Steve froze and time stopped. As Steve slowly lifted his head, Eddie was staring quite forcibly up at the ceiling. His face was almost emitting light, it was burning so much and out of the corner of his eye, Eddie could see how Steve was tilting his head to the side in question.
“Please don’t tell me you heard that,” Eddie got out, voice barely over a whisper as he squeezed his eyes shut. Unfortunately that also meant he missed how the look of Steve’s face changed from one of delight to curiosity to pure mischief.
“Oh, but I did,” Steve replied in a low rumble. A smirk already tugged on the corner of his mouth when Eddie’s reaction was simply to whimper. “So, was it the neck or the belly?”
Eddie groaned loudly, slapping both hands over his face to hide the growing burn before giving a muffled reply.
“Huh? I didn’t quite catch that.” Steve’s fingers twitched ever so slightly, which had still been resting against Eddie’s stomach. Lightning fast, Eddie’s hands came crashing down to grip onto Steve’s. “Both! I said ‘both’, you dick!”
Steve laughed, a full toothy grin on his face. “That’s what I thought you said.” They grappled with each other’s hands for a bit until Steve put an end to it by pinning them above Eddie’s head. “Ready?”
There was something incredibly flustering about having Steve practically inches from his face, fully excited to explore this new facet of Eddie’s many quirks without any judgment or hesitation.
After almost an hour of exploration, they’d discovered that it wasn’t only those two specific spots that could draw out such a reaction from Eddie. Also, Steve found himself getting almost equally as excited on his end. But most importantly, they were both tuckered out by the end of that hour.
As they curled into each other, both with still a hint of a smile on their faces and a glowing warmth coming from their chests, Steve had only one single thought: Turns out, Eddie was the mystery keeping them both alive.
