Salman Khan on two-hero films: ‘I’ve worked with Aamir, Shah Rukh, Akki, never had this issue’

When Akshay Kumar appeared on Koffee With Karan 7, he pointed out that it’s difficult to bring two heroes together for a Bollywood film. Akshay shared how he has faced this issue while casting for his film, and thus began a debate over how big stars don’t often wish to share screen space in a movie. Now, during the Hindi trailer launch of GodFather in Mumbai, Salman Khan has shared his view about the same and said that working in two-hero films has never been an issue for him.

Salman Khan shared that he has worked with everyone in the industry right from Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, to Jackie Shroff, Sunny Deol, and others. He mentioned that he has been a part of many two-hero movies, and has never had this issue. “I have worked with Sanju, Sunny, Aamir, Jacky, Saif, Shah Rukh, Akki. I have worked with everyone, I never had this issue of two hero films all my career,” he said.

Salman Khan further added that choosing a film depends on the script alone, and not on whether it’s a multi-starrer or a two-hero film. “It all depends on film and script. If you don’t like the script, don’t do it. If you don’t like the actor, start liking him,” said Salman.

Salman Khan has been a part of many two-hero films in his career. He shared screen space with Akshay Kumar in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Shah Rukh Khan in Karan Arjun, Ajay Devgn in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, among numerous other films.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan will be seen in an extended cameo in Chiranjeevi’s film GodFather. The film will hit theaters on October 5. Salman Khan will also be seen in the highly anticipated movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which also features Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Shehnaaz Gill, and Raghav Juyal, among others.

I wanted to be a father, but Indian law did not allow me, says Salman Khan

Salman Khan shared his thought son becoming a father as he loves children very much. He also opened up about his plans for getting married in a recent interview. He said that he had thought about becoming a dad but it was the Indian law that did not let him.

Salman can often be seen enjoying the company of kids. His sister Arpita Khan has two children--Ayat Sharma and Ahil Sharma and Salman Khan is their favorite uncle. His other sister Alvira Khan also has two kids--Alizeh Agnihotri and Ayaan Agnihotri and Salman also has two brothers who have their own kids.

Talking at length about his love for kids at the TV's show Aap ki Adalat, Salman revealed he was planning for a child. "Abhi kya bolu woh toh plan tha. Plan tha. Bahu ka nahi tha, baccha ke tha. Lekin ab woh law ke hisaab se woh toh Hindustan mein ho nahi sakta. Toh ab dekhenge kya kare (What to say, that was the plan. It wasn't for a daughter-in-law, it was for a child. But according to the Indian laws, it's not possible. Now we'll see what to do)."

When questioned about doing something similar to Karan Johar, he said, "Wahi main koshish karraha tha lekin woh law shayad change hogaya hai. Toh ab dekhenge. Bachchon ka bada shaukh hai mujhe. I love kids. Lekin kids jab aate hai toh maa bhi aati hai. Maa unke liye bohut acchi hai, lekin humare ghar mein maa hi maa padi hai sir. Humare paas pura zila hai, pura gaon hai. Woh unka accha khayal rakh lengi. Lekin unki maa, jo real maa hongi, woh meri patni hogi (makes a face) (That's what I was trying to do. But, that law may have changed, so let's see. I am very fond of children. But when kids come then their mother also comes. A mother is good for them but we have a lot of mothers at home. We have the whole district, the whole village. They will take care of them. But my kid's real mother will also be my wife)."

Salman Khan’s movie Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is making great success at the box office. The movie is directed by Farhad Samji and has a strong star cast including Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Sidharth Nigam, Venkatesh Daggubati, Bhumika Chawla, Raghav Juyal and Jassie Gill.

He is also working on his upcoming movie Tiger 3 opposite actor Katrina Kaif. The film is all set to hit the theatres on the occasion of Diwali 2023.

As a result, there’s a lot of hype for his upcoming film, Kisi Ka Bhi Kisi Ki Jaan. The superstar has released a few stills from the film and even a rocking title announcement video in the past few months. And now, on Diwali, Salman is all set to treat fans with a surprise.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Salman Khan and his team are going to digitally drop an asset of Kisi Ka Bhi Kisi Ki Jaan. It’ll be launched on or around the Festival of Lights. Diwali is a time when families come together. Kisi Ka Bhi Kisi Ki Jaan is also a complete family entertainer. Hence, Salman felt that this period is apt to release an asset of the film. Moreover, with the movie releasing two months later, it was only fair to begin the promotional campaign during the festival.”

When asked what the fans can expect, the source replied, “Salman Khan, director Farhad Samji and the core team are working on the poster, motion poster and teaser. They’ll decide closer to Diwali as to what they’ll like to release out of the three.”

Will it come on the day of Diwali? The source revealed, “Possibly. Or it can come around Diwali. A clearer picture will emerge in the next ten days.”

Meanwhile, fans online are speculating that Kisi Ka Bhi Kisi Ki Jaan’s asset will be unveiled during the India vs Pakistan T20 match, which will be held on October 23. The source, however, maintained that nothing is sure at the moment.

Kisi Ka Bhi Kisi Ki Jaan also stars Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Siddharth Nigam, Jassie Gill and Raghav Juyal. Venkatesh and Jagapathi Babu also have key roles in the film. It will release in cinemas on December 30, 2022.
