there was smoke. so much of it. there were screams coming from all directions and you could hear flames near. you weren't sure where you were or how you even winded up there. you had previously been trying to help Van get the oxygen mask because the plane was falling and then all of the sudden you're on your back with a burning sensation coming from your leg and other parts of your body. it felt like you were dying. all you could do was stare at the sky, it was bright blue but the dark smoke was making it hard to see how beautiful it actually was.
you could hear screams, people calling for help and others trying to find their friends. you could hear her voice. you could hear your name being called out by her and your best friend. you knew they were looking for you but truthfully you weren't sure where you even were. you couldn't stand, couldn't even lift your head more than an inch without a scorching pain running through it. it was almost felt like you were paralyzed. you wished you were dead. if you were paralyzed you hoped someone would kill you, wished sleep would consume your body and take you away forever.
there was a lot to live for. you were well aware of that. you were only eighteen, you had a full scholarship waiting for you back home and two loving parents that would never be the same without you. could you live? was there a reason to? you weren't dumb, you knew you were in the middle of nowhere and if you were hurt you'd have no hope. there's be no hope to help your injuries. you'd be dead weight.
the sky was beautiful. you'd never been the one to pay much attention to it. you preferred the starry night rather than the bright blue but not then. not in that moment when all you could think about was the fact that you'd be leaving angry at her. how could she live with that? how could you die with that? there was no way.
the source of your thoughts was getting closer, you could hear them calling your name, their voices getting closer and closer. Jackie was with her. you recognized her voice and maybe Tai? you weren't sure. you were tempted to say you were there, to tell them you were alive but you couldn't get your mouth to move or any words to come out. you felt like you weren't in your body. you wished you weren't. the pain was excruciating.
Shauna on the other hand didnt have a single scratch. she woke up with Jackie, woke up immediately looking for you but she couldn't find you. not on the plane at least. she wanted to save Van but she couldn't, Jackie pulled her away whilst telling her they needed to get to safety. she was looking for you. they both were. none of them said it at first, as soon as they were off the plane they both took in their surroundings quickly. there was no sign of you.
Shauna had been the one to call for you first and Jackie followed quickly after. they helped couldn't find you anywhere near the plane so they knew they had to look further. Tai and Van were close to you as well so they shared Jackie and Shaunas need to find you but Van was angry with the best friends so she ignored them. they didn't get all that far from the plane. just a couple feet away there you were, bloody and unresponsive. you weren't screaming for help, you weren't even acknowledging that they were there.
the brunette felt tears brim in her eyes at the sight. her heart had previously been beating faster than ever but it only intensified when she had seen you. her hands immediately began to shake and her feet began to run toward you faster than she could process. Jackie and Taissa followed after her. Shauna fell to her knees beside you, her eyes first trained on your dazed state before they ran down your body to check for injuries. you were wearing jeans but there was a huge gash on your thigh that was bleeding uncontrollably to the point in which the piece of clothing was soaked in it. you had a cut on your right eyebrow and cheek but they looked like they'd just heal with a scar.
"y/n" Shauna said as she began to shake you, her voice was desperate and you could hear the way it cracked. you wanted to assure her that you were okay, or at least as okay as you could be but you couldn't open your mouth. suddenly you felt two other people near you and that's when you saw Tai and Jackie each sharing the same expression Shauna had. the brunette was the most distraught, tears full on streaming down her face at this point as she shook you. she wanted to get a reaction out of you, anything, other than your eyes moving.
"we need to get her back to the rest" Tai said looking at each girl. Jackie wiped away her tears and nodded before she grabbed Shaunas shoulder to try and snap her out of it.
"come on, Shauna" she said desperately. that seemed to be enough for the brunette to nod and wipe away her tears as best as she could.
"i've got her," Tai said. she was the tallest and possibly the strongest out of all of them. neither girl protested as Taissa grabbed you as carefully as she could before she slowly stood up fully. you let out a scream at the action, your leg and stomach bringing you more pain than you had ever experienced. somehow that made Shauna let out a silent sigh of relief, you were finally giving a reaction. that's all that mattered. you'd be okay, you had to be okay and she'd do anything to make sure of that.
the four of you reached the rest as fast as you could. Taissa was practically sprinting with you in her arms, there was so much blood gushing out of your injury and she needed to get you to Misty who was helping everyone out. she never expected that to happen, truthfully no one did. when you were finally there all of the other girls turned to see you, gasps escaped their lips at the sight.
Misty was quick to reach you, "put her down here" she said pointing at an empty space near Ben who was passed out. Taissa followed her instructions and slowly put you down onto the ground. your face scrunched in pain and you were biting your tongue to try and prevent any noises to come out of you. it hurt to talk.
"does someone have a knife? anything sharp?" she yelled loudly but no one moved. the blonde grabbed one of the pieces of clothing that they had been ripping into pieces and put it up to your cut before pressing hard. you couldn't control the loud scream that erupted from your throat. someone, you weren't sure who, bent down beside Misty and handed her something. you could finally lift your head now, it still hurt but the pain from your leg was far stronger. the only problem was that you were light headed, the edges of your vision were growing darker and darker. it was possibly the blood loss or maybe the concussion you were almost one hundred percent sure you had.
whatever was in Misty's hand was sharp and you could feel your jeans being cut off. there was talking, a lot of it and you could hear your name in some of the conversation but you couldn't focus on anything but all of the pain you were feeling. the breaking point was the stinging sensation you felt on your gash. then everything went black.
everyone thought that you had died. everyone including Shauna. while you were screaming in pain she was hugging herself with tears streaming down her face and soft sobs escaping her lips. when your eyes closed an immense panic washed over her. her body moved faster than her mind as she tried to grab onto you but Taissa was there to stop her. Misty was working on getting the cut to stop bleeding. she had ordered someone get her a belt which thankfully Lottie had and tied it just above the gash to prevent blood flow. once she was done she had reassured everyone that you were alive. you had just passed out from the blood loss and probably the pain.
it was dark by the time you had woken. the sky was dark, stars littered around with the moon shinning a shed of light on everyone below it. you missed the bright blue sky. it felt more comforting then the endless darkness around you. the pain was still there. you were still near Ben but not far enough so that you weren't uncomfortable. Misty was there as soon as you opened your eyes. she had told you to take some pills, you weren't sure what they were, all you knew was that you needed more of them. the pain had died down as soon as you had taken them and you didn't feel as alive as you did seconds ago.
Misty had told you about your injuries. you had bruised ribs which explained the pain in your stomach and a concussion. the bruise would heal on its own along with the concussion, she just wasn't sure one the exact time frame. the gash would take long to heal, without a way to stitch it there's no definite time frame. you wondered if it would have been easier if you had just died. wondered what would have happened if you had simply stayed buckled into your seat and not helped Van out. you'd probably be unharmed and sitting around the fire with the rest of the team almost as if you were camping.
most of all you wouldn't have Shauna glued to your side. she had been there from the moment your eyes opened. you were sure she had been there even before then. she didn't say a word. neither did you. none of you had anything to say.
you were cold. you wondered if that was how she felt too or if it was because of the state you were in. you wanted to tell her to leave you alone and go back with everyone else but you didn't. she'd probably ignore you anyway.
that first night you slept holding onto yourself. shivering. you were asleep when the flannel was thrown over your shivering body. you were asleep when Shauna held your hand softly and thanked god that you were alive.
joining the soccer team had never been part of your plan. you were pretty good at sports, sure, but you had never thought about actually joining any teams. you were on the track team and that was enough for you. but you were Jackie's best friend, since you were in kindergarten meaning you did almost everything together. when she joined the soccer team she practically begged you everyday to join with her. she had annoyed you into trying out. you were mildly surprised when you made the team. Jackie on the other hand was ecstatic. not only was Shauna on the team but you were too.
thus started your friendship with the rest of the girls. Shauna and you had been sort of friends before joining. Jackie and Shauna were joined at the hip throughout high school so you'd be around each other quite a lot. just not enough to the point in which you'd consider each other more than just your best friends, friend.
until your Junior year. there was a party that one of the guys on the football team was throwing. you had gone with the rest of your friends to get drunk and maybe find someone to makeout with. you weren't expecting much though, being a lesbian wasn't exactly common amongst the school. it was why you were closest to Tai and Van, they understood you better than anyone else could. that included Jackie. that night you had gotten far too intoxicated and ended up having to get a ride home from Shauna. you wanted to stay longer to hang out with the quarterback but Jackie knew you and she knew you'd regret it sober. she and Shauna were sober enough to help you into the car. she had dropped Jackie off first, like she always did then went to your house.
