She who has Returned

This is another set that was inspired by a friend's dnd character.

Materials

Molds by House of Molds

Piñata alcohol ink I'm black

Ghost chameleon pigment from SolarColorDust

Process

After creating my Wells I mixed up a full amount of clear resin which I added a small amount of my chameleon pigments enough to create a shimmer but not obscure the translucency.

I then portioned out about 20ml of the resin had just mixed and added the black ink until I reached the desired opacity. And filled a syringe with as narrow a nib as I could use that wouldn't impede the flow of the resin.

From here I filled each mold with the shimmery clear resin but didn't allow the resin to flow into the wells that I had created. While simultaneously stiring and roatating the molds in my hand, i injected each with black resin to create the swirls and smokey effect. After I was pleased with the effect, I filled the wells/reservoirs with any of my left over resin and popped them all into the pressure pot to cure.

Final thoughts

I'm rather happy with how this set turned out. I would have rather thr wisps be more defined however I think the set turned out well!

After 3 months of dealing with this BS, I've had enough. @culturehustle and @stuartsemple are an absolute scam. I placed an order back in late February which took then a month to send because an item was out of stock (even after I asked them to just ship it without). Once I received the stuff, I found every single bit disappointing. The #pinkestpink was no pinker than some of my other excellent pinks from places like @solarcolordust (same with the blue, yellow, and green), and the #glowiestglow #lit pigments actually were WORSE than my @technoglow pigments. I was also super disappointed with #whitestwhite white 2.0, black 1.0, and the rainbow glaze. I didnt even open palette, which was the "most colorful watercolors," just sent it all back. This was late march. After two months of checking in with them, I have not received a refund, even though the label they provided says it was delivered to them. Every time I email them it's "let me check with someone else" and no action is ever taken Tl;dr not only do they lie about their products (which are average at best), they are a scam and will steal your money. I've always felt it tacky to make two posts in one day related to my work but I had to share this, as I've been trying to perfect the Galaxy design for my unisex Galaxy bangle bracelets for the past three years and this most recent one, I feel, captured what I had envisioned this entire time!

It came about as I was fulfilling an order for one of my trans customers who I adore and am honored that they showcase my work! As they are available in two sizes, these handmade to order color changing / glow in the dark bangles are designed to look amazing and fit everyone- they may also be fully customized and personalized as usual.

It's not that I hadn't watched videos nor that I wasn't aware of the technique used to create the galaxy effects- my desire to combine glow in the dark pigments with color changing thermogenic pigments made it a tedious process. The layers had to be done precisely and very thin, with each pigment on a separate layer with clear resin added in between to ensure each one 'popped.'

I don't usually toot my own horn when it comes to my work, but I am very proud of how this bangle came out and I can't wait to send it to its owner. These bracelets are currently on sale in the shop and you will find a video showing the color changing effects in action as well as the ability to select your own glow in the dark color.
