Hello Everyone! I went to Senegal for 6 months and have shared all my adventures via Instagram stories at the time.
So, I recently created a Tiktok account b/c close friends encouraged me. Now, I decided that I will reshare all my adventures on TikTok as well - 1) because I created so much content 2) I can use the TikTok content as a capsule for a lot of context and information and 3) I can consistently post on the app while learning how the application works and how the people react to my content.

I would love for you to support me w/ a follow on Instagram and TikTok @senegalesetwisted. Especially if you are interested in Senegal, want to travel to Senegal or just are interested in the content/me. If you have any questions about Senegal, definitely ask away too. I will from time to time post some of the content here too.
♥️♥️

A photo/video dump of the Monument of African Renaissance 📍Ouakam Did you know the following about the Monument? 1) It sits on top of a hill 100m high 2) the statue itself is 49m high 3) the stairs to the monument counts 198 steps 4) it’s price tag was $27M (15B xof) to build In 2010, Senegal celebrated its 50th year of independence and to celebrate, President Abdoulaye Wade inaugrated the Monument of African Renaissance. According to him, the monument symbolizes the triump of African liberation from centuries of ignorance, intolerance and racism. It sounds all peaches and cream, but there is a side not a lot of people know about this monument which I will tell you more about tomorrow. #senegalesetwisted #sntwistedtravel #sntwistedphoto #sntwistedwords #senegal #sénégal #sunugaal #africainerenaissance #ouakam #visiterlafrique #travelafrica #thisisafrica #dakarlives #travelgram #blackgirltravel #ndakaaru #monumentdelarenaissanceafricaine #renaissance (at Monument de la Renaissance africaine) https://www.instagram.com/p/ChiIV11L5L_/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Birthday trip to Fuerteventura, Spain
A recap of my birthday trip to Fuerteventura! Check out the video for the drone shots and vlogs!
Welcome to a long-awaited blog about my birthday trip to Fuerteventura, Spain. My previous blog was all about Daffie Be Proud products and I showed you my wash day. In this blog I want to share some more about my trip to the beautiful Fuerteventura. Although I have been to Spain many times to catch my second flight to Senegal, this was my first time actually enjoying the country. I really enjoyed…

Guess who is back?? (but never really left??) ME! 🙋🏾‍♀️✨🥳 I finally uploaded the video where I take you on an adventure with me: installing these braids 🤓 (myself). I was actually really anxious when I braided this because 1) never have I ever done these braids and 2) cornrowing my own hair is not my best skill 😂. However, all the braiding I have done in my life have accounted for something (I am still rocking this style) 🥳🥳 For those who missed it, I still posted a review of each episode of Maîtresse d’un homme marié as well. (Yesterday’s episode was 🥵, but Tahirou is still 🚮) #sntwistedwords #sntwistedphoto #senegalesetwisted #spring #mdhm3 #senegalesegirl #sntwistedphoto #motivationalmonday #quoteoftheday #qotd #naturalhair #freepalestine #feedinbraids #boxbraids #tribalbraids #blackhair https://www.instagram.com/p/CPfhcA8rBG-/?utm_medium=tumblr

CHECK VIDEO + DESCRIPTION BOX FOR BOTH INTERNATIONAL + THE NETHERLANDS RESOURCES AND PEOPLE TO FOLLOW/SUPPORT. | This past week or so, most people have been overwhelmed and probably felt a whole range of emotions, depending on whether you acknowledge your place in this world and what it means. I, personally did a lot of thinking and a lot of reblogging/reposting others. I have seen a lot of black squares being posted and I am definitely sideyeing some of these companies and influencers with a black square but that being all they do. Then I came across a comment on Facebook where a white woman was asking why Darnella Frazier didn’t ‘dO mOrE’ than ‘jUsT’ recording that video. That and so many other comments and conversations resulted in me making a video - link in bio. | this is not about me, nor is it about you. This is not ‘jUsT’ for George Floyd but for every Mitch Hernandez, João Pedro, Breonna Taylor, Philando Castile, Ahmaud Arbery, Amadou Diallo, Trayvon Martin Adama Traoré and countless others ALL OVER THE WORLD. And if you still don’t think it concerns you, I have a spoiler for you: YOU are part of the problem 🚮.

HAPPY 60th year of INDEPENDENCE TO SENEGAL 🇸🇳 | Although I have spent a lot of times in Senegal, I don’t always think of its history of gaining independence from France. However, it is important to look at the history and reflect on how we got to today. 🇸🇳| Did you know that after gaining independence in 1960, poet and writer Léopold Sédar Senghor, became the first president of Senegal. In 1960, Senegal had 3 million inhabitants. Today, Senegal has over 16 million inhabitants • I 🇸🇳Check my ethnicity tag video! • link in bio✨ | #SnTwistedPhoto #SnTwistedTravel #selfquarantine #selflove #socialmedia #senegal #senegaleseindependence #senegal🇸🇳 #nl #senegalesetwisted https://www.instagram.com/p/B-kHbIOHO4L/?igshid=1pm063ci3wc53
