I had to let some time pass before I wrote this. The discourse is heated and polarized.

You say: "ABG ... Asian Baby Girl, doesn't mean the same as it used to" ... it might not for you but it is rooted in misogyny and racism. Does that mean the n-word doesn't mean what it used to? Or the word bitch, cunt or whore? It's ok to use those words too when rapping about women? What about fag or fairy? Ok? No. Not okay.

My first impression upon listening/watching the first time: I did not like it because of fugly white boy, Jack Harlow. I've never liked him, I've never liked his lyrics or his vibe. He is the type of overdone, asshole misogynistic male bullshit rap that had become unavoidable for a while.

I don't have ANY problem with JK singing about sex, having sex, shooting his jizz to the sky or any of that. BRING. THAT. ON. I don't care if the song is about phone sex or masturbating on camera or whatever.

What I do have a problem with is a white guy saying one girl (the black girl) is boring but two girls (add the white girl) is cool. I have a problem with the concept of having women lined up ready to fuck as some sort of thing to laud. And they are all dressed alike, so that means he doesn't care about them, they're all the same. Just another pussy to fuck. Diversity, yay. Not.

I will listen to the alternate version of the song but I will never listen to or stream the version with the rap.

I love Jungkook. I love that he's exploring his sound. He is creating music that speaks to him RIGHT NOW in his career. Do I like that he's put this song out? No. But that's my own personal opinion.

I can't speak for Jungkook, a 26 year old Korean man. He has his own systemic and structural oppressions to deal with.

I am not going to second guess him. He will see the feedback and take it into consideration, I don't have to guess on that, I know he will. They all see what goes on.

I wanted to give JK the benefit of the doubt with Seven. I don't have a problem with Seven the song, but its the hype surrounding it that is perpetuated by the fandom that he is being pushed in the western market. This song proves it.

All that being said, BTS and each individual member all exist within an industry that is heavily influenced by the western market.

As such, every song each member releases will add to the colors that the team will be able to use when they come back together as a group. No one will be surprised if BTS utilizes a hardcore western rapper in the future now. It is just one more color in the mix.

But as my friend says: "Shoot for another Coldplay....They don't need to be lifting people up. They need to find peers. Which is why I would support a Lady Gaga collab with Tae. Which is why Hobi asked for J Cole. That's a peer, man. I can handle Pharrell with them.

The benchmark for peers, to me, is another artist who has nothing to gain from collab'ing with them. An artist who holds their own, on their own, and collabs to let each participant have fun, shine, and grow a bit. Not some newbie who needs the boost. The only exception to that would be if they worked with one of their juniors at Hybe."

Reader is known to be a trouble maker, yet very loving and self-sacrificing towards her children as she was willing to only eat the fruit from her grove to have enough money to feed them as well as in her final moments was willing to sacrifice her own life to save her daughters (She gave the money that was enough to save them both) and told her children in her final moments that she loves them before being shot in the head

I can see Jack instantly loving Reader for her special soul (And a beautiful color), Hercules smitten by Reader’s honorable deeds for her children, Buddha liking how Reader makes him her delicious Tangerine meals and Loki just being a creep 🤣

I love Bell-mère, she’s the definition of the ‘cool and incredible mom’ that everyone would be lucky to have or even meet (I BAWLED after her death, she’s just so cool and died too soon 😭)

I'd like to learn how to identify edible-vs- toxic mushrooms...

I believe, it's a skill acquired with time. You can use the internet, books, apps, the knowledge of other people to learn mushrooms.

There are thousands of mushroom species, so, I think, first you have to learn your local edible mushrooms. Whenever you're not sure what it is, even with slightest doubt - do not take it.

Probably, one the best and most nutritious of edible mushrooms are boletes. There are many species and subspecies of these guys (boletus, leccinum, suillus, xerocomus), most of them are edible.

(Boletus radicans, Boletus calopus, Tylopilus felleus are bitter. Porphyrellus porphyrosporus, Strobilomyces strobilaceus are also inedible. Boletus satanas is toxic.)

Then there are chanterelles:

Chicken of the woods:

Honey fungi:

A lot of russula species are edible but they're not too nutritious and some of them can make you sick.

Lactarius sp. are edible, too, but then again woolly milkcap can be slightly toxic, if not prepared properly. Some of lactarius mushrooms are said to have carcinogens in them.

In the end, you have to study the mushrooms. Read about them, look at the photos and videos from every possible angle, learn about the stipe, the gills, the pores, the color, the smell. Don't go mushroom hunting alone, if you have no previous experience whatsoever.

#my freshman year of college my best friend and I were both a wreck #and on opposite sides of the country #during winter break I made the decision to share certain information with their parents bc I was actively concerned for their safety #they were deeply upset about me betraying their trust like that and asked for a break in our friendship #(a few months later (which happened to be early March 2020. lol) they did shrooms and realized they wanted to talk to me again lmao)#(so we talked and cried and now we’re still best friends almost 4 years later)#and my birthday is in january so it fell right in the middle of the period we weren’t talking #and my friends at school actually put together a really lovely party and it remains to this day the best bday party ive had #(most of my bdays have been sad and shitty lol)#but i just remember being drunk in my friends dorm room with my friends all around me #it was the end of the night people were just kinda chatting in little groups or whatever #and i was lying on my friends bed just miserable bc all I could think about was how my best friend was supposed to be there too #bc my parents were going to fly them out for the weekend as a present #and obviously that just got dropped #and id been talking to my friends about it kind of but all I wanted was my actual best friend #I left them a very embarrassing drunk voicemail that THANK GOD they deleted without listening to #but it’s just. the quiet agony of being angry and sad and hurt because your person doesn’t want to be ur person anymore #and still wanting to talk to them about it. still needing them to comfort you and give you their advice and insights #i don’t want to talk to anyone else about it. they’re not you.#sigh. anyway. ive actually lost several close friends for various reasons ranging from reasonable to bullshit #and it always blindsides me how much I want to talk to THEM about it #so thanks mitski for expressing that so artfully #op
