Our Story Masterlist Summary: YN at The Niall Horan Charity Football Match.
Growing up with Louis as a brother, YN learned a few things about football or two. She wasn't a massive fan but she didn't dislike it either. She had been to a couple of the Rovers games with him and of course, Harry and Louis shared their love for Manchester United. Niall had spoken about arranging a football charity match and the boys (except Zayn) had jumped at the chance to play, knowing Niall couldn't due to only having a knee operation early in the year. YN ears perked up as she sat in the dressing room with them.
"Can I come?" she asked out loud, directing her question at Niall. She wasn't going to miss watching her boyfriend in a football kit. Louis eyeing his sister up suspiciously from where she sat with Harry opposite him.
"Yeh 'course you can, you can stand on the side with me and boss all these idiots about" Niall joked, but secretly enjoying the fact that he's going to be managing the team and for once being able to tell others what to do.
Louis still suspicious about why his sister, who wasn't a big fan of football, suddenly wants to go. "Thought you were going home during our couple of days off?" Louis remembered YN saying she was going to go home with their family after the Dublin shows, before heading to Sunderland.
"I'll go after the match, it's not too far" YN shrugged her shoulders, wondering why her brother was making something out of it. "Why..worried I'll show you up with my football skills?" she teased him, knowing she couldn't play football if her life depended on it.
"You're shit at football and any sport that requires a ball Tiny" Louis shot back, Niall and Liam chuckling at the siblings. Harry remained silent, knowing either way he didn't want no part of the conversation.
"Hey!" YN whined, sitting up slightly to turn her body towards Harry. "Tell him I'm good with balls aren't I?". The innuendo caused Niall and Liam to roar with laughter, holding onto each other for support. Louis closed his eyes, wanting the ground to swallow him up. Harry's were wide, lips twitched threatening to smile. Even some of the crew had left the room, trying to hide their laughter.
YN looked around, confused at why they were reacting like this. "Why are you laughing, what have I said?".
---
Today was the football match. The boys had just finished playing three shows in Dublin, Niall was ecstatic that he played near his hometown. Louis and YN's family had even flown over for the weekend to watch the shows, but had now sadly gone back to Doncaster.
It was an early wake up call for the boys and YN today. They had to catch an early flight back to London this morning to travel to Leicester for the match as it was being held at the King Power Stadium. Once they had landed back in London, they said their goodbye's to Zayn who was going home for the day and were escorted to the bus for their two to three hour journey.
YN wasn't certain about who was playing on the opponents team, except there was some playful banter going on between the boys and Piers. But she was glad they were putting the Twitter jokes to use and doing something for charity.
It was unusual for YN to be on the tour bus with the boys, she was usually in the other one with Lou and the other women that was part of the tour team. She didn't like to admit it but she was glad she didn't travel on this bus because it screamed that five boys lived in there. Louis was the worst, where he put things, they stayed meaning there was random stuff thrown into the spare bunk.
Louis and Liam were enjoying some free time and were in the lounge area of the bus, both holding remotes as the game of Fifa played on the screen in front of them. Niall was writing out tweets about the match this afternoon and talking YN and Harry's ears off about how he was so excited but still upset he couldn't play.
“So do I know anyone who’s playing for your team?” YN asked the Niall. Her body pushed up against Harry’s side as his arm is wrapped around her, his fingers dancing along the skin of her arm.
“James is playing” Harry mentioned, referring to their friend James Corden.
“And Ronan Keating” Niall mentioned the Boyzone singer. YN’s eyes lit up, remembering how she would listen to their album on repeat growing up and Louis shouting at her to turn it off.
“And I will keep you safe and strong…sheltered from the storm” YN began to sing a Boyzone song that she loved when she was younger and still did. It was no secret that she was a boyband fan. “No matter where it’s barren…a dream is being born” YN continued, Niall joining in as he too was a fan of the band growing up.
Before they could continue their duet, Louis shouted from his position in the lounge area. “OI YOU TWO..SHUT THE FOOK UP WILL YA?”. YN rolled her eyes and continued to sing even louder, knowing how much her brother wasn’t a big fan of boybands growing up.
After a two and half hour journey from London to Leicester, they had arrived at the stadium. There was still a few hours until the match was due to start. But fans were gathered outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of the boys and the other celebrities that were playing today.
Once the bus had parked and Paul and the other security had given them the clear, they all made their way towards the back entrance of the stadium. Hearing the fans cheers in the background.
Being on the road since early this morning meant they had all worked up an appetite and decided to make the most of the hospitality that the venue was putting on for them today. Whilst they all sat together eating, some people came over and greeting the boys. One being James who also wrapped YN into a warm hug, and making a joke about how much she must love Harry if she’s spending her day off at a football game.
YN knew it was going to be a loud and wild day. The build up to this match had been brewing for a while. But the loudness coming from the men’s changing rooms, was a tad too much, even for her. She was sat a bit further down, scrolling through her phone, waiting for the boys to get changed into their matching kits.
The sound of the changing room doors opening, caught her attention but to her disappointment it wasn’t who she was hoping it would be. It was just some other players that were on Team Niall, ones she wasn’t too familiar with. After a few minutes Louis and Liam walked through the black double doors. Both dressed in the black and white kit, a long sleeved white football top covering their body and black shorts hiding their thighs.
“Tiny..ya coming out with us?” Louis called down to where his sister was now standing with her back against the wall. “We’re going to head out to warm up a bit, referring to the ball he was holding between his fingers.
YN shook her head, not moving from her position. “No I’m gonna wait for Harry and Niall, I’ll see you in a bit”. To which Louis gave her a thumbs up and continue to walk with Liam in the direction of the pitch.
When Harry finally appeared, YN’s eyes thought they were tricking her. Instead of wearing the kit that Louis and Liam were donning  a few moments ago. He was dressed in a black tracksuit, matching Niall.
“Well that’s a bit disappointing” YN pouted as her and Harry walked towards each other.
“Oh thanks Babe…just what I wanted to hear” Harry joked. Slightly confused at what his girlfriend meant.
“Was hoping to see you in a football kit” YN explained why she was disappointed. “At least you’ve done a bun” she referred to the small bun that rested on top of his head.
“My kits underneath, I’m not playing straight away” Harry unzipped his jacket showing the white football tap that sat beneath, before zipping it back up. Leaning in, he pressed his lips to hers as they were still pouting slightly. As their lips moved in sync, Harry’s hands found their way to YN’s jaw and YN’s were now holding onto his hips, pulling him closer.
Lost in each other, forgetting where they were for a moment as their lips moved messily together, hands wandering slightly, they didn’t see James leaving the changing rooms, smirking as he notices the couple up against the wall.
“OH GET A ROOM YOU TWO” he shouted towards the pair, both startled by James’ voice. Both wide eyed, like two deers in headlights. Once Harry realised it was James, he chuckled and relaxed but the blush on YN’s cheeks was rising by the second.
“Fuck off James” Harry still chucking as he pulls YN into his chest, knowing she would be slightly embarrassed to be caught in a heated moment, despite it not being the first time.
Knowing James’ sense of humour and how he would love telling the others about him catching Harry and YN locking lips in the hallway, the couple decide it’s time to head out to the pitch and join the others.
Waking towards the tunnel, they spot Niall and Ben. Both chuckling as the see the couple walking towards them, hands intertwined. “Lunch wasn’t enough for you was it?” Niall teases. The couple instantly knew that James has bumped into them both and filling them in.
Harry chuckles and gives Niall a playful shove on his shoulder and YN rolls her eyes and flips him a finger. Niall still giggling and moving to try and mess YN’s hair up.
As the four enter the pitch area, screams and cheers are heard from the seats where some fans had already entered and sitting patiently waiting for the match to begin. But were excited at the sight of two more members of One Direction entering the stadium. The green pitch was filled with a mixture of both teams warming up, kicking the ball back and forth or doing laps around. Harry had gone to join Louis and Liam as they were kicking the ball back and forth.
There was a group of girls around the age of fifteen or sixteen calling YN’s name as she stood on the sidelines, slightly in front of their seats. YN always loved meeting fans of the boys, but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t wary at times. She turned around and walked towards the group who all sent her wide smiles.
“Hey” YN shyly greeted the girls, giving them a small wave as she stood in front of them. She noticed how two of them were holding onto each other in excitement. She wasn’t famous, she was just Louis sister, well and Harry’s girlfriend but she was wondering how they would react if one of the boys were in front of them.
“Hi, sorry to bother you but we’ve made you and the boys some things” the smaller girl of the group, with long brunette hair held up a few items that looked like personalised jumpers with their names on them.
YN’s heart warmed at the thought that they’d spent money, time and kindness on making things for not only the boys, but her too. “Aww thank you girls, that’s so kind of you”.
“We’re massive fans, we love the boys and you too, we think you’re so funny” the blonde girl, standing in the middle of the group spoke, leaving out a shy giggle.
“You’re too kind” YN pretend to blush at the comment, causing the girls to laugh. “Who’s your favourite?” YN asked, knowing that although fans loved the boys as a group, deep down everyone had a favourite. Four of the girls answered Zayn at the same time and laughing with each other.
“Oh Zayn’s not here but I’ll definitely tell him I met his biggest fans and give him this jumper” YN explained to the girls who still looked just as excited to be there. YN noticed that one of the girls didn’t answer when she asked who their favourite was. “What about you babe, who’s yours?”.
YN noticed the slight blush on the girls cheeks and how she shook her head shyly “I like all of them”.
Before YN could accept her answer, the taller of the group interrupted “She’s lying, Harry’s her favourite, she’s just too shy to tell you because you know…you’re his girlfriend”.
“Oh that’s okay babe, he’s my favourite too…well after Niall” YN joked with the girls, once again making them all giggle. YN turned to find Harry in the chaos. Spotting him stood on the side talking to Ben, she called his name and waving him over. The girls now wide eyed and trying to hide their excitement as Harry walks closer to them.
“Hi” Harry waved and greeted the girls. “Are you excited for the game?”. Each of them just nodding their heads, too starstruck to speak. Making YN giggle at how chatty they all were just now.
“They’ve made us all jumpers with our names on, look” YN spoke to Harry. Motioning her head towards them gathered in her arms, making Harry smile with happiness.
“Oh waw, thank you so much girls” Harry took one from YN and took a better look, now that I was opened up.
“You’re welcome” they said in unison, still a tad shy to make conversation with him. YN took note of this and offered to take a photo of them with Harry.
But to YN’s surprise they asked if she could be in the photo too. YN took one of the girls phones and set it to front camera before holding it up, making sure everyone could be seen. The girls huddled closer together as they were still behind the barrier. Harry ducked down slightly behind YN, resting his hand on her shoulder so his tall frame wasn’t hiding the girls. Giving back the phone, the girls thanked them before waving at them as they walked back to where the players seats were.
“That’s probably the nicest fan encounter I’ve ever had” YN admitted to Harry as she wrapped her arm around him, her hand landing on his hip. Naturally Harry’s arm followed and rested around her shoulder.
“Really?” YN nodded as she looked up as he stood tall “They did seem nice to be fair”. Harry pecked her temple, keeping the affection calm, knowing that their every move was being filmed.
YN and the boys were standing on the sidelines, waiting for the game to start, when the music playing through the stadium changed to Best Song Ever. Of course, heating music from their favourite band, the fans in the audience begin to sing along. YN being a massive fan too, couldn’t help herself either.
And we danced all night to the best song ever We knew every line, now I can't remember How it goes but I know that I won't forget her 'Cause we danced all night to the best song ever
YN continued to sing along, dancing and actively annoying Louis in the process; trying to get him to join in with her. But to her disappointment, he wouldn’t budge. But if anyone would join in with her singing and dancing along to One Direction, it would be their other biggest fan, Niall Horan.
When the game began, Niall, Harry and Ben were up on their feet, pacing up and down the sidelines and shouting encouragement at the players on the pitch.
YN followed their movements, with no idea what the rules of football was, she copied their lead. Cheering when they cheered, acted sad when they let out a sign of disappointment. And if she asked Harry once when he was going to go on to play, she must have asked about thirty. To which he patiently replied “not yet babe”, “soon baby” “be patient” “ask Niall”.
After half time, Niall told Harry that he needed to swap with another player. Harry removed his tracksuit jacket and trousers, revealing the white football shirt with the number 12 on the back and black shorts. Then to warm up, James decided that Harry needed help and began to rub his leg and shoulders; earning a playful but slightly serious "Hey..keep ya hands off my man" from YN.
Now having Harry to stare at on the pitch, running around chasing the ball, YN could see why people were so passionate about the sport; as she stood with Niall and cheered loudly for their team. Team Niall was currently losing as Team Piers had already scored one goal.
Harry was guided to take a penalty. Niall and YN were standing on the side, both hands up to their mouths in a praying position as they watched the scene in front of them. Running towards the ball, he kicked it towards the goal, everyone watching in suspense and as the ball hit the net, the crowd cheered.
Harry had scored the first goal for Team Niall. Niall and YN hugged each other tight, jumping up and down together, celebrating the goal. The other players from the team, including Louis and Liam had surrounded Harry trying to pull him into to celebrate.
But Harry pushed passed them and ran towards YN and Niall. Picking YN up from the ground and spun her around in circles as her she held onto his neck in a tight squeeze as they celebrate his goal. Placing her back down, YN was quick to peck his lips, a way of showing him how proud she was. Niall pulled Harry into a brother hug, and Harry telling Niall "That was for you".
And despite Team Niall losing Niall expressed his appreciation at the end of the match. “Although my team didn’t win, I still enjoyed every minute of this game! I would like to thank all the players who donated their time free of charge to support this event. I am looking forward to making this even bigger and better next year.”

