Yo! Welcome to the casting call for the hottest, freshest, and awesomest simblr community competition! I'm your host, jonquilyst, and I am scouting out 14 unsuspecting teenaged Sims to compete in crazy, wacky (and maybe a little dangerous) challenges at this crummy ol' summer camp! Do you think your Sim has what it takes to win??

The Gist:

This competition is, obviously, based off of the Total Drama series (a show that's near and dear to me), but you do not need any background knowledge of this show to participate! The show (and this competition) functions similarly to a Bachelor Challenge, where contestants will be routinely eliminated until there is a sole winner.

This competition will also focus on the contestants building relationships with each other (hence the drama part, which is bound to happen when you put 14 teenagers together!)

Submission Rules:

Spots are first-come-first-serve, meaning the first 14 entries will be automatically in the competition

I'm hoping to have all 14 Sims by November 17th so I can get started possibly by my Thanksgiving break that following week, but this isn't a fixed deadline. (Please provide the link to DL your sims as soon as convenient. Ask me if you need help with this)

Your sim must be a teen

No occults; contestants must be human only (to prevent unfair advantages)

Contestants must not have high-level skills (they can have some level of skill but nothing above lvl 5; also to prevent unfair advantages)

Any level of CC is fine; just make sure to include it when you send your sim over to me ^^ (Nevertheless your sim may look different in my game since everyone uses different mods/presets/etc.)

Only one outfit per category please

Please give your sims a backstory. Describe what are they like, why are they competing on Total Drama Sims, etc.

Your sim can have any traits/aspirations

Here is how the competition will work:

The 14 contestants will be split into 2 teams of 7: The Screaming Llamas and the Killer Cowplants

The 2 teams will compete in challenges in attempt to win invincibility (safety from being voted off). The losing team will have to vote someone off (the winning team will not be part of voting)

This process continues until 7 contestants remain. Afterwards the teams dissolve and everyone competes individually (this is known as merge). This means that only 1 contestant can win invincibility; everyone else will be at risk for elimination

When merge occurs, all eliminated contestants at that point will be eligible to rejoin the game through a special challenge. The winner of that challenge will rejoin the game (bringing the number of contestants back to 8)

This process again continues until 2 contestants remain. In the finale, all eliminated contestants will vote for a winner

Challenges will occur half the time. The other half of the competition will be socialization days, where contestants are free to socialize with each other as they please

The competition will start with a socialization day first to establish relationships before the first challenge

If the numbers between teams get too uneven then a team swap will occur to one random contestant on the larger team

Voting will be determined by relationship dynamics and how everyone did in the challenge. Contestants who do poorly are more likely to get voted. Contestants who have a negative relationship with each other are also more likely to get voted. Conversely contestants who have a positive relationship with each other are less likely to get voted. The contestant with the most votes at the end is eliminated. All of this will be determined by a spinner (in case of a tie I will use a random number generator to determine who's out). This will also determine who wins at the end of the competition

This competition is mostly for the funsies, but whoever wins this comptetition will personally receive an actual reward from me! Whatever you receive includes, but is not limited to, one of the following options:

SHINE: A SIMS 4 MODELING COMPETITION

Have you ever wondered, " WOW MY SIM IS SMOKING HOT, THEY WOULD KILL IT AS A MODEL"? Well lookie lookie, do I have a competition for you baby!

Welcome to "SHINE" an upcoming next top model competition, where every week you'll submit an edit based upon a prompt! You are talented and the world needs to see you...SHINE!

The competition will span from the 15th of May-17th of July.

Hosted on Tumblr

Each weekly round will feature a theme all contestants will have to follow and complete

Having complex or access to editing software is not necessary but it's a bonus having it of course.

You can expect a fun challenge, with creative prompts to get your creative minds working!

THERE WILL BE 10 participants [15 at most if I get a lot]

Fill in this document with a questionnaire about your sim-> HERE [THIS IS COMPULSORY]

You are free to submit your sim publicly on Tumblr or submit your sim submission privately in DMs to me. All I ask is you tag the sim submission if publically as "SHINETS4" and tag me ofc at @gashface

THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS THE 8th of May!

You can only submit one sim.

If you drop out of the competition, you will not be allowed to join under any circumstance. This means you can go a week without submitting or however many but you won't receive any points but you are still in the competition. If you decide to drop out, that's final.

Any foul play, bullying, racism, homophobia, ableism or just overall being a dickhead will you GUESSED IT... get you removed immediately from the competition and disqualified.

