Alternate takes on an "Ultimate Lucky Student"
1- Someone who managed to get accepted to Hope's Peak with an actual Ultimate talent, while simultaneously winning the Lucky Student raffle. (Bonus points if the Luck helps supplement the other talent!)
2- An Ultimate Good Luck Charm in which their luck spreads to the people around them. Probably has problems with fake friends.
3- The reverse of #2. Luck that functions like a siphon, sucking the good/bad luck from the people around them. If something good happens to them, something bad will happen to the people around them, and vice-versa.
4- Someone whose luck is dictated by a/some lucky charm(s) they keep on their person, and is thus highly protective over those charms.
5- Someone who rigged the lottery in their favor (either for and is actually something like the Ultimate Cheater or Ultimate Spy.
6- A genuinely normal person with no luck cycle.
(I'd appreciate it, if you come up with other takes on a Lucky Student!)

Danganronpa: Reversed Time (DRDT Opposite AU)
Tumblr media
DRRT is the opposite AU of Danganronpa Despair Time! It's basically just all of the characters in DRDT having their opposite personalities - or at least, they're all just wildly out of character.
So ya! Here is everyone, left and right.
Ace Markey - SHSL Jockey Ace is an incredible jockey, having won dozens of awards for his talent... However, people tend to find his lack of response a bit unnerving. Ace seems to have little to no emotion or expression, being neutral in many circumstances.
Veronika Grebenshchikova - SHSL Horror Analyst Veronika Grebenshchikova is constantly looking for the thrill of being scared, leading to her interest in horror fiction. However, upon attempting to share her findings, many of those who are close to her have taken quite the disdain for such topics. So she is less inclined to share anything in terms of horror, embarrassed about her past tendency to get carried away when talking about horror.
Arei Nageishi - SHSL Bowler Arei Nageishi made her debut in the bowling world as a teenager by winning multiple bowling championships. Though she may look cute, she doesn't make any effort to try to impress anyone. With good sportsmanship, many find themselves relating to Arei in some way, especially in the way where she doesn't find a need to constantly integrate with others, and is fine standing off to the side.
Julia Rosales - SHSL Effects Artist Julia Rosales, famously known for being Maribella Rosales's daughter, specializes in theater special effects and has worked on famous musicals and plays in her life. However, many of her notable roles are actually with her mother in movies, even if they do not correspond to her ultimate. There are rumors saying that Julia does not like this line of work, but she and her mother have denied these claims.
Rose Lacroix - SHSL Art Forger As the ultimate art forger, Rose Lacroix is able to paint copies of famous masterpieces that are so realistic that many mistake them for being the real deal. She owes this talent to her photographic memory. However, her memory can also be seen as a curse. Unable to relax, Rose seems to constantly be thinking of something, even if that something is unpleasant. She can often be seen trying to keep herself busy, as if she's trying to not think, but failing.
Alexander Matthews - SHSL Rebel Despite his looks, Alexander is very passionate about what he does. He earned his ultimate by constantly projecting his voice against what he deemed as wrong, often breaking the status quo. However, his passion has a habit of going south, as he gets angry with many people. Just know that if his jacket goes around his waist, he truly means business.
Levi Fontana - SHSL Personal Stylist His appearance may be intimidating, and good for reason. Levi Fontana is not afraid to say what is on his mind, even if the ways he says it are unprofessional. Her goals seem to differ from day to day, but he likely does have good intentions, even if the ways he does these are a bit... unconventional.
Teruko Tawaki - SHSL Lucky Student The protagonist. Despite being the ultimate Lucky Student, it seems like the only luck Teruko has is bad luck. Accidents constantly plague Teruko and those around her. Despite this, Teruko holds a strong trust for many people around her, trying to find the best in people. Sometimes, she even tries to justify people's wrongdoings, especially for her peers.
Hu Jing - SHSL Zither Player Hu Jing is an incredibly talented musician who specializes in the zither. It's said that whenever she plays, she can bring tears to those even the most unemotional. However, it's not like many have had the opportunity to hear such a song, as Hu is an incredibly cruel person. Having unknown motivations, she seems to love bringing people to their worst. Hu possesses a very nagging personality, and once she sees a target, it's hard for her to let go.
Charles Cuevas - SHSL Chemist There's no doubt that Charles Cuevas is very educated and talented in his field of study. However, he does not see that as an excuse to be cruel or superior to others. He is incredibly patient with others, being the perfect teacher. It's said that if he gives you a lesson, then you can understand the material within the night. Some do complain that he can be a bit condescending, but very few feel this way.
Arturo Giles - SHSL Plastic Surgeon Arturo Giles is a plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic surgery. Despite this, he is a very caring person who doesn't seem to see the difference between ugly and beautiful. If he does then he simply does not show it. Seeing nearly everyone as equals, it's been said that he sugarcoats things to a concerning degree, especially if others would call the person in question "ugly".
Eden Tobisa - SHSL Clockmaker Tired and sarcastic, Eden is seen as a rather unapproachable clockmaker. Though she is increasingly skilled in her work, she seems to dislike customer interaction and avoids it as much as possible. Instead, she gets absorbed into her work, avoiding interaction as much as possible. Eden is rarely ever emotional, relying on logic much more than necessary. However, it still has it's payoff, doesn't it?
Min Jing - SHSL Student One of the top performers, Min has rightfully earned her title as the ultimate student. Or, that's what the public seems to think. However, much of her talent actually relies on last-minute preparations. Despite this, Min truly knows what she's talking about; she just focuses on the main ideas rather than individual points.
Whit Young - SHSL Matchmaker It's easy to mistake Whit for anything else aside from a matchmaker. Trying to make light of things and crack jokes, he often finds little to no positive responses. Because of this, he seems to have a severe lack of confidence, often second-guessing himself. Oddly enough, this guaranteed even more success for his clients, seeing as how he found a need to back his claims with facts instead of focusing on his intuition.
David Chiem - SHSL Motivational Speaker David is a motivational speaker who has motivated many people with his speeches. As one would expect, David is very optimistic about just about anything. Though many people suspect him to be very pessimistic and lazy, many sources prove this to be wrong. However, more rumors seem to have popped up, claiming David to be more self-absorbed than he let on. Just like the past rumors, these claims are unreliable.
Nico Hakobyan - SHSL Pet Therapist As the ultimate pet therapist, Nico possesses an incredible ability to work with animals, working with their owners to grow a stronger bond. Nico loves their job and especially loves seeing how happy the owners can become. They seem great with customers, striking up friendly conversations with them. However, looking beyond the surface, it seems that sometimes Nico has never heard of the word "enough".
MonoTV A strange robot with a television for a head. MonoTV is the mascot and "host" for a strange TV show called "Danganronpa: Despair Time". It makes sure that people know it's in charge, being oddly responsible and almost acting like a "parent" to the more chaotic cast members. Also, it claims to be a cat, despite having an appearance more like a dog.

