I drew motifs for Doodle Tigers without any reference on our cross-country drive from North to South of Portugal (Porto to Alvor, Algarve). It was a 5,5 hour trip that my husband spent driving on manual transmission 🤯, and I was sketching 😄 Fair enough, right? 🙊It was such a lovely inspiring trip in September. I've included some of my travel notes/impressions of Portugal ☺️ Definitely one of our favorite trips! We visited Lisbon, Porto and Alvor in about 10 days. Lots of great cultural experiences including sight seeing, lovely locals, incredible museums, nature, port wine tasting and fooood 🥰 I particularly loved the museum of tiles (azulejos) - and pretty much the same patterned tiles on the city streets- and Lisbon Botanical Garden, as well as the breathtaking Benagil caves. I was excited to work on the topic Nocturnal Animals - because I'm pretty much a nocturnal animal myself 😅 Ive brought in a little New England flare with red barns, so very Vermont! 🐓 We have bats fluttering over every night, foxes occasionally pay a visit, raccoons do their noisy fights in out backyard almost every night and you have to take Badger Street to get to our house. 🦡 So this design was very much life inspired!
