This is a weekend-long event dedicated to the relationship between Shisui and Itachi Uchiha from Naruto. Anyone is welcome to participate, just remember to tag your works with #shiitaweekend2023 so that we can track all of the wonderful contributions ^^

Be sure to tag all works with the appropriate content warnings (such as n/sfw, dead dove, heavy angst, etc)

OT3s involving Shisui and Itachi will not be allowed for this event

Side pairings are not prohibited, however shiita should be the main focus of each work

Very Good Lives

The night Shisui dies, Itachi awakens the Mangekyou Sharingan. Along with it, he develops a strange ability that allows him to see Shisui, but in other contexts… in other lives. As pressure from every corner of Itachi's life begins to close in on him, he finds himself questioning his decisions, loyalty, and what the point of his life truly is if his soulmate is no longer in it. But even in the darkness looming over him, maybe there's hope; a way to find Shisui—and happiness—again.

“Itachi,” Shisui gives him a sad smile, the kind of smile that unnerves Itachi to the bone. “Things aren’t going well in this life, but I will find you again. I’ve seen it. We have more chances, I promise.”

Hi! I saw the post for ShiIta Weekend being shared around and it looks really cool! Is the event for any kind of works (writing, art, etc), or is it limited to just art or something?

If there is a writing component, will there be a collection or tag for AO3? I would love to maybe participate, but I am a less than mediocre artist, so if it's an art thing I will probably have to sit it out!

Any and all kinds of fan works are welcome for the event. art, writing, gifs, graphics, meta, playlists, etc.

As for whether fic contributions will be compiled into an AO3 collection, there hasn't been any discussion or organized planning on that so far. It sounds like a good idea, though!

That said, I know some creators don't appreciate having their works added to other people's collections for personal reasons. So regardless of what gets decided down the line, as long as you use the tag #shiitaweekend2023 when posting to AO3, all works for the event should be easily searchable from that tag.