I've been wondering this for awhile. Why wasn't Elizabeth of York considered as a legitimate candidate for the throne in 1483 after her brothers disappeared?
Once the princes were murdered or out of the way: Yorkist supporters became angry and started looking for another claimant to the throne to oust Richard III from power. It seems one of the reasons they settled on Henry Tudor was because he: was male, had a claim to the English crown via the Beaufort line, and also wasn't married. Unlike say The Duke of Buckingham, Earl of Lincoln etc. Earl of Warwick was still a child.
This seems like one of the biggest reasons he was able to garner so much support by late 1483-1485. Conveniently unmarried, he pledged to marry Princess Elizabeth and restore what many saw as the true royal family to power.
I like Henry VII but also think it's sad the nobles that fought for him ignored Elizabeth of York's arguably much stronger claim to the throne. Not to her sisters and Margaret Beaufort's claims. She should have been crowned Queen Elizabeth I instead. Imagine how differently the 16th century would have gone. If her granddaughters were accepted as ruling Queens why wasn't Elizabeth of York?
Did she not want to rule or was England not willing to accept a female monarch yet?
The truth is that even before her brothers were born and Elizabeth was her father's eldest legitimate child, Elizabeth of York was never considered Edward IV's heir in the sense of one day being able to ascend the throne. Instead, before Edward V was born, English people looked at Edward's brother George as the next-in-line, even though Edward himself preferred to leave things more ambiguous so as to not give George too much power. Elizabeth was never given the education or responsibilities of a king's heir, and although English people did consider women as capable of passing down a claim, they had not so far considered them as capable of bearing the crown.
Remember this was a time when Henry VI, a legitimate king, son and grandson of the last successive kings, was deposed because primogeniture discourse aside (which was an excuse anyway), he was deemed too weak and incapable to rule, not 'manly' enough to handle the war with France or to lead armies on the battlefield. He was infantilised and turned into a innocent fool who was dominated by his wife and was almost stripped of his masculinity altogether. Elizabeth's father had won his crown by showing off his masculine leadership abilities and by accusing the past queen (Margaret of Anjou) of running England into the ground in her condition as an unnatural woman (as she had dared to lead the country, which women were not supposed to do). Queen Margaret was perceived as a transgressive woman who had outstepped the boundaries of her gender and proper place. Do you think people would be happy to, only a generation later, give the sceptre to someone who was a female? The answer is: they weren't, and it's supremely ironic that the same gendered yorkist propaganda that paved the way for Edward IV's ascension would hinder the ascension of his own daughter.
Henry Tudor was the ideal candidate not only because he was male, had royal blood and was unmarried. Henry was closely associated with his uncle Henry VI, who by 1485 was venerated as a saint in England: Henry was literally the nephew of a holy king. His mother Margaret Beaufort had been considered Henry VI's successor by some as far back as 1450. In the continent, some people even erroneously called him Henry VI's youngest son, which brings us to the next point: Henry Tudor was extremely well articulated in terms of international support. King Louis XI of France had tried to receive him in France since 1471 — after all, the Valois kings and the Tudors were cousins (through Catherine of Valois), and the French king was happy to say that himself. Given their past support for the Lancastrians, France was only too willing to support Henry in his bid for the English throne. Besides France, Henry had a good relationship with the Duke of Brittany, a place where he had been exiled for more than a decade, and received support from that duchy too. Lastly, the Tudors were also extremely well-liked in Wales — Henry was literally considered the fulfiller of an ancient Welsh prophecy by an important political class in Wales since his birth — and the Welsh support Henry received made all the difference at Bosworth.
Not any man with a claim to the English throne at that time was as well-articulated as Henry, especially when we add Margaret Beaufort's groundwork to build his base of support in England too. David Horspool, who wrote a book about Richard III, has highlighted Henry Tudor's unique position in challenging Richard. I think that if Henry Tudor had failed in 1485 it's very likely that other people would have risen against Richard III to challenge him for his crown, but it's much less likely they would succeed as Henry Tudor did. I tend to agree with this idea. Henry's Yorkist supporters (in name of his wife) were a fundamental part of why he was able to get to the throne, but they alone wouldn't be sufficient to earn him the crown if it weren't for Henry's international and Welsh support too. He was only able to gather that support in his condition as a Valois, a Tudor and a Beaufort.
To sum up, Elizabeth of York lived in a time when the English crown was extremely fragile in terms of legitimacy and support. The crisis of the Hundred Years War developed into grievous internal strife and a bloody civil conflict where the performance of kingship mattered more than anything else, especially a performance steeped in chivalric values and the male-dominated world of knighthood orders. In a time with so many other male claimants around, Elizabeth of York could never perform in the masculine way the English people expected their monarch to behave. As said by a chronicler in the 1470s, they wanted 'a prynce to wynne mennys hertys' — a prince (masculine) to win men's (masculine) hearts.