Dangandoodles (mostly naegamigiri, ramblings of a crazy man under the cut)
Ok so I was hit with a jimmy neutron brain blast and it went “what if despair disease but dr1” and was instantly slammed in the face with “Naegi gets the same flavor as Nagito cause luck boys except Naegi does not handle it well”
I don’t care about canon fuck canon Naegi actually has two talents and one of them is shsl house husband (I don’t know much about v3 but Shuichi Saihara is the naegamigiri kid in my head and my heart)
That one vine yknow. Let Naegi be a little shit he just got sent to his own death. (Also I love how if you get the bad ending alter ego just lets Kirigiri die lmao) also a what if Naegi fell badly when he went post execution dumpster diving. Mans trapped under a very real very desk shaped desk.
Steal your gf’s clothes!! Do it!! Her fit is yours now!!

SHSL Disaster
It had started small. A broken item here, a trip there. Her interest hadn't been piqued at all-at first. Sure, her calculations couldn't predict stupid luck, but who cares that he ate dirt to dodge something worse? Not her.
Then, even though she watched it all happen, events that she still couldn't explain started happening. She watched him, she saw the car, the dog, and the flying arrow (of all things), so how did he end up in a tree?
Ryoko couldn't tell you.
She couldn't tell you.
Ryoko laughed, and laughed, and laughed until she cried and still didn't stop laughing. For once in her miserable life, she couldn't understand something. She truly, utterly, couldn't predict something.
She needed him. Ryoko needed Makoto Naegi. She decided to be his friend, since that would give her easy access to his Luck.
Thankfully, even if she had been a serial killer, Makoto would've tried to befriend her. Probably. It wouldn't be impossible... he really was that nice.
And so, she observed him, saw as unlikely, unpredictable events happened around him.
It was bliss. Heaven. It didn't matter what happened, so long as she remained entertained. And like a puppet on strings, he did as he was told. His Luck grew, her constant observations pushing it to its limit.
It was a game of adaption. His Luck versus her calculations. Ryoko predicted and predicted, and for three days, 2 months after their friendship, she thought she won.
She called every accident, every incident. She wasn't growing bored, though. No, even worse: she was disappointed. Watching him had been the most fun she had in so long, and yet even that couldn't remain exciting-
Then they "met" a vampire in the woods. Well. More like the vampire kicked their shit in and tried to eat Makoto. "Tried" and not "did." Because the forest caught on fire right after the monster sank its fangs into his neck. A tree fell on it, causing Makoto to roll away and the vampire to burst into flames and die instantly.
Ryoko looked at Makoto, blood pouring out from the two large wounds. Some flesh still clung on. The vampire was a messy eater, not like those anime ones who only left two dots. Yikes.
Lost in thought, she patched up his wounds (he made a habit of carrying a first aid kit on hand, especially after an explosion to the gut a week ago), smiling as she did so.
She hadn't won. His Luck evolved once more. Drool leaked out her mouth, her breathing erratic.
She loved this, she loved him.
So, so much.
Luck, too, is a Talent. A skill to be honed. Without realizing it, Makoto has been doing exactly that thanks to Ryoko.
Makoto: man what the hell was that dream right?
Also makoto, seeing red eyes and fangs in his reflection: oh okay imma go cry in a corner now thanks mirror bye mirror.

Why I don't like the self-proclaimed-SHSL-Hope trope that Danganronpa has going on[SPOILERS]:
Something that Danganronpa does and that genuinely annoys me is the trope where someone from the killing game takes the role of SHSL Hope as a way of self-love[Naegi Makoto for THH, Komaeda Nagito for GD and K1-B0 for KH], so I decided to make a commentary on my dislike of it.
The main reason why I generally don't like it is because of the route it takes when it comes to the motive behind:
The problem that these characters have in common is their lack of self-worth that ultimately leads them into taking leadership as a form of giving themselves any kind of value.
It all started with Makoto that, unlike his counterparts, is given the suggestion of becoming SHSL Hope by Kirigiri Kyoko as she believes the reason why he came to Hope's Peak is to put an end to the SHSL Despair. The decision of taking on the title has it's roots from his first title of SHSL Luck which he was given after winning the lottery. His negative view of himself further develops as he finds himself 'surpassed' by his classmates as well as 'guilty of their deaths' [the Danganronpa 3 anime verifies this statement in the despair arc]. The true reason why he takes the title of SHSL Hope is to prove to himself that he is able to 'make up' for his classmates deaths[by taking full responsability of his class and all that happened during the killing game], rather then to bring everyone hope(which is still a motive of his, but in this case he is FORCED to show everyone hope).
In Nagito's case, the motives behind his actions are easy to point out. His self-hatred first occurs with the title of SHSL Luck[as both he and Naegi question the logic behind it, making both feel like frauds] as well as when we are presented with the fact that his life is expected to end in less than a year[stated in his FTE's]. This makes Nagito think that he is worthless and that he should be used by the others as a stepping stool, making him 'take the title' of SHSL Hope as a way of giving himself a reason to believe he is worthy of something.
With K1-B0 the lack of self-worth comes from his title of SHSL Robot, as he feels dehumanized, feeling which, unlike his counterparts[which would supress/agree with it], he tries to adress by helping the masses learn about 'robophobia'. In chapter 6 K1-B0 is willing to take on the burdens of SHSL Hope and destroy himself and the academy just so that he can feel as if he did something of worth, unlike the other chapters.
It is heart-breaking to see these characters in such a light, but I shall move forward and tell you who I think embodies the title of SHSL Hope best out of the three protagonists left: Hinata Hajime, Akamatsu Kaede, Saihara Shuichi.
In my opinion, Saihara Shuichi is the one that is able to seize the title, for I find him and Kamukura Izuru closest to a Yin-Yang relationship, their opposing tropes being united by their complementary personality types.
The reason why I think that the other two aren't able to reach the title is because of Kaede's selfish reasoning[forcing Shuichi into a promise he can't keep in a attempt to free everyone] and Hajime's intent of becoming SHSL Hope as a coping mechanism against self-hatred[same case as Makoto, Nagito and K1-B0].
After Kaede's death, Saihara takes on the role of a bledding heart hero, opposing to Kamukura's emotionless anti-hero status, in order to help everyone get out of the killing game. As Saihara tries to create the perfect path, Kamukura destroys in order to find it, Saihara's seemingly selfish act proving itself as selfless and Kamukura's seemingly selfless act proving itself as selfish. It is all a battle of Hope and Despair, a battle between a man from which everything was taken and a man to which everything was give, the one thing that Saihara is able to achieve and that Kamukura isn't being happiness.
Despite the differences, the two of them find common grounds, both being introverted men whose lives are purely controlled by the wishes of certain people close to them[Kaede and Junko]. Both are expected to take burdens too hard to carry and lead everyone to a brighter future, point from which their paths part, trying to reach for opposite ends of the spectrum untill they converge at the middle into the final answer: hope and despair have to coexist in equal amounts so that humanity can truly thrive.
In conclusion, I dislike this trope because of the fact that it doesn't evolve the characters in any way, only leaving them in a miserable light even if that isn't needed, which is proven by the(possible, but sadly not cannon) dynamic between Shuichi and Izuru.