you didn't say anything throughout the whole ride. the two of you didn't exactly have anything to talk about. not because you had nothing in common but because there was always a sense of rivalry between the two of you. it wasn't easy, both of you being Jackie's best friend and although neither of you had said it out loud, you each wanted the other to step back. except you were drunk that night. so drunk that as soon as the car stopped you leaned over the console and pulled the brunette into a rough kiss. Shauna was shocked at first, her eyes wide and her mouth frozen as she processed it. you were kissing her? was she dreaming? was this even real? she had always though you were straight, she had seen you hanging out with all of the jocks so she figured you'd be into them. she was terribly wrong.
seconds later she kissed you back with as much force as you. her hands were clutching the console whilst yours were tangled in her hair. you'd wanted to take things further and she was well aware of that by the way you reached for her hand and began to move it toward your thighs. she had stopped you before you could get there. you were wasted and she wouldn't do that to you. at the time she wasn't sure if you were sure about even being with a girl so she instead helped you inside your house.
with a terrible hangover and the memories of the night before you had to hang out with Jackie the next day. you had already made plans a week ago and you felt bad for cancelling. it's not like she'd let you off without a reason and neither of you were ever good at lying to one another. so you tried your best to ignore Shauna that whole day. you were embarrassed. so fucking embarrassed that you had kissed a girl that you weren't even sure if she liked girls. what would you say? sorry? well, that probably sounded like a good idea. even though she kissed back you hadn't asked before hand and the last thing you'd ever want is to force anyone to do anything.
Shauna was doing the opposite. she had tried to catch your eye the whole time, even tried to get you alone but you made sure to always leave the room if Jackie did. by the end of the day she wasn't able to direct a single word toward you. until the moment you had to leave. your dad had said he'd pick you up but not for another two hours and Jeff was outside waiting for the both of you to leave. you had no choice but to accept Shaunas offer to drive you home.
the brunette was beautiful, you'd always been aware of that. from the moment you'd first met all you could focus on were her beautiful big brown eyes that could possibly let her get away with anything. at least if it was up to you. it wasn't just her eyes though, it was the way she always smelled like vanilla or the way you'd always catch her staring. at first you didn't think much of it, you were on a higher social class than her at school so you figured that was why. boy were you wrong. that had been proven to you when you were outside your home. unlike last night she had been the one to kiss you. her hands found the back of your neck and she had planted her soft addicting lips on yours.
that's how your relationship started. from then on everything changed. sometimes she'd pull you into the locker room to makeout before practice or sometimes she'd make you stay until everyone left, then she'd pull you down onto her lap and bring your lips into a hungry kiss. you never actually talked about what it meant, not only were you afraid of the answer but you also didn't want to tell Jackie. you weren't sure how she'd react. she could either be happy that both of her best friends were together or hate you for stealing Shauna from her. either way you felt it was easier to keep it between you and the brunette. well, Shauna you and Van and Taissa.
you had no one else to talk to other than them and besides, you knew they'd keep it a secret.
it was just kissing until a particular summer night. she had snuck into your room which had become routine for the both of you. sometimes she'd come through the sleepover and your parents always saw it as two friends having a sleepover but other times she'd sneak in through your window in the middle of the night because she missed your lips. the reality was that she missed you but she'd never admit that. that night your makeout session started to grow rougher and hungrier to the point in which you couldn't take it anymore. that was the first night you'd ever slept together.
it was amazing.
neither of you could get enough. simple makeout sessions turned into quickies in the locker room and celebration sex after games. you had become addicted to Shauna Shipman and you weren't ashamed. not one bit. you loved her. you'd known that since the first time you had sex but neither of you ever said it. in a way you both knew regardless of an actual verbal confirmation. maybe it was the way Shauna would always drop Jackie off first regardless on if she would request it so she could spend time with you. maybe it was the way her hand always landed on your thigh during those drives or how she'd let you rant about your day with a smile and listening ears. maybe it was the way she'd pick up a coffee for you every morning because you liked it or the way she would sometimes let you borrow her flannels because they smelled like her. maybe it was the way you're eyes always found hers first when you entered a room or the way you'd buy her small things that reminded you of her. maybe it was the way you'd watch her favorite movies even though you found them boring or the way you'd hold her when you slept because she liked being spooned. but most of all it was the way you'd both only let your walls down when you were alone with one another.
you never had to say the words because you both just knew.
until the day before you had to leave for nationals. you had both been so excited for winning, even celebrated accordingly once you were alone in your room. it was during the party the night before that everything changed. Shauna was screwing Jeff. what was supposed to be a fun night with your best friend and the girl you loved turned into you seeing her with your best friends boyfriend fucking in his car. you didn't want to ride with Jeff so you asked Lottie for a ride home instead. somehow you had seen the car from the road and asked Lottie to pull over in case they needed help. they didn't.
Shauna didn't sneak into your room that night like she had promised in the locker room when her lips were on yours and she had her hand down your pants. she had lied. she had lied and you wouldn't forgive her. you couldn't.
the brunette was surprised when you sat down near the back with Van and not beside Lottie who was closest to them. you didn't talk to her when arriving at the airport or even when you said hi to Jackie. at the time she figured you were just upset that she hadn't spent the night with you like she had promised. she thought about apologizing and doing all the things she knew you loved to earn your forgiveness once you landed.
none of those thoughts ever came to life.
three days later and everyone was trying to organize everything so they had enough food and water for as long as possible. you were sitting against some kind of cushion with your back against a tree as you stared at your leg deep in thought. it still hurt, just not as much considering Misty had been giving you some kind of pain pills. you had no idea where they came from or how she had them but you didn't care as long as you didn't have to feel all the pain in your body. Shauna hadn't left your side in those three days. she wouldn't talk much, neither would you. she'd mostly just give you food or water and check the cut to make sure it wasn't getting infected. she wanted to say something, her thoughts were practically being screamed at you but you didn't ask and she didn't speak.
the brunette had grabbed some food from the stash and brought it over to you. she moved it closer to you so you'd grab it but you shook your head. you weren't hungry. Shauna sighed, "you need to eat" she said a frustrated with you. she understood how you were feeling, not being able to walk or move without feeling excruciating pain was horrible but you were acting petty and she didn't like this side of you.
"im not hungry" you said. your voice was raspy from the little talking you had been doing and your throat was a bit dry from how long it had been since you had any water. by then you had gotten out of the jeans with Shaunas help and put a pair of shorts on to make it easier on your cut.
"y/n" Shauna sighed out. you didn't budge though and she knew there was only one way to make you listen. "you have to eat if you want to take the pills. Misty told you this yesterday" she said glancing at the blonde who was having the same problem with Ben. you finally gave in and grabbed the small piece of food.
Shauna was watching you intently as you ate when a sudden and frantic voice caught both of yours attention."guys!" Taissa said running toward the group, "guys, there's a lake. there's a lake" she said slightly out of breath. "i saw it from that hill" she said pointing in that direction. "it looks about four of five miles away."
Shauna stood up from her spot beside you to face Taissa. "do you think we could hike it?" she asked the brunette.
"it's pretty rocky, but yeah" Tai confirmed with an excited smile. the idea of finally getting the chance to rinse of and get clean water was enough to fill them with hope.
Jackie didn't seem to share the sentiment as she stood up from her spot, "uh, we, uh, we can't.. we can't just leave." she chuckled.
Tai looked at her a bit annoyed, "we've got two days of water, tops. and then what? just sit around and die?" she asked sarcastically.
"what if the rescue team comes?" Jackie rebutted. she had too much hope and you couldn't help but to chuckle at her words. she may be your best friend but even you knew how stupid that sounded. they weren't coming. it's time everyone accepted that.
"do you think they're taking their time on purpose?" Tai said and looked around the group. "if they knew where we were, they would be here already." she said her voice softening at the end of her sentence.
"you don't know that" Jackie responds.
Tai rolled her eyes before she turned toward the only adult with them. "what do you think, coach?" her words made everyone including you turn to look at the older man.
he shrugged, "i dont, i don't know." he shook his head, "i mean, you'd have to leave me behind, i guess, but whatever"
"we could make a stretcher" Taissa offered immediately earning a laugh from Jackie.
"oh, okay"
"seriously. if we take turns carrying it.."
