League should make a skinline with a Broadway musical theming. No idea how it would work, but my vision is clear. I think.
Honestly a skinline with a Phantom of the Opera (the Broadway one) aesthetic would be rad as fuck cause honestly this:
Tumblr media
This is epic. Damn even a Cats (THE BROADWAY ONE not the movie) would have a nice aesthetic inside the game.
Tumblr media
But you know what they made? DRAGON SKINS. SIKE.

please write satine/siri/obi-wan oh my gosh!!!
- Types -
Satine was not a jealous woman.
There were a few things that were very unbecoming of a Duchess. Jealously was certainly one of them, and she had always been very keen on keeping her emotions - especially one so negative - in check. After all, jealousy never helped anything.
Really, she should be jealous of Siri Tachi. The galaxy had presented her with perhaps the only other person Obi-Wan Kenobi had ever harbored some form of feelings for.
But the other woman was so polite and welcoming that she had a hard time hating her.
That too would be rather unbecoming.
In light of recent years, specifically the rekindling of their romance, she had learned not to doubt his feeling for her. They were as genuine as hers for him despite the circumstances being what they were. It was clear to both of them that they would never have an orthodox relationship, and that at any given point the universe could force them apart, but for now they were making die with what they had been given.
“This is Siri.” He had said when she arrived at the Senate building. He had explained how she had been on a months long excursion on the outer rim with her former master, and that she had only just returned.
Clearly they were quite good friends.
“Pleasure to meet you, Master Tachi.”
The other woman had smiled; a grin so warm that she couldn’t help but smile back.
“The pleasure is mine, your grace. Obi-Wan often talks about the era of peace you brought to Mandalore. A noble accomplishment.”
Something flutters in her chest and for a brief moment she wonders just what he says about her when she isn't around.
"Thank you, truly. It means a great deal to have supporters of my cause. The senate often isn't."
Siri glances over at Obi-Wan, eyebrow raised in amusement, "You certainly weren't lying," She looks back to Satine, "He had told me you were very firm in your efforts to stay out of the war."
She recalls a conversation they had during their year on the run. Obi-Wan had told her about the feelings he once had for Siri. He and the other Jedi had been friends since they were children at the temple. More than once during their training with their respective Masters did they end up working together. Somewhere, he had said, the mutual admiration and respect they harbored for one another grew into something a bit more.
But they were young then. Much too immature and focused on their futures to ever allow it to go farther than mutual affection. Becoming Jedi was much too important to the both of them to ever jeopardize that chance.
She didn't know what it said about herself knowing that he almost gave it all up to be with her.
Siri tucks a lock of sandy hair behind her ear and for a moment Satine has to refrain from laughing. It didn't take much to recognize that Obi-Wan has a type, if their blonde tresses and blue eyes were anything to go by.
"I've found you have to be in the midst of wartime."
Something flashes across the other woman's eyes for a moment; the slightest tinge of sadness at the mention of the war. It seemed she too was less than supportive of the ongoing violence.
She really would never be able to dislike this woman.
Siri reaches out towards her, gripping onto her hand and giving a reassuring , "Your efforts do not go unnoticed by us who want to protect the galaxy; I do hope you know that."
In another life perhaps - whether she been born a Jedi or Siri been born a Mandalorian - they would have been friends.
Satine smiles, "Thank you, master Tachi."
Siri nods respectfully, "Its been a pleasure to finally meet you, but if you'll excuse me, I have to go prepare for a departure with the 313th legion soon."
The Jedi master turns to walk away, but stops herself before she takes another step and looks to an unusually quiet Obi-Wan. A look is passed between them, an expression that only the two worn torn Jedi would be able to understand. Satine knows it's a message she'll never be able to read; a secret understanding between two fighters battling a war.
Siri reaches her hand out and places it on his shoulder. Even from the few feet of space between them she could make out just how firmly her fingers gripped on to him.
"Take care of yourself Obi-Wan."
Obi-Wan nods and places his hand on top of her own, squeezing it for a fraction of a second, "Be safe, Siri."
Satine watches as Siri makes her way down the hall and away from them. She wonders, briefly, if her affections for Obi-Wan still lingered within her. Her heart aches for the other woman at the thought; she too knows how hard it is to walk away from him.
"Would you like me to escort you back to your suite, Duchess?"
His voice pulls her out of the trance she found herself in and suddenly she realizes that they're still in the Senate building, surrounded by people less than privy to their entanglements.
"I suppose I can allow it."
Her offers her his arm which she graciously accepts. It felt right; her hand wrapped around the crook of his elbow while he lead her through the winding halls of the building. If she tries hard enough she can make herself believe they're strolling through the halls of Sundari palace, free from the constraints of their duties.
Reality swiftly moves in though.
"I like her." Satine finally says as they step into the elevator.
"People like Siri are rare," He says, "She's very pure of heart; something that's hard to find in times of war."
"I see why the two of you get along so well then." She notes. Obi-Wan was as altruistic as they come, something she too found to be a rarity.
"You're a rarity too."
His gaze falls to the floor. if she looked closely, she would be able to make out the blush hidden behind red stubble. Even now, years later, he still reverted back to a nervous Padawan when paying her a compliment. She would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy his nervousness.
"As are you, dearest."
He looks up just as the elevator doors slide open and grins at her before leading her gently into the hallway. She had long since dismissed her guards upon their arrival, stating that she was more than well protected while inside the Senate provided suites.
In reality it just made sneaking him in much easier.
He shuts the door behind them, and she's already working on unraveling her hair from it's ornate hair piece.
"She's very fond of you, you know." She comments.
His expression is hard to read; a mix somewhere between curious and confused.
"Siri and I have known each other for a long time," He says, walking closer to her, "She's certainly saved my life a time or two. I'm rather grateful she was at my side at times."
"Well then I too am grateful," Satine says, smiling at him, "I rather like having you around."
Obi-Wan laughs before pressing a kiss to her forehead. She tries to visit Coruscant as often as she can, though never as often as she would like. It had been almost half a year since they had seen one another.
Satine stands on her tip-toes and catches his mouth with her own, smiling against his lips.
"I feel compelled to point out that you, Obi-Wan Kenobi, certainly have a type."
He abruptly pulls away from her, "I beg your pardon?"
She cups his face between her hands and laughs, "It's not by sheer coincidence that every woman you've ever had fancied are blue eyed blondes; and I have a feeling Master Tachi is just as steadfast in her convictions as I am."
She really should not like the woman.
He lets out a deep breath and she suddenly realizes that he had been nervous since the moment she ran into them.
"Siri is a valued ally friend," He finally says, taking one of her hands in his own and bringing it to his lips, "But I do hope you know that whatever affection I harbored for her in my youth is nothing more than respect and admiration now, and there's certainly only one person I fancy in all the galaxy."
Trusting Obi-Wan was never a difficult decision for her. She trusted him with her life, heart, and soul. Even in the fleeting moments of insecurity she felt in the other woman's presence, she knew Obi-Wan would never intentionally do anything to harm her feelings. Or Siri's, for that matter.
"You're in luck then, Master Kenobi," She whispers, draping her arms lovingly around his shoulders, "Because I very much fancy you too."
He kisses her again and everything feels okay.
-----
Note: While I do love fics with Satine being a bit jealous over her Jedi Knight, I also think that Satine 100% would be down with supporting other women and not being petty because her man had a crush back when they were kids.

Best War Movies to Watch: A Complete Streaming Guide
https://ift.tt/32Bbpxh
Sadly, the human race has pretty much never not been at war. We remain an ever violent, combative crew. Hopefully one day that’ll change and we’ll enter an era of unprecedented peace. Until then though, we have the movies!
War might be hell, but war flicks can be pretty great at times! Armed combat and all the other various theaters and forms of battle makes for high-octane drama and gripping backdrops. And that’s pretty much exactly what we are looking for out of our drama films.
What follows is a (mostly) comprehensive list of all the war movies available with a streaming subscription on the major streaming services. If you’re interested in paying per movie, options like Amazon, Google Play and YouTube should help broaden the field. Otherwise, scroll below because the films here are all free with a log-in subscription to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, or HBO Max.
‘71
Available on: Hulu (US), Amazon Prime Video (UK)
An underrated British thriller from the last decade, ’71 turns “the Troubles” in Ireland into a pseudo-horror movie. At a mere 99 minutes, this is lean, economical filmmaking with a barebones premise about a British solider (Jack O’Connell) who gets separated from his unit during a Belfast riot in 1971—the height of British-Irish tension. His plight to survive the night is riveting filmmaking and a grim look back to still fresh nightmares.
The African Queen
Available on: Amazon Prime Video (purchase only in UK)
An unlikely war movie at first glance, The African Queen is very much the story of two middle-aged people caught up in the chaos of the First World War. It’s also a crackling adventure yarn about autumn romance between a drunken river boat captain (Humphrey Bogart) and a Christian missionary (Katharine Hepburn) who’s brother was just killed by Germans in colonial Africa. Both set out to get down the river, and away from the Germans’ reach, in this charming John Huston classic with still stunning location photography.
The Alamo
Available on: Hulu
As an ironically little remembered version of the Alamo siege from director John Lee Hancock, The Alamo (2004) is still the best film version of these events. With a refreshing eye for historical authenticity instead of Texan mythmaking, the movie unpacks the lives of David Crockett (Billy Bob Thornton), James Bowie (Jason Patric), and William Travis (Patrick Wilson) with a warts and all approach. It also relays the events of the battle in its actual context at night, and in grim chaos, and gives needed attention to the overlooked contributions of the Tejanos to Texan independence.

