Clach Steinragaidh.
A single standing stone close to Tràign Mhòr on Harris, historians can't agree on whether this was part of a "circle" of sorts, like Callanish on Lewis, or not. It reminds me a wee bit of The Caiy Stane in Edinburgh, but it doesn't have the "cup" marks Caiy does.
If you ever visit here, head down to the beach, Tràign Mhòr, with it's great sandbank.

1st Feb 2023
The entire trip around the Gump was made with the aim to see this stunner! After watching Enys Men at the Poly, there were too many jokes to be made about meeting a celebrity. The entire Hike meant I was the only one out there for the majority of the day. Cornovia has dissapointingly little to say on Boswens' Menhir, but it's name is from Cornish & is translated as 'the winds dwelling', which is very cool. It definitely lived up to that - the wind was certainly bracing.

Celtic Mythology | Devorgilla
Dervorgilla came from Norway and was a stranger in Ireland. She had listened to so many tales about Cú Chulainn that she decided he would have to be her only love. She left Norway accompanied by her maid alone. To accomplish the journey the both changed into swans and flew to Lough Cuan in Ireland. Cú Chulainn and his brother wandered near to Lough Cuan and on seeing the swans they decided to…