"n-no" Jackie cut her off. "this-this is bullshit. i say no. okay? no way"
"let's put it to a vote" Taissa said. "all in favor of waiting here?" a couple girls beside Jackie raised their hand. you didnt have an opinion, truthfully either way would be just as painful for you. Shauna glanced at you motioning for you to vote but you ignored her and kept your eyes on your lap. "all in favor of the lake?" Taissa asked which seemed to get the most votes out of the two options. you sighed softly.
in the end everyone grabbed their things to go to the lake. Shauna wrote on the plane that everyone had gone to the lake whilst Van and Taissa helped you up from your spot. you didn't need a stretcher like coach and even if you did you weren't there was a way to have the teens carry two people. Shauna had offered to help but you quickly asked Van and Taissa if they could instead. it was hard to get into a rhythm, only being able to use one leg was harder than you thought. not to mention there were times you had to put your leg down because you were growing tired which caused a jolt of pain to run though it.
finding the lake was a lot harder than Taissa originally expected and at some point everyone was beginning to give up but Van had been the first person to see it. you weren't leaning on her anymore, instead Taissa and Shauna were helping you. at first you protested but Shauna wouldn't take no for an answer. you watched as Van ran toward the lake, taking her clothes off in the process. Taissa and Shauna felt the need to run too but they didn't, they were patient as you took it one step at a time.
when you were finally closer to the lake Tai and Shauna helped you sit down near the water. you watched as everyone splashed around, wishing you could be just as happy as they were. you felt annoying and bitter but you couldn't help it. it was as if you were useless and it pissed you off, instead of helping you were holding them back. not to mention the situation you were in with Shauna. you watched as the brunette was in the splashing Van and some of the girls with a smile on her face.
she looked beautiful. no surprise there. she always looked beautiful. no matter what. even when she woke up in the morning with messy hair or after practice when she was all sweaty. you always thought she looked breathtaking. you wished you could unlove her, wished there was a way to erase all the memories you shared so you wouldn't feel the pain in your chest. every time you thought about how she was using you, the way she was fucking someone else when she promised she wasn't. you felt stupid for ever believing her.
the brunette met your eye with a gentle smile. you didn't return it. she looked around before getting out of the water and approached you. "do you want to get in?" she asked softly. you didn't look up at her. "it could help" she said referring to the cut. she was right, it could help clean it and prevent an infection but you couldn't look at her. every time you did it was as if there was a knife through your heart and you couldn't take it.
"i'm fine" you said curtly, your eyes still not meeting hers. if you would've looked you would've seen the hurt flash through her eyes and the way her eyes began to tear up. she wasn't used to this. she was used to the warm and soft version of you, the you that would kiss her softly and tell her she was beautiful. the you that would hug her and tickle her to get a laugh out of her when she was having a bad day, the you that always made sure she felt loved and seen. she had never felt more invisible than in that moment. not even when she felt like she was in Jackie's shadow. being ignored by you was the most painful thing she'd ever endured.
Shauna looked around to see if anyone had heard only to be met with Jackie's confused gaze. she swallowed thickly and walked back to the water in an effort to distract herself from the pain in her chest.
later that same day they found a cabin. it was a miracle, it had a lot of things they needed but most of all it was a place they could be safe in. you spent most of your time inside the cabin or on the porch. it had been a couple of days since the lake and things were getting a bit better. Nat and Travis had been the only two that knew how to use a gun so they were officially the ones to go hunting. they ended up finding a wolf pretty quickly which everyone was thankful for considering how hungry everyone was. they had run out of food a couple days ago.
you were inside the cabin whilst everyone else was eating outside. you were too tired to move and all you wanted was to eat and go to sleep. your concussion had healed along with the bruises on you stomach, it was still sore but you could sit up without screaming in pain. your leg was okay, it still wasn't completely healed but Ben had made you a single crutch after he made his own so you didn't have to rely on others to move around.
the door opened but you didn't care to see who it was, you already knew it was Shauna. she was still doing everything for you, making sure you were okay and simply not leaving your side unless she had to. it was annoying. you couldn't even think with her near you at all times. the brunette bent down to your level with a plate of food in her hand. she put it on the floor in front of you and sat down fully as she watched you grab the plate and begin to eat.
she couldn't take it anymore, she couldn't take you ignoring her and icing her out completely. you weren't like this, never had she seen you so angry and resentful and she didn't think what she had done was as bad to get this reaction out of you. so she did what she thought was best.
"im sorry," she said softly. you froze at her words, did she know that you knew? you didn't think there was a way unless she had also seen you that night but you didn't think so. she seemed far too distracted to notice anyone else near. "i should've told you that i couldn't make it that night" she continued. her words made you laugh. the brunette seemed surprised by your reaction and truthfully it made her feel embarrassed.
"you seriously think i'm mad that you ditched me that night?" you asked with a laugh. you were far too amused by this. Shaunas eyes shifted down to her lap. she didn't respond to you, not knowing what else to say.
your condescending tone stuck with her for the rest of the week. she didn't understand what else she could've done to make you so upset. what could she have done to make you so cold and dry? she didn't understand it. after that talk she tried her best to give you space. she still helped you and took care of you as much as you allowed but she wasn't glued to your side like usual. she couldn't take the look of annoyance you'd have every single time she was near.
the two of you were at the lake washing clothes. Jackie was supposed to be there with the both of you but like she had been doing a lot lately, she was late. she didn't like the fact that she had to do chores like the rest of you and she made all types of excuses so she didn't have to help out. at first it annoyed you, specifically because you were always assigned with Shauna and her and considering Jackie never came around, you were left alone with the brunette.
you were standing near the brunette as you washed the clothes, you were slightly bent because of your leg. it felt good to be in the water, it made you feel clean. out of the corner of your eye you could see the brunette doing the same thing you were. she was quiet. you'd noticed that she wasn't as clingy as she had been before after the conversation you had in the cabin. she seemed distant and every time you'd catch her looking at you she would look away blinking rapidly and you knew it was her trying to prevent her tears from falling.
you felt like you had been punishing her enough, you needed to tell her the truth. you didn't owe her it but you couldn't go another day without knowing why. why she didn't have enough with you, why she had to sleep with Jackie's boyfriend and best friend. why she had to be so fucking selfish.
the sound of you clearing your throat made Shauna glance at you. with a deep sigh you opened your mouth to speak, "i saw you" you said softly. Shauna froze, her brows furrowed as she tries to process what you just said. you saw her? what did that mean? you sensed her confusion and decided to elaborate. "with Jeff. the night night before we came" you said.
it felt as if she had punched in the gut. the air in her lungs had been knocked out of her and the color had been drained from her face. "i-.." she said but the words had died in her throat. what could she say? what could possibly be said to make things better?
you shook your head softly, "why?" you asked your voice breaking slightly and your bottom lip began to quiver. you hadn't cried since the night you found out and it felt as if all the emotions that had been bottomed up were going to spill out of you. Shaunas heart rate quickened at the sight of you crying, endless tears falling down your face.
the brunette took a step closer to you, "please," she whispered, "i'm sorry" what else could be said but i'm sorry? what else could be said but how fucking sorry she was for breaking your heart, for hurting you. even though neither of you had ever said it, you were in love. you both knew it. it might've been silent but you both knew so she knew how much you were probably hurting and it was because of her. because she fell into temptation stupidly.
a scoff left your lips at her words, "no" you shook your head. "i want an answer. i want to know why" you said your breathing was starting to grow labored and it truthfully felt as if the oxygen wasn't reaching your lungs.
Shauna bit her lip as she cried. "i don't know" she whispered truthfully. the most fucked up part was that she probably didn't know why, probably only did it because she was a teenage girl who made mistakes and wanted everything her best friend had.
"bullshit" you said shaking your head. "having Jeff wasn't enough? you had to have me too?" you said bitterly. Shauna shook her head quickly and took more steps toward you until she was close enough to reach out and touch you.
"please y/n. it's not like that" she said shaking her head rapidly.
"fuck that. it is like that. it's exactly like that. did you want to be her so bad that you had to have her boyfriend and best friend? are you that fucking selfish?" you said raising your voice. you didn't seem to care that Jackie could be near and could be hearing everything you were saying. it didn't matter. not then. not when all you could feel was a blinding rage and pain that was making it impossible for you to breathe. for you to live.
Shauna felt helpless. there was nothing she could do to make the pain go away, it didn't matter how desperately she wanted to.