But most significantly, it has a bittersweet soul as expressed in Carter Burwell’s score, which is at its most beautiful when Crockett climbs a parapet to serenade both sides of the battlefield with his fiddle.
A Bridge Too Far
Available on: Netflix (US Only)
The last of its kind, A Bridge Too Far is one of those old-fashioned all-star war epics about World War II that came into vogue between the 1950s and ‘70s. But this nearly all-British production is not about one of the Allies’ greatest triumphs, but rather one of their most disappointing defeats: the failure of Operation Market Garden in the Netherlands.
Director Richard Attenborough and screenwriter William Goldman try to squeeze it all in, which will honestly be exhausting to some viewers. For others, seeing a historically accurate (if too lighthearted) rendering of this battle with the likes of Sean Connery, Michael Caine, Gene Hackman, Anthony Hopkins, Ryan O’Neal, Robert Redford, and more will be enough.
Casablanca
Available on: HBO Max
Another Bogie movie where the war is adjacent to the central conflict, Casablanca is the best wartime melodrama ever produced. Some even consider it the greatest American movie for that matter. Actually made during the Second World War, there is a great rush of patriotic idealism and anxious uncertainty about its vision of a seedy Moroccan city that is ostensibly under free French rule, but is not-so-secretly being occupied by the Nazis. There everyone goes to Rick’s, a café run by a disillusioned American (Bogart) who sticks his neck out for nobody.

But Rick must soon pick up the fight again after an old flame named Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) walks into his gin joint, bringing with her a French husband, a freedom fighter who has the Nazis breathing down his neck. All three are going to make some tough choices, as will complicit French police officer Louis (a marvelous Claud Rains) as the forces of World War II finally start pulling.
Cold Mountain
Available on: HBO Max
An attempt at an old fashioned sweeping wartime epic, Cold Mountain still brings modern historical insight to the oft-mythologized Civil War. The film is about several people from North Carolina’s Appalachian region. Like many Confederate soldiers, particularly from NC, Inman (Jude Law) has no slaves and no real reason to fight for the Southern cause. So after hellish battle, he deserts and attempts to make a sprawling trek back home.
Elsewhere, however, his sweetheart Ada (Nicole Kidman) must make hard decisions of her own with the leering eye of the Home Guard peeking over her shoulder, especially as word of Inman’s desertion reaches the mountains. An odyssey of the Civil War from the vantage of the impoverished it rolled over, Cold Mountain is a refreshing melodrama.
Da 5 Bloods
Available on: Netflix
Spike Lee’s latest joint is also one that opened up wounds from the Vietnam War that never really healed. Set more in the 2010s than 1960s, Da 5 Bloods follows four Black veterans who’ve ostensibly returned to Vietnam to find the remains of their fallen brother (Chadwick Boseman in one of his final roles). But they’re also here to reclaim gold that was stolen back in ’69.
Something of a heist movie, Lee mixes genres yet never loses sight about the anguish of those who fought in a war, and the legacy it leaves even decades and generations later.
The Dirty Dozen
Available on: HBO Max
Even if you haven’t seen Robert Aldrich’s epic 1967 adventure, the term “dirty dozen” and the basic premise of the movie have found their way into popular culture over the decades and influenced recent movies like Suicide Squad.
A grizzled (as if there’s any other kind) Lee Marvin leads a team of prisoners–including Ernest Borgnine, Charles Bronson, Jim Brown, John Cassavetes, George Kennedy, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland and more–on a suicide mission during World War II, with full pardons as their reward if they survive. The results are explosive and, at the time of release, controversially violent. They also make for one of the great war movies of the era.
Enemy at the Gates
Available on: Netflix, Amazon (US Only)
Sniper versus sniper; eagle versus eagle. That is the basic appeal of Enemy at the Gates, the rare Hollywood World War II drama where America is not even present. Rather this is a film about the war of attrition between the German and Russian forces at the Battle of Stalingrad, the nightmarish conflict which began turning the tide against the Third Reich. The movie features an all-star cast, including Jude Law, Ed Harris, Rachel Weisz, and Bob Hoskins, but it’s the chilly environs of hell on earth which make this worthwhile.
Five Came Back
Available on: Netflix
A film told in three parts, Five Came Back tracks the singular, and now fairly astonishing, choices made by five A-list Hollywood directors: John Ford, Frank Capra, George Stevens, John Huston, and William Wyler. They all chose to leave Hollywood either at the peak of their careers, or at the beginning of it, to make films about the Second World War. Each ultimately served as an officer, and several were in the actual thick of combat to capture war footage (and propaganda) for the first time in history. It was a patriotic and revealing choice then and now, and it’s examined with insight by the likes of Mark Harris and Steven Spielberg here.
Flags of Our Fathers
Available on: HBO Max
Not as good as director Clint Eastwood’s companion film told from the Japanese perspective, Letters from Iwo Jima, Flags of Our Fathers is nonetheless a worthwhile film. A rather skeptical look at the lives of American marines who were turned into an inaccurate legend by the U.S. military when they were photographed raising the American flag above the sands of Iwo Jima, the picture tracks the home lives of soldiers who did their job only too well and were then asked to return home as glorified heroes… and then live an ordinary American life.
The Four Feathers
Available on: HBO Max
One of the great British adventure films of the pre-war era, The Four Feathers is director Zoltan Korda’s sweeping reimagining of the A.E.W. Mason novel. Set during Britain’s colonial wars in Egypt and Sudan during 1882, the film tracks an English officer who only took a commission in the military to honor his family’s ancient war record. However, when the call of war comes, he fears he would not do his duty in battle and resigns his service… so his three friends and even a fiancée give him four white feathers: white for cowardice.

To redeem himself, he travels to Sudan and helps the British cause while posing as a local. Filmed on actual African locations and in glorious Technicolor at a time when American movies were afraid to leave California, The Four Feathers is a classic (and politically incorrect) throwback.
Gallipoli
Available on: Amazon
Australian filmmaker Peter Weir has directed just 13 films, but probably 10 of them are classics, and this 1981 drama is one of them. A 25-year-old Mel Gibson stars as one of several young men who enlist in the Australian Army during the First World War. They eventually find themselves on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey, site of a costly and lengthy battle that ended in defeat, but marked a turning point for Australia’s perception of itself and its place in the world and a seemingly disinterested British Empire. It’s a harrowing tale about the loss of innocence, national character, and the price of war for both.
Glory
Available on: Netflix (US Only)
Arguably the greatest film ever made about the American Civil War, Edward Zwick’s Glory continues to shine like one gallant rush. Based on the lives of the 54th Massachusetts Infantry regiment, the film tracks the hard fight for respect—and freedom—endured by the first African American regiment in U.S. history.

The 12 Best Civil War Movies

With a still crackling ensemble that includes Morgan Freeman, Matthew Broderick, Andre Braugher, and Denzel Washington in his first Oscar winning role, the movie both mythologizes and humanizes the 54th’s struggle as the American struggle. It also soars with James Horner’s most transcendent and ethereal musical score.
The Great Dictator
Available on: HBO Max
The rare comedy on this list, The Great Dictator was a film of political courage by writer-director-producer-and-star Charlie Chaplin. Filmed in 1940 when much of the world was already at war, but the United States was not, this Hollywood film made a farce out of the hatred and fascism of the Third Reich, with Adolf Hitler being especially skewered.

Inglourious Basterds and the Immortality of Revenge Cinema
By David Crow
In the film, Chaplin plays both a fictional barber and Hitler-like dictator who switch places in a Prince and the Pauper styled mix-up. Chaplin thus makes a still hilarious deconstruction of Hitler’s madness and insecurities at a time when most Hollywood studios chose to pretend there wasn’t a war going on. The film also concludes in one of the greatest anti-war speeches in cinema history.
Hacksaw Ridge
Available on: HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video UK
The rare film that is told in merely two acts, director Mel Gibson’s World War II drama is fairly underrated. The film follows the remarkable true story of Desmond Doss (Andrew Garfield), an unlikely U.S. Army corporal since he was also a conscientious objector who refused to hold a gun. Nearly court-martialed for his defiance of orders, as a medic Doss insisted he could serve his country well by saving lives on the battlefield. He got his chance at the Battle of Okinawa when he pulled 75 lives out of the carnage, which is captured in grisly detail by Gibson. Likely the bloodiest WWII movie since Saving Private Ryan, Hacksaw Ridge is also one of the best.
Hamburger Hill
Available on: Amazon Prime Video (US Only)
This 1987 film set during the Vietnam War recounts one specific mission: a 1969 assault by the U.S. Army’s 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division, known as the “Screaming Eagles,” on a well-fortified North Vietnamese position near the Laotian border. Dylan McDermott, Don Cheadle, Courtney B. Vance, and Steven Weber all make early career appearances in the film as young soldiers thrust into a situation where victory almost seems more like defeat—as good a metaphor for the Vietnam conflict as any.
Hostiles
Available on: Netflix
Director Scott Cooper did the rare thing with Hostiles: He looked back at American history with nuance and sincere contemplation. This film is ostensibly about a U.S. Cavalry officer on his final mission, which is to escort a family of Native Americans across the last remnants of American frontier. But when that officer (Christian Bale) knows he’s escorting the dying Cheyenne war chief (Wes Studi) who led the doomed side of American Indians in previous conflicts—and alongside a woman (Rosamund Pike) who just lost her family to Indian attacks—the ghosts of America’s sins and recriminations walk with them.
The Hurt Locker
Available on: Hulu, Netflix UK
The film which won Kathryn Bigelow the Oscar for Best Director, The Hurt Locker is the first great movie about the War on Terror in the 21st century. Boiling down the madness of war to being like “a drug” for some soldiers, the film essays the high-stake tension—and adrenaline—of being an officer in the Army’s bomb squad who is responsible for disarming IEDs, bomb vests, and other hidden weapons of death.
It’s terrifying… and exhilarating as personified by Jeremy Renner’s addicted Staff Sgt. William James. Also with a career-making performance by Anthony Mackie and a pseudo-journalistic script by Mark Boal, The Hurt Locker gets under your skin.
Platoon
Available on: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video (US Only)
There were plenty of Vietnam War movies before Oliver Stone’s Platoon, but what shook audiences in 1986 is that this was the first time one was made by a Vietnam veteran. Not that Stone didn’t take liberties: He makes his soldier’s eye view of the generation-defining conflict a fever dream of America’s darkest moments in the shit.

