Do you know the Maleurous? What are your thoughts on each of them?

I am aware of the Maleurous. Honestly, with all of my screw-ups, including that time I forced my will on Fiamme, I am wildly surprised they didn't shunt me into that catagory myself. There's also the matter of being the treasurer of the local evil union, but that's not important right now.

What was I talking about? The Maleurous, yes.

I suppose I ought to iron out my thoughts, I've only recently met two of them so most of this is just surface-level evaluations.

Sinnocence: That poor creature. I don't' know what sick soul made them all that way--I have some theories, some accusations to be levied against a certain Empire in Azaveyr for that tacky appearance alone, but they're nothing more than baseless accusations--but the sheer fact they were a threat to both Paladins and Doomknights alike made them a force to be reckoned with. I can only think that an attempt to combine Destiny and Doom Spirits/Weapons was an attempt at making an Exalted Weapon, but all it made was a mess. Actually, on that note, there's one other person I know who would do such a thing, but it's not right of me to accuse her of things when she's not here to defend herself.

Mr. Nameless: He... wasn't the first toy I've seen animated with human souls, but it doesn't get easier. Let's hope no one looks too close at their commemorative plushies. His sheer magical power, even as a single soul bound to a toy, was fantastic. The sheer scale and control are greater even than some greater mages and wizards. I'd have loved to have seen the spellwork in action. Was it purely a multilayered illusion spell or was it a large scale transmutative spell? I could study the remnants but that's not as good as the first hand spell.

*Ahem.* Heard third-hand through Artix that Sally is still upset. Maybe I should send her something to try and cheer her up. Honestly, I don't know enough about Nameless--Twinkles wasn't it?--to comment on him specifically, another experiment gone wrong, probably of a necromancer. A lot of villains are born from such carelessness.

Voyna: I cannot put everything on her, but the socio-economic and environmental damage the so-called "Angel of Azaveyr" caused by hunting dragons to extinction in Azaveyr and forcing the survivors to flee overseas here to Green Guard (Battleonia), has caused lasting chaos to the many native species of dragons living here. She's caused so much grief. I'm not just saying this because of my ties to the Dragon Priestesses and my ties to the elementals. Seriously. In any other context I might actually applaud her power and tenacity, but she's inconvenienced me so she has to go.

Lock and Key: CYSERO THE BAG OF HOLDING DEVELOPED A PERSONALITY AND FEELINGS AGAIN! (That, probably isn't fair of me, seriously good for you guys, I'm very proud of you, please stop stealing my relics).

MyalOS: An Actual DRAGONOID????? IN THIS ERA????? I am literally so hype about this I might die, think of the things they could teach us, the things they've seen and done--They have memory issues? Oh, yes, I suppose that does follow. Damaged and all. They're still a living legend from another world, I can't not get excited about them. I would have killed to have explored their ruined mecha. Oh, the things they've seen and done. The things we could have learned.

I wonder if I could improve the universal controls... but I'd have to ask Cysero's permission first, it'd be impolite otherwise. Oh, where was I? right, right, the fish is next.

Remthalas: I don't care much for Remthalas. I pity him. Being beholden to a higher power, I get it. Been there, done that, t-shirts are ordered but on delay. It sucks. But, really, when you knock on the Devil's door, he'll eventually open it for you. Just don't drag the hero down with you, if you can.

Notha: Notha. Notha Ly'Ehr. What to say about the First and Final Maleurous? Brilliant and dangerous in equal measure. Who trusted you with an orbital nuke? Ah I can't be too harsh, you're really an interesting person. Cloning huh? I can't believe humans have finally reached that point. Will extending your life like that really grant you the answer you're chasing? The real answer. How much time is enough? Does that answer mean anything if you can't keep and protect what you want? What's really your end goal? You want to be free, but do you even know what that freedom means for yourself?

I guess I can't judge too hard, it took me literally thousands of years to get where you kids are, so kudos!

Ah, this wasn't very informative more than just me complaining about them, wasn't it? Hope that clarifies things.

How do you feel about your.... Teammates? Coworkers? Whatever those idiots are. But also how about the other ones? Lock, Key, Myalos, Sinnocence, Nameless, etc

How I feel about the Maleurous is... complicated to describe.

Imagine, if you will, a murder of crows. You are all from different places, and you do not agree on everything, but you all fly together to the same destination. You are all in this together, putting your plans in motion, and while you are not friends, you know you can work together with them, rely on them.

And then, hunters come to shoot you all down.

You find yourself on your own when you wake up, lost because you did not expect to survive after the shooting. You wander on your own for some time, void of any purpose and meaning for existence, only to find out some time later that some of your fellow crows survived.

What can you do, other than appreciate how you all survived together? Other than help them cobble together a way to live, and get their help to do the same?

As for individual ones... Lock and Key are people whom I appreciate and respect, Myalos gave me a Mini-Myalos to help me with communication so I owe him, despite how I suspected him based on his previous form, Sinnocence was a pitiful existence and I am relieved that he found his peace, and I'm genuinely happy that Mr. Twinkles got apparently resurrected and now lives with that little Necromancer girl called Sally.

As Daveed walked into the apartment that he shared with his girlfriend, he heard a loud shout coming from their room. He wasn’t fazed; it was finals week and Y/N was stressed. She’s been screaming all week, whining about it. Daveed didn’t know what to do to help her, so he figured giving her space would help.

It did not.