"is that why you kissed me back?" you asked, "why you fucked me again and again? why you couldn't say no because you finally had everything she did?" Shauna shook her head at your words. she grabbed your hands and squeezed them tightly, desperate to convey how sorry she was. you wanted to pull away but you didn't because you couldn't help but think that it would probably be the last time you allow her to get this close.
"of course not. i wanted you. it had nothing do with her, not when it was with you. i just wanted to be with you" she said, tears still full on streaming down her face. "please believe me" she begged.
"no" you said shaking your head, "fuck you Shauna" you practically spat and finally snatched your hands away from her hold. "fuck you for making me feel like we had something when all you cared about was yourself"
"please" Shauna begged once more, her brown eyes making you want to forgive her, made you want to hug her and tell her all would be okay but it wouldn't. you couldn't lie to her or yourself. not like that. you were slipping away and she could feel it, she could feel you slipping from her fingertips and she couldn't take it. it led to her confessing the words she had been wanting to say months ago. "i love you" she whispered, her eyes searching yours.
everything stopped in that moment. your heart, your breathing, the world. it all stopped for that one second as those words left her lips. she loved you.
she loved you.
she loved you and yet she still broke your heart so how could that ever really be love? you knew love was painful but it shouldn't be this painful. it shouldn't hurt this much. being loved shouldn't hurt like this.
"i ended things with Jeff as soon as things started between us but that night.. i just - i dont know why came over me but it was a mistake and i regretted it as soon as it happened. just please," she begged once more. she wasn't sure what she was even begging for any more. maybe your forgiveness or maybe your love. either way it didn't make a difference.
she was pregnant. Shauna was pregnant with Jeff's baby. you had overheard her and Taissa talking one night, everyone else was asleep and truthfully you were only awake because you couldn't shake off the last conversation you had with the brunette. you hadn't spoken since that day.
hearing her say that she was pregnant seemed to change everything. she would be having a baby with her best friends boyfriend. you wondered if she would get with Jeff, wondered if Jackie would break up with him or if she loved him enough to stay. did you love her enough to forgive her? of course you did. it didn't matter how hurt you were, all you could think about since that day was how much you missed her and how much you believed everything she said.
what if this was your last chance to tell her you wanted to work things out? what if you ending things completely resulted in her getting with Jeff. you couldn't allow that. you wouldn't. you loved Shauna and you wouldn't give her up. not like this. maybe finding out she would be having a baby was your wake up call. you weren't sure. the only thing you were one hundred percent sure of was the fact that you would do anything to make her happy. you would be a part of the baby's life if it meant you could be a part of Shaunas.
leaves crunched under your footsteps. everything had healed now. you didn't have to use a crutch when you walked although you did still had a limp. you weren't sure how long it would last but you hoped it wouldn't be forever. you could see Shauna from where you were. she was sitting near the lake with her diary in her lap as she wrote. you'd always known that she wrote in her diary quite frequently, you found it cute when you first found out. you always wondered if she ever wrote about you.
the brunette was so focused on her book that she hadn't heard you approaching her. your pace was slow, the limp not exactly helping you. it wasn't until you were five steps away that she finally looked in your direction, her eyes widening slightly in surprise. she looked speechless and you couldn't blame her. you were sure she thought you wouldn't talk to her again.
you took your time sitting down but Shauna was quick to help out of reflex. she thought you would push her hand away or ignore her but to her surprise you took her hand and shot her a thankful smile. "thanks." you said once you were finally sitting down. Shauna nodded in acknowledgment.
there was a silence between you that made Shauna nervous. were you going to tell her that it was officially over? that you wanted nothing do with her? if so, she could only hope that you'd make it quick so she could mourn her broken heart alone.
you cleared your throat as you looked at the water in front of you. Shauna looked at you out of the corner of her eye but didn't face you. afraid of what was next. there was so many ways you could start the conversation. tell her that you simply knew or that you'd overheard her and Tai talking. maybe you could even ask if there was something she wanted to tel you but that was just mean. you wouldn't make her tell you.
so you did what you thought was best. "you're pregnant" you said still looking out in front of you. Shaunas head snapped in your direction as she heard those words. her eyes immediately began to water and her heart was pulsing in her chest. you figured it was time you finally turn to look at her and as you did your heart broke. she looked terrified and that was the last thing you wanted. "hey," you whispered and brought your thumb up to her cheek to wipe the tears away. "it's okay" you reassured her. "it's okay" you repeated in hopes that she would stop crying.
"im sorry" Shauna cried but you shook your head.
"don't be sorry" you whispered and pulled her into a tight hug. she threw her arms around you and hugged you tightly as she nuzzled her face in the crook of your neck. she missed you so much but she hadn't realized just how much until then. until she finally felt your arms around her for the first time in weeks. "i love you, Shauna" you confessed against the crown of her neck as you kissed it softly.
the brunette pulled away from you instantly, her doe eyes looking at you in disbelief. she thought she'd never hear those words from you. not after your fight. you smiled gently at her and reached for her hands. "i'll be there for you and the baby. if that's what you want. even if it's just as your friend" you said softly.
Shauna matched your smile, her hands cupping your face lovingly before she leaned in to kiss you. her lips were soft against yours. you missed this so fucking much. you never wanted to let go of her. not again.
once you pulled away she placed her forehead against yours. "i love you too"

i think we can all agree any well adjusted individual coming out of the experience of cannibalising your highschool soccer team captain and fellow team mates would have a weird almost hesitant relationship with meat when entering adulthood. lottie turns vegan tai is vegetarian nat is put off at the idea of jerky then theres my silly goofy girls misty and shauna who have an outlook on meat that is so interesting, rivalling an attitude where they are almost,...more connected to consuming meat. shauna skins a rabbit from her suburban backyard and cooks it into a stew. misty does not even consider eating smoked jerky in front of nat could be insensitive. i love these women so much

Heart Stealer – Shauna Shipman
Tumblr media
Pairing: shauna shipman x fem!reader
Summary: In which Shauna Shipman steals not only your favorite pen during class, but your heart too.
Word count: 3,4k.
Content: no crash!AU, cursing, suggestive, fluff, mutual pining, making out, weird teenagers who don’t know how to communicate, everyone hating on jeff (as they should).
A/N: This is basically 3,4k words of reader simping over Shauna.
English is not my first language.
You're not sure when exactly you started noticing her, like really noticing her, but now you can't stop. It's like there's a part of your brain dedicated to cataloging every little detail about Shauna Shipman that you can find.
Maybe it was that time in english class when she turned to the side and shyly asked you to borrow a pen without looking in your eyes. Until then, you had never paid enough attention to your surroundings to know that she always sat next to you.
Anyway, you give her your favorite blue pen without giving it much thought, but when class is over Shauna just puts her own things away and leaves without giving you a second glance.
A week passes and it's as if she hasn't spoken to you; Shauna doesn't give your pen back, which is a bit rude, but you buy a new one – it's not the same, that pen was really good – and start paying a little more attention to her after that.
‘Cause damn, she's a really pretty pen thief.
You don't quite understand why she keeps it, she doesn't use it; That's one of the first things you notice, that she doesn't write with blue ink, just basic black.
Whatever, you won't bother her for that, admiring the way her hair falls over her shoulders during class is much more worth it.
That's probably when it was then, because after that you start to notice her everywhere you didn't before, red flannels catching your eye in the hallways. You find yourself learning things without even realizing it, recording everything you come to adore about Shauna Shipman; the way she wrinkles her nose when she doesn't understand a question on the test, how she always keeps her voice low when talking to people or how she's the first to raise her hand to answer what the english teacher asks in class just because she wants to show that she knows.
You swear you're not a stalker at all. The fact that she probably doesn't even know about your existence isn’t relevant. Are you a little obsessed, though? Yes, definitely.
It was just a silly crush then, that is, until your cousin Jeff started dating the captain of the football team, Jackie Taylor.
Jackie is good, great in fact; too good for Jeff who could be extremely clueless most of the time, but that doesn't matter, they are together and everyone at school knows that wherever Jackie Taylor goes Shauna Shipman is right behind, you can't have one without the other. So you start hanging out with both of them by extension, because as much as an idiot Jeff is, he manages to be a pretty bearable cousin – most of the time –, as well as being your ride home.
The four of you end up forming a little group with a really weird dynamic that works to a certain extent; with Jackie-Shauna being Jackie-Shauna, you and Jeff annoying each other every chance you get, Jeff and Shauna ignoring each other's existence, Jackie being really sweet to you – not really a change since she's your lab partner since the beginning of the year – and you and Shauna hardly ever speaking, but still side by side so you don’t third wheel whenever Jeff and Jackie go out.
