all i'm saying is that spectral sightings belongs in a turn of the century ghost story more than in the 21st century because of the spiritualist craze. insidious would be so improved if it was a period piece. elise as an eminent american medium and specs and tucker as her two goons that are helping revolutionize parapsychology. that's all.
I've watched Insidious for the first time recently and it was so much fun!! I fell in love with Specs (is anyone surprised?), and couldn't pass an opportunity to make a silly little edit of this silly little man to a silly little song, so, enjoy!
[so, do you guys do this kind of thing often? the ghost hunting?] all the time. yeah, it's actually all we do. we literally don't do anything else. just this.
[ID: 8 circular matching icons of specs and tucker from the insidious movies. in the first 6 icons, they're wearing their matching spectral sightings uniforms; in the last 2, tucker is wearing a graphic tee, and specs is wearing a black varsity jacket with casper the friendly ghost embroidered on the chest. the first icon shows specs looking towards the camera with a worried expression, listening to someone speak; in the second, tucker is also listening with a neutral expression, holding a half-eaten snack in one hand. in the third icon, tucker is sitting diagonally to the camera, looking off-screen with a slightly nervous expression; in the fourth, specs is looking in the same direction with a scared expression, his face lit up by a screen and light reflecting in his glasses. in the fifth icon, specs is sitting side-on, looking forwards with a serious expression; in the sixth, tucker is sitting facing the camera, looking to the side with a sceptical expression, his sleeves rolled up and his right arm crossed over his body. the seventh icon shows tucker looking down at a piece of technology in his hand; the eighth shows specs looking over his shoulder at the same tech. all of the icons' backgrounds have been edited to be in black and white. /End ID]
I wanted to draw him for this prompt SOLELY bc I love his pjs so much, and then they proceeded to be torturous to draw. It's okay though bc now I can open my sketchbook and just stare at the gamer skull pjs and feel happy
[Image ID: A traditional drawing of Steven "Specs" Fisher from the Insidious movies. The drawing is done in black and blue pens and green and blue highlighters. Specs is a young white man with dark hair. He wears a set of button-up pajamas which are dark blue with a pattern of green, blue, and white skulls all over it. He is seen from above, laying down and sleeping on his side. One hand is under his pillow and the other is on his black notebook, which is next to him on the bed. His glasses are sitting folded next to his face on the pillow. Lying next to him on the other side is his pair of seance headphones: bulky headphones with a thick tube connected to them to transfer sound. There is a small doodle of two little ghosts in the corner and the piece is shaded in blue. End image ID.]