Daveed pushed open the door to their bedroom giving Y/N a look. Y/N glared right back. “Get out!” She shouted, throwing a pillow at him. Daveed catched it and walked up to her. “Y/N, you’ve been stressed,” he began. “What? No way, I didn’t notice,” she said sarcastically, cutting him off. He ignored her. “But I really don’t know what to do to help, you’ve been kind of moody,” he said carefully. Y/N groaned and looked her computer, laying on her stomach. Daveed contemplated for a moment. His face suddenly brightened, then twisted into an evil smirk at his idea to help her relax and unwind.

Daveed walked towards the bed and climbed on, straddling her legs. Y/N didn’t even turn her head. Daveed frowned and started to rub his hands over her back. She didn’t even react. At last, when he started massaging her, she started to squirm, and habit she has. Daveed smirked. This went on for a couple minutes, Daveed massaging her back, her squirming, until she got up. Y/N closed her laptop and set it on her nightstand. She pouted. “Okay, fine. You win. I like those back massages,” she admitted. She shuffled over to him. Daveed cupped his hand over his ear. “What was that? Couldn’t quite hear you,” he teased.

Y/N groaned and swatted at him. Daveed laughed. “Sit on the bed. I’m not quite done with you yet,” he said seductively. Y/N hurried and sat down quite eagerly, much to Daveed’s entertainment. Daveed crawled back onto the bed, behind and and started to massage her again, this time extending to her neck. Y/N let out a soft moan in response. Daveed started kissing up her neck, sucking right on her sweet spot, getting a louder groan out of her. “You like that baby?” Daveed whispered in her ear. Y/N laughed and did it with ease, doing it for him. “I loosened it up for you,” Daveed complained. “Yeah, whatevahhh,” Y/N cut herself off with a moan. Daveed smirked as he started kissing her breasts, his hand kneading the other. He trailed his kisses down her stomach, licking, sucking, and biting.

He finally made it to the waistband of her panties, with Y/N shifting underneath him. He held her hips still while he held her panties to one side. “Goddamn, Y/N. Daveed furrowed his eyebrows. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, why’re you crying?” He asked, wrapping his arms around her. “I’ve just been so stressed.” She giggled, wiping her eyes. Daveed laughed, Y/N laughing with him.

“I love you, Daveed,” Y/N said quietly. Daveed smirked. “I love you too, Y/N,” he said, pecking her on the lips.

[Commissioned by @mordremoth672, who wanted me to make some boss monsters for their campaign based on video game bosses. First up is my take on Sinnocence the Undying from DragonFable. The  abstracted humanoid shape and dualistic nature had me thinking “aeon” from the jump, and that’s not a design space I’ve played around in a lot. So I researched gnosticism until I found a word that loosely fit the concept to name it after, and I was good to go. A lot of the talk about Sinnocence that I found via Google was how annoyingly long the boss fight was, since he keeps healing. I figured that heal 3/day was enough to capture that flavor, but not so much that players will throw things at the DM and leave the table.]

Aeon, Metanoia CR 17 N Outsider This glowing white humanoid figure is pierced with a dozen weapons, radiating like the spokes of a wheel from its back and shoulders. Its arms and legs are tipped with blades, and it hovers effortlessly in the air. It has a head, which transitions between being a placid white mask and a gaping black skull in waves of rippling flesh.

A metanoia aeon, also known as a “repentance aeon” or “sinnocence”, represents the cosmic balance of good and evil. They perform acts of great good and great evil, balancing the cosmic scoreboard in ways that strike most non-aeons as madness. They are especially interested in testing the faith of powerful mortals benign and malevolent, trying to push them towards what they see as a more balanced state of neutrality. Both celestials and fiends hate them, and oppose their actions when they can.

In combat, a metanoia often begins by pronouncing judgment on their most powerful foe, hoping to overwhelm their mind and body with intense emotions. Those that succumb to their judgments they often leave alive as witnesses, using their incapacitation as an opportunity to lay waste to all other combatants. Most metanoias rarely fight without being protected by a wreath of blades spell, and they enjoy splitting up formations with blade barriers.

Although a metanoia rarely carries treasure intentionally, the blades embedded in their bodies can be claimed once they are slain. Every metanoia contains 1d8+2 bladed weapons. Most of these weapons are merely of masterwork quality, but one of them is a +1 holy weapon and another one is a +1 unholy weapon. Any weapon that deals slashing or piercing weapon is possible, but swords are the most common. A metanoia may allow a creature to borrow one of these weapons while it still lives, but this is a boon rarely given, and the aeon typically expects the weapon to be returned after performing some deed important to the state of the Monad.

If it succeeds a DC 27 Will save, the target is merely shaken for 1 round; otherwise, the target is so overwhelmed with remorse that it is stunned for 1 minute. A creature that successfully saves is immune to that metanoia’s judgment of guilt for the next 24 hours. An evil creature suffers a -2 penalty on its save against this effect. This is a mind-influencing emotion effect and the save DC is Charisma based. Judgment of Innocence (Su) As a standard action, a metanoia can pronounce a judgment of innocence on a creature within 60 feet. If it succeeds a DC 27 Will save, the target is merely staggered for 1 round; otherwise, its movement speed is halved and it cannot make attacks or cast spells for 1 minute. A creature that successfully saves is immune to that metanoia’s judgment of innocence for the next 24 hours. A good creature suffers a -2 penalty on its save against this effect. This is a mind-influencing emotion effect and the save DC is Charisma based.