That last part doesn't work well as much as the rest, not for you, at least.
You all end up hanging out a lot, which means Shauna is now everywhere, not just in the hallways or the class you share, she's really everywhere and boy, you are fucked.
You go with Jeff to the football games so he can cheer on Jackie – it sucks having to rely on the ride – and Shauna, of course, is there. She's the fastest of the Yellowjackets, you can tell, because your eyes can't stop searching the field for a second when you're in the stands. She is the fastest and is not afraid to face when someone from the other team says or does something stupid during the game, her face red and sweaty from the activity.
One day Shauna curses the game referee who dares to give her a red card for punching – and breaking – the nose of a girl who made fun of Jackie for committing a foul during the second half. She manages to do this without screaming at any point, which ends up being the thing that surprises you the most.
She doesn't look guilty at all as she puffs out her chest and lifts her chin at the girl with the bloody nose and makes her way back to the locker room; all you can do is stare at the whole thing with your jaw dropped because no one should have the ability to look that good after beating someone like that.
Shauna must feel your stupefied gaze on her, because when she turns around, her brow is furrowed and her big brown eyes stare at you with a mix of irritation and confusion: “And what are you looking at?” she asks.
You immediately steps back, because Shauna Shipman may be hot, but she's also scary as fuck. “N-nothing!”
If she didn't think you were weird before, she certainly does now.
You were right about that, now Shauna is the one staring at you. She stares a lot, all the time. You think she doesn't care that you know that, but she looks away whenever you look back at her anyway. It's strange and makes you nervous in a somewhat humiliating way, because she remains quiet and with a serious expression staring into your head even when you're just at school simply talking to some friends she doesn't know.
What ends up being embarrassing is how you're learning that you like her being so shameless like this. It's one more thing to learn about her. Your brain simply registers automatically: ‘Things to adore about Shauna Shipman’; She’s not shy about tackling whatever interests her – and look, it’s you! –, until they face her back, then she becomes shy as if she was actually being subtle; she’s good at fighting but avoids confrontation; she has an opinion on absolutely everything but generally lets people decide for her. You want to know more, more and more.
You work part-time at a pet store after school and Jeff usually leaves you there when he’s not busy, accustomed to your commute. On the days he can't, however, he tells you and you go walking, it's not that far.
Now, one day he just doesn't tell you that he won't be able to take you and you're left waiting for him like a fool on the curb in the school parking lot, damn it, Jeff.
Until Shauna's voice takes you out of your inner despair.
"Do you want a ride?"
When you lift your head there she is, her arm resting on the open car window, a dark red flannel folded up to her elbow and oh my god.
Oh, I want more than a ride, you think.
“Yeah,” you say and give her a small smile as you approach the car, “That would be good.”
She nods in acknowledgment without meeting your eyes as she reaches over to open the passenger door for you. That's another thing you noticed: Shauna doesn't tend to keep much eye contact and in your case she seems to avoid it completely.
You don't bother trying to fill the silence, there's not much to talk about when Jackie isn't around, Shauna doesn't seem to like it when you talk to her, so you don't expect this time to be any different.
But it is.
“Want to pick a song?”
“Huh?” You blink.
“A song,” She repeats, pointing with her chin to the glove compartment without taking her eyes off the road for even a minute – Shauna has always been a responsible driver.
Occurs to you why it's different this time. It's not the first time Jeff has left you in the parking lot, that idiot, but it's the first time Shauna has come to your rescue, even though she's seen you in this situation before. Now she's giving you a ride and trying to talk to you.
Which means, holy shit, Shauna Shipman is talking to you because she wants to.
"Of course!” You rush to open the glove compartment to check the small selection of CDs in there, not giving much thought when Shauna takes the exact route to your job without even asking.
You choose one and put it on the radio, leaning back in your seat waiting for the first song starts, then Shauna straightens up in her seat and says to you smugly:
“Oh, you probably don’t know this band, they’re very underground, but I really like it.” She nods with a smile.
An amused snort escapes your chest, “Queen's underground for you?”, you tease with a raised eyebrow.
Shauna lets out an outraged squeal and tightens her grip on the steering wheel: “They were!” she insists, “At least until they became trendy.”
"Right." You laugh because you're not going to upset her when she has the most adorable pout on her face.
You spend the short trip listening to the most unknown Queen songs that Shauna's CD brings together – these are the good ones! – and for what seems like the first time, you and her actually talk and the happiness you feel is greater than you could have imagined. When the road comes to an end, Shauna seems extremely disappointed at having to leave you and you try not to think too much about what that means.
This small event seems to turn a key in your relationship and you and Shauna seem to get closer all of a sudden, not that you're complaining.
She takes on the responsibility of being your personal chauffeur after school, taking you from one place to another with no hesitation as if it had always been that way.
“What if that asshole forgets you again?” She asks with those sad eyes staring at you – that's another change, now she looks you in the eye! Which ends up not being so good when it comes to denying her things.
“Shauna, that asshole is my cousin.” You scold weakly.
"So?"
Well, you can't question that.
You show up to her training when you don't have to work and you don't miss the way she seems to brag about it to her teammates, which only makes you show up more and more, even though you know nothing about football; you study together in the library, even if you only share one class; you, her and Jackie walk together between classes in the hallways and even stand side by side waiting to leave when Jackie disappears with Jeff at some stupid party.
You learn new things about Shauna every day and reading her is better than any other book you've ever tried. At some point, in your head, 'Things to Adore About Shauna Shipman' becomes 'Things to Love About Shauna Shipman' and it feels right.
She likes practically any food that contains meat and puts barbecue sauce on absolutely everything, leaving you horrified when she does this to a steak that is bleeding from being so rare when you have lunch together; She likes the warm, expensive beer that Lottie Matthews serves at her parties, she doesn't like getting drunk, she likes the taste, Shauna is weird like that and you're even weirder for finding it endearing. Sometimes, when you're outside smoking with Natalie and her sad emo friend, Kevyn Tan, Shauna comes over with a cup of beer in her hand – just one, she insists, because she's going to drive later – and sits down next to you quietly with one hand casually placed on your thigh while enjoying the drink; she lets Jackie dress her for these same parties, but she always chooses a piece of clothing that stands out, usually one of her flannels, she seems to have thousands of them; Shauna likes to read, but she loves classics, 'real books' as she calls them, with long words and old vocabulary, the second you pay attention she talks about them for hours and hours. You learn to like it too and Shauna seems to completely melt when you're the one who makes a Virginia Woolf or Emily Brontë reference when you talk.
One day, the team practice happens earlier and Shauna apologizes profusely for not being able to leave you at work, you dismiss her worries with a quick hug before leaving – not noticing the way she freezes in her place – and Jeff quickly agrees to take you there, he won't admit he missed you, but you know he did.
Later, the bell on the store's door signals someone's entry and when you turn from your spot at the counter, Shauna is there.
You tend to serve some Yellowjackets quite often, mainly Misty Quigley buying cat food; sometimes Van and Tai buying food for the abandoned dogs near the trailer park, Mari buying a hamster every two weeks – you have no idea what she does to make them all die or run away so quickly –, Nat showing up simply to hangout and smoke from time to time. You get along relatively well with all of them, but Shauna had never appeared until now.
She's still in her blue and yellow uniform, hair pulled into a ponytail and face softly red. The sight makes your throat dry.
Shauna looks a little like a lost puppy when she comes up to you at the counter.
“Hey,” she mumbles.
“Hey,” you reply, a smile playing on your lips. And then, just because you can't resist: “Did you run here after practice just to see me?”
Shauna seems like a deer caught in the headlights, “No!” She denies it, as if she hadn't been caught doing just that, "I just realized I leave you here all the time and I've never been in the store before."
You don't say anything and she simply shrugs innocently before starting to circle the place and you watch her with an amused snort.
She's not a pet person, you might say, but she apparently finds a fascination in staring at the colorful fishes in the aquariums when you come from behind the counter to restock and organize missing items on nearby shelves.
It's a small store and it's a pretty slow day with just you and another employee working in the back, so you and Shauna get into a relaxed mood spending time together when she decides she's going to stay until your shift ends without saying anything.
The company is good. At some point you jokingly say that since Shauna is here she could help you move the food packets because they are too heavy for you and she just goes there and does it. The way she lifts a bunch at once makes your breath hitch and you want to run your hands over her flexed biceps and you notice how Shauna hides a smile, as if she knows.