But his lament for the soldier also brought a renewed sense of sorrow and regret to how veterans were treated in the aftermath. With a heartbreaking supporting performance by Willem Dafoe, whose demise in the film has become iconic, there’s a reason for many this remains the only Vietnam War movie of consequence.
Red Tails
Available on: HBO Max
Here is executive producer George Lucas and director Anthony Hemingway’s well-meaning but so-so aerial war epic about the Tuskegee Airmen. The real-life Black pilots, mechanics, bombardiers, and more made up a segregated flank of African American airmen (as well as flyers from Haiti, Trinidad, and other Caribbean nations) in World War II. This film attempts to honor them with a cast that includes Terrence Howard, David Oyelowo, Nate Parker, and Cuba Gooding Jr.
War Machine
Available on: Netflix
David Michod (Animal Kingdom) wrote and directed this Netflix satire set during the ongoing war in Afghanistan, eight years after the 9/11 attacks. Brad Pitt stars as four-star general Glen McMahon (loosely based on real-life general Stanley McChrystal), whose bleak assessment of the situation on the ground puts him at odds with President Obama and others. Like other less-than-reverent films before it, War Machine is interested in the sheer insanity of war: doing the same thing over and over again while hoping for a different outcome.

Virginia Lee
My mom came into this world on November 11, 1922. She loved that she was born 11/11/22. And she loved that it was something genuinely unique. That it held all the axioms of synchronicity.
She often proudly told the story of when she was born, how she was so tiny the doctor’s did not expect her to live. As a last resort, a last ditch effort to save her life, the doctor gave my mother horse serum. Apparently that was a thing. And when she made it through the night, the doctor came in the next morning to tell her mother and father that miraculously she was gaining strength. He said to her parents, my grandmother Eulalia, and grandfather Daniel, ‘this little girl is a fighter’ …That she was.
She was born into an era that included the great depression. She lived through a world war, and so many incredible changes that the 20th century presented its almost unfathomable. Some of which she out right rejected, others she eventually either accepted or adopted. Her first microwave oven was used as a bread box for years before she agreed to learn to use it properly. She was the original, ultimate minimalist. She saved wax paper, rubber bans, bread bags and aluminum foil. She abhorred the idea of just throwing things away after one use, which culminated in receiving food gifts wrapped in layers wax paper, encased in at least two bread bags, held tightly together with six rubber bans. She was also a vitamin freak and insisted on a well balanced diet. We were not allowed to leave the house without drinking orange juice that was kept in as air tight a container as possible, so as not to lose its rich life giving force. She detested impracticality. We’d by her gifts to make her life easier but she would eventually admit to one or another of us, ‘Its so unnecessary, I don’t need it’ ‘I’ll never use it. My old (fill in the blank) works just fine’ etc.
I thought she was the most gentle person ever to touch her feet to this earth. And I believed she couldn’t possibly love anyone as much as she did my brother’s and sisters and I, until she met her grandchildren. My mother held an extraordinary amount of love in her heart for each of them.
She found her spiritual path in the love and devotion she exhibited towards her family everyday of her life, and to every person she encountered, with few exceptions. She prayed for all of us everyday. Harder if she thought we were in special need, a heart was aching, someone's health was in question, a soul was at risk… or you spent time in bars which is the same thing…  so yeah, she prayed a lot.
My mother was one of 11 children born to Daniel and Eulalia May. When you come from large families such as ours, you can spew out the names of your offspring or siblings in successive order as if it were one name. For my Mother’s family it was
BobDorthyVirginiaMaryRitaBillLoraineDaveDanBarbaraTom. And by the time my mother was 14 years old, she was a mother to her 8 younger siblings, as her mother was rarely well. She never complained about that role. She loved her brothers and sisters and was devoted to their care. She loved each of them and their individual take on life. She was very proud of the life they each garnered for themselves and their children. She was happy to see them living in a world less harsh than the childhood they endured. She held an extraordinary capacity of love in her heart for each of them. And she took their needs on without the least bit of resentment or regret.
My mother’s family moved 17 times in her years at home. In a family with six gorgeous women you can imagine the stir it caused within each neighborhood they were adopted into. They were the May girls. With their flowing red, auburn and black heads of hair, their Miss America smiles and that undeniable May sense of fun loving humor. To say they were gregarious almost doesn’t do their personalities justice.
My momma was beautiful, physically and spiritually. She loved her life. She was radiant in the outdoors and pushed us daily to be out in the fresh air. She was athletic. Mom made the varsity field hockey team as a freshman. She never drove a car and so walked everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Which may explain the athletic prowess of her children. As toddlers, when the newest sibling took over your spot in the stroller, we had to run along side her to keep up. Although she only stood four foot eleven, she had legs that moved incredibly fast. This tiny, feisty, determined woman walked everywhere and loved every minute of it, so it was hard on all of us to see the loss of that freedom in the recent months when her health finally took that joyful ability away.
According to my mother, the advent of television was humanities downfall, and she was determined to get us children out of doors in the fresh air. She loved picnics in the park and spending time in our large back yard (‘you can’t find a back yard like that just anywhere’). She took us places on busses when my dad did not. We rode to the Art museum, Steinberg, downtown, the Muny free seats, all of forest park really and of course Cardinal Glennon Hospital. A place I believe they new her by name. She made sure we learned to swim, rode bikes, and spent as much time as possible at Jamieson park. She ensured we ran, play ball of any and every kind. All of which we each embraced and learned to love. And to this day we, each of us appreciates her love of nature, because she instill that same love in each of us.
We woke every morning to a good, most often hot breakfast. We were not allowed to escape without first downing a glass of orange juice. Our nutrition was high on her list. Good food on our plates was something she did not often have as a child and often went hungry. I think she is the only person I know who actually did walk uphill to and from school…in worn-out clothes and ill fitting shoes. So to my mother, giving your children what you didn’t have meant that we had everything that was important. Sometimes more, but never less.
She made Christmas Eve our best family celebration every single year. And the tradition goes on today, and will never fade if most of us have our way. It was one occasion that brought us together without fail with all of our clashing personalities, boisterous voices, our loud laughter, and our undying competitive spirits. And an occasional cartwheel from Uncle Laurie. It wasn’t always easy. It was always crowded. And nothing gave her greater joy than to see us all hugging and joking and telling stories, especially if they were about her. She never once let us for a minute question her deep abiding love for us, and she laced all of it with her Irish, indelible May family sense of humor.
My mother was hilarious and she’d be the first one to let that be known. Her sense of humor was one of her great attributes and oh so contagious. My mom instilled in us a basic truth, that one can get through any hardship with prayer and an ability to laugh at ones own foibles. Besides, they made for better stories. And she was the ultimate storyteller, often laughing harder than everyone in the room. She’d sometimes be laughing so hard you couldn’t make out the punch line. And she loved a good practical joke. She once turned off the kitchen lights and laid herself out on the floor, playing dead, to scare my brother Scott, after he and my brother Chris had just spent an hour telling my sisters and me scary stories in the dark. Stories and antics that made us scream with fear and laughter, except maybe Laurie. She screamed alright but then burst into tears….of course…Because Laurie cries at everything so, grain of salt. But man she got him good. And laid there on the floor laughing so hard her belly shook.
She had the most contagious smile. Broad and genuinely warm and engaging. Her laugh was the most incredible music I’ve ever known. If she was telling you a story that she found particularly hilarious, it was all she could do to get the words out as she could hardly breathe. In those moments it didn’t matter that you might not be able to understand her, her joy was a gift.
She made our life so amazing. Nine kids in a 2 bedroom house with a 1/2 story attic big enough for 5 girls to share, like a dorm room. A finished basement where we could roller skate when it rained, or play ping pong or pool and a room that held a zillion board games, blocks, bats, balls, snow suits and boots, a record player, dart board, and the electric trains we set up every Christmas. She taught us to play cards, and never complained when we turned up the stereo or radio when we girls were doing dishes, or dad was out of the house.
She pitched whiffle balls, set up our croquet game or let us use her clothes line for badminton or volleyball. She let us dig in the dirt, play with the hose when it was hot, had my dad build us a sand box and a swing set. She taught us how to cross stitch and made paste with flour and water to stick our construction paper cutouts together. She was unstoppable. She was the ultimate mother. I am who I am today because on 11/11/22, the day God took his wand and cast stardust across the universe and breathed life into my sweet sweet mother, the tiny infant that was not expected to live. She fought for her own life and that of her children and grandchildren with love and prayer and sheer determination. She fought with a deep love for life and heart felt prayer from her soul, for each of us.
The last day she was awake, she gave me a message to pass on to her children. It was a moment I will never forget for the remainder of my own days, and worth repeating often.
‘Tell the children I said goodbye.
Tell them that I love them so much.
Tell them to be good to their mother’s and dads, they love them so much
I love them so much’
I said, I promise momma, I love you so much
She said, ‘I love you more.’…I love you more. How could I ever argue that.
Addendum:
Since the funeral, I have wanted to finish my acknowledgments of the remainder of my siblings that I did not mention at church. Sorry, I lost if after Peggy…
To:
My brother Christopher Dennis, for all the quiet stoic patience that my mother instilled in you. I remember how you always got on your bike and ran errand for mom as a kid. How you took on babysitting duties and made those times fun for us. How you rarely, if ever, complained about life in the middle of 9 kids. How much joy you gave her with the attention and love you gave to our brother Mark. It made her so happy. Mom loved you so much and I could always see her appreciation of you and your gentle way of being. When I look at you, I see that part of her in you.
Mark Joseph, wish you could read and understand me so I could tell you how incredibly much she loved you. Words could never convey.
James, I’m happy she is finally able to bestow all of herself on you now.
Carol Lee. Mom loved you so so deeply. She worried about you constantly, and was so grateful to be able to be there for you in the hard times you suffered from a disease doctors knew very little about in your younger years. She was always so happy to hear your sweet voice on the phone, and to know you were okay. I know she hated leaving you. Thank you for always staying so closely connected to her.
Laurie Lee. She thought she was finished having her passel of children, but as she was apt to reminded you, she decided she had room for just one more, and that was you. I love how much you loved her. How you kept in contact with her and worried about her. You were her last and she enjoyed spoiling you with her time and attention in the years when you were the last be at home with her before grade school. She always noted your generous heart, and you are more like her in that way than many, you just cry more…then again maybe not. She was so proud of you and how hard you worked for the sisters. You are so devoted to your own family, and working for the nuns is almost as good as having a priest for a son…, but not quite so don’t get a big May head about it. Lucy I am so grateful to have been there, to bare whitness, as you, her youngest child, knowing this would probably be her last meal bravely spoon feed her, through tears of course, that last bit of ice cream. I will never forget it.
Finally I come to Scott David. This one, will get to me the most. I spent many hours over my lifetime watching my mom with her own struggles, for her strength to take care of her brood with little sleep, for her ability to keep going after a particularly difficult day with the Bear, which were many, to fight her own depression from being overwhelmed with the enormity of the load she bore everyday from the sheer logistics of her life. But you Scottie were my hero in that. You could make mom laugh with just a one liner as you came barreling through the door. You were a true angel in mom’s life and therefore all of our lives. You brought her more joy with your own May sense of humor than all of us put together. You made her day, everyday that you were near her, and for that I could never repay you. I relished every single moment of watching you, with your quick and whitty sense of irony, make her laugh, make her smile, make her silently giggle. Thank you for all the Johnnie Carson nights you spent with her. I enjoyed watching the two of you at that hour more than any other hour of the day, because you could always bring her relief with your own joy of life. Thank you for all the practical jokes you put up with from her. They were the best and I was always on board with being in on them. You as much as mom taught me that with a humor, everything, no matter how difficult, can be made better, could be eased. I can never find the words to express how much hope you brought back to us when you lifted her spirits. Thank you for giving her so much joy. I don’t know what she would have done without you in her life.
Love you Momma,
Theresa Lee