i understand if you don't feel like continuing this convo so feel free to ignore this if you're not in the mood but. i have to say i'm kind of floored by that one anon wondering why claudia didn't leave during those 6 years. because she wanted to be with louis! she didn't want to be alone, she was never planning on going alone, she was dreaming of taking that trip together with louis. going alone would be lonely and scary and difficult. louis wanted to live in nola so she stayed with him, hoping he would agree to go someday. then lestat came back into the picture. being around lestat is agitating for her, it's already a big sacrifice to have to live in the same house with him but she agrees to try. expecting her to act polite about it is kind of a big ask. and maybe she was just waiting for lestat to show his ass, is that so bad? she's literally proven right! lestat never had any intention of honoring the agreement they made, he lied about killing antoinette so it's logical to think his tragic backstory was a lie too. it's perfectly reasonable for claudia to hope that louis would eventually see the light and leave him. louis nagged her for not trying enough but when she proves lestat wasn't trying either he says he isn't even gonna confront him about it. i love louis and i know why he does what he does but this is all a goddamn nightmare for claudia. "he chose you over me." he chooses the person who treats them like shit over her. it's heartbreaking! she was willing to put off her travel dreams to be with him, she didn't want to be alone. she chose him for like 7 years but he doesn't choose her. louis is my favorite character but holy shit does claudia have good reason to grow resentful of him. even book claudia isn't as emotionless as people claim, she has mixed feelings about louis too, she doesn't start to resent him until she no longer has lestat to blame everything on, and i much prefer this complicated picture to the emotionless manipulator that people claim she is. she's not that in the books and she certainly isn't in the show. she is a complicated character who loves to kill and can be cold and calculating at times AND she desires companionship and gets her feelings hurt and her anger is born out of very real trauma. BABYGIRL
I don’t mind engaging here. and im gonna sound off on some things too while im here. please forgive me for veering for a moment before i get into what you're saying here. which i think is well said. me and anon don’t agree. i don’t feel like we have to either. i don't think every conversation has to lead to people being moved out of their stance all the time. Which is why there was a point where i said we simply have to just disagree. bc when it gets to a point where my stance is cut down bc im being perceived as only a “show watcher” bc im engaging with what is textually in the show…..well thats where the conversation started right? about the adapted character in the show so now you’re just deciding to say anything to get me to be wrong. and i am not going to engage with that. that’s not how i want to have discussions. im not saying i can’t be wrong. but im not gonna engage with something that goes beyond what im able to make sense of.
why show up to an amcverse discussion and demand the book take precedent? the show will adapt book claudia’s story arc to fit show claudia. all the parts we haven't got to yet will be adapted. so what is the sense in constantly cutting down show analysis with book analysis? they don't have to be identical. the different mediums are not identical. where they converge they converge and where they diverge they diverge. its not ignorance to speak of the show text as canon bc it is canon. in the show!
i’m able to do that with adapted movies/shows. i'm able to accept a multi-universe of truths in conversations so i just don’t know what to say to someone who refuses to, other than we disagree. where i don’t know, i go to book readers to ask. when there’s a conversation happening that is clearly book centric (wolfkiller fun debate/and jokes that i personally enjoyed, whatever angle was taken, for example) i am happy just to engage by rb and like and cackle while the ones who know bring the sauce. it was delicious and fun at first. sometimes i think we lose sight of the fact that people also just want to have a low stakes good time. but i digress
back to you love. thank you for your input. i agree. i can’t understand not acknowledging that claudia enjoyed being with Louis for a while there. She wanted to leave with him in a mirrored way to how Lestat also wanted to leave with Louis. I have seen many book readers discuss that there has been a shift in the dynamic that doesn’t lean into the romantic angle of their relationship in the book. Louis being made gay and not bisexual being one of those supporting factors. bc once again he is an adapted character and so is she. certain elements may be different. but you speak to there being love turned hate between them in the books as well and i'm inclined to believe you.
she’s heartbroken. she wanted louis to want her and choose her. she also wanted LESTAT to want and choose her. she’s heartbroken about his dismissal of her. his eventual boredom of her. his eventual resentment of her. of his abuse. i’ve even spoken to my understanding of what plays into why he feels resentful of her and how from his perspective in louis not immediately choosing him makes him also feel like louis is choosing claudia over him. that don’t mean he gets to just do whatever and be coddled and protected from the consequences of that…like? no i will not agree with that. and im comfortable with disagreeing on that. we on devices on an internet. our fingers make little tippy tappy sounds when we talk to each other. i don’t need this to be a be all/end all kind of thing. and im not moved by arguments of reverse abuse/manipulation. please miss me with that entirely. i dont agree. and i wont. i see him as a whole person too AND i am not gonna pretend she isnt justified in how she feels about him or reacts to him.
her tragic story is much fuller than just being physically small forever, and plotting something that failed. she’s more than a device to get the story to its next tragic beats to me. and i love what people i engage with bring to these analysis of all of these insane vampires. i love that others are as insane about them as i am. some people are so fucking smart. it’s a brain treat to read what they say man like how do you hold all that information in your mind and communicate it with such eloquence and hilarity and be so right??? keep talking, i am listening. some people got the book facts that fuck me up for the rest of the day thinking about it and what that author lady put into these stories like! others bring themselves with that too and that matters to me too. there is a beautiful variety of conversations happening on my dash. you’re galaxy brained and funny and i love it so much. thank you for your voices. i aint search for and lurk on the black/poc side of things for nothing. this my lil happy corner frfr. i think thats what makes this fun. its fun for me that way. and i am happy to be reminded if im going off course. and if im worried im being misunderstood i might clarify. but all this is to say its not a lot you can say to me to convince me claudia wasn’t 1000000% well within reason and justification to be whatever she needed to break free of that man’s tyranny over her. and if you aren’t moved in your stance. then we disagreee. simpo.
but back to you. thank you for your addition and giving me the opportunity to get this off my chest its heavy enough carrying around some tittys.

"....considering how upset Harry was after the announcement that Louis was going to be a dad (and no, it wasn't because he found out Louis cheated on him; that's not possible, since Harry shaded the pregnancy about a month or so ahead of the announcement, so he already knew), and considering all the shading and the song Kiwi."
Sorry for such an additional questions but and I wrote, I wasn´t there when this all was happening. I´m just wondering how HL then sorted their relationship after everything what happend at that time? It looked like L was cheating on H but he wasn´t but still H was upset. Some says H hates bbg just like all of us larries and some says H kind of blame himself for it. What is your opinions about that? And what about them and F now? Do you think they just moved past it and kind of used to live with it hoping one day it will end and they will be able to start their own family?
Harry knew babygate was going to happen in advance of the news dropping.
Tumblr media
So did Liam and everyone else.
youtube
^ Liam pointedly invites Louis to join him on a "stroll" to read signs, and Louis replies "I'd love to." Note the very pointed tone they both take on, almost sarcastic and irate. That's when Liam points out a fake baby on the stage and sarcastically exclaims, "That's outrageous!", and Louis throws it and says that "it's not real" about three times while Liam keeps explaining that it was a "fake baby", "for all those out there that thought that was a real baby."
All of these things happened about a month before the news dropped on July 14, 2015.
Exactly one week after the news dropped, this happened:
youtube
At 1:30-1:37, Harry says, "Here at One Direction, we love love. We usually just spread it around!"
I remember many people at the time took this to mean that Louis had cheated on Harry, and Harry was upset about it ("we usually just spread it around").
But if Louis had cheated and Harry was upset about that, how come Harry already knew of the pregnancy and shaded it before it was announced? Clearly that's not what happened.
Some people think Harry and Louis were tricked and that Sony was going to initially run a fake story about Louis knocking someone up in order to gain more publicity ahead of MITAM. I don't think that's the case. Harry seemed upset specifically with Louis for signing some contract, and Louis wasn't having Harry's BS. Here's a good post recounting all of this.
It would make sense that they were tricked when you look back on the "it's not real" clip. If the baby wasn't supposed to be real, how come F is now 8 years old and Louis is still pretending to be his father? This goes back to the idea that management was going to run a fake story, and that was that.
I don't believe that's what's going on, however. These things are planned way in advance, and Louis had to have signed a contract and knew what he was signing. At least, that's what I think. He could have been tricked into signing something he didn't know the full repercussions of. I don't know. There's nothing to go based on, so we can only speculate.
Anyway, in that post I linked from skepticallarrie, she covers the fact that Harry and Louis were back to acting lovey-dovey by the end of July—just two weeks after July 14th, when the announcement was made that Louis had gotten Briana pregnant. If Louis had cheated and was going to have a whole-ass child with somebody else, do you seriously think Harry would have no backbone and would forgive Louis in just two weeks? I don't, and it's also not possible since Harry knew of the pregnancy in advance. This twarrie idea of Louis cheating or Larry being "on a break" needs to go away.
Also, Elounor broke up in March of 2015, and we all know how fake Elounor is. Like I said, publicity events are planned long in advance. They could have hidden the pregnancy from the media if they wanted to. So why did Elounor just so happen to break up only a month before F was allegedly conceived (April)? Just goes to show how fake the narrative is.

:')
Remus wasn't sure why someone getting a ticket felt the need to pull a pocket knife and slice at his arm. It was just a parking ticket. And the man clearly could spare $15.00 for the fine.
Nevertheless, he arrested the guy for assaulting a police officer and got the car towed, then went back to the station. Once at the station, he went to the first aid room to wrap his arm up. "Doesn't wanna pay 15 bucks so he cuts my arm," he told the substitute nurse's aide helping him. "He didn't wanna pay 15 bucks when he had the latest iPhone in his hand, the latest model AirPods and at least a $110.00 pocket knife."
The nurse's aide, Gin, sighed. "Officer Duke, this is the fourth time this week that you've come in. It's only Monday," she said. "You really must be more careful."
Remus looked at Gin and frowned. She was the temporary nurse's aide for his station and apparently had read his file, learning all about his little luck issue. "You don't think I'm trying to? It's not my fault this time." He winced and sighed. "Besides… My Soulmate probably wrapped their mirror wound up. Five minutes out from the station it stopped bleeding and hurting."
"Hm," Gin said, putting the kit away. "You said you haven't taken your paid vacation time for this year yet, right? You should take it! Go look around for your soulmate," she said, smiling. "You said you were able to find someone who went to a hospital in St Louis who had exact matching wounds, right?"
Remus frowned more. "St Louis, Missouri, isn't exactly a small town, Gin. Besides, that's hours away. By the time I get to St Louis and find the area where they live, I'll have to come back."
"You forget, dear Remus! I'm on loan from the hospital till your normal aide is off maternity leave," she said, almost a little too proudly. "It'll be risky, but I can probably get some more in-depth details for you. Like, what hospital they went to, name, age and that sort of stuff." Remus really couldn't believe Gin sometimes.
"First of all, can't that get you fired? I know personal use of the database can get us suspended without pay. Second of all," Remus sighed. "You're probably gonna do it anyway even if I say no, so just the name and hospital location will work. Maybe gender, not that I care, but it’ll make it easier to find them. And third of all.” He paused and eyed her with a stern look. “Did you really just tell a police officer that you plan to illegally access a medical database?" He snorted when Gin's face changed a little to a look of panic. "You're a dumbass and crazy. I admire that." He laughed. "I'll set up the vacation thing. Maybe Roman and Janus can tag along." Gin smiled and sat at her computer.
"I'll get that info for you, Remus! Probably by the end of the day, no later than tomorrow," she said, typing away.
"Yeah, yeah, just don't tell me stuff that can incriminate you even more," he said, leaving the first aid room.
"Remus, there's a database for your soulmate connection stuff. Did you—and he's gone."
Remus made his way to the lieutenant's office and knocked on the door. Once allowed in, he greeted his boss. "Lt Beckett, sir."
Beckett looked up from her work, smiling and setting it aside temporarily. "Officer Duke. What can I do for you?" The lieutenant offered Remus one of the chairs in front of her desk with a hand, nodding to the left one a little.
He took the seat, taking a deep breath. "Uh, well, I was wondering if I could cash in my vacation time. I think it's time I went looking for my soulmate," he explained. Much to his surprise, Lt Beckett didn't seem too shocked at his decision.
"I'll admit, I was beginning to think you liked running through the department's first aid budget," she joked. "Remus, have you heard of the Physical Danger Soulmate Department?"
He shook his head, the group name not ringing any bells. "Not to my knowledge, sir."
"It's a worldwide program that is dedicated to helping soulmates with the connection you have safely find their soulmate. That includes a government-paid break from work and a medical database to log matching wounds to other people with similar timings and symptoms." Beckett explained a little more, before getting in touch with an agent for Remus.
It took a while, but eventually, he was set up with a 3-month vacation since they couldn't give him more at the current moment. Then he went back to work.
At the end of his shift, Gin walked up with a piece of paper. "Your possible soulmate. Any information you didn't want is blacked out and I've highlighted the important things you do need to know," she said, smiling. "Have a good vacation."
"Thanks, Gin. Don't be too bored without me," he chuckled, packing his stuff, locking his work weapon up in his locker and leaving. He pulled his cell out and called Janus and Roman.
Given the time, he wasn't too sure he'd catch Janus, so he was thankful when his friend picked up. "So, guess who talked to his supervisor and got his Soulmate Danger… Something, something rights invoked?"
"What?" Said a voice through his phone. "Remus, are you okay? Did someone hit your head?"
"No, it's a thing for people who have the connection I have so they can find their soulmate. I can't remember the name but it's some sort of department, Jan," Remus sighed, arriving at his truck.
He heard a laugh across the line as he climbed into his truck. "No way, you're finally doing it?" Sometimes his twin was the absolute worst.
"Yeah, I am," Remus groaned. "Only because it's worth it to get the stupid connection gone. I'm way too dangerous to their health."
"So, you're using a hero excuse?" asked the first voice. "Sounds to me like you just finally caved to what you have desired to do for years." Remus rolled his eyes, now putting most of his attention on driving safely.
"And so what if I am, Jan? Doesn't make me the worst police officer."
Janus laughed. "I'm not upset. So, where are you planning on going?"
Remus sighed. "Haven't taken a good look at the paper Gin gave me, but overall? St Louis, Missouri. About a 5-hour drive." He sighed a little. "The, uh, the temp nurses aide helped me out a little by giving me a paper with info on my possible soulmate. Some stuff I wanna learn on my own is blacked out, but the important shit is there."
He heard Roman almost drop something, snorting at Roman’s clumsiness at the moment. Karma was very nice to him. "St Louis?! Broadway Across America is there right now! I'm coming!"
"Suppose someone will have to bail you two out of trouble," Janus hummed. "I'll make time to go as well. I assume you'll want help to keep things smooth with your potential partner." Remus huffed.
"Rude but yeah. Thanks, you two," he said. "It's nice to know I got people in my court." Sighing a little, he pulled into a McDonald's. He was fucking starving. Come to think of it… Had he taken a lunch break? "Ro, I'll see you at home. Just stopping for a snack then I'll be there."
"I have a late night. Pulling a few extra hours for extra cash. But I actually have a vacation I could bump up…" Janus chuckled and Remus loudly gagged when he heard the smack of his brother’s goodbye kiss over the phone. "I'll be home before sunrise."
The three gave goodbyes before hanging up the call, leaving Remus to his thoughts. He'd be in the same area as his soulmate by this time next week. He just hoped the visit would be worth it.