After that it's like there's a very thin line waiting to be crossed between you. Maybe it's always been there and you never noticed.
There are things about Shauna, things you like to think she says or does only to you, that your brain catalogs more than others, especially in moments when you're alone, like now.
Things to love about Shauna Shipman, you think; the way she subtly gasps when you need to rest your hand on her waist to pass through the store's narrow aisles; the fake annoyed look she gives you when you say something so stupid you just know she's pretending not to like it; the way she ends up snoring with laughter and scaring a customer you were serving after something you said and then she refuses to talk to you for the next fifteen minutes – the long that she can – giving you a dirty look because It's your fault, dammit.
But Shauna doesn't leave, no matter how angry she claims to be with you.
Things to love about Shauna Shipman, you think again, when your shift is over and she simply grabs your hand and leads you to her car, stating, "Let's go get ice cream."
She hates her middle name as much as she hates cute nicknames – you think it's just because she doesn't have one – and she won't tell you what it is because she doesn't want you to use it on her one day; her favorite color is blue, dark blue, but she usually wears shades of red because she says the football uniform is enough; she marks her books with lots of post-it notes of different colors, to remember her favorite chapters, phrases and quotes and revisits them almost daily; she keeps a hand on you whenever you're near, on your shoulder, your hip, your thigh. One day you left her reach when she had an arm around you at a party to get more drinks and when you came back she asked what she had done wrong, looking at you with those sad brown eyes.
Shauna takes you out for ice cream even though it’s already dark, an anxious air hovering between you. She grabs your favorite flavor without you having to tell her which one it is and you sit on the hood of her car, shoulders brushing together.
“You…” Shauna starts hesitantly, eating the bitterest chocolate ice cream she could find, “Do you wanna come to my house?”
You've been to Shauna's house before, but only with Jackie and Jeff. Never alone. Is different. You both know it's different.
"Yes." You say, hoping you don’t sound as desperate as you are, “I’d really like that.”
The smile she gives you makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
You only have time to unbuckle your seatbelt when Shauna parks in front of the house before she's on top of you watching you with dark eyes.
“Are you just going to stand there and watch me?” You scoff with more confidence than you actually have, your hands finding her waist.
Shauna looks completely outraged and in a second her lips meet yours without permission just because she knows she doesn't have to ask.
Her mouth is still cold and slick against yours from the ice cream, but her entire body is hot as dough ready to be molded in your hands. She wraps her arms around your neck, hands pulling your hair tightly and you feel her smile against your lips when she hears your low moan.
“Is that enough action for you?” Shauna asks mockingly, breathing fast, her practice uniform clinging to her body.
“Hm-hm,” you deny, a drunken, passionate smile painting your face, “Not as much as I’d like.”
Shauna looks like she wants to reply to what you've said, but then you're leaning in again, lips meeting hers with more urgency, tongue pleading for passage at the seam of her mouth, and it's all heat and electricity as she pulls you against her body. Your hands separate her t-shirt from the uniform shorts quickly and slide underneath it, short nails scraping the happy trail softly across her toned stomach and Shauna whines.
You can't help but break the kiss, Shauna follows your lips with a needy expression.
"What?" She asks, frustration bordering on her voice.
You shake your head and bite your bottom lip, “It’s really good,” you say. Shauna arches an eyebrow. "It's perfect. Touching you– it’s perfect.”
The way her hips thrust into yours and her face turned completely red tells you that she liked what you said a little too much.
And then Shauna is opening the car door, hurriedly sliding out and pulling you with her, mumbling an anxious “let’s go” as you stumble your way into the house.
You laugh when she fumbles with the key in the lock and she gives you an annoyed look, cutting off your laughter when the door opens and she presses you against it, pupils completely dilated, hands shaking to touch you.
It occurs to you then that maybe Shauna was just as obsessed with you as you were with her.
She looks at you, big brown eyes needy and asking and you don't hesitate to kiss her again and it's all heat and skin and it's right.
Another thing to love about Shauna Shipman: the way she gasps in surprise and pleasure when you turn her around and press her against the door.

𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒍𝒆𝒔; shauna shipman x fem!reader
Summary: in which shauna believes y/n forget her birthday.
Warnings: fluff, short.
Note: English is not my first language.
Tumblr media
Shauna sighed for the second time in a row, her eyes following her go out of the same room.
"What is getting you so annoyed?" Natalie Scatorccio asks with a smirk.
"Nothing." Shauna grumbles, saving her clothes in her gym bag, putting it on her shoulder.
"I think I have an idea..." Lottie comments behind Shauna, in her locker.
Shauna turns to glare at her, seeing how the brunette doesn't bother for it and smirk, winking at Natalie when she laughs.
"You two are like kids." The Shipman girl interjects, ignoring them when they start to call for her.
"Birthday girl, wait for me!" Jackie's voice sounded muffled when Shauna went out of the changing room. However the brunette stopped a few centimeters waiting for her friend, her brown eyes scanning the empty halls. But her jaw clenched when spotted Y/N with balloons in a hand, laughing to something Jeff Sadecki told her while they walked by the parking lot. Shauna's blood boiled by this. "We can go." Shauna jumps a little when Jackie approaches next to her.
Thankfully Jackie didn't notice anything about her mood and started to rant about her birthday party that Saturday. Shauna told her a few times that she is good without celebrating it with a party, only with them is enough for her, but Jackie is excited by it and Shauna doesn't have the heart to ruin her wishes.
She dropped Jackie in her house and went to hers, biting her bottom lip the moment she saw the car parked in front of her house. Shauna parked her car in the garage, closing the door with a loud slam and doing the same when she grabbed her gym bag, her doe eyes fuming with fury.
"You are here! Your mother needed to go out, so we had the house for ourselves." Y/N comments with a cheeky smile, coming out from the kitchen.
The only answer she obtained was a huff by Shauna while she dropped her gym bag and sat down on the couch, putting a leg in the table in front of her while she crossed her arms around her chest.
Y/N frowns confused. She let the dish cloth in the kitchen and walked towards the couch, remaining next to it and studying Shauna. "Are you okay?"
Shauna rolls her eyes, giving Y/N a funny look. "I don't know, Y/N. I'm fine?" She asks rhetorically, her brown eyes now on Y/N.
"Okay... What happened?" Y/N press, knowing when Shauna is in that mood, she needed to press the brunette until she finally tell her the problem. It would cost a lot of questions by Y/N and lot of dodge by her part.
Surprisingly, this time Shauna told her what happened. "I saw you with Jeff earlier, laughing and with balloons," she explains, making emphasis with both hands, shrinking her eyes. "what the hell do you want balloons for? And it's my birthday too. Thank you for remembering it, girlfriend." Shauna scoffed, rolling her eyes and advertising them to the fireplace.
Shauna felt very hurt at this point. The day is passing, and Y/N didn't say anything about it. Everyone she knew wished her happy birthday, in some occasions with Y/N being present, but nothing.
The other girl softened her features, guilty on her eyes. She knew that Shauna would be mad at her for pretending that she didn't remember her birthday, but Y/N has an excuse for it.
"Go to your bedroom." It's all Y/N says, remaining on her spot.
Shauna looks at her with incredulous eyes. "Really? It's all you said?" Shauna muttered, but with a frustrated sigh stand up when Y/N insist. She goes upstairs, walking to her bedroom and opening the door. Her breath stuck in her lungs, not believing what she was seeing. It's... cliché? Nevertheless, she loves it. Y/N remembers her birthday after all.
"Happy birthday big baby." Y/N whispered on her ear, wrapping her arms around her waist from behind and leaning her head on her shoulder.
The balloons she saw before are in her bedroom, the number 19 showing next to it. Led lights decorate part of the wall where her bed is, and a perfectly wrapped gift with a blue dark paper reposing on the bed.
"It's not like I have in my mind... It's very tasteless, but I tried." Y/N comments, putting herself next to her and shrugging her shoulders while she scanned what she planned.
However Shauna loves it, she has the right that it's tasteless, but the details are what it counts. She turns to gaze at her with the most love written on her eyes, lacing her fingers with hers and her cheeks warm. "I love it." She murmurs, leaning towards her and kissing her cheek.
"Go to open your gift." Y/N suggest, balancing their hands softly.
Shauna walked towards her bed still with their hands intertwined and letting go only when she grabbed the gift, sitting on the bed and giving Y/N a shy smile. She carefully unwrapped it, gasping astonished when saw what it was.