You've probably be asked this a thousand times, but why do you like Knock Out and Bumble Bee together so much. What makes them an OTP for you?
Alright let your captain tell ya! Now i’ve probably forgotten some points here, for some reason i’ve never written this down maybe i should. Also i’m not a good writer, my wording might be bit clanky but i’ve written these down straight from my mind, uncut thoughtsFirst of all, they’re adorable like no question. They’re both adorable individually and together they just double the trouble. But here’s deeper reasons
- Because they're so similar yet they’re so different at the same time. They’re both fun-loving, sassy, smart, charismatic, very multitalented, down-to-earth and collected and lovable dorks, bit awkward but in a cute way.But they’re so different, KO is more flamboyant and can be little eccentric at times. Where’s Bee is more calm and keeps his cool and emotions well in almost any situation. Not that KO is a exploding mess, not at all, but he does express his thoughts, positive or negative more than Bee does.Bee is the sweetest, kindest and chivalrous guy but he has low self esteem when it comes to his person. Knock Out on the other hand has great self esteem but is bit closed off and selfish. They could learn a lot form each other as in to grow. Their differences are perfectly imperfect and their similarities are so complimentary.- They've many same interests. They both love racing and spending their free time at night, they both love Earth and its things like movies. They like keeping themselves looking presentable, like dancing, music and they kinda have the same sense of humour. They just have good time together, never run out fun things to do. But they’d also be perfectly content just being in the same room doing their own things.- Bee'd be such a good friend form the start for KO. He loves all of his friends and he’s not "after anything". He just wants to support and cheer up his friends. And i think thats’ really gonna hit KO hard, someone so genuinely kind and caring. I don't think it’s something Knock Out really has seen or experienced and it’d be something that he’d perhaps admire and then ultimately fall for. And since Bee is always so nice and helpful, KO’d feel comfortable around him and seek Bee’s company when he can before anyone else’s- They’d be positive influence to each other and help each other to grow as a person. With Bee, KO’d learn to be part of a close team, make friends who are kind and happy to hang with him. Also Bee’s braveness and sense to stand up what’s right are something KO’d start to pick up on and eventually he’d grow to not be afraid to stand his ground. And for Bee, KO would bring this sense of freedom just to be. It’s different to hang with KO, like BB's status and reputation drop and he’s just a young, energic bot who likes to have fun. KO doesn’t expect BB to be or do something magnificent every single moment, even tho he knows what a hero BB really is. Bee'd get that feeling of ”normality”, when with KO that the war didn’t really let him have. And KO is such fun company and interesting, different in a good way. I think Bee likes the him that he is when KO is around because he gets to be nothing but himself at the same time.- The fact that Bee knew who Knock Out was when no other Autobot did, like it already gives off the idea that there’s already some history. Especially on Bee’s part, like what if he has seen or even met Knock Out before. Maybe when he still had his voice, did KO meet Bumble with a voice? Maybe he shadowed KO for a job! It could literally be anything and story just waiting to be told
Now i know this is long already and people don’t like too long posts soi’m gonna put everything else under this read more. KOBB continues
- When you kinda think about it, Bee and KO’s relationship was one of the few that developed a lot for the better. Yeah they never hated each other but they were rivals. But then went to associates to team mates to friends to true friends. Such good friends that they stuck together and KO stood by Bee and rest of bots against the corrupted council. I’m sure KO is happy that he did made the right choice and got to know Bee- Both of them think the other is out of their league. Knock Out knows Bee is Cybertron’s biggest hero, he’s brave, righteous, so kind and everyone loves him, why would he pay special attention to him? And Bee knows this amazing and brilliant doctor who is also a good fighter and great racer, he’s gorgeous and funny like why would he be interested in him? So they think the other is incredible, so incredible in fact that they can’t be in the same league when actually they’re both very much equal.- The med-bay would become a place for them. Yes cause BB tends to get dented often but also because it’s such a quiet calm place, which i bet Bee’dstart to appreciate. KO would get to do is thing, BB wouldn’t bother him but he’d give KO his undivided attention when a conversation starts. KO would love that and i think they’re those who can just talk for hours non stop.- Bumblebee and Knock Out are both tragic characters. Yes Bee on a scale is a lot more tragic but they’ve both been through a lot. Their loses, their physical pains they’ve been through, it’s a lot for bots so young. I don’t think either of them sleep well at night. Which though does create them moments to bond together when finding each other in the night. And  Bee is one of the best people you’d ever tell and share your doubts and insecurities. He’s a bot who keeps his promises and doesn’t backstab you. Knock Out’d notice.- Maybe there’s something in that they were more or less "made for each other” Like i think in the Art of Prime the main idea was to make Knock Out fast, an equal to Bumblebee, to be his like counterpart so i suppose that already gave base and made me interested. Also they both stand out in the franchise overall so they have that star, power couple material- They look really good together. Like aesthetically they go so well together. And in RiD15, look at Bee and you’ll see there’s Knock Out in him. And KO even got that Bee cyan blue on him. I don’t know, it feels like they’re that pair that spend so much time together that they started to look like each other- Think about Bumblebee, the metaphorical son of Prime, Cybertron’s greatest hero and the bravest warrior out there. And Knock Out his formal rival who chose to save him and take the side of good and kinda became a role model to those who want to do the same. It’s not hard to think them as this poster couple of new era, everyone living in peace again, working together and spreading the idea that after the war, they're able to move on all together.Suppose there’s always going to be a leader and his medic
Yeah i might be forgetting some points here but overallWho doesn’t love a story of two young souls who realise they’re two of a kind, love all the same things and get along so well but the war kept their worlds from colliding. But they're able to leave it all to the past and start a brand new beginning together. Growing and becoming each other’s best friends and anchor person, being great as individual but amazing as a team. Eventually becoming os close that no matter what comes between them they’re able to overcome it and find each other again. There’s a lot of potential

