I really just wish they would consistently allow Y'shtola to actually be blind. I loved the moment in Shadowbringers where she asked Urianger to describe the night sky to her. I loved her mistaking the Warrior of Light for a Lightwarden because she can't actually see their physical appearance, just the quality of their aether. But by default the writing assumes that her ability to see aether completely cancels out her loss of vision. She goes to the library and she can just... read print books. You could come up with really interesting and creative technological and magical accommodations for her disability, like mammets or familiars that read text to you! but instead she's just written 98% of the time like she isn't disabled and it's frustrating.

I'll never forgive ffxiv for not letting the WoL show affection to the twins. You spend the whole game with them watching them grow and hurt and change, and I REALLY feel like they deserve some hugs or at least something more than a couple dialog options and the stoic silent nod lol. Alphinaud canonically looks up to the WoL as an older sibling, and Alisaie repeatedly relies on them as a close companion and guardian. Those kids be starved as hell for any kind of positive role model to tell them they're doing great (which is even more true later on aha).

I was so disappointed when the reunion with them in Norvrandt was just them talking at you. Thancred gets to give Ryne headpats, why can't I have that for the twins!! Let me show them how proud of them I am I NEED them to understand that I care them so much-

So this goes off my own personal idea of my Azem being a figure of mercy. I can't articulate this very well but I just really liked the visual concept of it. There are two versions, one without the Azem hands and one with them.

I really wish I had the words to better describe the idea I had in mind when I put this together but the main idea was to 1) push myself in a water piece and 2) incorporate a personal HC that I had for Azem. Zenos just happened to be a character I wanted to draw that that moment so it just kind of combined from there. The flowers are based off of the Royal Menagerie flowers but his outfit is from what he wore later on. Maybe I drew Zenos too soft and coherent to emotions he isn't tuned into in the game but I just think it looks pretty.

happy birthday shadowbringers!!! when i started playing ffxiv i never thought i would get so into the game that i fell into a wol/npc ship void (i bounced off it the first time i tried playing and had to be convinced to give it another shot, lol), but then shadowbringers dropped and my wol ended up deeply in love with some catboy or whatever so here we are 4 years later lmaoooo i was hoping i'd have time to finish solus and g'raha's wedding art before the anniversary, but an absurd amount of life things happened this past year and i just haven't had the time i've needed lately, so instead here's some shb-themed art of them starting with the very first art i did of them up to the most recent! if anyone has stuck around long enough to remember some of the older ones, thank you LOL