nagito, hajime, and izuru with a shsl florist s/o
nagito komaeda, hajime hinata, and izuru kamukura with a shsl florist s/o
⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆
here ya go! this one is pretty long, i got carried away writing for these three, they're just my absolute faves
i liked writing this, flowers and flower/color language are honestly one of my favorite things to look into! it's always really interesting and i would highly recommend looking into it as well
[ fun fact about color language: henry the eighth and anne boleyn wore yellow to catherine of aragon's funeral. it looks like a sign of respect to her, since yellow is the color that symbolizes grief and mourning in catherine's home country of spain, right? but, to most people now and back then in europe, yellow is considered a happy, bright color. so they were not-so-secretly dissing her, poor coa ]

🍀 – nagito adores your love for flowers. even outside of him admiring you for being an ultimate, he finds something oddly soothing seeing you take care of such delicate, beautiful things.
🍀 – when you first became close, even had you started dating, he would refuse to be in the same room while you were taking care of your flowers; he was wholly convinced that him even being near you while you were working would cause some great disaster to happen.
🍀 – "ah.. the invitation to watch you work is always appreciated, my hope! while someone as below you as myself shouldn't have the right to deny you, i wouldn't want my luck to inconvenience you."
🍀 – it took a lot of convincing on your part.
🍀 – "no, nagito, a flower pot won't suddenly fall on my head."
"no, nagito, a flower won't wilt and die as soon as you step into the room."
"no, nagito, a flower won't grow into a giant carnivorous plant because of you. that's scientifically impossible."
🍀 – when you did manage to get him into your flower nursery, he was entirely in awe from how colorful it was. all of the flowers, sprouts, and buds were thriving and healthy. suddenly, nagito was more upset by the fact that he refused you for so long.
🍀 – you'd often ask for his help, with small things that he deemed simple enough not to mess up. whether it be grabbing something from a high shelf so you didn't have to get a step ladder, grabbing the sprouts that were in plastic containers for you so that you could transfer them into flower pots, things like that.
🍀 – once, you offhandedly told nagito that both flowers and people benefitted from talking to the plants. some things about carbon dioxide, improving mental health; nagito doesn't remember the exact details. he did keep it in mind though.
🍀 – you'd asked him to water the flowers while you went to go get new fluorescent lamps. it didn't take you long to return back to your greenhouse with five lamps in your arms, pushing the door open with your hip.
when you did, you saw komaeda crouched down next to the table that the sunflower sprouts were on. from what you could see, he has a fond smile on his face as he watered them. one, two, three, four, five seconds for each sprout; just as you'd told him. it made you smile a bit as well, seeing him so serene.
"you're so lucky to be taken care of by such a wonderful person." he hummed to the baby sunflowers. nagito didn't even notice you standing there, cheeks flushing as you watched him gush to the sprouts fondly.
"i'd pray to all the stars in the sky that they'd care for me as tenderly as they do you." nagito said, "it would be an honor for such a kind, gentle ultimate to treat me in such a way."
"i could."
he jumped, clutching the handle of the watering can as he twisted to stare at you like a deer in headlights. the way his cheeks flushed red was adorable as he exclaimed your name in a sheepish tone. "disregard what you heard, someone as worthless as me doesn't deserve to speak about you in such a way! please forgive me!" he rambled with an apologetic bow. it only made you smile wider as you strolled to stand at the other side of the table, letting the door to your lab close.
"it's okay, nagito. i meant what i said, though." you hummed casually, placing the lamps on the table and bending down to get the extension cord. you didn't see him blinking at you, flustered. "e-excuse me?" he asked, confusion evident in his tone. it made you giggle as you stood with the extension cord in hand. "i'd be happy to take care of you the way i do the flowers." you told him honestly, glancing at his blushing face as you plugged the fluorescent lamps into the extension cord.
nagito went to speak but you piped up again, knowing what he was going to say, "you deserve it. i love you and i'd love to treat you with the care you deserve, angel. anytime."
it made him stutter and make incoherent noises as he tried to find something to reply with, to refuse you with, but ultimately he just sighed and let a smile grow on his face.
"thank you, my clover."