Let's Talk About: Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Season 1
Tumblr media
I really wanted to like the Disney+ adaptation, and to some extent… I sort of do? The cast were amazing. They just… they didn't have the best material. And I'm not putting blame on anyone. It's just… I feel like a lot was lost in adaptation.
I fell in love with the world of Percy Jackson when I was in university. I was really into young adult books--thanks to the series from the creator who must not be named--and Rick Riordan's writing was right up my alley. Because they felt lived in. The characters, although they're facing fantastical challenges, belong in the world they're trying to protect. The universe Riordan created for his series was rich with relationships that mattered. And that's where the adaptation let me down.
It wasn't right off the bat though. I truly enjoyed the first two episodes of the television series. And the finale was really well crafted too. It's the episodes in between that was problematic for me. Like, yes, I get it: we have three main characters whose journey is what takes us from the start of the plot to the end of the plot. But did they need to feel so insulated?
The first two episodes had Sally, it had Gabe, it had Percy getting expelled for an incident at a field trip, it had Camp Half-Blood and Clarisse--it had a lot of things happening with and around our main characters. And then episode 3 takes all of that away. Our main heroes go on a cross-country trip and don't even get questioned why they had no adult companion.
Episode four has a monster trapped in a train, and in the St. Louis Arch, and outside of the threat of a police presence… the gang just kept chugging along with nary a non-magical world interference. Episode 5 was even more claustrophobic with an abandoned amusement park, and Episode 6 underlines the issue with neon lights:
There is no fear for the world ending because the world doesn't seem to be affected by the characters we're following.
I mean: Percy was able to drive the cab out of a hotel parking lot without a witness? What?
And I know this concern is pretty superficial when it comes down to it. There's budget to be thought about. There's plot points that need to be hit. But I'm not asking for extended scenes. I just needed non-plot related characters to react to what's happening. In the background.
There's a running bit in the background of Gabe making Percy out to be a terrorist of sorts in the televised interviews--but no one even recognizes Percy at the diner with Ares. What was the point of vilifying him if it wasn't going to add a hurdle to his journey?
And then episode 7 gives us a wonderful scene between Sally and Poseidon that was--in all honesty--so fucking unnecessary for the story being told right now. Like, sure, it humanizes both Sally and Poseidon. To us. The viewers. Who don't really need them humanized in this very specific moment.
What it does is it creates a fake tension where Sally was ready to send him away before, where we see Sally struggling to be the mother that she knew Percy deserved--and have it juxtaposed with Percy getting a chance to save his mom in the present, but being presented with a dilemma. I get the narrative purpose of the inclusion, plot-wise. Emotionally though? Percy didn't know about the Sally-Poseidon conversation. All he knows is that his mom was struggling before. That his mom loves him but is having a hard life caring for him. And that knowledge does not create tension when Percy has to make a choice between getting his mom or Grover out of hell.
But what really makes the adaptation a disappointment for me is the finale. It's a stellar finale. Well-crafted. The scenes included are the scenes needed for the characters to grow, to make the decisions they have to make, and for us to root for them. So it made me really angry that we couldn't have this same quality of plotting for the five episodes that preceded it.
Where were the Camp Half-Blood scenes that would make Luke more of a friend? He was barely in the second and third episodes, and his flashback scenes in the finale were not enough. Where were the scenes at camp where Percy questions why all unclaimed half-bloods end up at the Hermes cabin?
Why was Clarisse the red herring when all we've seen of her character is her irrational dislike of getting one-upped by a newcomer?
With Percy Jackson getting a second season, I really hope the writing team figures out a way to make us care about what's happening to our heroes. I hope the milieu is more integral to the stories that will come. And I hope there's a better balance of humor, fun, and seriousness that was missing from the first season.
Also, for the love of all viewers, light the scenes properly. I know darkness makes it easier to weave in budget-friendly special effects--but some of the hard-to-see scenes in the first season did not have any CGI for that excuse to work.

What is actually additional, I was not the one one particular. I spoke to a few of my mates, and it turns out which they had bought comparable items with out realizing they had been knock-offs. At that time, it was much too late to do something about this. We just had to accept that we were fooled.

For me, acquiring a top quality, authentic item is worth the additional Price. Pretend items are only a false economy - they could look the identical, but it really's only a make any difference of your time ahead of they start to crumble. That is why I generally make the effort to ensure that what I am acquiring is a real post.
Given that I've shared the many benefits of Replica luggage, let us learn what the downsides are. Just one important difficulty that Many of us have is that they're fearful they are going to obtain a counterfeit product. While this is real, if you purchase from the dependable corporation that provides a a refund guarantee, Then you can certainly be certain you might be obtaining a significant-quality products.

An additional challenge is usually that it can be hard to distinguish in between a real plus a reproduction. This really is why it is vital to acquire from a dependable supply because they are more likely to promote high-quality goods. In some instances, the businesses that provide replicas can be found abroad, that may be a bit of a hassle.
In spite of these negatives, Replica luggage remain a lovely choice for Lots of people. Not simply are they less costly, but they look equally as fantastic and possess the exact same attributes as an unique style and design. But, before you purchase a Reproduction bag, Make sure you do your investigation and buy from a company you could rely on. That way, you can ensure that you are getting the genuine offer!

