Holiday season is here for Vivienne and Hudson!

Vivienne and Hudson decided that it’s about time they hosted both their families together for the holidays. They prepared the most amazing spread for Harvestfest, and their families had an incredible time. It was a success and it is safe to say that they will be hosting again in the future!

the antagonist of her own story, causing most the problems in her life. she’s self destructive, pessimistic, stubborn, and can be a little bit selfish. she thrives in chaos, because that’s what she’s used to. it’s comfortable, and it’s predictable. stability freaks her out. she comes off as nonchalant, aloof, and confident. but that’s not the real naomi. she uses her carefully crafted persona and sarcastic, dry sense of humor to protect herself because behind the facade, she’s still just a scared, self loathing, and vulnerable little girl. she doesn’t like a lot of people, she can be harsh and judges too quickly. she does have a small group of friends that she’s close with though, they’re the only ones that get to see that soft side. she met most of them in high school. she’s a very loving and loyal friend if she deems you worthy enough to let you into her bubble.

naomi wasn’t always so guarded, but shit changes. the day after her 15th birthday, her older brother dylan passed away. he was the only person that she felt truly “got her.” she looked up to him a lot. he’s the reason she listens to the music that she does, watches the movies she watches, and has such a good sense of humor. he taught her how to draw, and she’s a pretty good artist now. she always wanted to be just like him. the day before he overdosed she told him she’d never forgive him if he let his addiction take him from her, and she still holds a lot of guilt for saying that. she didn’t mean it. she’s the one that found him laying unconscious on their grandmother’s bathroom floor. when dylan died, it felt like a piece of her died too. she was just never the same after that.

naomi leads a very hedonistic life in attempt to distract herself from the deeper issues she’s afraid to face. she doesn’t wanna grow up. she’d rather push all of that shit aside and use partying, meaningless sex with questionable people, and self sabotage to make those feelings go away. it’s not really working out that great for her though. she does have a few healthy coping mechanisms, like venting to her hairless cat scrunches. she also uses art as a way to get some of those emotions out, and it makes her feel closer to dylan.

The Burb Household

Spring, Year 1

In the verdant embrace of the Burb backyard, Jen's everyday composure gave way to a wild dance, her spirit seemingly hijacked by the green-thumbed whispers of the garden. It was a spectacle that would have the neighbors peeking through their curtains — Jennifer Burb, career woman and matriarch frolicking like a sprite among the shrubbery. The cause? A haunting fear of dreams unpursued, a specter now cavorting in the daylight.

This was not the Jen who strategized spreadsheets or orchestrated family breakfasts with military precision. This Jen was untamed, her laughter blending liberation and lunacy as she conversed with petunias and pirouetted past the peonies. It was as if the flora had imparted an ancient wisdom — or perhaps an existential joke — that only she was privy to. At this moment, the Burb family saga took a turn for the absurd, painting a portrait of a woman both possessed by her fears and momentarily freed from them.

Molly: *sighs* Do we really have to talk about it?

Camilla: *concerned* Is it bad?

Molly: Not really. My doctor just told me that I'm fat and I need to lose weight and all that bullshit.

Camilla: *rolls eyes* She's such a bitch.

Molly: And my mom still doesn't want to change doctors.

Camilla: Does it have to do with insurance, or does she still think that a doctor will force you to be "healthy"?

Molly: Mom gave up on the idea of me being healthy, and it's more because of the stupid insurance. I hate going to her because that's all she tells me.

Camilla: I'm sorry, Molly.

Molly: It's not your fault, Cami, and before you say anything else, there's nothing you can do about it.

Camilla: I know, but I still wish I could do something.

Molly: It's okay. Let's change the topic to Garrett. Did he finally ask you out, or is he being a little bitch about it?

Camilla: *giggles* He wasn't being a little bitch, Molly! He was nervous about asking me out. 

Molly: It's the same thing! But did he do it? 

Camilla: Yeah! I had to force it out of his mouth because he was shy and nervous, but Garrett asked me to homecoming!

Molly: *laughs* Garrett always acts like a cocky asshole, and when alone with you, he wants to get all shy and shit? That's so weird!

Camilla: *smiles* He's always been like that, though. He was confident and outgoing in middle school, but you get to see his authentic self when alone with him.

Molly: I guess he's even hiding behind a mask.

Camilla: Welcome to high school, Molly. We're all trying to fake it till we make it.

Molly: Not everyone, because we know who we are and don't need to change for anything or anyone. Hmm, that's weird.

Camilla:  What's weird?

Molly: I just thought I saw something out your window. 

Camilla: *pouts* Don't say something like that! 

Molly: *smiles* Sorry, I forgot that you're a scary cat, but listen, I think I've been watching way too many true crime shows. 

Camilla: *rolls eyes* I don't know how I'll sleep now. 

Molly: By closing your eyes and dreaming about Garrett. 

Camilla: *giggles* You're the worst!

Molly: *smiles* Um, actually, I'm the best because I made sure that Garrett knew you were single as fuck and got a date to homecoming. 

Camilla: I love you, Molly.

Date Night

Vivienne and Hudson enjoyed a much needed date night after a long week! The two of them try to get in as many date nights as possible since Vivienne has a busy work schedule, but no matter what they make sure to spend quality time together and continue to build their relationship. For this date, they visited Club Tropics for late night drinks & some fun on the dance floor. Every time they’re together it feels like the rest of the world disappears.

I was feeling horrible for Max missing his dad, and the fact we didn’t have an urn. I found a mod online that lets us purchase one and bind a ghost to it. We officially have their father’s earn! I’ve never felt like such a good sim mom before.

Roe: Don’t you know how to knock? That’s why there’s a door.

Marina: This house is my family home. I don’t need your permission to open any door in this house.

Roe: If this is your house, then you should be the one paying for it don’t you think?

Marina: I’m almost out of patients with you. Don’t test me. I need you gone asap.

Roe: Marina I don’t understand why I need to leave. I can stay here in my room. this is my first day off in a while and I would like to get a little more sleep before I go anywhere.

Marina: Did I ask you about what you wanted? I just want you gone! Also don’t come back until everyone has left.

Marina walks out, slamming the door before Roe has the chance to say anything else.