🍊 – hajime enjoys your passion for your talent. watching you settle down and focus on what you're doing is somewhat interesting to him. it often leads to quiet moments between the two of you where you work under hajime's fond, adoring gaze. if you notice him staring, no you didn't, he doesn't stare. that's weird, and hajime's not weird.
🍊 – very early on in your relationship, hajime thought that all things flowers would be the best gift for you, given your talent. he'd gotten you flower themed clothes, flower plushies, flower themed jewelry, anything he laid his eyes on that was flower themed or had a flower on it. if you don't like the gifts he'll lay off, of course, but if you don't tell him to stop or tell him you like them then you'll be showered with gifts constantly.
🍊 – something that he noticed early on was how you'd look through a thick book as you were preparing people's flower arrangements. when he'd asked, simply out of curiosity,  he learned that flowers had meanings. that was something that intrigued him, so hajime made you sit down with him and teach him as many flower meanings as he could remember.
🍊 – the book you taught him from, and even let him borrow, was one of your own making. each page with contents on it was laminated and written in your distinct penmanship, a pressed flower next to a description of what it meant when you wore it or gave it to someone. there were even little doodles of the different colored variants of the flowers, and what those different colors meant.
🍊 – hajime kept his own notes from your book, studying it like a textbook. he'd thought it was.. silly, to give you flowers as a gift. but he was told you would appreciate it nonetheless.
🍊 – then, there was a box. medium sided and biodegradable, left in front of the door to your greenhouse. you didn't order anything, nor did you request supplies from hope's peak. and.. there didn't seem to be a note with it, either.
you brought it inside regardless of your confusion, placing it down on your work desk. curiosity killed the cat, after all. you used a pair of garden scissors to slice the tape holding the box flaps together, putting the tool to the side as you lifted one flap and peered inside the box. the first thing you noticed were the flowers, underneath a piece of paper that looked like it was ripped from a notebook. you picked up the note first, recognizing hajime's handwriting immediately,
' hi y/n, happy six month anniversary!
natsumi pressured me into getting you something big like this. she's a very intense person, as i'm sure you know. not that i wouldn't have gotten you something nice if she didn't tell me to, but i got nervous that she would make good on her threats to castrate me.
and you're probably not thinking it, but i'll say it anyway: i know it's kind of stupid to give the ultimate florist a bouquet of flowers as an anniversary gift. i hope you enjoy the gift regardless.
don't read further until you open the gift box. '
you smiled as you placed the note on the table, picking up the small bouquet of flowers. three pink roses surrounded by pink carnations, wrapped in baby pink cotton fabric and tied together with a red ribbon. you had a feeling that he put some thought into the flowers, given that he'd taken your book and still hadn't given it back yet. it made you laugh a bit, thinking about hajime being bombarded by your class to give you something.
you softly placed the bouquet to the side, reaching inside the box to get a smaller one. it was similar to the box people place rings in, only a bit bigger and wider. the velvet was soft on the pads of your fingers as you pried it open, a soft gasp escaping you as you saw the beautiful jewelry that lay inside. a necklace, golden chain connecting to a small pink carnation charm. next to it was a golden bracelet that connected pink roses to each other.
the flowers on the jewelry were beautifully carved and colored, looking very high quality. part of you wondered how hajime was able to get these, but then you remembered that he's pretty wealthy, given that he's paying to be in the reserve course. before you could get lost in your thoughts, you remembered to grab the note again.
' assuming you opened the gift box before reading this ( if you didn't you ruined the surprise ), i hope you like the jewelry. natsumi helped me pick it out, it wasn't that expensive so i bought it with my own money. i love you, but i won't become indebted to the yakuza for an anniversary gift.
anyway, from your book and a lot of googling, i learned that pink carnations symbolize a few things. admiration, fascination, and gratitude, most prominently. those things perfectly describe how i feel about you, how i've felt about you even before we started dating.
i admire how focused and keen you are when it comes to taking care of your flowers, it's fascinating watching you work, and i'm forever thankful that you chose to date me out of anyone else at hope's peak. anyone else in the world, really.
the three roses obviously mean love. you know that, everyone knows that. i chose pink ones to match with the carnations, as well as the fact that they have a similar meaning. flower meaning based on their color is interesting, thank you for teaching it to me.
and thank you for the best six months of my life. you've made things so much more enjoyable and comfortable for me, and i hope i ( somehow ) improved your quality of life the way you have mine.
i appreciate you. i love you.
i don't want to write too much more, i'm running out of space and my pencil is getting dull. i hope you enjoyed the gift, find me when classes are over so that i can give you your book back.
happy anniversary!
( p.s, natsumi says that you better like the jewelry or else you're insulting her taste, which she will beat you up for. )
sincerely yours,
h. hinata '

🍎 – izuru was intrigued by you, for the simple fact that you managed to find solace in such a mundane task like taking care of flowers. flowers were hard to come by during the tragedy, any good things were hard to come by, but you still managed to keep and take care of such fragile life.
🍎 – he likes to think it was his ultimate luck that made him able to find you, such a simple person. you had much more patience than him, to be able to tend to plants in the same way and wait the same amount of time for them to grow every time, just to have them around. though you did use some to eat or use for medicinal purposes, most of them just sat in their pots or vases looking pretty.
🍎 – izuru inserted himself into your life, just to observe you like you were a guinea pig in a cage. why did you tend to the flowers, why that out of the many much more interesting things to do during the apocalypse? kill, steal, destroy, out of everything, why flowers?
🍎 – he didn't understand how it could just… be enough, for you. to watch life grow during such a terrible time, to keep something alive and nurture it while everyone else was focused on murder and destruction. it made sense to him, but it didn't at the same time.
🍎 – so, izuru decided to be a bit more hands-on with his observation of you. he'd stay with you and help you tend to the flowers, see what you found so much interest in. and after about a month of this, he was starting to see the appeal. not in the tending of the flowers, but with you.
🍎 – he didn't think he could experience emotions such as love, fondness, or care, but izuru was proven wrong when he spent time with you caring for the flowers. watching you water them, keep them alive, talk to them. sitting with him and letting him quiz you on flower meanings and care steps from your book, it was so.. domestic. the actions themselves were not at all particularly interesting, quite repetitive, but he was interested by the feelings they brought him.
🍎 – he'd suspected that the people who performed the surgery on him didn't do their job properly when he first noticed feelings of disgust instead of indifference before meeting you, but he didn't know they did things this inefficiently; to the point where he could say he was falling in love with you. albeit diluted, definitely not as intense as normal people, izuru could pinpoint all of the feelings you made him experience.
🍎 – you cared for him almost as kindly as you tended to the flowers. one of your favorite things to do was pick some, ones that had heartfelt meanings that almost made him flustered, to braid into his hair. it was pointless as they'd just wither and die, but it calmed you and was therapeutic for izuru, so he let you.
🍎 – the latest time, you'd braided red peonies into his hair. izuru knew you didn't take your flower choices lightly, and from memory he knew red peonies conveyed love and respect, among other things. it didn't surprise him that you chose those flowers to put in his hair, but it still made him feel nice.
you weren't awake, it was too late at night for you to be. izuru didn't sleep well, he was plagued with sleep problems and nightmares that annoyed him enough to keep him awake in an attempt to stave them off. to occupy himself this time, instead of simply watching you sleep or getting up to pace the house you two made your sanctuary, izuru sat on the edge of the bed and began taking out the braids you'd put in his hair.
it was a tedious process, given that he was moving slower than usual. izuru moved his fingers delicately to unweave the flowers from the braids, slightly smooshed but still alive, if not a bit wrinkled. he laid them on the bedside table as he took them out, simply shaking his head a bit to get used to his unbraided hair again. izuru never attempted to smooth his hair out again; that was something he left to you.
grabbing the flowers, izuru got up and spared a single glance at you before he strolled out of the room and into the kitchen.
he set the flowers on the counter, opening a drawer to grab a few things. a red ballpoint pen, scissors, tape, and the thin sheets of plastic he'd scavenged from an abandoned crafts store. returning his attention to the book, izuru flipped past the pages already filled to the first blank one.
grabbing the peonies off the counter, he ripped most of the stems off and placed the flower heads meticulously onto the book's page. then he cut one plastic sheet to the appropriate size, placing it over the flowers before closing the book on top of it. he pushed it with his hands until it was as flat as he could get it, proceeding to neatly tape the plastic sheet to the paper.
picking the pen up and clicking the point out, he began writing.
' red peonies - love, respect, honor, passion.
genus: paeonia.
family: paeoniaceae.
withering time: two hundred eighty-eight hours / one week and five days.
their flower choices are as predictable as always. however, they didn't do one large braid this time, opting to do smaller ones throughout my hair. it felt nice, the moment was peaceful.
i find that i have biases toward them that i cannot explain. they wear a necklace with a pink carnation on it as well as a bracelet with roses on it. seeing those simple pieces of jewelry on them makes me feel something warm in my chest.
at this point it is safe to say that they had a relationship with the previous occupant of this body, and that the scientists who performed my surgery didn't cut off all connections to past memories and emotions. expected of those without the proper talent to be able to do so properly.
despite the confusion this causes me, i never find myself particularly bored or annoyed by them or their actions, or the things they make me feel. most likely due to the existing bias, but i can say certainly that i am fond of them at this point in time.