The overarching themes of Vanitas no Carte: Identity
The Case Study of Vanitas is a very good, too little known manga (I hope the anime changes something), with some central themes than are exposed in different ways through different characters. In this meta, I want to explore one that was brought to my attention pretty recently: here a little examination on the various ways to face one's own identity in The Case Study of Vanitas.
The Stable Identity( Noè)
Tumblr media
Let's start off with the positives, shall we? Noè has probably the most secure personal identity of all the bunch.
And this is pretty amazing, considering everything he went through. He has no memory of his birth family, but gets adopted by some nice people - who die shortly afterwards. Right at their graves, he is kidnapped by slaves, in an accident that left him injured. Then he is bought by someone who actually treats him nicely and is a good mentor for him, he finds many friends his age - and then one of them, the one he was closest to, turns out to be a cursebearer, kills all of the others and then tries to kill him; he is saved by the mentor, who beheads the friend right in front of him. The most immediate emotion is relief for being alive, and he will always feel terrible for that. Then, he has to witness his surviving friend try to cope very badly with her mourning by repressing her identity and try to substitute it with that of her dead twin. That's a lot.
And Noé reacted to all of this by becoming a confident person, kind and attentive to others, but not to the point of being a pushover. I'm not saying he walked away unscathed from the events of his childhood: he regrets the way he handled things with Louis, the way he didn't understand him, and has developed quite the savior complex as a result.
What I'm saying is that he is probably one of the very few well-adjusted people in the psychiatric ward that is Vanitas no Carte. He is still questioning himself, but in a normal way for a nineteen-years-old that has just left a sheltered environment for the big wide world. He is aware of some of his strenghts (his naivete) and is realizing others (putting unfair expectations on other people, underestimating other people due to racial biases); but most importantly, when he realizes these mistakes, he doesn't run away from them or obsess over them believing they make him a horrible person: he recognizes them, apologizes to the wronged person if necessary, and works on improving them.
This isn't to say he's completely happy-go-lucky with no regrets; he feels guilty about being relieved that he lived while Louis died, and he has a lot of uncertainties regarding his identity as an Archiviste and the impact his powers can have on other people. But he managed not to tie his entire identity to that guilt; and as for the second point, Teacher helped him rationalise that and figure out a conduit that didn't undermine him and at the same time showed respect for others. Noè went through several traumas, but received one thing most of the cast didn't: guidance and support from his environment. Whatever Teacher's actual motives are, he shaped a well-balanced person.
The Group Identity (The dhamps, appearently 99% of vampirekind)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Us dhams are only loyal to each other!" This is what Dante says in one of the first chapters, giving us the first clues to their status as outcasts.
The war between humans and vampires ended up with each deciding to keep to themselves, but dhampires are the living exception to that silent agreement. So, both societies decide to reject them, and they can't find a place in the world unless they stick to others of their own kind. This common history of traumatic experiences of abandonment and subsequent resentment of both human and vampire society for it goes on to create a very strong group identity: the only ones they give a damn about are those like them, everyone else is a potential enemy and is only good to be exploited.
Then, we have the vampire culture. I mean ... it might be because insofar we have met almost exclusively aristocrats obsessed with their respectability ... but they have a lot of prejudices.
You're born under a uncommon moon? You're a pariah. You're mixed race? You're a pariah. Your parents committed a crime? You're a pariah, and are used as a tool. You're born as part of a set of twins? Either you or your sibling are killed at birth, because of something that is SAID, not even a certified element of vampire biology. You're stuck with a curse? You're executed, no attempts to heal you.
Their society seems to run on an ideal model of person which depends on factors outside the individual's control, and whoever doesn't fit this description and deviates from the group in any shape or form gets ridiculously fierce punishment. They make the freaking Church look good by comparison, at least their repressive and racist side is composed of extremists instead of everymen.
The Clan Identity (Chloé, and partially Noé again)
Tumblr media
Chloé identifies with a group of people too; but it's not a race, it's a family. The D'Apchier family, the nobles who are responsible for Gevaudan. Her father made sure she had this idea in her right from the start, and she interiorized it.
And this had mixed results: while on the one hand she was chained to self-loathing by the guilt of having accidentally caused the massacre of the family and was only saved by Jeanne and Jean-Jacques reclaiming her as part of theirs, on the other she was able to resist to Naenia because of the love and responsibility she felt towards the people of Gevaudan. Chloé is, at this point, the only curse-bearer who managed to trick and attempted to fight directly against Charlatan.
Then there is Noé in relation to his Archiviste identity. He seems to think of it mainly in negative terms, very conscious of the living invasion of privacy it turns him into ... and nothing else. We have never seen him wonder about who his birth parents were, ask himself why he doesn't remember anything, why was the clan exterminated, or how he feels about being a survivor, one of the only ones if not outright the only. He sees his heritage as a burden, and hasn't thought of it in any different term. I wonder how a change in perspective could impact the above 'stable identity'.
The Someone Else's Identity (Vanitas, Dominique)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I already dedicated a whole post to this trait they share, so I'll be short: both Vanitas and Dominique hate themselves and try to become something worthy by taking elements of people they admire: Louis for Dominique, a combination of his birth father and Luna for Vanitas.
The Object Identity (Jeanne)
Tumblr media
The very first thing Jeanne was said in her whole life was that she was an object. A vessel for something (or someone?) else, who mustn't have feelings or desires of her own. Encouraging, isn't it?
Luckily, this wasn't all she got in life. Soon afterwards, she was adopted by Eric and Louise, who loved her a lot, received kindness by Ruthven, met Chloé who became an older sister to her. Unluckily, all of this was taken away from her in the most cruel way possible.
She couldn't make any sense of her parents's betrayal and death, and the way her life suddenly changed; she rationalised it by telling herself that it was her fault, if she had been just the good object everyone told her to be nothing would have happened. So she accepts the Object Identity: she is a tool, so she doesn't feel, she exists only to obey orders, and as long as she is nobody else will ever suffer. It gets even worse after she fails to kill Chloè: she couldn't fulfill her duties, and both her and her big sis suffered for it. This mindset traps her in a world of pain, but also prevents her from facing the fact that she is subject to a senseless injustice, one she has no control over.
Vanitas managed to help her with that. He validated her feelings, and showed her that nobody had to die if she had them, solving the situation with Chloé and Jean-Jacques. This gave her a nice confidence boost, returning her to the cheerful attitude she had as a young girl; the consequences of this change remain to be seen.
The Unknown Identity (Luna)
Tumblr media
This one is interesting because Luna themselves is pretty explicit about it. They see themselves as something 'other', who is outside commonly used categorization; starting with 'male or female' (and here I am left wondering if they had specific sexual characteristics but didn't feel like they 'fit', or were intersex and nonbinary, or had an entirely different biology from both vampires and humans).
Luna doesn't like this condition: they said they tried to figure out what they were, to understand themselves, and they regret doing so now. Why? Maybe they didn't find any answer and were left perpetually unsatisfied, or they found an answer, and they found it to be awful?
Still, this indicates Luna has never been particularly happy with themselves, and this found no resolution. And then they died. Nice, uh?
Well, I think this was all. There are other characters I would like to know more about in regard to this, like Ruthven, Marquis Machina, and Mikhail, but there is still time.
All in all, I'd say Vanitas no Carte explores the theme of identity pretty throughly; many character arcs are still in progress, and I'm interested about how things will develope especially for Vanitas, Dominique and Jeanne.
Thanks to anyone who bothered to read my ramblings!

A fun fact I find hilarious is that you apparently were going to have a second option at what to carve on Louis' piano but the writers thought it was too inappropriate and quickly axed it, the rumors being it would have been a dick. Imagine if Clem could carve that and it would just result in Louis leaving XDD I understand why they axed that, talk about an asshole thing to do (which also makes me wonder if Louis was going to leave if she did that, what would she have potentially done with Violet to make *her* leave?) Good thing they decided it wasn't necessary to *always* give Clementine an "asshole" response, lol.
ugghhhh not the dick sksksks
yeah, I know about that one, too. The disrespect in carving a dick into Louis' piano, I can't.... Like, imagine that you're having this moment together. Louis planned this little prank on you with tuning the piano to break some tension, he's so happy that you decided to spend time with him. He trusts you and is comfortable enough to want to carve your initials into his piano, something that is a source of comfort for him so this is a huge deal, and you just....... carve a dick.
I firmly believe that if Clem pulled that shit and then was like "btw I like-like you," he would've down right rejected her and for good reason! You just proved that you're no different than the others who carved "you suck at playing!" onto the side and who knows what else has been done to it over the years when Louis wasn't around!
I'm glad they tossed that out. No one who picked to go with Louis would pick that anyway, unless you didn't like him... but if you didn't like him, then you probably didn't pick to go with him anyway soooo.... what's the point? Other than to do an asshole Clem run? I dunno.
That scene is one of the best in the entire game so it hurts my brain to think of it being ruined by such a thing hahaha. It's also so important to Louis' character and the development of his relationship with Clementine, romantic or not. I've said it before, and I'll never stop saying it, but Louis gives off the illusion that he's so open since he's so friendly but really, he's so closed off that this is the first time he willfully pulls down his walls to let Clementine in.
The only times he comes close to doing this is accidental. When you're in the woods and help him take care of the walker, he gives you insight into how he thinks and gets just a bit too close... but that was a small moment and he catches himself. It's like a switch is flipped- "ha ha I'll take care of our friend here, go over there with Aasim goodbye." then he turns his back to you and that's it. End of conversation.
Then there's the archery scene where he apologizes to Clem about voting them out, which I give a lot of credit to him for. It's rare for someone to apologize to Clem for hurting her to begin with, and if they do, they usually just turn around and repeat the same hurtful behavior. Louis doesn't do that, he's genuine and wants to be better and he proves that.
Also, might I add that he's having some trust issues at this point? His best friend for the past 8+ years? turns out, he's lied to him for the past year about the twins and was lying right to his face during the confrontation when trying to manipulate him into believing Clementine murdered Brody... and Marlon can even tell him that yeah, he's pathetic but Louis was the only one who couldn't see that.... which it's heartbreaking to watch Louis' reaction to that.
On top of that, he trusted and defended Clementine and now Marlon is dead.... so the fact that he's able to forgive her and AJ for that as well as apologize for his mistakes and want to see where their relationship goes and is willing to open up to her? romantic or not? It's a HUGE deal.
which is why drawing a dick on his piano is terrible

So i discovered Amazon prime has Queen of the damned in their membership included now and i decided to finally give it a watching. To say that i'm disappointed is an understatement.
First of all: Who was this movie even made for? Like what's the target audience? As a common fantasy movie watcher you're not gonna be able to understand a thing because the lore behind the vampire chronicles isn't being explained and as a fan you're disappointed because there's a huge chunk of the actual story line missing and the rest is a complete mess. And i'm not critisizing the actors because they did a wonderful job with what they were given!
The movie already starts bad. Okay Lestat is sleeping because he is so disappointed in the world. But we're not given an explanation as to why! Why is he feeling that way? We would know if there had been a movie about the vampire Lestat! Because in order to for QOTD to make sense, you need to know what happened in Lestats backstory! Also Louis is missing, which rids the movie out of the depth of Louis begging Lestat not be influenced by Akasha and feeling betrayed by the fact the love of his undead life has run off to be with this evil Vampire Queen.
Moving on to Lestats movie backstory: Why was it changed to Marius as his maker? It doesn't make sense! It's a really important detail that Magnus made Lestat and there were a lot of dead young men looking just like him with blonde hair and grey eyes and he was finally the satisfying result in a series of failures! Also it's not explained why Marius is keeping watch over Akasha and Enkil which is a very important part in the book! The fact that they themselves sort of chose him to do it and why he was never able to get a reaction out of them!
Regarding Maharet: Oh boy. Her story was completely left out. Common viewers were sure confused why she was so adament about Akasha being stopped. The whole connection between her and Akasha was non existent in the movie! Also Mekare was missing so the whole ending of the movie didn't make sense.
About the Talamasca: No explanation as to what exactly it is and why it even exists and how Jesse came to work for them. Also David is supposed to be an elderly man, in his early to middle sixties! Paul McGann is an awesome actor but his reasoning being to old to be a vampire at the end doesn't make sense if he is portrayed as someone in his 40s with not a single grey hair to be seen!
Akasha: God bless Aaliyas soul in heaven! She did a great job portraying her. But this version of Akasha did not do her justice! It didn't show that her plan wasn't to kill all humans, she wanted to kill all the men, because women are superior in her eyes! Why would you leave that out?
Also the movie has a really weird pacing! When it reached the climax i was actually questioning if i was watching a cut down version. One moment Lestat sees Akasha is actually evil and selfish and it looks like he is questioning her and in the next he is by her side and we get the fight scene. Like...what? Where do we see the others joining forces to fight Akasha? Where do we see him being in a conflict about loving Akasha but not wanting to see her destroy the world?
So all in all this movie is a goddamn mess and a sad waste of money.

