Hello friends! It has been a while since I last posted on here. What have I been doing in that time you ask? Well, mostly I have been working on writing & editing a fantasy novel. But more recently, I have started working on something I think my DragonFable friends on here will be interested in.

Here I have the first eight pages of The Land of Rising Evil (DragonFable: The Roleplaying Game). This is a tabletop roleplaying game I have been developing for a while using the Genesys RPG system, bringing the world of Lore (specifically the version from DragonFable) to life in tabletop format.

I have already played one DragonFable campaign with this system, and it was fantastic. As I will be starting another campaign with my friends this summer, I decided to update the rudimentary rulebook I made before into something more official looking that I can share with others. These pictures here show a glimpse at what the book will look like (though I have a long way to go before it is finished).

I also have a couple more example pictures to show what the different sections of “The World of Lore” chapter will look like:

This is a big project, so it will take a while to finish, but I am very excited about it and wanted to share it with all of you. I have already gotten a little help from some of the other wonderful tumblrfable people on here, including @cyraen-ae, who helped me fix up the cover.

I will share other developments along the way, and of course I will share the final pdf with you all when it is done!

Note: I actually got the idea for this piece since, I think, last year when I saw @valorousowl say that they "thought Liddle was on one of those sail sled things." And then I was like, "Wait! That's a great idea!" only to then realize that Liddle is too poor to even rent one of those things, so normal sled it is! Other than that, I decided to upload before Christmas because I didn't want to clash with the schedule of Secret Xanta since I'm actually super excited to see what everyone made! To start, I want to apologize for using these tags for whatever I got to say, but I just felt the need to share. So, let's begin: Actually I should say that I don't know how to draw - and I mean it, my skills barely extend past stick figures, so I'm sorry for the overly-bad sketch. Ok now I can continue I've been trying to get into the DF fandom since I started playing it - and that's been nearly two years now. But I'll be honest, it's been a real struggle. Maybe it's the whole 'niche' thing, or perhaps the problem lies squarely with me, but, uh, either way, I still want to become a part of the fandom. So… I finally mustered the courage to give it a try here on Tumblr. I've seen some nice people here, and I'm really hoping that I can, somehow, finally join the fandom. Dragon fable - Hero of the past

Did some art for my Dragonfable character while ago, His name is PIZZA, for reasons that make sense but are currently irrelevant

For anyones interested in the abbreviated story, He is the hero of mechQuest However after the universe reset he retained a little more then most, his Name, a mechanical hand and ghosts of memory from a war that never was Now he makes his way through a world equal parts alien and familiar, in search of friends and foes he can scarcely recall save for there names and banners

Since typically soul weaver gauntlets have a stone on them - I assume the purpose of witch is to bind them somehow or act as a focal point of magic - I decided to place both stones on the same arm

Strangely he has no natural affinity for magic and can only use that of his soul ally, Lacking the innate gift for magic he stands entirely on the only gifts remaining, Valor and Cunning

My friends, the time has come.

As many of you know, I have been working on creating a sourcebook adapting the setting of DragonFable to the Genesys Universal RPG.

After a lot of work, I have decided to release the book in chapters, starting with Chapter 1: Character Creation!

This document is about 120 pages, about a third of the size of what I expect the full book to be. This has everything you need to create your characters, from a wide selection of the fantastical races of DragonFable to a variety of careers patterned after DragonFable’s various classes, and a wide selection of skills and talents to further customize your character!

Remember that this is a supplement for the Genesys RPG, so to properly play this game you will need to also have the Genesys Core Rulebook and a set of Genesys dice (or use the Genesys dice app).

I hope you have fun creating your characters, and I will see you again when I am finished with Chapter 2: Equipment and Gear! (In which we will explore the wide variety of weapons, armor, equipment, and magical artifacts available to characters in the world of DragonFable!)
