BoonRed– Taiya Handou

He is a master of development and modification. He works as a "delivery man" with the cars he builds. When he likes a person or a thing, he says, "I love it!" or "I bought it!" He has the ability to see things for what they really are, and he has a strong competitive instinct that leads him to make quick judgments. Even if there is a risk, he says, "Isn't it better to take the risk?" He is the type of person who enjoys taking risks in a positive manner. He is adept at using both rods and guns, and is good at creative fighting according to the situation.

BoonBlue– Ishirou Meita

An "informant", a master of information gathering. Usually a freelance spy. He always considers risks and makes calm decisions. He is meticulous and cynical. He fights alongside Taiya as if it were a "job he had contracted". He has excellent, dynamic vision and is good at precise movements. When he uses a gun, he is a one-hit wonder.

BoonPink– Mira Shifuto

A "driver", an expert in driving and maneuvering. She usually works part-time at various stores. Her pedal work technique is so good that both Taiya and Ishirou are amazed. She is a mood-maker and a troublemaker. After meeting Taiya, she began to show her true core strength. She fights intuitively with his unique sensibility.

BoobBlack– Jou Akuse

He is a "police man", a rookie cop who is passionate about justice. He usually patrols the town on his bicycle as a uniformed police officer. He is a serious and aggressive person. He is more hard than soft. He is confident in his physical strength. He mainly likes to use the rod mode of the Boom Boom Change Axe.

BoonOrange– Kenba Bureki

A "procurer," a master of procurement. He is a man who can be relied on to procure what he needs from anywhere. He has a gentle and soft manner. He is elusive and never shows his true feelings. He is more soft than hard. He is good at fighting by taking advantage of his opponent's movements. He mainly uses the Axe Mode of the Boom Boom Change Axe.

Friends of Boonboomger

Boondeals Boondrio (?) – Also known as "Boom Boom"

A car-shaped alien who fell to earth after being wounded. It resides in the garage of Taiya's secret base at his home, and usually lives in humanoid or human-sized form.

When in human form, he wears a self-made sun visor on his head. He is a first-rate mechanic, and he and Taiya, who likes to tinker with machines, get along well and consider each other to be best friends. He is also good at housework, and for some reason often makes curry.

Boonboomger's set of equipment was made with the help of Boomboom and Taiya. Taiya and his friends call themselves "Boonboomgers," meaning "Boonboom and his warriors. They monitor Boonboomger's battles from Taiya's garage and sometimes support him remotely.

Boonboom can grow to a giant size. The power is drawn out when the Boonboomger rides on it. It can combo with various Boonboomgers and fight huge enemies as a Boonboomger robot.

oh my god saw your tags i would love any and all quarry lore you have to offer. tell me about her...

HEEHEE so the first toku quarry was the daiei kogyo quarry in yorii, saitama (though i believe it might be owned by a different company now?) and throughout its use as a filming location and i think to this day it's still an active quarry, so it might look different depending on what year the show you're watching is from. from what ive read it's kinda far from residential areas and since it was in use the loud noises from the explosions wouldn't have been out of the ordinary anyway.

read moring cuz i ended up rambling

mt iwafune, the current toku quarry, was in active use as a quarry from the edo period right up until mid showa when concrete became more widely used, so demand fell and production declined. it's kinda hard to find details on when exactly mining stopped entirely, but i found a tripadvisor review mentioning it was still ongoing on the north side of the mountain (the usual filming location is the south side) in 2018. i think it's stopped entirely at this point though.

the cliff stage association (who hold a concert in the quarry every year!) was formed in 1999 and the earliest appearance of mt iwafune im aware of was in gingaman around the same time so that's probably when it became available for location hire! i can't say if it's because the yorii quarry area was unusable or if iwafune is just a more ideal location, but i believe iwafune has more convenient amenities given that it's a closer to the nearby town and it was already kind of a tourist destination for religious reasons. they're about the same distance away from tokyo.

it's been a minute since i watched any ~00 toku but i think the switch from one to the other as the usual quarry was probably pretty gradual because they don't stop using the yorii quarry completely. there's other spaces that are used for filming too that are a bit more built up, for example im pretty sure the place the shinken red vs shinken blue scene is filmed is part of the yorii quarry?

most of my sources are jpn pilgrimage blogs so apologies if it turns out ive said something completely wrong but that's what i know rn!

you can also get your photo taken in front of an explosion in either quarry btw. i think it's also the only way to get into the cliff stage because you can't go in without permission

What are your favorite sentai name schemes? I tend to prefer team name + english color (Shinken Red, Gosei Blue, etc.) Basic as it is, it works well.