Jona Spoils Chicago Typewriter
[The following review liberally spoils the ending a plot details of Chicago Typewriter. I recommend watching the drama before reading.]
Yet another drama that I took my sweet time finishing after it had officially stopped airing, and yet unlike with MoonClouds or Goblin,  I really felt like CT was worth my time. At the very least, an interesting break from the norm, and one that deserves a bit of a closer look.
Tumblr media
Chicago Typewriter is a supernatural reincarnation romance that spans over two timelines. The majority of the drama focuses on Han Se Ju, a novelist in modern-day Seoul, his devoted literary fangirl, Jeon Seol, and a quite literal ghost-writer, Yoo Jin Oh, who has been haunting the titular typewriter for the past 80 years. In their former lives the three were passionate freedom fighters in occupation-era Korea. The hypersensitive, hopelessly self-involved Se Ju as gotten himself a wicked case of writer’s block right at the beginning of a hugely lucrative project. Yoo Jin Oh offers to assist him in finishing his book through supernatural means, but that will mean compromising his principles and passing off someone else’s work as his own. It will also mean drawing closer to Jeon Seol, as the three are pulled further into the web of memories from their past lives, toward a shared fate.
When we were still in the early buzz phase, the first thing I noticed about this drama was the casting, which is fantastic. Im Soo Jung is an actress I’ve only seen twice. Once in the movie Time Renegades and once in the perennially relevant I’m Sorry, I Love You. The idea of a Kim Go Eun-esque advent on television after a career that’s focused largely on movies I’ve historically had a hard time watching through legal means was exciting to me. Add to the fact she would be playing opposite the exquisite Yoo Ah In and rising star Go Kyung Pyo who very recently upgraded in my estimation cute to smoking hot, and I was totally there for this. Plus, the story boasted a novelist entangled in supernatural events and occupation era period elements. All of which is very, very much my speed.
Then I found out who the writer was and had to backpedal a little bit.
CT comes to us from the same writer as Kill Me, Heal Me a melodrama with a psycho-fantasy premise which I wasn’t precisely thrilled with. I don’t think KMHM represents everything wrong with this world or anything like that, but it’s one of those vastly popular dramas within fandom that I had a lot of issues with. From a story and pacing perspective I found it to be quite messy. Adding pacing issues and a writer with an inability to edit her ideas to the all too prevalent tvN bloat is a recipe for disaster. *cough* Goblin *cough*.
While CT does fall into some of the same pitfalls as KMHM, I think the material plays more to the writer’s strengths. Jin Soo Wan is better suited to out and out fantasy with a dash of period romance than psychological dramas. Her flair for the melodramatic felt somehow more appropriate paired with the fantasy premise of CT, and thus while far from perfect it felt more refreshing and frequently less forced than her previous drama.
So now to get down to the nitty-gritty, starting discussing the details of the drama…
The biggest strength that this show has, I believe, is its casting. A good performance and a charismatic lead can cover a multitude of sins, and nowhere is that more apparent than with our leading man, Han Se Ju. Se Ju as a character is at times so insufferable that I think in the hands of anyone less capable than Yoo Ah In, I would have been forced to hate him. But YAI’s intensity, grin, almost whispering line delivery punctuated by frequent freak outs, made the character more appealing and sympathetic than he otherwise would have been. There’s just something about that boy.
Tumblr media
Go Kyung Pyo does smoldering and mysterious very well, as he demonstrated in Jealousy Incarnate, and he’s pulling out a somewhat similar performance here, but to his credit it works very well for his character. Im Soo Jung switches between bright and bubbly to soulful very well, though I can’t help but wish that she had been given a little bit more substantive to do as Jeon Seol. Other than acting as a walking a plot device, occasionally disseminating key information regarding her past life, and being thrust into unlikely situations with Se Ju, there didn’t seem to be a whole lot of reason for her to be involved in the plot.
This criticism does not extend to her 1930s persona. Ryu Soo Hyun is so much more interesting to me than her modern day counterpart that it’s really a shame that the format of the show didn’t allow us to explore her character a little more thoroughly. What we get of her is so intriguing. Her loyalty, her ruthlessness, and her commitment to the cause rivaled that of either of her boys. The drama spent so much time building up the mystery of who Jeon Seol had killed in her past life that I was worried they wouldn’t be able to make the scene as impactful as it needed to be. Boy, was I wrong.  And then her cold-blood rampage at the end of the drama absolutely caught me off guard and gave us a far darker and more poignant ending than I had ever imagined.
And that’s basically where we start running into problems with this drama. The 1930s segments of this show are so much stronger on the whole than the modern day stuff that it really makes you wish the entire drama had been a period piece. Or at the very least there had been a little better balance between the two. The lion’s share of the last two hours of this drama take place in the past, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they are two strongest episodes of the show. With the exception of Yoo Jin, all of the characters in the present were weak and unsubstantial compared to their 1930s counterparts. Han Se Ju isn’t a terrible character in my estimation, but he becomes so much diminished when you hold him up to his Scarlet Pimpernel-esque resistance leader, Seo Hwi Young.
Tumblr media
^^YAI somehow managed to upstage himself in his own drama.^^
And it was clear also that the writer didn’t know what she wanted Jeon Seol to be, other than love interest. She couldn’t even settle on one occupation for her (Olympic marksman, delivery girl, veterinarian, editor). The modern day stuff lacked focus and direction.
Another issue is the fact that there are once again too many characters in the drama and not all of them have a clear function in the story. Why is the Italian chef even in this drama? Why did we spend so much time with shaman and her daughter when they have so little impact on the story? Did the writer not think we had enough comedic elements in this drama?
Tumblr media
^^This drama?^^
As for the modern thriller aspects: Why did we both with the copy cat killer/revenge crazed stalker character arcs? Was Tae Min and his dangerously sociopathic behavior not enough? There was a perfectly viable subplot about a sibling rivalry between two writers–the legitimate heir unhinged by jealousy vs. the gifted son of his fathers mistress who will always outshine him–that could have offered more than enough suspense and interest if it had been developed better. Not only that, but Tae Min’s character has a connection to the 1930s setting that those other character I’ve mentioned don’t. That plagiarism plot and family drama should have been the main source of conflict in the modern day, but it often got lost in the shuffle of stray subplots. It’s this everything-and-the-kitchen-sink style of writing that I had problems with in KMHM.
That being said, there’s still a lot here to appreciate here, and I’m not ready to throw out the baby with the bath water. At it’s heart, this drama is about the bond between our main triad, and their love and sacrifice for each other is what holds the story together.
I remember when my mother was watching this, she was far more diligent about watching week to week and finished it before me. When we discussed it afterward she said that she found the ending somewhat confusing in that, “It was hard to tell who was in love with whom.” And I told her that was because the three leads were all in love with each other.
Tumblr media
There are several points at which lip service was paid to a traditional love triangle, but it came across as equivalent of pasting a hasty no-homo over a poly relationship. “This is totally binary, guys, we swear!” I didn’t buy the binary relationships they were peddling, and I don’t think the writer’s heart was in it either. It was everywhere evident in the writing that the only happy ending for these characters was one where all three of them were happy in one place, with no patriotic duty to sacrifice for and nothing forcing them apart.Together as friends and–yes, I do believe–as lovers. A true 0T3.
Their tragic fate in the 1930s and the bitter sweet one in modern day was really sold me on the show. And the way that the leads played it with such warmth and sincerity absolutely struck me to the heart. When they were hurt and broken, I cried with them. And that’s what I think makes this evidently imperfect drama something truly special. There are some really good ideas here and if there had been a little more focus and some paring down of ideas, CT would have made an even bigger splash in the fandom.
I give Chicago Typewriter a strong 7.5/10 along with my recommendation to give it a try. It’s flawed, certainly, but it breaks away from the typical and ending sings. It’s really ambitious, and that alone made it worthy of my attention.

