Hey chat . I watched the Steven universe movie in its entirety for the first time .

I !!! Love spinel , though I have a lot of issues with the way her story ended , I don't think she should have been shipped off with the diamonds . The diamonds need to learn to let go of pink , and idk . It just reads as the wrong place for Spinel to heal .

So this design , is an au in which . Spinel becomes aware of that . She doesn't feel like she's actually healing in this environment , she feels like she's kept around solely as a reminder of pink , and that begins to eat away at her .

I imagine she would experience a lot of the same things Steven did , especially given the diamonds flat out say "you remind us so much of her" , they may project their expectations of pink onto spinel .

One day spinel will snap , have enough , and tell the diamonds they need to let go of pink . They'll realize all the pressure they've put spinel under , and then ask her what she wants . In that moment , spinel will say she wants to go back to earth .

When she arrives back to earth , she doesn't tell Steven or anyone she's back . She silently searches for a purpose alone , and she finds one !

Happening upon a daycare , the kids take to her quickly and she begins to entertain them . The daycare attendants see this and offer her a job .

So she lives in the daycare as an attendant , taking care of the kids , hearing them laugh and seeing them genuinely smile brings her a feeling fulfillment she hasn't had in over 6000 years .

Rules !

1. Anyone is allowed to expand on this au .

2. Do not ship attendant spinel with Steven , pink diamond , or rose quartz

3. Only ship attendant spinel with adults .

4. Nsfw is ok as long as it's kept in adult spaces , far far FAR away from minors .

the idea of this Crossover AU pop into my head today, so technically the Crossover AU was “born” on June 11, 2022...

I guess for now it can be just a concept...

I did talk about ideas about it in the post before making a drawing about it.

the form that Spinel has in this, is a third form she takes when she’s in the Mega Pizzaplex.

this could also be the form that Sunny/Moony first meet her in, as she could of already had poof again when she, Freddy and Gregory got separated again.

this version of Spinel takes her time in making her new form, and takes maybe until a hour to finish, which would be by the time Gregory ends up in the Daycare.

Spinel ends up forming a Protective Maternal Instinct because of Gregory,

and she acts as another protector for him.

at least she does in a Crossover AU.

the idea is that after the events of Steven Universe Future, Spinel comes back to Earth wanting to visit Steven but hears he had already left Beach City.

she then decides to go look for him, but she ends up at the Mega Pizzaplex.

she ends up getting her form destroyed while all the families were still in the Pizzaplex, Gregory ends up finding her gem and hides with it inside of Glamrock Freddy, and when Gregory comes out of his hiding place, and has the gem in his hands, the said gem starts to glow and float in the air and Spinel reforms.

keeping the same appearance she first appeared in the Movie and later on in Steven Universe Future.

the third form that shows in this drawing, doesn’t happen until later on during Gregory and Spinel going around the Pizzaplex.

 not sure if Sunny or Moony would become a Love Interest for Spinel,

I mean even if the drawing here might imply that but ideas can change.

Spinel is suppose to look “older” and have one ponytail instead of two like she had with her other two forms.

not sure if I will draw this version of Spinel again, but I still like the idea of a Crossover that has to do with Spinel ending up in the Mega Pizzaplex and acting as another guardian for Gregory.