You are free to be as creative as you want eg: changing hair or their style etc- THE THINGS YOU CAN'T CHANGE IS YOUR SIMS FACIAL STRUCTURE LOL OR SKIN TONE UNLESS WE DO SOMETHING SUPERNATURAL etc: FOR INSTANCE AND YOU MAKE YOUR SIM BLUE FOR IT. That is different obviously. If you are unsure, ASK.

Originality: How original or unique is your idea for the prompt; while being relevant to the week's prompt.

Story: This is where you earn points based on the description of your edit/idea for the week; and how thought-out it is

Execution: The editing/posing and overall feel of the submission [the image itself]

Style: Points related to the outfit/appearance of the sim related to the prompt and how fashionable or fashion-forward it is :)

SHINE: A Sims 4 Modeling Competition by @gashface'

Nicky's photos from a photoshoot where she was invited by a photographer friend.

- Nicky, it's time for breakfast! Mom's warm and gentle voice came from the kitchen. July outside. The sun is trying to get into the room through the tightly curtained curtains. Warm air blows through the open window, enveloping the entire room. - Nicky, now everything will cool down! Faster! Mom's voice sounded stricter, but still pleasant. - Knock knock, can I come in? Mom cooked the most delicious pancakes in the world, let's run for breakfast! - Dad says as he opens the door. Putting on slippers on the go, my dad and I run down the stairs to my mother, who was already waiting for us. - I already thought that you would not come and I would have to eat everything myself. Mom's voice sounds so gentle, with a share of laughter, that you want to listen to it for eternity. Breakfast is the best part of the day. At this moment, the whole family gets together and discusses plans for the day. - Today we will go to the conference, so you are at home alone today. The thought flashes through my head that today I can spend the whole day in front of the TV. I try to hide my joy and make a sad face. - Well, why are you sad, we know that you will watch “Top Model” all day long and will not remember us. - Dad said with a laugh and stroked my head. They know me too well, it’s hard to hide something from them, so after the departure of my parents, everything happened just like that. I did not leave the TV even for a second, so as not to miss anything, because becoming a professional model was my dream. Their gait, facial expression, posture - I absorbed everything like a sponge. All the girls were so tall, beautiful and very different, but still beautiful.

I always imagined how I go through the tests with them and how the judges give me the highest marks. Then I imagined how magazines sold out with me in seconds, how I tear off and close shows of various designers. Ah, dreams. I didn't know then what the future held for me.

Shine: A Sims 4 Modeling Competition by @gashface

Hello, everyone! This is my submission for the Shine Modeling Competition.

Babylon Beppu.

Babylon is currently eighteen years old and was born on June 28, making her a Cancerian.

Although she isn't aware, she is a fairy born of two ordinary townies. In my Sims Au, fairies are extinct and have been so for many years.

She was born in Glimmberbrook but was raised in Windenburg.

Her mother had given her up as an infant, and she was in an orphanage for three years before she accidentally wandered out of the orphanage while the caregivers were taking care of an uproar that happened between a few of the kids that were there as well.

The further she wandered, the more she realized she was lost and had no way of returning. As she was about to cry, she happened to bump into a stranger who was returning home from a grocery shopping trip.

Bunny Beppu. a young adult with two children of her own around Babylon's age. She was confused as to why the toddler was alone but watched her until her "parents" arrived. Babylon and Bunny immediately got along and clicked.

As the hours passed, it was the caregivers that arrived to take Babylon. That's when the woman learned that the baby was an orphan.

As Babylon wailed away, stretching her arms to Bunny, at that moment the woman decided she wanted the child to be part of her family, and after many procedures and papers later, she did.

She became part of the "Bunnies Pack" household with her adoptive werewolf father, adoptive human mother, and their set of hybrid twins.

She is the youngest child, and she is overly protected by everyone in the household due to her being the "baby."

Despite not being related by blood, she looks similar to her mother, Bunny Beppu.

At the time she was adopted, Bunny and her husband, Howl, weren't married yet, so she took Bunny's last name.

One thing about Babylon is that she is kindhearted and always wants to help. She is very naive as well, which gets her into awkward situations. That's why her family is so protective.

When a family member is going through a bad day, she always knows what to do and cheers them up, with simple words or actions. She is the big sun among the stars.

She is very creative and always has an idea. Whether it's good or not, she always follows through with it.

One thing she never considered was being a model. She always thought she didn't have the proper figure or height despite being told the opposite.

Despite being told that she should become a model, she always dreamt of becoming a baker and owning her own bakery.