Fight to Win - Gorilla Grodd Vs Winston
The apex of intelligence will be decided when these two apes of wrath throw down!
Tumblr media
Just a few steps behind us on the evolutionary ladder, the noble gorilla resembles the human in spirit and intelligence, some to an extent that even eclipses us.
Gorilla Grodd, the conqueror from Gorilla City
Tumblr media
And Winston, Overwatch’s crack scientist
Tumblr media
I’m Tommy the Bomb-Y, and it’s my pleasure to pit fiction’s champions against one another, in a
FIGHT
TO
WIN
Hidden within the lush greens of Africa is Gorilla City, populated with a populace of gorillas with intellects that put most humans to shame.
Tumblr media
The technological advancements of Gorilla City created a neigh utopia. But even in paradise, there are those two greedy to leave well enough alone. The would-be conqueror of Gorilla City would wreak havoc more than once, written in infamy as Gorilla Grodd.
Tumblr media
Name: Gorilla Grodd Age: Not documented Height: 6’6” (198 cm) Weight: 600 lbs. (272 kg) Race: Gorilla Homeland: Gorilla City, Africa Alias: N/A High Ranking Member of the Legion of Doom Arrogant and cruel, Grodd believes gorillas to be the superior race, and for that matter, that he is the superior gorilla. With that in mind, there’s no end to the superheroes he will maul, shoot, and mind control to achieve world domination.
Tumblr media
Grodd is a genius, even relative to the ingenuity of a Gorilla City denizen. He’s been able to mind control entire populations to his very whim using his various devices of his own creation. He often carries a pulse blaster into battle, one that can make impressive dents in a spaceship modified by Lex Luthor, intended to survive the deepest reaches of space.
Tumblr media
But what Grodd carries in brains, he equally does in brawn, too. He can casually throw around an eighteen ton police cruiser, can throw scrap metal with enough force to knock a helicopter out of the air, and even knocked out the son of Darkseid, Kalibak. Despite fancying himself an intellectual, Grodd has no qualms getting his hands dirty, relying on underhanded tricks and unconventional weaponry such as rocks to win.
Tumblr media
Once, in battle with the Flash, Grodd endured a whopping three hundred punches from the Scarlet Speedster. Studies have found that elite level fighters can throw punches with up to 776 pounds of force. To endure 3,000 punches from the Flash would mean Grodd tanked 2,328,000 pounds of force, and was perfectly capable of punching right back after the fact. There was also the time Grodd got on the bad side of the Joker, who riddled the ape with bullets and sent him falling down a ravine, an encounter Grodd managed to survive.
Tumblr media
As impressive as all of his power and bulk is, Grodd’s true greatest weapon comes in the form of his mental powers. Grodd can cause immense pain just by telepathic onslaught. He can hypnotize and mind control foes, create illusions realistic enough to fool the Flash, and even inflict the moods of others. He was able to, from a distance, cause the Justice League to quarrel to an extent that they’d separate, and was even able to calm a rioting, warring group of supervillains to passivism.
Tumblr media
Grodd’s intelligence and talent for strategy earns him a place as a prominent foe of the Justice League, often working closely with the likes of Lex Luthor and Sinestro. He’s created supervillain teams such as the Injustice Gang and even assembled massive forces for the likes of the Legion of Doom. There’s no denying his incredible charisma and power as a leader.
Tumblr media
Grodd is the apex of strength and wit, and his greatest weakness is that he knows it. He can be massively arrogant, and it’s cost him more than once. His sadistic desire to mentally torture Lex Luthor allowed his foe to turn the tables on him, and someone as clever as the Flash would be able to take advantage of his pride. But with all the strength of an ape and then some, coupled with one of the most brilliant minds in the DC Universe, there isn’t much that can stop Gorilla Grodd from going ape.
Tumblr media
When technological marvels of the future turn out to be a little more than we can handle, you can count on the noble heroes of Overwatch to save the day…
Tumblr media
...or at least you could once. Controversy and a confusion of the priorities of the public eventually caused Overwatch to fall, leaving many of its former agents without a purpose. The Overwatch members would be closely watched to make sure they never indulge in vigilante justice again. But a true hero never stays still in the face of danger, and when duty called, so did Winston.
Tumblr media
Name: Winston Age: 29 Height: 7’3” (220 cm) Weight: Not documented Race: Gorilla Homeland: Horizon Lunar Colony Alias: N/A Scientist of Overwatch Raised by scientists on the Horizon Lunar Colony, Winston was encouraged to shoot for the stars and follow his dreams. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that it was Winston who initiated the risky Overwatch recall when he felt their work wasn’t done. The hulking but kindhearted gorilla proves that heroes come in all shapes and sizes.
Tumblr media
Winston’s preferred weapon is his Tesla Cannon, which fires a steady stream of electricity that if uninterrupted, can continuously deal impressive damage; enough to dissipate Reaper in battle. Although the range is short and can be easily disrupted, but it homes in on opponents automatically if within a close enough range.
Tumblr media
Winston wears a have set of armor that can endure an impressive storm of bullets. He’s a Tank hero after all, meaning he’s specifically designed to soak up big chunks of damage for those that can’t afford to. Not even dropping a ten ton laser cannon on top of him can put Winston down for good.
Tumblr media
Winston’s armor also comes suited with a jetpack, which Winston can use to jump incredibly long distances. He’ll use his descent from these lunges as a crushing physical attack, otherwise, the jet pack provides a useful, evasive tool for getting out of sticky situations quickly.
Tumblr media
Winston has also perfected a Barrier Projector, which throws up a shield that will protect Winston from any degree of damage for a limited time. And while nothing can get in to hurt Winston, that doesn’t mean nothing can leave. Winston can carry on fire from behind the wall of energy himself.
Tumblr media
Although a careful and gentle soul, it’s said that the devil himself hides when a good man goes to war. Winston’s ultimate ability is Primal Rage; if provoked into anger, Winston will enter a state that makes him many times stronger than before, able to fling around Talon Agents as if they were nothing, and devastate other characters’ life bars with mere melee attacks.
Tumblr media
Winston’s Primal Rage is extremely limited, though, and once it’s gone, it takes time or specific circumstances to bring it back. To boot, Winston is a broad, slow target. Again, this is by design of being a Tank, but he can only endure for so long. But Winston (so long as he has his glasses) will keep his eyes on the prize, namely the safety of the people and a bundle of bananas.
Tumblr media
So, who will reign as king of the chrome jungle? Let’s not waste a second more!
Tumblr media
Location: Winston’s lab
DJ Funky Freeman’s music choice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWP9GLO5ffY&t=59s
Winston left smears of peanut butter from his fingers on his keyboard as he entered long lines of code, improving on the previous disruptor shield model and hoping this would be the one that perfected the formula. “And now...for a test.” Winston, with great anticipation, flicked the switch on his latest attempt at a shield projector. The gadget hummed and rattled, before wailing an earsplitting beep and bursting into flames. Winston’s hopeful smile faded. “Back to the drawing board…” The familiar voice of Winston’s AI, surrounding him in his lab at all times, Athena, echoed. “An intruder has been detected.” Winston’s eyebrows raised. “What?!” The scientist swung off of his tire swing seat and down onto the floor of his lab. He followed an a metallic pounding sound from the opposite side of the entrance door of his headquarters. “Who’s there?!” Winston barked, slamming his fists on the floor. As if on cue, the doors burst open, toppled over by the sheer force of the figure waiting behind them. When the intruder stepped into light, Winston recognized him as another gorilla. “Who are you?” Winston growled again, immediately identifying this gorilla as an enemy. “How rude.” The new ape said. “I only came to present a proposition.” “Proposition?” Winston retorted. “I highly doubt the invasion of my lab was necessary, if your proposition is as minor as you claim it is.” “I am called Gorilla Grodd.” The intruder introduced before motioning to the door he had knocked over. “And despite your...shoddy security system, your research in mechanics impress me.” Winston took a single step back. He did not care for how Grodd was speaking to him, and was prepared to run back to his computer if need be. He’d call for help, Tracer, Mercy, and the others. They’d deal with this suspicious stranger. “Don’t seem so nervous.” Grodd insisted. “I only desire to make you my acolyte.” “Not interested.” Winston snorted back. “So quick to answer.” Grodd casually chuckled. “You don’t want to be at my side for a new era? When gorillas such as you and I rule, surely you’ll want a front row seat when those human neanderthals bow to us!” Winston slammed his fist. “I can’t say I can allow myself to condone anything you just described.” Grodd rolled his eyes, before popping his knuckles against his hands. “Shameful.” Grodd shook his head. “You see, I came here to either gain an ally...or exterminate a vermin. And I suppose the former option has just ceased to be.” Winston adjusted his glasses, before raising a single fist, prepared for his rival. FIGHT! The two apes let out roars of anger as they pounded on the ground, using the leverage of the own arms to throw themselves at one another. Their monstrous fists collided, shaking everything inside the lab and knocking over everything that stood. The hot breath of both apes draped down the combatants’ necks. Winston, his fist caught inside Grodd’s, overpowered his opponent’s arm, thrusting it forward and slamming Grodd’s own fist into his face. Winston did so twice more until blood gushed from Grodd’s face. The gorilla conqueror let out a roar of pain as he was knocked backwards by the prior blow. “I gave you a chance to walk away!” Winston asserted. “Now you’ve frustrated me!” Grodd beat his own chest aggressively, before rushing back at Winston. Grodd this time swung his fist with incredible force. The blow connected with Grodd’s chin, sending him flying upward. “I tried to be nice!” Grodd insisted, while Winston careened through the air. The bespectacled ape collided with his own tire swing, hanging from the ceiling. Grodd began swinging back and forth on the swing with his new found momentum before jumping off and landing on the corridor across. Winston turned around. He saw Grodd, still below, angrily swinging his arms about. Without a moment’s notice, Grodd watched his foe turn around and leap out of sight. “Coward!” Grodd gripped some of the hanging electrical wires that the quaking battle knocked over, climbing up to the corridor above. By the time he made his way onto the hard, steel floor, Winston was out of sight. “Did you really think you’d be any more safe up here?” Grodd grumbled. “Significantly so, yes.” Winston’s voice shot from the dark corner of the lab. Illuminating the scientist was the discharge of his own weapon, the Tesla Cannon. The bolts of lightning danced across the floor and latched onto Grodd, who let out a shout of pain. “I beg your pardon for stepping away...but, you said you were impressed by my machinery, which is why I thought you’d like a closer look at my Tesla Cannon.” Winston carried on, applying several volts of electricity to his foe. Grodd suffered through the voltage, backing away as he groaned in pain. Grodd backed into the railings of the catwalks they stood on, before he tipped over the edge. The sinister ape landed on the cold floor with a heavy thud. Winston jumped down, his Tesla Cannon still in his grip. “There’s plenty more where that came from!” Winston reloaded his cannon, the generator spinning quickly to create the electricity necessitated. Grodd returned to his feet, shaking off the previous assault’s damage. “If you want to compare toys…” Grodd pulled his own blaster from its holster. “I’ll happily oblige.” Winston’s eyes shot to the one handed ray gun. So small...how much of a punch can it possibly pack? Grodd pointed his weapon to Winston, pulling the trigger. From its barrel, a flash of white hot plasma energy shot at Winston, who quickly lunged out of the way. The blast blew out a massive chunk of the plaster walls, kicking up a huge cloud of smoke. “Apparently...quite large.” Winston quickly reached for one of his discarded attempts at a shield projector. Please work… Winston threw down the gadget, which flashed blue in front of Grodd. The shield hummed and shook...before a bright blue forcefield stood between the two apes. “Child’s play.” Grodd commented, firing his ray gun at the shield, to no avail. The plasma energy rose to smoke in the hair, leaving Winston unharmed on the other side. “No firepower can come into my domain with this invention of mine in play,” Winston rested his hand on his Tesla Cannon. “Yours, on the other hand…” Winston fired off his cannon, sending yet another stream of electricity at Grodd, who endured another full shock. Winston heartedly smiled, taking Grodd’s moment of vulnerability to run off, hoping to achieve distance so he can continue firing his Tesla Cannon. This did not go unnoticed by Grodd, who shot his own weapon in Winston’s direction, only creating massive crater in the laboratory floors, while Winston dodged the shot. “You can’t run forever, you stain on evolution!” Grodd scowled, carrying on fire with his blaster. Winston ran, assisted by his free arm, racing out of the way of each blast of energy Grodd allowed to fire off. “Hold STILL.” Grodd snarled. Winston assumed this to be an empty exclamation of anger, before Grodd’s voice echoed in his head. ”Hold STILL.” Without any effort of his own, Winston felt himself paralyzed in place. “Just the way I like my prey.” Grodd pointed his rifle, firing at Winston point blank, sending him flying backwards. Winston crashed into a pile of jagged lab equipment behind him. Grodd approached, blowing the smoke off that rose off his weapon. “Was that…” Winston wheezed. “Telepathy.” Grodd tapped his forehead. “The superior are often bestowed such gifts.” Winston gripped the Tesla Cannon. Despite his wounds and bruises, he swung his heavy weapon, whipping Grodd across the face. Blood sprayed from Grodd’s face once more, as the blow sent him stepping back. Winston lifted the Tesla Cannon, but Grodd was quick to regain his composure. “You insolent WHELP!” Grodd roared, bearing his jagged teeth. Winston felt the familiar sensation of Grodd’s mental powers, only this wave felt about ten times stronger. Winston felt his finger involuntarily forced off the trigger of his weapon. Sweat rolled down his face as he tried to resist Grodd’s telepathic onslaught. Grodd smiled, lifting a single hand. Like a puppet on a cluster of strings, Winston felt his body forced to throw his Tesla Cannon behind him. “Good boy.” Grodd let out a deep, insidious laugh. “Now, to repay you for your...valiant battle efforts.” Grodd lifted his arm, swinging it quickly, causing Winston to, in turn lift his own and, caused by Grodd’s fell swoops, punch himself in the stomach with great force. Winston grunted in great pain, while Grodd laughed, continuing to swing his arm, sending the telepathic signals that forced Winston to slam his own fist into his stomach, and soon after, his face. Grodd’s sustained smile of sinister pleasure exploded into an outright guffaw of sadistic pleasure. “If you won’t work alongside my cause, then I’ll crunch you between my teeth like an insect plucked from my own fur!” Grodd forced Winston’s own arm into his face once more. This blow sent Winton’s glasses flying off of his face and to the floor. “Glasses?” Grodd inspected. “You’re so inferior, you rely on man’s creation for the mere act of sight?” The staggered Grodd struggled to speak. “Don’t...you...dare!” Grodd picked up Winston’s glasses, held them in front of his rival’s face, and with a flex of a single finger, broke them in half. “Now…” Winston’s clenched his eyes shut. “You’ve DONE IT!” When Winston’s eyes reopened, nothing sat within them but a bright, hot rage. Winston’s entire body turned red with sheer rage. Winston pounded his fists on his armored chest as his body surrounded itself with kinetic energy. “What the devil?!” Grodd’s jaw dropped at the sight. The evil ape lifted his rifle again, firing at Winston, but this time the blast bounded off of the energized ape. “GRODD!” Winston roared as he jumped at his enemy, punching his opponent in the face. Grodd experienced a pain more intense than any previously in the fight. Grodd attempted to throw a punch himself, but Winston caught the blow, and returned another punch with his opposite hand. Winston roared in rage as he gripped Grodd’s fur, lifting him high in the air. “PUT...ME...DOWN!” Grodd exclaimed. Winston roared, shaking the entire laboratory before tossing Grodd several feet across it. Grodd, his face buried in one hand, attempted to return to his feet, but Winston was closing in, still bright red with incredible rage. Once he was a few feet away, Winston planted his fists firmly in the floor, swinging his legs outward and directly into the exhausted Grodd. The towering gorilla rolled over several piles of failed experiments and lab supplies, crashing violently into the wall. Winston beat his chest triumphantly, roaring and yelling, spit flying from his lips. Grodd could hardly feel his own legs as he pulled himself out of the mess he was knocked into. Winston had assumed Grodd was down for the count, the mere sight of his adversary still moving was enough to refuel his rage once more. Winston opened his jaws to release yet another scream, one that caused Grodd’s fur to billow in the air produced. “Oh HUSH you!” Grodd yelled back, his eyes turning blood red as, on command, Winston calmly shut his mouth. The same head shaking, telepathic ripples traveled through the air and into Winston, who sighed in pain as his head was picked through by Grodd’s mindwaves. Winston’s fur began to lose it’s red hue, and the kinetic energy surrounding him faded as well. “Now...stay!” Grodd’s telepathic command shot into Winston, who felt his body numb as his assailant desired. “It’s no wonder such a feeble mind would take so much effort to help the humans.” Grodd chuckled, as he turned his back on the fully paralyzed Winston, who could only moan in his place, desperate to move. “...Oh, I nearly forgot.” Grodd turned around, wrapping his hand around the back of Winston’s neck. With a single yank, Winston was pulled up, and then slammed, face first, into the steel lab floor. Grodd picked Winston pack up, crashing him down once more. After a final, third slam into the ground, Grodd pulled Winston back up, readjusting him up straight, and sent his fist into his bruised and broken face. Grodd watched Winston hit the floor, the scientists’ head turned around one hundred and eighty degrees. KO Grodd stood back up straight, wiping the blood off of his fist with a hankey he retrieved from his holster. “Join the rest of your kind,” Grodd spat at his downed foe. “In the waste basket of evolutionary progress.”
((victory circle theme: www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5-DObCnk4o )) Winston was no pushover, and his technology and arsenal gave Grodd a run for his money for sure, but Grodd’s powers more than compensated for any shortcomings he had. Both could survive being pelted by deadly gunfire, but Grodd one ups the feat with his fall that immediately followed his own encounter, and his lack of clear armor at the time, contrasting Winston, speaks more strongly to his endurance. Grodd was also far too strong for Winston to handle. Winston’s best shot was to rely on his Primal Rage, but Grodd was able to make the Justice League bicker to a point of splitting up entirely by sending negative, mood enhancing brain waves. Considering Winston’s strength and primal rage are fueled directly by his anger, there’s no reason Grodd couldn’t have immediately thrown of Winston’s biggest trump card. Grodd even had Winston outwitted. Grodd could build a secret base around a spacial anamoly, while Winston struggled to creator a functioning teleportation device. Winston’s jet pack gave him control over the battlefield, but Grodd regularly spars with the Flash. Even in a close quarters fight, Winston couldn’t overpower Grodd, and had no way of countering his telepathic onslaughts. Somewhat straightforwardly, Grodd’s tenacity and powers cement him as top banana. The winner...is Gorilla Grodd.

