the people in the on-campus autistic student club always seem weirdly dismissive of the more obviously disabled members who talk too loud or bring up their interest out of the blue or have noticeable speech impediments... can we try a little harder to be accepting of disability that isn't subtle and socially acceptable please?

#I went to end of year party with the ASD club and this guy really wanted to infodump. I let him because why not #and when he tried to show someone else they just kept being like 'okay?' in a questioning tone which seems rude to me #it sounded like how people speak when theyre asking 'are you done?' #idk I don't feel like I can mention it because it was the club leader being weird towards these members #sheptalks #autism #actuallyautistic #actually autistic #neurodiversity #you dont have to get along with every member in the group but you also dont need to push them away. its a support group.

genuinely stressed and upset about the fact that my extremely kind and intelligent neighbor has suddenly decided to let her cats--yes, plural, she has 3--roam outdoors unrestricted

they have an incredible catio and a very rich home life with toys and treats. I know this because I have stayed at their house for a few days to watch the critters while they were out of town. why the fuck are you willingly endangering both your own pets and the lives of the thousands of wild birds you know live in our neighborhood? including evening grosbeaks, a vulnerable species that visits my yard every day. and now your cats visit my yard every day. y'know. the world's most worst non-native animal responsible for 2.4 billion bird deaths each year.

I need to confront her. I don't know how, though. I want to be gentle and empathetic but if her cats kills any birds in my yard I'm busting down her door. does anyone on this website know how to be nice I need coaching

please consider reblogging the fics you read and leaving some kind of nice feedback. its very motivating and it helps with engagement. and i know everyone just wants to consume now a days, but exclusively getting likes on fics rather than reblogs and nice words makes me (and so many others) not want to write anymore on this app. like writing fic is hard work and me and many others do it for FREE because we enjoy it and want others to enjoy it with us. i just think that's really selfless, especially with how many EXTREMELY talented writers and artists there are out there.

had an intake meeting with a new therapist and mentioned that I love to read but I tend to read with a ruler and she was like "have you heard of bionic reading?" and I'm like :0 no? and she says it's that thing where people randomly bold some words in a paragraph and I'm like Oh nevermind I have seen it and I hate that so much 🤍 it is incredibly distracting to me because I'm trying to figure out why this particular word is emphasized and not the one I emphasized in my head