Ouroboros' Bio & RP Hooks

Model Ouroboros the Nameless

The violin who's strings strain against his own destiny.

Age: Appears 18 (Is actually 25 as of the end of DMC5)

Height: 5'11

Race: Pure demon (experimental homunculus)

Relations: Mundus (Creator), Vergil (Origin)

Marital Status: Single and uninterested.

Moral Alignment: Very grey heavily leaning evil. His mentality is similar to Vergil's, but with the added scarring of what he is. His focus on surpassing Vergil robs any chance of care he could share to another.

Personality: Very cold and self centered. He constantly wants to prove himself better than everyone and everything around him. However due to his very narrow experience in what life has to offer, he does have an oddly sharp curiosity. It was almost child like.

What would stand out the most is his inner turmoil with being a copy. Everything about him is Vergil all the way down to his memories and personality. He loves poetey-but wait. No, it's Vergil that loves poetry-yet he still loves it. But if it's just what Vergil loves, then what does he love?

He is Vergil, and yet he's very much not.

This drives him mad. He second guesses everything about himself and tears himself apart over this. Being Vergil's copy almost felt like he was possessed by Vergil himself. He can't figure himself out and this fight to find his own identity causes him an immense amount of suffering.

Likes: Sparring, poetry, reading, music (plays violin, cello, and piano), Ieido, flowers (roses, forget me nots, lavender, lillies of the valley). Basically everything Vergil liked, minus cooking. He's exceptionally bad at cooking.

Dislikes: Pessimism, sleeping (usually results in nightmares if his constantly racing mind somehow manages to sleep), when he's forced to trust someone he otherwise doesn't trust, anything that could trigger haunting memories, anyone that's overly loud and rambunctious,

and ESPECIALLY being referred to as Vergil or Ouroboros. He hates him and what he is himself and the fact that he was never given a true name.

RP Hooks After Background

Background

This crimson replica of Vergil is actually a pure demon. A homunculus to be specific. He's a creation of Mundus in much the same way Gilver or even other Angelo's were. This one, however, was the closest to perfect Mundus managed to create before his demise, and who he wouldn't dignify with a real name. At least 'perfect' in the sense of trying to replicate Vergil's person during his imprisonment. This is why Model Ouroboros' looks and clothing resemble more so of Vergil's younger self.

Even so, he still wasn't perfect. Due to the volatile nature of being an imperfect experiment, there were times where wounds wouldn't heal properly and where parts of his body would degrade for no apparent reason. This forced the demon to often wear bandages here and there, much like Gilver did.

He does wield a shinken that was similar to the past Yamato (As in DMC3) in looks and colour. The difference was that the dragons were replaced by a pair of tangled snakes eating each other's tails. One red and one blue. The symbolic nature of the Ouroboros is also tattooed on his upper back. Part of it is visible at the back of his neck when clothing collars aren't present to hide it. This one, however, is laid out in the pattern of Solomon's Knot.

Other than that, there were other marked differences in looks between he and Vergil. That was mainly his stark white skin and hair, and bright red eyes. For the sake of being less conspicuous, he does glamour the pigments of his body and clothing to look more like his mirror. This can be undone if his concentration is harmed enough, and will simply drop the guise if another can sense through it.

Being such a replica also meant he had Vergil's memories, mental terrors, and even his personality and pride. The worst part about this is that he was keenly aware of who he actually is and would never experience the growth that Vergil went through when he split in two. A disposable weapon and nothing more, which really didn't do wonders for someone with superiority complex.

He hated what he was and he wanted nothing more than to defeat the Sparda twins, especially Vergil. Their existence conflicts his own, so he wishes them gone. His pride and superiority complex also leads his want to better his mirror, too. He is better, in his mind. He deserved Vergil's place in the world, and he wanted Yamato back.

Yet, as much as he hated to admit it, he did feel a sort of kinship for the twins. Towards Dante since, although they have never actually met nor are actually related at all, the memories of him were still very real to him. Also towards Vergil due to being his copy and having an unexplainable sense of longing towards him. He had no idea why he was so drawn to him, but it also came with an unexplainable fear. Jealousy was a double edged sword after all. In fact, it's highly possible he may have had a helping hand in the original's escape from hell.

These conflicting emotions will always be a problem to him, as much as he would never admit to it. Further more, the nature of his creation may one day lead to something unpredictable happening between he and Vergil. He is plainly labeled after the Ouroboros.