Jews Use Porn as a Weapon against Righteous Gentiles
came across a well written and compelling article recently on how porn in a Christian Gentile society horribly degrades women, and robs them of the grace and dignity of their feminity, and their role as a mother of righteous God-fearing children. So I thought I’d post on the subject, especially since David Duke has just put up a good article along similar lines and says Jews use immorality as a weapon in their on-going war against Christians and righteous Gentile societies.
Many readers probably know that Jehovah God commanded the Israelites under the old legal dispensation to stone the whore and burn certain fornicators in fire, to purge Israel from that sort of iniquity; which certainly exposes the hypocrisy of the Jews in so-called Judaism since the Crucifixion, who’ve gone back under the law, but have not kept it, and have hypocritically been among the greatest transgressors of the letter of it, especially in terms of sex crimes against God, Gentiles, and their co-religionists, since that time.
In fact even in this new dispensation of the grace that’s for humanity since the Crucifixion, God has condemned fornication in no uncertain terms; and the New Testament warns Christians to “abstain from” and even “flee” fornication, because “every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body”.Also …
“God gave also gave them up to uncleaness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves …“For this cause God gave them up to vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:“And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men working with men that which is unseemly, and RECEIVING IN THEMSELVES THE RECOMPENCE OF THEIR ERROR which was meet.“And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;“Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness … without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection …“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them” (Rom. 1. 24-32).
In fact not even many Christians know that the “covenant breakers” in the previous verse include women who have given up their virginity before marriage, and hence broken their “covenant” with God, which is a secret agreement that they should keep their bodies for God, and/or marriage and motherhood, so that they and their children would be blessed and not cursed in this life, and not almost invariably lost to sin and Satan in the sulphurous lake of fire in hell to come. For it’s written …
“When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant to thy soul:“Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:“To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;“Who leaveth the paths of of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness:“Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of wickedness:“Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:“To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;“Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, AND FORGETTETH THE COVENANT OF HER GOD.“For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.“None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life” (Proverbs 2. 10-19).
But the thing here is that Jews, more than any other race or nation, know the scriptures, and the power fornication has to ruin a race or nation; and hence in their wickedness since they’ve crucified their messiah Jesus, they’ve deliberately set about to use sin like porn to subvert and destroy Gentiles. So that the Jews can reign supreme over what’s left of the goyim, under their false Unitarian deity, and by a pseudo-messiah who’ll ostensibly be sitting on the throne of David at Jerusalem.
Depraved Jewish Porn "Buddha" Ron Jeremy from QueensYes, it might be argued that Jews are just disproportionately in the sex industry, in general, for the money they can make, which doubtless has some truth to it, knowing the profits of the industry and the Jews’ Judas-like love of ‘thirty dirty pieces’ of silver …
“Secular Jews play a disproportionate role throughout the sex industry … Jews accounted for most of the leading male [pornography] performers of the 1970s and ’80s …If the Torah [Pentateuch] commands Jews ‘to be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation,’ and Judaism strongly opposes porn, why do Jews dominate porn? … Pornographer Seymore Butts attributes the large number of Jews in porn to the desire for profits. Jews gravitate towards money …
But no, I don’t think that’s the full picture.Here’s a relevant comment …
Some porn stars viewed themselves as frontline fighters in the spiritual battle between Christian America and secular humanism.  According to [the Jew Luke] Ford, Jewish X-rated actors often brag about their ‘joy in being anarchic, sexual gadflies to the puritanical beast’.Jewish involvement in porn, by this argument, is the result of an atavistic hatred of Christian authority: they are trying to weaken the dominant culture in America by moral subversion …[The Jew] Al Goldstein, publisher of Screw magazine, said (on lukeford.net), it is a case of the traditional revolutionary/radical drive of immigrant Jews in America being channelled into sexual rather than leftist politics.  Just as Jews have been disproportionately represented in radical movements over the years, so they are also disproportionately represented in the porn industry.  Jews in America have been sexual revolutionaries.  A large amount of the material on sexual liberation was written by Jews.  Those at the forefront of the movement which forced America to adopt a more liberal view of sex were Jewish.