SHSL BIKER MAKOTO
Tumblr media
Portrayed with a doodle of biker! Komaru. His boots to god damn big for his feeties.
Leads a gang called 'The four leafed clovers"! They tend to carry out vigilante justice, like stealing mistreated animals or beating the shit out of abusers.
Komaru is his right hand woman. Their parents are suprisingly supportive of their kids and act as surrogate parents to the younger members of the gang.
Btw Komaru and Touko are totally toghether and go on dates that consist of assaulting homophobes
Makoto is still very friendly and sweet and most people are suprised at him having such a violent talent. Hes a bit more mischevious and confident than in the og game.
Accident prone and he does not have his luck to help him out, so he has a lot of little scars.

OK lemme once again present my mondo pitch BECAUSE WHILE I REALLY LIKE KOMAEDA AND I THINK HE IS ALSO VERY CRINGEFAIL, i still think mondo is more cringefail ummm (spoilers for thh and sdr2 btw) so just going into the specifics of their murder trials super quick since it provides a good contrast. KOMAEDA is like really really fucking smart. It can't be understated that komaeda, while he is very sopping wet, he is also INCREDIBLY cunning and knows EXACTLY how to milk his luck for all its worth when he wants to. His trial makes the characters flip flop between whether its not a suicide MULTIPLE times and it takes the group a WHILE to bust out of that accusation. his plan nearly succeeds multiple times before the truth comes out practically last second. And this isn't even mentioning trial one when we've only just begun to pull the thread, or fuck, the final dead room for that matter. Or how he's always like ten steps ahead of everyone in SOME regard. MONDO'S trial is like the complete polar opposite where aside from chiaki (and considering the circumstances of that i barely consider that a murder outside of the kg's rules), mondo is the only person in the series to my knowledge whose murder isn't premeditated. Absolutely NO plan until the moment He knew Chihiro was dead, and even then most of his coverup was to benefit her and not him, and this is made like. super duper clear. The only reason his trial becomes even remotely complicated is because a third party outside of him and Chihiro INTERFERES. Not to mention that one of the main catalysts for his entire story crumbling was a total slip of the tongue. He even just straight up admits it before the last piece of evidence can be presented. He doesn't even really have a BREAKDOWN, he just kinda. gives right up once he knows its all over. There are plenty other mondo traits that make him a sopping wet cat of a man but a lot of people have said them already so here's like. a list. this one's for you, mondoblr - has been rejected by ten girls because he shouts when he's nervous - can't hold a hamburger - toxic masculinity (very cringe) (I can fix him) - doesn't know that not every guy owns a motorcycle - likes both dogs and cats but is insecure about the cat part - one of his favorite gifts are the roller slippers hes so lame - can't win any poll ever i think that counts here - literally always overshadowed by Kiyotaka always - please watch a compilation of all his lines in the english dub of the anime he sure does say some words!! Anyway thats it thats my mondo propaganda heart smile.
Mondo Owada for SHSL Cringefail propaganda!