EUGENE GOT THE FIRST NON SEXING KISS AND honestly good for him because he really is head over heels for this girlie .. ALREADY. he does not leave her alone. he cooks her dinner damn near everytime im checking things out and on top of that they do really just love being near eachother and being in eachothers company. its really sweet to see. i think hes the complete opposite of how her ex turned out and thatll eventually throw her for a loop. as time goes on the more theyre going to get to know Scarlett and things she is a little bit gatekeeping. eugene always treats our girlie like a princess though;) like he never doesnt ace his dates so far. he knows what he wants and thats scarlett and while it may be a bit rough for him seeing her with other people at the moment he probably maybe likes his heart a little bit stepped on sometimes haha ! i love him sm

Welcome to the casting call for the Sims Next Top Model !!

I wanted to do something incorporating other simmers in this community so I decided to do "Next Top Model" show but in sims ! I am looking for 10 sims to compete in modeling challenges! If you wish to participate keep reading

What it's going to be like: I'll be picking a theme and basically posing each sim and posting the pictures, then you guys will be voting for who gets eliminated each week ! I'm still planning out some other details on how to do this...

Rules :

Spots are going to go to the first 10 entries! (You can DM me to reserve a spot)

Your sim must be human and YA+ , there is no other requirements on this. They can be male, female, elders etc.

CC is fine just make sure to send the links to me !

You can choose a backstory for your sim, as to why they wanted to come on to this competition, but this is totally optional !

You dont have to create all their outfits, since they will never have the same one.

Gonna tell ya right now...

If you play Sims 4 and like that graphic style, you're NOT going to like #LifeByYou by Paradox Tectonic. Rod Humble, I think, listened to those who were unhappy with the direction EA went on Sims 4 and catered to them. He was one of those who had full direction on the way Sims 3 went when he was at EA and thus has leaned more towards that in terms of creativity.

I'm starting to think of this as Sims 3 rebooted with way better graphics. And with the assets and DLC, this is going to stomp Project Rene (Sims 5)'s ass.

I watched the teaser trailer this morning and HOLY ****! I was blown away by the opening shot. I'm getting shades of Cities:Skylines. This is going to take away the monopoly that EA holds on the life-sim genre and turn it on its head.

I hate to write some random rant, but I really wish players would start boycotting The Sims 4.

Each new patch/DLC brings more and more glitches and bugs which developers refuse to fix or accidentally(?) create more bugs to fix some. Like for example right now there is a missing moodlets bug that corrupts some saves and because of this these must be deleted.

DLCs (mainly kits) are bland, almost empty, poor quality and expensive junk while modders create huge CC packs and mods that are high quality and most importantly free and also they fix the bugs that EA made.

Still, I feel sorry for console players who don't have the option to fix/improve the game unlike PC players and it makes the game unplayable due to broken patches.

Then players are reporting to EA who gives empty promises that they will fix it and later next DLC drop and it's same crap. It goes on and on in a never-stopping cycle.

And what's the worst, what annoys me the most? That some players want more content into game and EA wants TS4 to continue on even after Project Rene (The Sims 5) is released. It's a huge red flag since what a horrible state the game is in right now.

If you have TS4 as your comfort game and it helps improve your mood, please try to play either previous The Sims games like The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 or a completely different game. The possibilities are endless.

I'm saying this (even I'm just screaming into void) bcs I just don't understand when everyone says EA is one of the worst AAA video game companies, people still buy their games and DLCs which are unfinished and buggy.

Name: Mandy

Location: Futuristic San Myshuno

Age: 21

Pronouns: She/They

Story: So Mandy is a heavily cyber-augmented girl studying Robotics at the University in a cyberpunk reimagine of the Sims world. In the world she lives in, cyber modification is really common for everyone. She has glowing eyes and while she's usually depicted with a human skin tone she is entirely blue metal underneath. Her fave color is blue so she always has blue on her in some regard. She has albinism. She has a really wacky fashion style that usually consists of oddly matched silhouettes. She's really smart, hence robotics, but has the tenancy to speak without thinking. She LOVES singing and is working on a side music career as she studies, but is struggling to balance her newfound music popularity with her studies.

Story: My sim is Parker. He's genderfluid but prefers he/him and sometimes they/them. He grew up in a small, very religious town where being queer and loud weren't acceptable things. Being both, he decided to head for Seattle when he was old enough. He's an artist and has dabbled in anything creative he can get his hands on, from drag to tattooing to graffiti, he's done it all. Self-expression is the most important thing in the world to him and he shows that in his style, his art, and his hair dye. And though he likes to cling to his heavy grunge and emo styles, he's never met a color he didn't like or a pattern he wasn't willing to serve with all his heart.

Location: Houston, TX

Pronouns: No specific pronouns but they refer to themselves as They/Them, She/Her and He/Him, occasionally.