"Y/N... This is amazing. I c-can't accept it." Shauna stammered, grabbing carefully the object inside of it.
"Don't be silly. I know you want it for a long time, you deserve it, Shaunie." Y/N bent down and kiss her exposed forearm, since Shauna still are on her training clothes.
"This is too much...," The brunette was so surprised that she didn't reprimand her for calling like that. "It's expensive, I can't." She stubbornly said, putting it back into the box and pushing it to Y/N.
"Shauna Shipman, I order you to accept this camera. It's a gift, take it." Y/N pushed the box to their hands again.
Shauna put the box next to her carefully, turning her gaze back to Y/N she grabbed her collar with a hand and press their lips together, for the first time that day.
"Thank you." Shauna muttered on her mouth, pushing Y/N towards hers to make her sit down on her lap, her other hand on cheek. "We can take advantage of the fact that we are alone..." The brunette gives her a chaste kiss and trailed kisses from her chin to her neck, biting her pulse point and passing her tongue later when heard Y/N hissed by it.
"I made a c-cake." Y/N breath out, her nails pounding on her shoulders.
Shauna raised her head, smashing their lips in a hungry kiss. Her tongue meets hers, making her slip a grunt. "We," kiss. "can," kiss. "eat it," a long kiss. "eat later." She pinned Y/N on her bed and putting herself between her legs, her mouth coming back to her neck and giving wet kisses there.
"S-Shauna..." Y/N calls her in vain, knowing she can't stop her. And didn't she want to stop.
•••
"SHAUNA! WE ARE IN HOME." Her mother called.
The yellowjacket pulled on the shirt she was wearing before, brushing her messy hair while she looks Y/N give her a told you look.
"COMING." Shauna said back, going to the window to ventilate her bedroom. "See you now?" She whispered when her girlfriend approached her at the door.
"Like every night." Y/N hummed, grabbing her backpack and pecking her lips, smiling when Shauna held her waist in a firm grip, but the kiss is sweet.
Shauna bit her lip when they broke the kiss, admiring Y/N and then, intertwining their hands they got out of the bedroom and stepping downstairs, letting out their hands intertwined before her mother could catch them.
"See you tomorrow, Shaunie. And happy birthday." Y/N teases her when Shauna opened the door for her. She giggled when her girlfriend gave her a pointed look. "Bye, Mrs Shipman!" She calls, waving with a hand when Shauna's mother says goodbye to her.
Shauna rolled her eyes and closed the door with a smile. She went to the kitchen to take some water before she went to take a shower. Opening the fridge, the same smile comes back to her face when she thinks about Y/N. The cake Y/N made makes her let out a quiet laugh, clearly influenced by her friend Van for the choice, however she loves it and make a mental note to take a piece of cake after dinner.

Possession- shauna shipman x reader
Word count: 2.5K
Warnings- SMUT, fingering, ass grinding, degration, dumbification if u squint, spanking, shauna being a possessive mess
You and Jackie had been best friends from birth your parents being best friends you were born to be best friends only needing eachother. Well until Jackie introduced you to Shauna shipman.
You and Shauna had never been close even though the three of you were attached at the hip the only thing linking the two of you was Jackie and you were okay with that. Yes Shauna was the prettiest girl you had ever seen, yes her smile made butterflies erupt in your stomach and yes maybe when she so much as brushed past you your cheeks were painted red. But did you want to be closer with her in a different way you were with Jackie no of course not.
Jackie’s bedroom held a lot of memories having spent the majority of your childhood in there whether it was learning how to do makeup from YouTube tutorials, consoling jackie after her numerous break ups with Jeff and that time you gave yourself a concussion after walking in on Shauna changing and spinning around so fast you hit your head on one of Jackie’s trophy covered shelves which resulted in a trip to the hospital an ugly bump and a lecture from Jackie about how it’s normal for friends to watch each other change. But still Jackie’s house was the go to hangout spot for your little trio.
So that’s how you found yourself stood in Jackie’s en-suite bathroom changing for Jeff’s back to school party. At first you planned to just wear jeans and a nice top but naturally Jackie had insisted you wear something a bit more revealing or in her words a “sex dress”. Jackie had been obsessed with finding you and Shauna boyfriends since the beginning of time and frankly it was getting old as neither you or Shauna wanted to cozy up with Randy Walsh as Jackie had suggested so many times. But still here you stood wearing a dress so tight it showed every curve on your body and as you looked at yourself in the mirror you couldn’t help but feel self conscious that was until you heard Jackie’s voice shouting from the bedroom
“Y/N hurry the fuck up” you quickly smoothed over your dress and exited the bathroom and were immediately greeted by two pairs of eyes Jackie looked excited and started clapping and whistling causing you to laugh and cover your face only too have them pulled away by Jackie who starts complementing you like her life depends on it.
“Alright well before you give yourself an aneurysm zip me up?” You asked turning around to face the mirror.
“Of course Y/N/N” Jackie spoke her mouth next to your ear breath fanning over your neck and he hands move to the small of your back. You quickly glanced over to Shauna only to see the girl leaning back against Jackie’s bed frame glaring at you with a mix of anger and something else in her eyes that sent heat straight to your core.
“All done” Jackie cheered placing a kiss to your cheek before grabbing your hand and pulling you down to the bed where Shauna eyes remained trained on you.
And that was how they stayed for the whole drive to the party shaunas hands clutching the wheel as she flares at you through the wing mirror almost hitting a few too many trees for your liking. Once you finally arrived at the party you and Jackie went straight to the kitchen where you found Jeff, Randy, Nat and Van meanwhile Shauna found lottie and tai on the couch.
The party went by in a blur and you surprisingly enjoyed yourself spending the night dancing with Jackie and drinking with van and Nat. So as you jumped into the back of Shaunas car a giddy smile rested on your lips and an extremely drunk Jackie laid her head in your lap leaving Shauna alone in the front of the car her eyes still trained on you.
The three of you had planned to stay at Jackie’s as her parents were out of town so you and Shauna wordlessly carried an unconscious Jackie up to her bedroom and placed her in bed before pulling the two air mattresses from under Jackie’s bed and attempting to pump them up.
“Shit” you whisper as you notice why your bed hasn’t been inflating a large rip cutting across the top of the bed. You lean over to get a better look bending forward over the bed and you feel your dress rise but take no notice as you continue to fiddle with the rip seeing if it’s fixable.
“Fuck you” Shauna says from behind you her voice loud and clear “what” you whisper turning around to see her walk closer an animalistic look in her eyes “fuck. You” she spits as she lunges forward pinning you to the floor. You start to struggle only to stop when you notice how her body is pushed up against yours her slightly smaller boobs push up against your own “Shauna” you say barley above a whisper as she leans down mouth right by your ear as Jackie’s was hours earlier.
“Your such a little slut walking round in your tiny fucking dress body on display to the world as you let her touch you mad whisper in your ear” she says her tone matching yours at a whisper while she nods her head to Jackie. “She doesn’t even know what she’s doing touching you like that when she should know your fucking mine” your core is aching as Shauna chuckles into your ear Breath fanning across your neck leaving yours hairs standing on edge.
“Shauna I don’t know what your talking about” you whisper before Shauna shoots up her face right above yours as she shouts “yes you fucking do” panic sets in as she shouts Jackie only being in the bed above you “Shauna be quiet” you urge as she laughs again “she’s passed out Y/N and even if she wasn’t I don’t give a shit maybe if she saw how pathetic you look right now she would stop hanging all over you” Shauna looked you up and down before bringing her hand to rest on you chin “so Y/N/N tell me how would you feel if I fucked you right now on Jackie’s floor while she’s sound asleep right next to you” Shauna spoke with such confidence you nearly moan at the words “please Shauna” you whimper embarrassed by how pathetic you sound “please Shauna what?” Shauna whispers a false look of confusion on her face “please fuck me”
Her Lips attacked yours immediately biting down on your lower lip so hard you think she draws blood before she moves across and starts attacking your neck your hand shooting too your mouth to hide your moans before she grabs in and pins it down wordlessly before she turns to you a smirk playing on her lips “Jackie put this dress on you I watched it. The way her hands pressed against your ass and your face as she was doing it god it looked like the start of a fucking porno” she scoffed before leaning in close “she may have put this dress on you. But I’m gonna rip it off” within seconds she rips the dress. Right down the middle leaving you bare to her in only your pants as the dress was bra less. She tuts as she looks at your tits “no bra fucking slut” she whispers more to herself than anything before she latches onto your nipple causing you to release an almost pornographic moan as your hand again flys to your mouth cussing Shauna to bite down on your nipple and her head to shoot up eyes full of anger and lust “for fuck sake Y/N are you that fucking dumb you can’t do what I want for five fucking minutes christ ducking Randy would be less work than this” she spits before spinning you round so your lying on your stomach hands pinned behind your back as she begins to tie them there “are you okay with this?” She asks her voice now timid and caring “yes” you say so eager for her your annoyed by the question “if you want me to stop at any point you tell me okay” you nod so fast you almost hit your head on the floor causing Shauna to giggle “I need a get me answer sweetheart and I would also prefer you don’t give yourself another concussion” she says hands rubbing up and down your back soothingly as she straddles your thighs “okay I understand but please Shauna for the love of god fuck me” you say so desperate at this point your core physically hurts “as you wish” she says before her hands reach the back of your head forcing it down against the pillow on the floor and she begins to grind against your ass causing the two of you too moan “fuck you like that don’t you being used like the slut you are” she pulls away and you whine only to hear the sound of her dress being taken off and for her to push against you again this time grinding her bare soaked cunt against your ass.
