~Each one of us can make a difference~ ~Together we make change💫 ~barbara mikulski~ This is the first sighting of a Stallion & his Mare, that I saw, after the Palomino Buttes gather, in August. I have been going over there every time I go over to the Steens. I hadn't seen any horses until this last time, I saw these two. I actually thought maybe the blm had rounded up all the horses...I didn't see any others & have since learned that this mare has two youngsters, a 2021 colt & a 2020 filly. They were nowhere in sight. Unfortunately this mare is on the skinny side & may be pregnant again (for I did witness the two copulating) Personally, I hope not, I'm worried she won't make it thru the winter. I only wish I lived closer to the Palomino Buttes HMA, so I could possibly help her better. Another unfortunate fact; is that there is sparse grass out there... I plan on calling the, Burns BLM @publiclandsoregon to see if there is anything they can or willing to do. I think about this girl every day. I can't get her out of my mind & I feel compelled to help her as much as I'm able to. I shall update on their situation & in the meantime please advocate for all the beautiful Wildies of the World! They all need our voice! The public lands should be their lands, not to be shared with privately owned, cattle & other livestock.