In every alchemical step, there is a volatile to be fixed and a fixed to be made volatile.

Ouroboros represents an active/fixed upper part fixing a passive/volatile inferior part which, in turn, dissolves and feeds the upper part. Not only once but countless in a never-ending story.

RP Hooks

Vergil: Do you play Vergil? If you do, then enough said, assuming you read Ouroboros' background. Yes I will even allow him to die / become absorbed in our thread. How and what that means to either him or Vergil is entirely up to you.

Mundus & Higher Minions & Relatives: Due to specifically being created by Mundus, Ouroboros has no ability to disobey him to any degree. He isn't even capable of talking about him foully and will be unwillingly obedient. This brainwashing-like state of control is extended to anyone that may be given or inherit the ability to do so. That includes anyone with blood relation with Mundus or any high ranking underling of his that outranks Ouroboros.

Demon Hunter: It's plainly obvious that Ouroboros is a demon. One that is both remarkably powerful and who shares a face with a known Sparda kin. Just this alone may make him a pricey target for those that hunts demons.

Alchemists & Such: When Ouroboros does figure out what his bodily make up is and potential demise to Vergil, there's no doubt he'll be looking for a means to avoid that. Perhaps a way to alter his own body. Even so, his physical state is so unstable that he'll probably be in search of a way to avoid biological degradation.

A Soft Heart: With how he was created and brought up, Ouroboros is actually someone who is quite sensitive on the inside. He has never known care or love from anyone. The memories of Eva are there, but those memories leave him extremely bitter and jealous since they aren't his. If someone was able to gain his trust and show even the most platonic of love it's very possible his outlook on life could change. Especially towards someone that might give him an honest name.

Do you know what Fairy Tail Parfum is? Well, I dunno either, but, according to their page, they do cosmetics and perfumes in collaborations with different animes and series. They have a deal with Toei so they could do some collabs with Super Sentai!

Some time ago they released a perfume inspired by Shinken Red and today-ish they announced they completed the set for everyone else!

Shinken Blue, Pink, Green, Yellow, Gold, Princess Shinken Red (Kaoru!) and Juzo (!!!) join the line. I'm always fascinated with this kind of collabs and, if you are as well, you can check the products in the link above. I'll post the images below.

They also have perfumes inspired in Gokai Red, Black Condor, Deka Pink and Deka Yellow in a 2 pack, the 5 main Donbros (Meaning, everyone except Jirou) (Poor Jirou), the Sono trio in a 3 pack (POOR JIROU) and Zenkaiser Black (Jesus, they did him dirty).

Again, I'm always fascinated when they do the equivalent of the Shampoo for kids with cartoon characters in it but for adults, so, I might inform if they complete some lines or release new ones.

It just... make me happy.

Sougo now wore the Ryusoulger armor, and the form was totally unexpected. Zi-O gained two pauldrons on each of his shoulders, one was blue and the other was pink, he also gained a black cape. His helmet still had the Katakana for Rider but its behind bars of a knight's helmet.

He also gained the Ryusoulger symbol, in red and silver, that ran down from his chest and ended beyond the belt, just like where the silver part on his base suit ended.

 “I wonder what Ryuu-san is thinking about.” Kotoha whispered to her friend.

 “Knowing that guy, it probably has something to do with a new Shinken-Oh combination if he has the Ryuu Origami and Kajiki Disk out.” Chiaki shrugged. His Kuma and Kotoha’s Saru Origami were play-wrestling behind them.

  The Kame and Shishi Origami then flew in to join them. And the two youngest straightened as Mako and Takeru came over.

  “Ryuunosuke’s still thinking?” Mako mused as she tapped her Origami to make it return to her hand, folded. The others soon followed its suit.

  Takeru crossed his arms as he watched the water samurai pick up the dark blue disk with a thoughtful frown. He shrugged and decided to leave him to it. Ryuunosuke’s ideas for new combinations always worked and came in handy in a pinch. But his mind worked best when left alone.

  “I wonder how we can get the Origami in the Hidden Disks to come out in miniature size.” Ryuunosuke silently mused. He has been wondering this for a while since Genta showed up.

  The Ika Origami which should have been inside its Hidden Disk was now residing in Genta’s sushi cart tank in miniature form. And the water samurai’s mind soon grew curious if the Kabuto, Kajiki and Tora origami could do the same.

  The Ryuu Origami gave a small roar. Ryuunosuke scowled at it. “I am not going to ask Genta how he did it! I am going to figure it out myself!”

  If the Ryuu Origami had pupils, it would have rolled its eyes.