Story: Dillion's story starts with a graffiti-riddled alleyway. Being abandoned by well-known junkies, a screaming baby was found by the police and then placed into foster care. It was not easy for the first decade of their life. A lot of blood, betrayals, and fistfights were not lost. Eight homes returning her that used to be intrigued. No one had really wanted a child that would barely talk, but also not know when to give up and back down. Until one day, the Carter Family had taken them in as a preteen and had not returned them. It's been history ever since. The adopted family was black and Dillion was as pale as could be, but the whispers did not deter them from growing even closer and loving each other. Dillion's quiet yet useful, bold, and confident demeanour has landed them two jobs: a mechanic and underground boxer by day, and recommended by their sisters in the fashion industry— a model by night. It is those same sisters that had shown them the "Shine" modelling competition and convinced them that it was good exposure. That Dillion was worth so much more than what they had. Dillion responded with a smirk, a shrug, and a "Why not?" They'll just let their body speak for itself.

Story: rin's a college student, an aspiring fashion designer, but most importantly - a loser!! <3 She dreams of creating fashionable pieces for everyone in the world, but gets too caught up in the details, and gets way too carried away .. so she mostly just makes (insane-looking) clothes for herself. she thoroughly documents the entire creation process online; her other hobbies include doll collecting drawing pet training making music cooking baking building furniture and honestly just whatever the hell comes to her mind!!! shes very very happy-go-lucky, sweet but a bit airheaded and also VERY loud :3

Location: Willow Creek

Age: 24

Story: Elizabeth Gil is the daughter of a famous fashion designer and a famous model, so she's known everything about the industry since she was very little. She always wanted to be a model like her mom and she would watch her during photoshoots and fashion shows. When her parents noticed her interest in the industry to started preparing her for her debut in it. Her first runway gig was at 15 years old for her father's spring couture show. She kept working under him for the next 3 years, barely catching a break, until she turned 18 and immediately left home and her career with her father's brand. She lost contact with her parents and nothing's been heard from her since then. In other news, the latest high-end model Eli Sims, known for her outstanding white hair, is opening the Chanel show at New York fashion week this evening, we wish her the best of luck!

A/N: yeah so basically my sim is a nepo baby that left her family,, changed her appearance and got back in the game all on her own. Her parents don't know she's modelling again, and every time her father has tried to get her on one of his shows she's declined, she does not wanna see them again bc of the awful way they treated her

Story: Growing up in San Myshuno with a very artistically inclined and supportive family, Ember has always taken to all things creative. Lead singer and guitarist of ‘The Gutter Rats’, they always found comfort in expressing themselves in front of an audience, so though their area of expertise lies in freelance photography; They have been curious as to what it would be like to be in front of the camera.

Location: Brindleton Bay

Age: 21

Pronouns: She/Her

Story: Charline "Charlie" Morel was born as the first of two daughters to an overly strict wealthy family. The Morels were a family of musicians, and every child born to the family was expected to be a musician, and those in the direct line were expected to inherit the family instrument manufacturing business (or whatever it was, Charlie really couldn't care less). Unfortunately, Charlie did not inherit her family's ear for music - she knew she wanted to be a creative soul, but honestly, she wasn't very good at any of it. Her parents forced her to take singing lessons because it was the only thing musical she was any good at, but she always wanted to do something else. She didn't know what that was until she graduated from high school - she wanted to model. She had tried taking pictures once, but quickly she realized she preferred being in front of the camera instead. So she packed up her belongings and moved out - not terribly far away, but out of her parents' clutches. Charlie is a stubborn, self-assured girl who is determined to prove herself and make a name in something other than music. Once she gets an idea in her head, she is determined to see it through to its finish - or crash and burn trying. (Even if her inner perfectionist cries out in terror at the prospect.)

Story: Since childhood, Nicky dreamed of becoming a model. The parents were not happy about this, because they thought that she would become a doctor like them, but they could not interfere with their daughter's desire and tried to help her in any way they could. At the age of 13, they sent her to a modelling school, where the girl stayed for 4 years. Not having received the proper result, the parents took Nicky out of there. She was in despair and did not know what to do now, because the modeling school took away from her all the desire to go to her dream. One day, Nika's friend, a photographer, invited her to his shooting to work on his hand. After this photo shoot, the girl again had a burning desire to become a model.

Story: Willow is a new coming Simstuber. She is a mother of one & married to Irving Young. She loves to make art and travel and make woodwork. Willow is a very cheerful woman and she also loves taking photos. As friendly as she seems, she doesn't trust others easily. Willow hopes to become popular and rich. Willow always had an interest in modelling since she read magazines as a child.