This has been in my mind for so long and I wanted to tell someone. I find you very friendly so I'll tell this to you.
I don't like the way the mainstream media addresses the speculation of Harry and Louis' relationship. They treat it as, speak of it as a silly fandom theory, or something that is middle school type with no weight. Why is that? Is it because it is mlm? Or is it because that is how the speculation started, like as a ship? I wonder do they ever research? Follow them, their schedules like they do with the stunts? It irks me a lot, because you guys spend a lot of time researching, learning new things doing big brain things (I love your big brain) to give a coherent writing.
When Harry was asked about SC, he was asked as "your relationship with Louis Tomlinson" which sounds much better than Louis being asked "Larry conspiracy" (what even was that?). I think I'm taking this personally. I think many of you have been used to it. Imma suck it up 😔
All I ask is treat with respect.
Hi! Thank you for your nice words and like choosing my inbox and all that lol, yey I'm friendly!
I'm gonna get into this because I also have stuff on my mind and I'm gonna tell you it right back, but I just wanna make clear that I'm not set on becoming a discourse blog haha. Everytime I answer asks like this it's met with more asks about such kinda things and although yeah I do have opinions I mainly wanna use this blog for my and your entertainment, and I feel like these kinda things dilute it loads and don't really result in bringing anyone much happiness at the end of the day. That said it's good to just write shit down to get them out of your mind (literally the reason I am here, but more in the sense of crazy SBB theories hehe) so let's just do that for a bit ;)
If it helps anything, I don't think the mainstream media has addressed this speculation in a good while. I might be forgetting things here but not since mid-2019 maybe? So two whole years? Of course you can do a quick search and find me a super recent "article" but the thing is that those are tiny tiny "news" nonsense websites, one of many that just recycle stories for clicks, and this conspiracy is a juicy one. If you're exposed to them you're either looking for them or are exposed to overactive baby larries not being able to distinguish types of sources. These kinda sites don't care it's right or wrong, sometimes I wonder if there are even people behind it or it's entirely automated lol. I mean it's a fasttrack to getting clicks here. It's something controversial about a big name celeb, and not just that, one that has a whole following that's gonna interact with posts like that. And that's all that matters. If you check what these kinda sources about anything else you will find many ridiculous and honestly hurtful claims about many celebrities. It's just recognizable name + shock factor = clickyclicky. It's bait, in this case, actual larrybait. (just to avoid this topic coming up again - I probably talk about whatever question this raises somewhere within this rant)
Ok this just kinda rambles on and instead of trying to make sure I don't repeat myself in an endless loop of nonsense I'm just gonna plomp in a cut and hit the post button and move on with my life so you're just gonna have to deal with that sorrryyyy
As for the things that did come from mainstream media before, a big difference between Louis being asked about the "Larry Organisation" and Harry about Sweet Creature is that I think Harry's interviewer was just naive and thought she just had a good question and there really wasn't much to it, like she full on expected him to have a little chuckle and go oh them silly fans no ofcourse not and was honestly confused when he just started channeling his inner horse for a good minute, but Louis' was a big ol setup for a denial, a classic The Sun Exclusive featuring the involvement of a bunch of punchable faces that had been shaping narratives around him for a good while. Like that one... pff it's so on the nose it's almost like they're making fun of their audience because really what the hell? If you want to have an example of a "presenter" telling you what opinion to have and what to think about what answer is gonna come up before the person even get's a chance to speek watch Dan Woototo talk before Louis brings up iPhone conspiracies.
Back to current times, I mean, there's no "narrative push", there's no outlet that's running the place (like The Sun or Mirror or TMZ) that's still pulling this shit. I'm talking the above kinda behavior. Yes there is a huge narrative push still, there's a push towards ho-ho-holivia, but no longer away from Larry as there has been in the past. I mean maybe they're saving it up for some kinda promo somehow, (Larrybait! Woo!) but call me hopeful, I do think it's in the past.
So yeah there still might be "media" that is part of the mainstream consensus bringing it up and treating it like a silly little theory, but that's based on news articles from years ago. And yeah that image is set, those narrative pushes that it's a conspiracy they're bothered with, that their friendship suffered from it and all that, that's out there now. That's the first thing you find then you start looking into this, when you somehow one way or another now become exposed to larry and start googling. That's what's being presented to us as how we should think and feel about this. And you know, most people aren't capable of spotting the way views are being shaped and just take whatever is spoonfed to them, like I'm sure there are many issues that I just take and swallow as they are presented to me that I don't realise have nuances to them (or are blatant lies even) that just don't have a grasp on whatsover, so who can blame them. But there are also many people that through whatever route have realised even the most credible sources are, how would you say, inclusive some form of agenda and purposefully add or lack nuance where there should or shouldn't have been, just because presenting it this way raises the least amount of questions, just because whoever is involved behind the scenes will have that result in the most comfortable / least problematic public response, just because writing this article that's full of bullshit was somehow better than another alternative for whatever reason. This is applicable to anything and everything, once you realise that everything revolves around money and isn't about honesty or the right thing to do, a whole lotta things are going to be put into perspective and start making sense. And I mean everything everything, I didn't necessarily write this with 2 people in love and having to hide it from the public in mind, because god that all sounds a bit much, but it is totally applicable there too. And I'm not tinhatting anything, this is like about the most basic little things, because there are nuances to things, nuances that if spelled out are just going to be misinterpreted by a large portion of the general public because let's face it we're just a bunch of idiots. As someone who has written articles (not to sound pretentious I'm just not finding a way to explain what I mean otherwise; and I mean research articles, absolutely not even close to the same things but perhaps similar in dealing with having to account for the "public"[in my case probably sad handful of specialists but ok]'s perception of your writing) it's totally a thing that you're gonna shape your story a certain way with maximum chances of the reader buying into your shit. In my case, it's not shit and I work very hard on making sure my claims are true (in, you know, actual research, not in my bullshit larry reaching because I can't and don't know that), and not finding (nearly) conclusive evidence is going to prevent me to write any article at all, which isn't the case in the entertainment industry. They can write about whatever they like, and they're going to be selling the stories that sell the best, with the goal of getting these stories out there (in case of a narrative exclusive thing).
The thing is, that you mention, "It irks me a lot, because you guys spend a lot of time researching, learning new things doing big brain things (I love your big brain) to give a coherent writing." You're here in my ask box, like just the fact that you found and read my blog means that you cared enough and were open enough to getting clarity the topic, for you to understand personally and form an opinion while being open to the idea of them actually being together, and on a personal level that's fine, and on a blog level that people only find once they start sniffing around on their own accord that's fine. Thinking of applying such a thing to a mainstream audience, thinking of someone who is somehow involved with mainstream media doing that for research as well... isn't... isn't a thing. Like imagine you're a writer, you write articles, you fall down a larryhole and somehow you have the opportunity to write an article about it that's going to reach a mainstream audience... would you write about it? Would you do it? I mean, what are you really doing then? Attempting to out them? Also why'd you bring this to the attention of people unaware, uninterested, lacking context, no grasp on how the industry works, perhaps even homophobic, etc... I don't think anyone would write about it. Like openly, kindly, just like truly about their relationship. (Unless you know done subtly ;) ) Those who are open to the idea that they're together, or even those who know the truth, stay silent. Because they value their privacy, understand it's an intricate issue and things are at stake you know, maybe even because they aren't allowed to. Or, again, they somehow subtly hint at it and that's all. You know, like articles just pointing out how nice they are, just articles just casually dropping they were at the same place without insinuating anything else, something like that. That's the kindness and respect that you're looking for.
I don't know what it's like, I don't live in that world, but I imagine that world really isn't all that big and everyone just kinda knows peoples public lives have little to do with their personal ones, and just treat them like, well, like the public versions of themselves when talking about/to them in public, and so it's mostly just not even brought up you know. I think loads of people are aware (and also they're not special at all in terms of being closeted in the industry, so for those not really that focused on this running conspiracy but knowing these people this is just another closeted couple you know so it's... I mean it's not normal but it's just what it is.). Just what makes them unlike any other is the decades worth of sneaky behavior to pick up on for those (fans) receptive to it, that they created a huge wave of people over time that are deeply invested in their relationship because it's what they have shown time and time again is something they want, that they're not letting go, they're keeping us here, they don't back the fuck down in letting us know they're insane[affectionate] little puzzling chaotic evil[affectionate] weirdos[affectionate], a side of them that nobody is going to notice unless you're a way too invested fan and these shits[affectionate] have trained you to send your brain into a frenzy like you have 3 mins left to finish your maths exam whenever there's any new content at all. Long story short nobody cares and that's not necessarily a bad thing.
But there have been interviewers that have shown some distaste when bringing up the ship, I know. I think those are some heteronormative outliers that just googled their names real quick for some spice and just found a larry conspiracy headline without any desire to break through that spoonfed opinion, are just blissfully hetty unaware that closeting is a thing even, and just feel perfectly content blatantly assuming their public images are exactly what they look like and that what they're doing is just a silly little funny question and nothing more, maybe paired with the expectation that the person they're interviewing is the hetty het het that would find the ship a big ew ew. I think you can tell sometimes with interviewers they get thrown off their game when the person isn't going along with their vibe, like that they entirely expected they would. Other times it's bait. Some times it's both.
It's a weird place, I don't think you can put every instance of speculation in the same box, I think it's mostly naive or naive+baity (not to mention very very het) interviewers and some ancient recycling of painful articles, but we'll see what the next round of promo will bring. Currently with the high-profile hohowiwiwa I think it's probably just not gonna be mentioned, like maybe even to the point where interviewers are gonna be asked just not to go there. Not based on much, just what makes sense to me. So yeah, the vast majority I think treats with respect (I think all the examples in here are pretty positive), it's just the crazy outliers you hear the loudest and kinda linger and leave a bad taste.
Anyyyyyway cute gif cute gif where are you gimme a good gif