Doodle I did at work of SDR2 Next Gen
Some details below, I don’t have all their names yet.
Tw: small segment of abuse, it’s okay she’s good now
Komahina
- Nagito’s ultimate luck helped them adopt a child that looks like a perfect blend of the two
- He’s really smart and picks up lessons quickly but he doesn’t apply himself. He tends to slack off and support his friends from the sidelines.
- Nagito and Hajime disagree a lot about how much freedom to give their son. Nagito appreciated the freedom he got when his parents died, and Hajime wants to be much more involved than his own parents in their child life.
Kuzupeko’s first daughter: Harumi
- Her official title is SHSL Self-Defense expert but her more accurate title would be SHSL Punisher.
- Having been raised at a young age to protect herself from various entities wanting to do harm, she got really good at hurting people
- Fuyuhiko is currently encouraging her to forget about the Yakuza life (for now) and live a normal life
Sondam’s Daugher: Lillian
- As the SHSL Poet, she wrote a famous book of poems in her native language. Whenever she tries to translate it to English or Japanese, the words become really weird. She's most famous of her macabre poems.
- She loves her family very much, but she hates her country. After the tragedy the country became a hellscape full of criminals and psychopaths. It breaks Sonia’s heart her children can never see their country how it once was. Sonia is doing her best to transition to a democracy but it’s taking time.
Ibuki’a son adopted by Sondam: Lucifer
- Ibuki got knocked up and doesn’t know who the father is (it’s twogami’s). She didn’t want the baby so Sonia (who was also pregnant at the time) offered to adopt them. Ibuki’s pregnancy went a lot smoother thanks to Sonia and Gundham helping. Ibuki still visit her son as the fun cool aunt. Twogami eventually realizes that's his son by studying his facial features but choose not to confront Lucifer.
- He is most likely the one to ascend the throne if Sonia can’t transition her country to a democracy in her lifetime. As the SHSL Vet, he will fix this country just like he fixes animals.
- The boy is super flirty (he gets that from Ibuki). He's currently dating Komahina's son but they're poly. Lucifer is fascinated by goth themes so he does bond with Mikan's daughter about that.
- On a meta level: Lucifer is a study on nature vs nurture. How much of his personality comes from his adoptive parents and what factors does he take from his biological.
Speed round for everyone else
- Teruteru’s daughter is nothing like her father but she does laugh at crude jokes. Imagine the sweetest bell of the ball suddenly snort laughing when someone calls her a “Master Baker”.
- Mikan adopted a lot of sick kids as a way to repent. After a while Hajime had to confront her because Mikan adopting kids she knew would die was doing terrible things to her psych. The one child that did survive was an girl born with one arm.
- Mikan’s daughter became very comfortable with death after all her siblings died (from natural causes). Being SHSL moritician allows her to make death, cute. She enjoys being a mortician because the dead doesn’t mind waiting for an one arm professional to finish
- Kazuichi’s son is Kazuichi if he had a good dad and women role models. Kazuichi is the best dad y’all, I feel it in my bones. UNFORTUNATELY, Kazuichi's son becomes the most upset when he finds out Class 77 involvement in the tragedy. Their relationship is a little strained right now.
- Mahiru’s adopted daughter was born to an abusive father who beated her whenever she asked for anything. When Kotoko (pink warrior of hope) saw this she tased the shit out of him. Mahiru offered to foster her and eventually ended up adopting her. Hiyoko was very adamant she never wanted kids so the two broke up. But of course Hiyoko still visited Mahiru, they were still friends. And Hiyoko was a littttle nice to Mahiru’s kid. Oh the kid has an interested in traditional Japanese so I guuuesss Hiyoko can help with that. The kid isn’t thaaat bad. Mahiru wants to try make their relationship work again, Hiyoko is willling. But no way is Hiyoko going to raise the kid. (In case I wasn’t clear, Hiyoko insist she didn’t adopt the kid but she totally did. Hiyoko is really good at teaching her to be more vocal with what she wants)
- Kuzupeko’s second daughter, Ryo. On a meta level, she’s an exploration of someone who wants to grow up too fast, compared to her parents who were forced to grow up too fast. She thinks she’s the most mature one of the family.
- Akanidai’s son is the youngest. Akane for a long time didn’t know if she wanted kids and Nekomaru was very understanding. Akane enjoyed the idea of children because she loved her younger siblings but she wasn’t sure if she would be a good mom. Eventually Akane said fuck it and jumped Nekomaru. Their son was born a little sickly but when he eats he feels better. Nekomaru monitor him well because eating is more of a placebo than a solution.

@chaosmultiverse sent in: Okay slightly inspired by that ask about Mikan, what are his thoughts on Makoto Naegi?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i've actually thought about this a lot! i mean, they're sort of weird mirrors of each other in a way. i think komaeda in a lot of ways is just an exaggerated version of naegi. don't get me wrong, there are also a lot of things entirely different about them, but given komaeda was supposed to make people think he was naegi at the start it makes sense they share a lot of qualities. naegi doesn't think all to highly of himself, he's humble and deems himself to be average. meanwhile komaeda has absolutely awful self esteem and plays down all of achievements. naegi is our little hope guy who has a lot of faith in his friends and wants to overcome despair. komaeda is a hope freak who encourages everyone to overcome despair and has a lot of faith in... not his friends, but their talents.
i think if komaeda and naegi ever interacted in a pre-despair world komaeda would have almost a similar way of looking at naegi as he does hinata at the start of dr2. something that annoyed me when komaeda met naegi in dr3 is how he was like "oh my god your luck is incredible... amazing... so much better than mine." i really don't think he would see another lucky student and think they were somehow more talented than him. komaeda is shown to have extreme faith in his luck. while he doesn't find it a very remarkable talent, and while he's tormented by this good/bad luck cycle, it is still his talent. he knows damn well he's lucky and that it is a "skill" of his. just a passive one.
i think komaeda would view naegi (pre-despair) as his equal. and frequently compare himself to him. they both got into the school by pure luck, they share a talent, they're unremarkable outside of being lucky, they both did their research before coming to the school. while komaeda would talk down to naegi (given he thinks they are the same, meaning naegi is trash like him... but better than the reserve course), i do think there is potential for komaeda to actually see him as a friend. komaeda could never truly think of the other shsl students as his friends, even if he may call them that he puts them up on too high of a pedestal. and he thinks reserve course students and people without special talents are trash. but naegi is exactly the same as he is.
i think it would make for a really interesting dynamic. maybe even a little wholesome, which is strange for komaeda. i would imagine it'd be basically the same as how he treats hinata at the start of dr2, minus the "oh wow you must have an amazing talent!" stuff. replace that with "well you're trash like me" comments.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i imagine komaeda actively watched the killing game broadcast. after all, these are symbols of hope fighting against enoshima's despair! she said that she made the killing game partially as a way to crush the hope of anyone still holding onto it. but komaeda is a special motherfucker who doesn't get his hopes crushed by just seeing symbols of hope die. because if they were killed off or got caught that just means that their hope wasn't strong enough. i imagine he was on the edge of his seat at every trial. he was probably thrilled after every execution, not because the killers died but because of the amazing hope to survive that everyone else had.
throughout dr1 naegi is the one making the final cases and piecing together the majority of the clues. even though komaeda probably solved the crimes way before he did, he probably got super excited every time someone pointed out something he noticed. the shsl students at their finest! it's very easy for me to see him becoming a bit of a naegi fanboy. i imagine he was devastated when he got falsely accused by that trial (since there's no way he would fall for the trick), but super pumped when the execution didn't go the way monokuma intended. and when naegi turned out to have actually survived and challenged monokuma to one last game? oh boy!
there is no way komaeda didn't become naegi's #1 fan. especially when the gang started calling him the shsl hope. komaeda has always wanted more than anything to see a hope that could conquer any despair. and as far as he is concerned, it seems that naegi has the potential to be that hope. after all, he killed junko. how could komaeda see him as anything other than the true embodiment of hope?
although komaeda deeply regretted not being able to experience junko's death in person. hence his whole plan in udg. we know that he believed in komaru solely because of her connection to naegi, but i do actually think he might've been fibbing a little bit on his reasoning. from dr2 we know his philosophy revolves around the idea that you can't become more than what you were born as. "a small dog can't become a big dog no matter how hard it tries."
i believe that he put komaru in the spotlight here as a way to draw naegi's attention. he knew the future foundation was working in the area. byakuya had been captured after all, but the key player he wanted hadn't been brought in. and he made a deal with fukawa to ensure komaru stays in the city and isn't able to escape.
he was trying to create a war, create a second junko, all so he could be there in person when hope rose up and overcame it all. i fully believe he wanted naegi to be that hope. i cannot see any other reason why he would be so keen on komaru specifically being the "hero" of this story even when she's an unremarkable person in his eyes. he's just a naegi fanboy! he wants to see his hope in person.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
after the events of dr2 i imagine he keeps his naegi fanboy mindset. he is in awe of his hope. to him naegi is hope itself. the true embodiment of it. everything he could have ever wanted. that doesn't mean he wouldn't cause problems for naegi and the future foundation if he was able to (which, i doubt he'd have the opportunity but if he did... he would). komaeda wants them to rise up against any and all adversities, especially naegi. he wants that hope to grow and grow and become something no one has ever seen before.
i've mentioned before that post dr2 komaeda would probably have a very... half-assed hope that the remnant despairs would be able to also rise up and conquer despair. that he might still pull his admiration bullshit but it is very quickly dropped the second they do or say something even mildly against what he wants. i think that disingenuous attitude of his is because of naegi.
it is naegi's hope that the remnants would be able to become better people. that he could fix them. that they would be able to recover from all of this and move into the future. the whole point of the neo world program was to rehabilitate them. and even though it didn't go exactly to plan you can't say naegi didn't make huge progress. and he clearly hasn't given up on them. he actively supports the survivors in reawakening everyone and wishes the best for all of them.
with naegi being such a strong symbol of hope for komaeda, someone who has proven time and time again that he always overcomes the odds despite how low his chances are... komaeda really wants to see naegi's hope blossom. he doesn't want his friends to better themselves because he cares about them. he wants to see them embrace the potential they possess, the potential naegi sees in them (that komaeda thinks naegi sees in them). he wants them to move forward and embrace hope because that's what naegi was trying to get them to do.
i think komaeda to naegi is what the fandom thinks komaeda would be like to kamakura. he is obsessed with what he represents, in awe of him, desperate to see him at his full potential. naegi IS hope. and he fills that role just like komaeda would want him to. not to mention he's kind and humble... what a guy! so selfless! he is deeply in love with that man (in that weird komaeda hope-love way).

