When I first downloaded Gore, I wasn't expecting what I got. I was honestly expecting another broody, cliché follower that you see every other day, but I wanted to give him a try.

I am so glad I did.

I don't think I've even finished his quests yet, and I haven't even had the chance to try Vigilant with him, but I don't think I've ever loved a follower more.

Characters like Gore and Auri, where you genuinely need to TRY to make an effort and know them, are my favourite kind of characters. From finding him in that rusted bear trap and his little quips, I knew he would be a main-stay in my skyrim load order.

I genuinely feel like I have a friend in this game, not that it's an NPC 'sworn to carry my burdens' or something, but a genuine man that I'd be glad to call friend outside of a silly fantasy game. I've never teared up when a voice cracked or felt shattered to the core because I simply related so much to someone before I went through Gore's quests. And I'm proud to say that Gore is what I want to aspire to be — maybe besides the dragon slaying that he has to do daily.

The fact that he can find a reason to love life again is something I needed whenever I went through things like him. I genuinely LOVE Gore with all of my heart, and I'm excited to wait however long I need to just to see more from my favourite follower, no, friend.

So we passed through Karthspire Camp, and obviously we were greeted by the Forsworn welcoming committee... In the end, only this magician remained and she was the center of everyone's attention. And what had to happen happened: a big oaf threw ice spikes at his teammates who were blocking his view. 8D

Obviously, this was not taken too well by the latter.

And the troublemaker with the beautiful black hair suffered a nice beating from his comrades.

The problem is when people fail to recognize their mistakes and stop.

No, Tally, they're not going to kill you, just give you a good spanking for the naughty Mer that you are.

Taliesin. Tally. You're the one getting your ass kicked, here.

These Altmers are equally dramatic. They are as bad as the other.

Ouuuuuh, that's a good hit, Gore.

At the same time, when you see a guy with a barrel of alcohol on his back spontaneously catch fire and attack you, that's enough to freak you out!

Nebarra : Are you even an elf ?

Neb, this guy was part of the Thalmor. His lineage is impeccable.

Even in the heat of battle, Tally holds his tongue.

Taliesin seems to take curses less well than personal attacks.

No, in fact what he fears most is that someone will try to harm his beauty.

In the end, Nebarra definitely gained the upper hand over Taliesin who had to yield. The fight nevertheless exhausted Neb.

........I said nothing. As soon as he regained some strength, Taliesin couldn't help but add fuel to the fire to continue their dispute.

And Nebarra is far from opposed to the escalation of violence between them.

Auri : Violence solves everything.

So, tired of their bickering, we left them alone. It’s up to them to manage like grown-ups.

They ended up following us, while fighting. The last time I turned around, Tally was pressed against the grass on the slope of the hill, Nebarra a few inches away from him, two ice spikes in his breast plate... (please angrily make out)

Intro for my Skyrim Custom Voice Follower Baldur's Gate 3 Videos!

I had to choose a tattoo that would just work, but honestly I'm so happy with the eyes! I'm not a huge Shadowheart fan, but I've been gravitating towards her a lot this playthrough cause she looks sooooo cute as Gabby!!!

At the moment she is still a cleric, but I hope to turn her into a paladin once I get the gold (I spent it on everyone else and their class changes at the moment.)

Also, Tav Kaidan!!! I mainly decided on Kaidan as my Tav cause I wanted him to be in the mix, but also I knew no one in the camp may have matched his personality type. And, yes, I'm romancing Caryalind (Wyll,) to get that adorable dancing scene!

One year ago today, I posted a picture of a WIP Gore. I had only worked on him for about 3 days before he was up on the nexus. I had never voice acted, written, scripted, or done anything in the creation kit aside from recalc bounds on grass mods. He went up I think with something like 300 lines, and got way more attention than I anticipated, which scared the absolute shit out of me. I spent the next year scrambling to cover everything I think a follower should, learning to voice, learning to code better (my early work is horrific, lol) and pouring my heart into this mod.

I had some ups and downs, mostly dealing with Skyrim itself or my mod list, sometimes other authors or users, but Gore is finally in a place I can be proud of. Thank you all for staying with me, especially those that were there from the very beginning. I'm honored to accompany you in some small part through Gore as you make your way through one of my all time favorite games (that i constantly shit-talk.) I'm honored that you choose to have him at your side. I'm honored most of all to host a small section of this community that has been safe for people of all walks of life. I love doing this work, and I don't plan on quitting any time soon, even if I am thoroughly enjoying my break, still. You're all the best.

Skyrim custom follower users of Tumblr

I’m currently in the process of making a High Elf follower mod, Cirinel Direnni. Basic facts:

She’s from High Rock (Balfiera)

She has a good relationship with her family

You find her as a Thalmor prisoner

She’s an adrenaline junkie

She’s a spellsword (uses a one-handed axe)

I plan to make her romanceable

I’m taking suggestions while her mod is still in the malleable stage; what would you guys want to see in a follower? Dialogue for specific things, things she can do, quests she’s part of?

I can’t promise that all requests will make it in, but I’m interested to see what wishes you have! Any feedback is appreciated, and you can direct questions about her here.