Hi,I was the anon who sent you the ask about your friend when the variety article came out. First of all I want to apologize to you because I shouldn’t have come to you with a problem that doesn’t involve you, I guess I was just so angry/frustrated/sad with the stuff she and her anons said, because I knew lots of people just blindly believe stuff they read. I hope I didn’t make you feel bad with my ask and I also hope she knows now that artist don’t proofread articles from such big magazines(1)
(2) and then I also wanted to thank you. I’m so glad I found your blog, I even learned new things about Harry that I didn’t notice before. Thanks for speaking out against the double standards in this fandom. Sometimes I felt guilty for enjoying Harry’s content because of some louies and the stuff they wrote on here but I’m not gonna let them ruin my favourite person for me especially because they come from a place of hate. So again I hope I didn’t bother you and stay the way you are!
lmao i just want to bring up something that jen said about the whole article mess, which is that VOGUE MAGAZINE printed thousands of copies of harry's issue with the journalist's blunder that says that harry and gemma have different fathers. that there is the best example that there is no truth to this belief that they had any control over what the article said, and trying to blame hshq AND harry for allowing hshq to ignore a journalist diminishing louis' career when that's not what happened at all wasn't it. i genuinely hope so many of y'all do better because it happens time and time again and then it's proven to be wrong but this fandom never learns from their mistakes of being so quick to react to something you don't have the full picture of.
we shouldn't feel guilty for being happy for harry, or for celebrating the things that he has been able to accomplish in his career! it's wonderful and, frankly, terrifying watching him grow as an artist! but we should be allowed to be proud of him without constantly being reminded that louis is unfortunately not where he could be too if life didn't pan out for him the way that it has! i hope one day everything will work out in louis' favor, and i will continue supporting both of them unconditionally so i hope more people reflect on why exactly they're here and learn to do the same! 💗

The Ballad Of Me & My Brain • The City | Mini Series / m.h. of The 1975 x OC
a/n; I’m just uploading work from my Wattpad archives (user: sunphazed) this is a series I was working on and stopped and I kinda have hopes to start it up again. Who knows? Anyways, enjoy xx
WARNING; this story in includes triggering materials
Tumblr media
Matty's POV.
The steel blue of the night sky collided with the amber gold that reflected from the lustered glass lamp on my night stand. I lied there, my hands behind my head as my body sunk into the chilled sheets beneath me. I sighed. Grabbing my menthols from between the box spring and the bed. My mind swarmed in a cloud of thoughts. I sat up a bit, bringing the flame of my zippo to fag rested on my lips. It's glistening exterior, warming the profile of my face as I held it close. The crumble of the paper disintegrating when I inhaled, exhaling slowly as I watched the swirls of slated smoke. Cut through the spring breeze of the cracked window, moving like the sleep I needed but couldn't grasp.
I looked on, tracing out the room I have began to call home in the little matter of weeks. Cream, dingy walls that held the thoughts of the past human once staying here. My handy work at it's lowest. Small snippets of the bands that played out while on a aimless route to nowhere, poorly hanging over my dresser. To a Polaroid of my baby brother that I selfishly left behind. Only to know it would be best cause he doesn't need a bloke like me around.
Back home my room was a shade of baby blue that was beginning to fade from it's age. Large posters of Sid Vicious, Morrissey. My shitty handwriting on spiral book paper, of my writings or of the writers that helped me to stay existent. Where I stayed up all hours like now, pondering. Thinking of my next move.
Beginning to think about the life I was familiar with before Handforth. My mum paying a visit today was a bit overwhelming. Feeling my mum's red dipped hands draping over mine, watching her smile, radiantly. I missed her and her home cooked meals. All reassuring that she was trying to comprehend this. Keeping it together as she was ready to unravel and question this stale institution.
Mike didn't tag along which I didn't want to see him anyways. Louis was at secondary and I was glad. It was warming to hear that he was doing well, picking up lacrosse and my mum called him out on playing my records. I would have loved to see him, but I wanted him to remember the goods back home. Not having to explain why I left home to begin with.
They haven't gotten the full extent on why I ran away, at least not like Ms. Palermo has heard. Being that if I stayed one more day in Cheshire. The door to my room would've been cold, metal bars. So it was safe covering it up with the story of the 'divorce' and that school wasn't cutting it. I didn't want to watch my mum's unsure sensitivity knotted into her smile, worsen by my dismay. Like the way it did when I told her I didn't want to go home.
I took another long drag, feeling my cheeks dent and the inhale sugar coat my lungs. Running my fingers through my jet black mane. I roused, taking a few steps to my window as the thoughts progressed. I followed the constellation of streetlights outside my room, remembering how on nights like this. I'd be sneaking out the window of my room. Venturing out to the city and sneaking into clubs my fake ID would allow. Ending up back in my bed before my family noticed, sometimes ending up in the beds of others. Women preferably of course. Which reminded me.
My vision derailing to the same amber luminous glow scattered in mine. Coming through the glass panes of the room in west hall. Emma's room. She was casually sitting on her sill, aimless looking up at the sky and all of it's beaded stars. Seeing that she was doing the same as me, pondering as the smoke left her lungs and into the night air. Emma has been a key entertainment since I've settled here. Finding her and I sneaking into each others rooms. To listening on low the beat up records the center supplied in the common hall. Discovering that had bit more in common than shagging about in the janitorial
I admired Emma. Her brazen tude, the denim short skirts she wore. The visionary mind above her shoulders, that bleed out on crisp thick paper. Watching as her silver covered fingers clasped around charcoal, pursued something bright. Noticing from time to time as her handwork slowed and a shade of rouge painted her porcelain cheeks. Today was no different than before, as I admired her. But earlier crossed my mind again. Remembering that I hadn't seen her wandering after her visitors stop by.
As my mother talked about the neighbourhood and the Spring festival coming up this Saturday. I surpassed her as I watched the other table near by. Emma with her visitors. One deeming as her mother. The same shade of honey dipped blonde, mirroring the same beam that I seen on Emma. Adorned in a pretty flowy top over white capris and sandals. Talking as I could word out simple things like 'I'm fine' and 'Okay'. Catching up and probably hearing the same lecture I was getting.
I glanced over a few more times, I was beginning to notice the dark hair figure that accompanied her mum. Broad shoulders, a dirty hippy as some would say in his Stones shirt. Old ripped jeans and beat up sneakers. Possibly her dad but there was no baring resemblance when sitting next to her mother.
Questioning why she never made eye contact with the man. Instead looking like she was going to hurl, on the verge of combustion as her lip became a chew toy. Following Emma turning in and disappearing into the depths of her room. I wondered why she acted in this manner. Why her blatant aura was flattened and defeated. Then it hit me. I placed the last of my cigarette into the cup with a drop of water. Looking down at my Docs that I had intentions to kick off, soon be double knotted. Throwing on my leather overlay and headed out to her room.
-----------------------------------
Emma's POV.
My mind was still trying to wrap around today. A visit that I awaited on Tuesdays. Once excited to see her. Now being replaced with a stab to my gut when she wasn't alone this time. Instead bringing the man that drove me away. Feeling myself in knots as he sat next to me, his eyes etching me out. Gazing at the clock for it to strike two so he could stop resting his viscous hand on my knee.
I thought she believed me. Specially when she told me that she made Frank leave after I confessed my reasoning for leaving. I thought I was noticing progress in myself, possibly even announcing that I wanted to come home. Something that I know she has been waiting to hear for months. Only to have that suggestion came to a immediate halt. I isolated myself in this room that was beginning to feel less safe as now my worst nightmare knew where I was.
Nothing being able to subside it, not even when I sat pretzel legged in front of the jimmied, handmade easel I built. With legs of a table I snuck in from Angry Andy flipping months earlier. Laces from my talking All Stars and nail polish that I remembered worked as an adhesive in my secondary Science course. I would've had half a portrait of a homeless man I seen on the street. Outlined and sketched, possibly shading in his evening shadow around his jaw. I never cried so much in the months I've been here like today. God, I was supposed to be making someone's life miserable than living in my own misery.
I grabbed the box of cloves in my shoes, misplaced under my bed. When the weakness of my limps felt like they had lifted. My feet met the carpet, suddenly rising again when I sat on my window sill. Gazing out at the night that had came upon rapidly than some before. Counting the cars that drove by when wishing on stars obviously didn't work for shit. I exhaled the sweet departure of the clove that lingered on my lips briefly. Cracking the pane a bit, as the smoke immediately evaporated within the gusts of Spring. I felt my shoulders slump as I sighed into another exhale.
In the corner of my eye, I noticed a shadow walking in front of the window. Of the room in south wing I found myself in from time to time. I had a feeling that Matty may have connected two and two together earlier on. Sometimes feeling his whiskey eyes on me as I began to feel small from the blue eyes stabbing at me like daggers. Matty knew a jist of my past, nothing extravagant but only enough to explain why I lied with him most nights.
He was learning though, just in the way his expression changed. When I met his gaze and all I wanted to do was cry. He knew this as that gaze trailed to my quivering lip that I was trying so hard to contain between my teeth. Or maybe he didn't? By this time, I would've heard the jiggle of my doorknob rotating. The boy with so many questions and seeking so many answers, seeing his figuration peering through the doorframe.
Eventually coming to conclusion that the casual fornication that Matty and I indulged in. Never amounted to anything past that line as he still looked out his window. Then again, that was my fault for wanting to feel different under the touch of someone else. I stood up from the window, with the clove still hanging from my lips.
Dragging my feet against the vomit colored gray carpet before towering over my dresser. Reaching into the top draw, pulling out the coral oversized shirt that could set out as a nightgown. Placing it on the top of it as I looked up at the mirror hanging on the wall. Taking my hair between my hands as I worked an upward motion to place it in a band.
That's when I heard the usual jiggle of the knob. My eyes meeting the boy dressed in black, head to toe as he entered my room lightly.
"Hey" He greeted little ways above a whisper. Holding up the door, there was something about this dark mass that crept up on me at night. His jet black hair, pushed back on top the center of his head. His leather jacket hanging steady over his broad shoulders, how his tee shirt and jeans hug properly over his build. Only wanting to tear each article off like the night before, because he looked so good and I was sick of it. But tonight, I wasn't much for it.
I looked away after I perfected a messy bun, shaking my head as I went to grab my shirt off the dresser. "I'm not in the mood." I remarked, a bit annoyed that he probably came here with those intuitions. I was wrong, profoundly.
"I'm not either." He replied, then.
My eyes meeting him again, following him as he trailed over to my closet. Noticing that he was bringing out my jean jacket. I placed my hands onto my dresser, my brow rising a bit. Watching as he stepped a bit closer, with a smirk paired with intentions I was oblivious to. "We're getting out of here." He stated, placing the jacket over my shoulders. Feeling the heat of his hands as they lingered above the fabric.
A rush of shock came over me, almost obliterated in the rush that consumed me. I wasn't sure if it was from the plan or the way it left his lips. My mouth went haywire, "W-what?" I questioned, then.
"There's cameras everywhere.... What if they notice us missing?" I began, then. My mind flooding because what if we couldn't come back after they had found us gone. Being taken out of my own thoughts when Matty placed his hands on mine that were moved in exaggeration with my talk.
Obviously the worry not consuming him like it did me. Matty's chuckled rippled softly through the amber lit room. I followed as he backed up, "You're worried about being caught?" He raised his brow at me. Feeling my cheeks warm from the slight memory of what he was talking about. I shook my head, prying my hands away, walking towards my bed.
"What about Ms. Astrich?" I spoke once more, before I spun to face him again. She was the supervisor at night, sitting at the front desk. Waiting for some sort of trouble made by the kids here. "Did you think about how fast I got here?" He mentioned, explaining that she was either asleep or off in another wing. Matty just happened to get by in good time.
"Why would I think that?" I exclaimed, folding my arms across my chest. "I seen you watching me." He noted, only to roll my eyes at how cocky he could be sometimes. Even if it was partially true, but I wasn't the only accomplice.
"You're a jerk." I remarked, my brows furrowing at him as he chuckled. "You were watching me too." Catching him off for a split second before he shrugged, "What's your point?" He questioned back. We were silent for a moment, looking everywhere else but each other as our thoughts spoke among us. Matty just sighed, breaking my train of thoughts when I noticed his dark silhouette heading for the door.
"Where are you going?" I asked, my hands dropping to my sides. "I'm going out, like I said." He replied once more. Feeling this sudden sting near my chest when he said that, still not understanding why. Only thinking about how this might be the last bit of conversation I'd have with him.
I peered out the window near us, biting my lip in the same moment. I hadn't stepped into Wilmslow in months. I felt that I had lost all direction that made me street smart. A part of me was my adrenaline overflowing. I wanted to do this, bathe myself under the moonlit sky and do anything that made me feel sane again. The other was the fear of what to actually expect, and the stress I felt earlier holding me back like a strap on a bed.
When I turned back to Matty, he was inches away from me now. The light of outside glistening against his face, watching it dance as he moved his hand near my cheek. Moving some of my hair behind my ear that had freed itself from my bun. "Do you trust me, Em?" Falling nonchalantly. I chuckled a bit at how loosely it did too. Only to be dumbfounded by my return of an answer.
"Yes." I replied, then. Meeting his eyes that swirled in rich golds and browns around his dark pupils. Finding a sincerity in them, something I never found in my lifetime. Knowing that I caught a grasp of it. "Come with me then." He said again.
I gazed at him as he watched me sit on the bed, grabbing my shoes from underneath. Admiring his expression as it relaxed, only displaying that he was nervous too. Not having much of an idea of what we were getting ourselves into.
"So," I said, jumping to my feet after I laced up chucks. Properly placing the jacket he rested on my shoulders, around my arms. "Where are we actually going?" I asked, as silence filled in the gaps between us. Waiting for some type of shrug to play off his toned upper body. I draped my crossbody over my chest. Looking back up at a smiling Matty, a smile that only implied that he knew exactly where we were heading now.
"The City."