Just wanted to ask about your talentswap pics for Nagito and Chiaki. Does the Tragedy still happen in it, and if so does either or both of them become part of Ultimate Despair? Also if its only one of them, would Chiaki still die or would it be Nagito in her place. And lastly how are their relationships with their classmates altered in the AU?
I honestly didn’t think anyone was gonna remember my talentswap au much less ask about it in 2023 you have no clue how excited I am to write this lololol
I also wrote a little too much so I’m adding a read more because this got quite lengthy
Okay admittedly though, I didn’t think too too deeply into this au so some of what you asked is what I’m speculating could potentially happen probably.
The tragedy: Does in fact happen ✅ though not in the same way it went down in the games/anime
I’m not sure who will be the Ultimate Despair seeing as what really spurred Junko into becoming who she is was her ultimate analysis talent that basically made everyday life a general bore to her who can quite literally predict 99% of outcomes accurately. The only real excitement she got was when chaos struck and caused disorder in the usual schematics. She learned to thrive in not only her own perpetual despair of boredom but also in the despair in others—becoming the Ultimate Despair we know today. On top of which it’s because of this talent she was able to pull off the tragedy (and most of her schemes) to begin with so if I swap everyone in this au that would include her too. Not sure what unlucky soul would wind up with the Ultimate Analyst talent, but much like how Nagito’s talent greatly impacts the character’s personality and entire backstory, so too would this one.
What I do know is that Junko would most likely NOT be the Ultimate Despair in this au. Though, that being said, she won’t be an entirely nice person either. I do believe that Junko has a personality type that leans more towards the mean side regardless. Her obsession with despair just made it extreme. (Although if Ryouko is anything to go by, perhaps she is a relatively nice person. ‘Course it’s hard to judge considering that Ryouko forgets everyone within 24 hours and so her relationship with others makes it hard to establish how Junko would treat them in the long term).
Something to note though is just because someone gets the analyst talent doesn’t mean they’re guaranteed to be Ultimate Despair. After all, everyone’s getting swapped and maybe a character winding up with a wildly different talent impacts them enough to take up that title instead. Which is why I say the tragedy will most likely NOT go down the same way Junko orchestrated it. Which brings me to my next point:
Chiaki does not get sacrificed. For a couple of reasons: she’s not the class’ beacon of hope as her lucky talent causes Chiaki to become closed off in order to keep everyone in a far enough distance from her so they don’t get hurt. As such she’s more like the class cryptid at best. She’s still kind and values life, and most of her classmate see her like an aloof stray cat they’d like to befriend someday but runs away whenever you get close, but the bad luck she’s experienced has left her rather pessimistic and anxious. Also, since the Ultimate Despair isn’t Junko and might do things differently, not sure how many (if any) class 77 students are going to be sacrificed in the way Chiaki was.
Regardless, SHSL Gamer Nagito certainly wouldn’t be sacrificed seeing as he uh…doesn’t have the best reputation among his classmates. His woefully pitiful social skills, interest in concerning hobbies (*cough*bomb making/playing with literal fire*cough*), and romanticizing of people’s struggles (because he still loves hope in the form of how greatly it shines at the end of a storyline—and the harder the level=the more struggle one faces, the more satisfying and brighter that ending will be), doesn’t lend itself well to making friends irl. As such he wouldn’t be their beacon of hope. Just the creepy gamer guy.
More specifically he’s a rich kid who hasn’t struggled much in life besides his (unintentional) self-imposed isolation from others to focus exclusively on his games that crippled his social skills. As such, Nagito isn’t as humble nor as self-depreciating as OG Nagito is. You probably won’t like him as much as the original because of it. Yet, he’s still just as manipulative—if not more, to get what he wants, and for all his lack of social skills, he does have a way with words when he’s trying to give a “pep talk” to another player—I mean person—to keep them from quitting (if he finds the effort worth making/their storyline interesting enough). He’s grown a little tired of playing games alone (read: lonely and bored).
On the tangent of gamer Nagito though, he really would lend himself well to being a mastermind and perhaps, maybe to some capacity he is one. Or maybe even THE one. One of the ones anyway. Wouldn’t it be fun to see the world plunge into what resembles an apocalyptic survival game and seeing everyone deal with the most unimaginable struggle to date and watching their storylines play out? See who persevered? See whose hope was too weak and died like the disappointing npcs they are? But wouldn’t it be even more fun to be among them, to be player and participant?
Which is why, I feel like Nagito played a great part in the tragedy in that he helped make it happen. Though, I don’t believe he was the only mastermind. This was a team effort. Nagito ISN’T the Ultimate Despair after all. Just their co-mastermind. Because he would really like an immersive survival game experience where stakes are high and there’s much to lose. I really wouldn’t put it above him to request to be turned into a remnant too. After all, he has more fun playing the game than making it—it wouldn’t be fair if he started off with an advantage while everyone else already had the disadvantage of their morals being corrupted right? Course Nagito already had loose morals as is so how effective his remnant transformation is can be questioned. How much is he affected and how much is he playing the part for the sake of the game? Who knows~ A good player doesn’t reveal his skill set right off the bat y’know.
Chiaki, meanwhile, will potentially become a remnant as well. I say potentially because I feel she’d be a sort of in-between the way Original Nagito was. Not fully despair fueled as her other classmates, but also not entirely trustworthy either. This is due to her constant living with despair due to her luck with a combination of her innate kindness that fend off some of the effects of remnant-fication. As a remnant, she goes back and forth between wanting to cause despair and wanting to help her classmates (and the world) get better. In a way it sort of makes her one of the more unstable remnants, in that you don’t know when she’s here to genuinely help and when she might do something in a wave of despair. It’s like a coin toss and you gotta hope you’re lucky and get her in one of her helpful moods.
This has gotten long enough but dang this au really does bring me lots of joy to explore. If I had more time on my hands I would get into other characters and what their swaps are and how that’s changed their backstory but for now take this instead.