There’s also this excellent article on the David Duke site that’s well worth a look …  |  http://www.davidduke.com/general/jewish-extremist-anti-gentile-hatred-present-in-porn-industry_400.html
Also there’s this one …
Jewish activity in the porn industry divides into two (sometimes overlapping) groups: pornographers and performers. Though Jews make up only two per cent of the American population, they have been prominent in pornography. …Is there a deeper reason, beyond the mere financial, as to why Jews in particular have become involved in porn? … Extending the subversive thesis, Jewish involvement in the X-rated industry can be seen as a proverbial two fingers to the entire WASP establishment in America. Astyr remembers having “to run or fight for it in grammar school because I was a Jew. It could very well be that part of my porn career is an ‘up yours’ to these people.” … Jews were also at the vanguard of the sexual revolution of the 1960s. Wilhelm Reich, Herbert Marcuse and Paul Goodman replaced Marx, Trotsky and Lenin as required revolutionary reading. …In light of the relatively tolerant Jewish view of sex, why are we ashamed of the Jewish role in the porn industry? We might not like it, but the Jewish role in this field has been significant and it is about time it was written about seriously.Vile Jew Reuben SturmanIn the postwar era, America’s most notorious pornographer was Reuben Sturman, the ‘Walt Disney of Porn’. According to the US Department of Justice, throughout the 1970s Sturman controlled most of the pornography circulating in the country. … It was said that Sturman did not simply control the adult-entertainment industry; he was the industry. …Many are entirely secular, Jews in name only. Sturman, however, identified as a Jew – he was a generous donator to Jewish charities. …[The Jew Nathan] Abrams shows how the corruption and debasement of Gentiles and Christian morality is a primary part of their motivation for intentionally infecting the Gentile community with pornography.[The Jew] Al Goldstein, the publisher of Screw magazine, said “The only reason that Jews are in pornography is that we think that Christ sucks. Catholicism sucks. We don’t believe in authoritarianism.” Pornography thusBase Secular Jew Al Goldsteinbecomes a way of defiling Christian culture and, as it penetrates to the very heart of the American mainstream (and is no doubt consumed by those very same WASPs), its subversive character becomes more charged. …Opposition to Jewish extremist subversion of Gentile, Christian or Muslim morality is frequently defined as anti-Semitic “hatred” in the Jewish dominated media. Abrams writing in a Jewish journal for a presumably Jewish audience writes matter-of-factly about the “atavistic hatred” against us by Jewish pornographers and their motivation toJewish involvement in porn, by this argument, is the result of an atavistic hatred of Christian authority: they are trying to weaken the dominant culture in America by moral subversion.Pacheco was one Jewish porn star who read Reich’s intellectual marriage of Freud and Marx. …Notice that all those mentioned: Reich, Marcuse, Goodman, Marx, Trotsky, Lenin and Freud are Jews. From Freud to Goodman, all represent a Jewish revolution against traditional European values and morality. When sick Jewish pornographers are part of the brutality of Jewish organized crime, the results can obviously be horrifically tragic for our people. In 2000, a Jewish “Russian” organized crime ring was uncovered that specialized in kidnapping Russian children, some as young as two years old, from parks and orphanages and then subjecting them to rape, torture and murder, all on video tape. These tapes were sold to thousands of Jewish and Gentile perverts all over the world. When police in Italy were frustrated by lack of action by the authorities they released some of the video footage to an Italian network which then showed some of the graphic images hoping to cause public outrage. Instead of outrage against the Jewish murderers the TV producers suffered outrage for showing the disturbing images. In spite of the horror and obvious newsworthiness of this international Jewish child porn/murder operation, it received little coverage in the media in the United States. When Seth Bekenstein, the ring’s American distributor was arrested, there was little publicity, and in spite of being a part of one of the most horrific criminal activities imaginable, he was sentenced to only 18 months on guilty plea.Porn is no longer 1950s pictures of voluptuous nude women on a deserted beach. It has become permeated with sadism, masochism, scatology, even sexual molestation, rape and murder of young children. I am no prude. I love the beauty of the human body. But, I do think that this kind of sick criminal activity, in which there is so much exploitation, so much degradation, so much catering to the depths of human depravity, should be fought with constitutional law.

Jews also understandably use porn as a weapon in their on-going war against Arabs, especially Muslim Arabs in the Middle East, who seem to fall over more easily to the sin of it than Gentiles in other countries, probably because Islam is just pagan idolatry and hence lacks the power over sin in humanity that’s resident in true Christianity. The article at the following site even maintains that “Islam will be defeated by [Jewish] pornography” …
Despite the diplomatic ice reigning between the respective governments, Israeli erotic sites are reaping enormous success among the Internet surfers of the Arab countries. “We notice on our servers that thousands of users live in Muslim states with which we don’t even have diplomatic relations,” Nir Shahar, who manages one of the most visited Israeli websites with erotic content, told an Israeli journalist. Up to 10% of the daily contacts of the porn portals in Hebrew come from Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iraq. Some owners have decided to rise the wave of success opening an Arabic version on the websites and registering in this way an immediate surge of the ‘clicks’. Others, like Nir Shahar, believe the expense for translation is needless: “The videos and photos we offer do not need much explanation,” he says. There is a real passion spreading among the Islamic users: that for the hard Israeli videos in which the actresses interpret, in their way naturally, the role of female soldiers, secret agents or policewomen. One of the most watched films at the moment is ‘Codename: Deep Investigation’, a spy story which narrates in parody the (real) story of Mordechai Vanunu, the Israeli technician who had given out the nuclear secrets of the Jewish state. ‘The Affair-Vanunu’, yet, has another meaning in the video. The preference shown towards the erotism in the language of the enemy is susceptible to many interpretations, one of which is that probably the fact that there are not many erotic sites in Arabic and that in the strictly Islamic countries they are even banned. Yet the Arab Internet users show they follow the erotic deeds of the feigned female soldiers with a special determination: often they have to manage to go round, through a complicated computer procedure, the block which in many of their states usually impedes access to the Hebrew sites.

Even Israel’s military has descended into surreptitiously broadcasting porn on Muslim TV and radio stations, like Al-Waton in the West Bank, in an attempt to subvert a Gentile society that threatens Jews or that Jews want to overthrow …
“Porn movies and programs in Hebrew are being broadcast by Israeli troops who have taken over three Palestinian television stations of Ramallah, irate residents of the besieged West Bank town have told AFP.The offices of three local television and radio stations were occupied by soldiers yesterday morning, a few hours after tanks and hundreds of troops stormed the town in Israel’s biggest offensive against the Palestinian Authority and its leader Yasser Arafat. The soldiers started broadcasting the porn clips — considered extremely offensive by most Muslims — intermittently this afternoon from the Al-Watan, Ammwaj, and Al-Sharaq channels, the residents said. ‘The pornographic movies started on Al-Watan television at around 3:30 pm,’ one 34-year-old Palestinian mother named Reema told AFP.‘I have six children at home, they have nowhere to go with what is going on here and can’t even watch TV,’ she said angrily. ‘It’s not healthy really. I think the Israelis want to mess with our young men’s heads,’ she said.Anita, a 52-year-old mother of three children, complained about “the deliberate psychological damage caused by these broadcast.’. ‘I am furious, these are the people who are shooting at us that also play this disgusting trick on us,’ she said.‘We are desperate for news and constantly flipping channels and get these terrible pictures instead,’ adding that videos of the intifada were also shown backwards with ‘ideal terrorism’ written in red across the screen. ‘Luckily, there is no electricity in half of Ramallah,’ she said from her house in east Jerusalem where the channels are also available.A fourth local station, whose premises were not seized by the army, ran a written message across its screen letting people know it was the Israelis who were behind the graphic scenes.‘Anything currently shown on Al-Watan and other local TV channels has nothing to do with Palestinian programs but is being broadcast by the Israeli occupation forces, we urge parents to take precautions,’ the message said. The Israeli military denied that it had anything to do with the pornographic programming and instead blamed the Palestinian leaders.”

Also much of the foregoing has been largely corroborated by the first-hand knowledge of a recent commentator on this blog …

Then there’s Quentin Tarantino’s kosher movie, Inglorious Basterds, with a leading role played by the Jew Eli Roth, which has been labelled “Jewish Revenge Porn” (i.e., Jewish revenge on the Nazis with a pornographic twist) by some commentators …
“I’ve been waiting for a project like this since I was a kid,” Roth said during a Festival interview with the Forward, at the Carlton Hotel. “Of course, it is a Jewish fantasy, but there is a real wishful feeling that we could go back in history and sacrifice ourselves to kill Nazis.”This is an unapologetic reinvention of history stretched to the limit of artistic license. Roth himself, perhaps best known as the director of the sadism-packed 2005 “Hostel,” which many have dubbed “torture porn,” can relate to this tendency to lean on artistic license. He joked during a press conference that, for him, “Inglourious Basterds” was “kosher porn, something I have been fantasizing about for a long time.”