All that jazz// tyrus fanfic
Summary: T.J. finds out that cyrus is related to clarienetist benny goodman and bonds with his dad over jazz.
In other words: everything you ever wanted.
“Jonah that's ridiculous” Andi shook her head “yeah Jonah I'm all about validating people's feelings but this is just ridiculous.” Cyrus put his hands on the table already ready to give a huge speech to the young anxious boy in front of him. “what's ridiculous?” T.J. asked sliding in next to Jonah since the seat by cyrus was take. By Andi “T.J.! My man! hey listen… Have you ever thought about singing?” Jonah asked making T.J. crack a smile “What?” “Don't listen to him he is extra crazy today.” Andi whispered “I'm not crazy I just need someone to sing with me at open mic night Thursday.” Jonah defended himself biting half of his baby tater. “Don't you always sing at open mic night? What's so different about this time?” T.J. asked “I just don't want to do the same thing every single time, you know? Cyrus doesn't want to help me out but that's fine next time he wants extra baby taters he better not ask me.” Jonah said joking “Goodmans aren't singers!! I don't know what to tell you.” Cyrus said
“Really? then who is that jazz singer your parents were telling us about last week? Did he Just become famous for not being able to sing?” that caught T.J.'s attention and he looked up from his baby taters “He wasn't a singer Jonah he was a clarinet player.” Andi said in a duh tone “wait” T.J. finally spoke making the three friends look at him ”Benny goodman?” He asked making Cyrus make a face “Yeah how do you know him?” Cyrus asked “Cyrus,, he helped guide the swing era in the 1930s how could I not know him? people literally called him the king of swing!” he explained “hm” cyrus looked impressed “You know, my dad always joked that i could use Benny goodman to make friends.”
---------------
“Dad, Sharon we're home.” Cyrus called out as T.J. and him walked through the door he walked to his dad's office seeing the light that indicated when a patient was in was off he opened the door. “oh, hey boys.” he said as they walked in “Hey dad, can I show T.J. benny's clarinet?”  Rob (idk his dad's name uh) looked up “You haven't asked to see that thing in years.” “Yeah well” cyrus pointed slightly to T.J. “He's a fan.” cyrus smiled “I never thought I'd see the day.” rob smiled “why yes of course come here T.J. he put his hand on his back gesturing him to come around the desk behind him was a tall and long black shelf that took up most of the back wall. Rob reached up and cyrus realized the top of the shelf was deeper than he imagined because he pulled out 3 cases one by one. “Cyrus go start the tea please?” He opened the first case and he could just faintly hear his dad explaining the type of each one once the door was closed. “Did T.J. already leave?” His step mom asked “No he is with dad.” Cyrus said pouring water in a pot. “That can't be good for him” she joked “Actually” cyrus said sitting down “I think it's really good for him, he knew who benny goodman was and seems like a fan.” he smiled “oh honey, that really isn't good for him.” she said picking up her coffee. Cyrus gave her a . confused look “Your father will never let him leave now.” she laughed “you're right I should check on them.” he laughed
He walked in to see his dad showing T.J. the last clarinet. “Be careful your holding history” he smiled Cyrus stood back as his dad walked across the room to the piano.
“when I was a kid my parents forced jazz on me and by the time I was 8 they took me to my first lesson. man did I hate it the first year but now I love it.” he played a few notes before turning toward T.J. “Do you play?” Cyrus expected T.J. to say no “A bit yes, mind if I?” He gestured to the piano and rob got up “Not all please show us what you've got kid.”
A familiar tune came through and cyrus had no idea who it was but he knew he heard it before. seconds later his mom came in and then he remembered; his mom use to always play this song when he was younger. The song came to an end and sharon spoke up “Billie is one of my favorites, you played that beautifully T.J. How long have you been playing?” she asked “uh” T.J. thought for a moment “This june it will be 10 years, I started June when I was 5 though I haven't played in a while.”  he got up “let's see what you got Dr goodman” T.J. stood up “I feel like you're challenging me and you're challenge is accepted” he said and Cyrus caught his step mom rolling her eyes “I think it's time to let the boys be rob.” she smiled “you don't care that i steal your boyfriend do you cyrus?” Cyrus choked on his drink before saying “I would if i had one” T.J. laughed and rob had a facial expression one could read till realization hit him “oh OH I'm sorry” he said turning around “Anyways I'll leave the boys alone after I play a little louis Armstrong, do you listen to him T.J.?”
“Only as often as I breathe Dr. Goodman” rob laughed “I like him” he said “please call me rob.” That made sharon and Cyrus look at eachother with shocked faces. Cyrus’ dad is really nice but he doesn't make it a habit to tell cyrus’ friends to use his first name. Before they had time to speak Rob started playing what a wonderful life it was a nice tune cyrus decided he was going to ask him what it was named after. After it was done It was T.J's turn to look impressed “okay, okay you definitely one that” he smiled leave it to T.J. to make everything a competition “Are you staying for dinner?” Rob asked and T.J. looked to cyrus who said “yes” after that they went to cyrus’ room next door. “My dad really likes you.” cyrus said taking a sip of his tea “and i really like you” T.J. said making Cyrus choke on his drink for the second time today “today when your dad called me your boyfriend” he said asking if he remembered “yeah?” Cyrus said in a way that meant continue “I didn't correct him because sometimes I forget that we aren't together. Am i crazy? That sounds,, really crazy.  I know we haven't talked about it and i don't even know if you're gay Cyrus but I do like you and I'm just. going put it out there and i hope if you don't feel the same we can still be friends.” he said quickly after a few seconds of silence he added “but I'm really anxious so at least a “No I don't like you T.J. and yes you are crazy” would be great to hear. “Yes I do like you and you definitely aren't crazy” cyrus smiled “Cyrus will go out with me tomorrow?” T.J. asked “of course I will” cyrus smiled putting his hand on top of his after awhile of them just staring at eachother T.J. spoke up “Wow” he lightly laughed shaking his head “What?” Cyrus smiled towards him “I got believe benny goodman really got us together” He laughed resulting in cyrus hitting him with a pillow and T.J. laughing and hitting him back
---------In the other room------------------------
“So… do we tell them the walls are thin?” Rob asked “Don't you dare” sharon hit his shoulder
“It's not our fault we heard! we tell that boy to go downstairs or somewhere else when I have patient.” He said “I can't believe he said benny goodman got them together” he whispered smiling “Right? Talented and funny he is a keeper” sharon laughed.