Another talent swap drabble.
Mukuro could barely keep track of Makoto as he dodged and ducked through Hiro's punches. Even when he stood in place, his form turned hazy, like distortion on a camera.
Mukuro could only watch in awe, observing a battle many could only dream of, and many more would pay with their own limbs for. She could see Kyoko using her analyst Talent, and Chihiro writing down in her notebook.
"Makoto will lose. This type of fight doesn't suit his Talent," Kyoko drawled, then turned her attention elsewhere, acting as if the fight had already ended. Maybe, in her eyes, it did.
Chihiro didn't answer, and neither did Mukuro, although she had her questions. Hiro was strong, yes, but he couldn't land a single punch, how could he win?
With one punch seemed to be the answer.
Makoto flew across the gym, body hitting the padded wall loudly. Mondo cursed but didn't follow. Instead, he turned his attention to Hiro, who was laughing at his victory.
"Wow, little dude, that was funner than I thought it would be! You're pretty good at this." He put his hands behind his head, trying to play it off, but Mukuro could see the bruises, and the... blood? How was he bleeding? Neither of them used weapons...
The SHSL nurse said the same thing, although Mondo used far more curses than Mukuro did. She still couldn't get over how someone as scary as him was a nurse...
Or how he wasn't paying attention to Makoto at all! Seeing as he focused on Hiro more, Mukuro ran to Makoto's side, hands floating uselessly as he rubbed the back of his head. He flinched when he noticed her but smiled all the same.
"Oh, don't worry, he didn't punch that hard," makoto laughed it off, but mukuro found herself stunned.
"Didn't punch that hard?! YOU WERE LAUNCHED ACROSS THE ENTIRE GYM!" She screamed, and Makoto flinched again. Mukuro was too panicked to notice it, "How could-"
"Chill, chick. Bro is just like that." Mondo pulled her away with a single hand on her shoulder, deceptively gentle. "I've never met someone more hard to kill than this piece of shit."
Makoto, of all responses, blushed at that remark, "I'm not that hard to kill!"
"23 stab wounds," Mondo deadpanned. Mukuro died inside a little.
"Only half were fatal!" Makoto said, thinking that was a proper defense. Mukuro died inside a lot.
Known swaps
Mukuro Ikusaba: SHSL Luck
Makoto Naegi: SHSL Assassin
Yasuhiro Hagakure: SHSL Martial Artist
Kyoko Kirigiri: SHSL Analyst
Chihiro Fujisaki: SHSL Writer
Mondo Owada: SHSL Nurse
Mukuro's sense of normalcy kills itself every time Makoto opens his mouth.

Kamukura kamukura yass kweeeen small infodump of a crazy man under the cut
ok so small elaboration on how the Kamukura Project and The Lucky Student Lottery worked exactly: The Lucky Student Lottery was a way of finding a person with a luck talent (since I feel like that isn't something you can just give someone, no matter how many ethics laws you ignore) and force convince them to participate in the project (AND if things go perfectly, they have a perfect student they can parade around who's already considered an ultimate/shsl) Komaeda was the first Lucky Student selected, and was actually totally down with participating in the project (stepping stones/sacrificing one's self in the name of hope and all that) but sadly, he found a heads up penny just before going in for the project (what are the odds?) and causing an earthquake the second they began the procedure. They quickly deemed his luck to be far too dangerous and just not worth the risk so they just kinda sent him back to class (with plenty of threats along the lines of "We Will Fucking End You If You Tell Anyone About Anything You Saw Here") Next school year, and Naegi just so happens to be the new Lucky Boi. Unlike Komaeda, he very much did not want a fucking lobotomy, but was basically forced into signing the consent forms and going through with it. Believe it or not, just like Komaeda, he also happened to find a heads up penny before going in for the procedure (again, wtf are the odds?? esp in japan lol) That's where the similarities with Komaeda's case end, with the procedure going ridiculously well, and the person once known as Makoto Naegi being locked away within his own mind to make room for the artificial Super High School Level Hope.