She continued this aggressively rutting against you like a dog in heat as you lay there arms tied behind your back crying from being denied this long. It all becomes to much and you start to subtly remove your hips against the floor in need of some friction praying to god Shauna doesn’t notice.
Unfortunately god was not on your side as Shauna came against your ass you watched as you continued to move against the floor. A sharp hand fell against your ass causing you too yell and jolt forward feeling a mix of pain and pleasure “really Y/N fucking yourself against Jackie’s floor like a bitch god your pathetic” she snarls “please Shauna I need you” you plead tears running down your face. “Tell me your mine not Jackie’s not randys mine”
“Please Shauna I’m yours please I chose you not Jackie you fuck Shauna please your the one I want please please fuck” you scream the end as Shauna yanks you backwards ripping your pants of and shoving two fingers into your soaking cunt and pumping at a ungodly pace. “Your mine you fucking hear me mine not hers never hers your the only thing that I have that she never can not really she will never have you like this FUCK” she shouts adding a third finger as you clench around her “say my name” she shouts as she jumps harder and faster hitting that special spot as you come undone screaming her name.
she lets you go and you fall forward limp on the floor eyes landing on a photo on Jackie’s desk. It was of the three of you after you all got into the soccer team in high school Jackie is in the middle with her arms around both of your waists. Your head is resting on Jackie’s shoulder as you smile like you’ve just won the lottery while Shauna is smiling but her eyes aren’t on the camera she’s staring at something else. You always assumed she was looking at Jackie but no in that moment you realised she was looking at you.
You felt Shauna slump forward landing on your back and she unwraps the restraint and whispers “are you okay” her voice is different now she’s back to being the Shauna shipman that carry’s Jackie’s books and is too shy to say anything I’m sex ed. “yeah yeah I’m okay you?” You ask rolling over onto your back leaving her hovering above you just as she was when this all started “never better” she smiled before pecking your lips “I will be back” she says before getting up leaving you naked on the floor as she walks out of the room naked as the day she was born.
She returns minutes later with a wet towel two glasses of water and a pack of sour patch kids. Wordlessly she places everything down apart from the towel but just as she’s about to clean she looks up at you asking for permission which you grant she dips her finger into your core before pulling it out and placing the finger in her mouth and ducking it clean before dipping the same finger into her core and placing it in your mouth causing you both too moan. She then wipes you both down and hands you pyjamas as you both change in silence.
“Shauna?” You ask looking the the girl who’s kneeling next to you having just pulled her pyjama top over her head “yes?” She asks looking straight at you “what do we do now?” You ask suddenly nervous for her answer “well i don’t know if bows the best time to talk about it but I do know that we only have one bed and neither of us are going to be sleeping on the floor” she says before turning off the lights and pulling you onto the single bed and yanking the blanket over the two of you.
You cuddle into her resting your head on her chest as you siren to her heart beat and her fingers begin massaging your scalp. Your eyes begin to shut. And you move impossibly closer to Shauna who simply kisses you on the forehead “goodnight Y/N/N” she smiles as she watches you fall asleep.
Shauna however couldn’t sleep. It had been an hour and she was still awake and staring down at you cuddled against her drooling slightly as you let out light snores which she found adorable. She jumped when she heard a noise coming from Jackie’s bed “jackie” she whispers panicked “Shauna what time is it?” Jackie asks sleepily turning on her bedside lamp and looking down at the girl “I’m not sure” Shauna says painfully aware of what Jackie is seeing as she looks at her and you “why are you on one bed?” Jackie asks clueless “one was broke we decided to squeeze on” Shauna says hoping jackie doesn’t mention the fact your lying against her tits or the fact your pants are on the end of the bed “oh” jackie says before smiling “I’m happy you two are getting close it took you long enough” she says happily as Shauna just smiles “night jackie” Shauna says reaching up to the lamp switch “wait” Jackie says causing Shauna to pause panic rushing through her as jackie leans forward “sour patch kids god I love these thanks” Jackie says grabbing the candies from the desk and flipping into bed switching of the light before whispering “night Shauna” as she opens the candies and begins to eat them while lying in the dark humming to Taylor swift as shauna lays down a smile on her face “night Jackie”
A/N- fucking hell that was longer than expected. This so my first time writing in a really long time so please feel free to leave notes I could use them anyway hope u enjoy xxx

Please could you do a shauna and Nat fighting over reader??? I just want them both lmaaaaao
Shauna Nat Imagine/Brain rot <3
It would get heated fast lmao, Shauna is super stubborn and Nat is beyond territorial, they would try to get your attention or "claim" you with their belongings. Giving you jerseys with their names on them, jewelry, cute nicknacks ect. Shauna is ever the romantic, leaving notes at your locker and drawings she made of you when you weren't paying attention.Nat def will try to hog quality time with you, driving around in her car after hours, maybe skipping classes and chilling out under the bleachers she will 100% memorize and get into all of your interests even if she's not into it just to suck up a bit.
Both of the girls would be so sour at parties and any social events trying to steal you away "come on y/n, there's this really nice spot I found outside." Shauna insists pulling towards her and Nat would snatch you up "I think she'd like to go upstairs instead it's more private y/n."
EVERYONE WOULD BE SO OVER IT TOO! Everyone on the team would beg you to pick/fall for one of the girls asap so they can get over their rivalry/competition for your love. (Esp if you were oblivious like bffr THE GIRLS ARE SPITTING UP WANTING YOU!!

But Satisfaction Brought It Back
(1996) Shauna Shipman x fem!Reader
Summary: Shauna Shipman was like a riddle whose answer was just out of reach, and you would not be able to rest till you solved it.
Note: I hope this is alright! I had like multiple versions but this was the one that stuck with me.
Tumblr media
"Some of the guys are staring at you". You risked a look to the bleachers, like always Misty was seated, grinning widely at the training Yellowjackets. But a bit behind her were some of the guys from your grade, and different than Misty's grin, which could be seen as cute and excited, those grins made you feel disgusted. Like a piece of meat, an object.
Suddenly Shauna was in front of you, blocking your view of the bleachers and, thankfully, their view of you.
She looked at you with a frown, with these big brown eyes of hers. You wondered if anyone ever managed to stay angry at her for long. Surely all it took was someone looking in her eyes for just a moment to calm down. In your mind, you compared Shauna to a lot of animals daily, to their big innocent eyes.
"You okay?". Oh you have been staring at her. Your eyes moved around the field, faintly seeing Van smirking at your and Shauna's interaction. "Yeah just, kinda just done for the day you know?".
Your eyes met again, and you ended up just staring at each other again. It took you quite a lot of willpower not to look at her lips, but you got it done. You could not ignore how close you were to each other though. Truly, it would only take a single step to-
Suddenly Shauna pushed you to the ground, just in time for the ball to not hit your face. "HEY!". Shauna turned around to the rest of the team. "What was that?". You could see Allie flinching away in a guilty manner. "Unbelievable" And just as quickly as you sat on the ground, Shauna had helped you up again.
Her hand lingering on your arm before she let go and turned around to walk to Jackie. Without saying another word to you.
It was always like that with Shauna, hot and cold. Familiar like you were friends then the next she ignored you.
You really couldn't figure her out.
____________
She left her journal.
Shauna left her journal in the locker room.
You took a look around. You were the last person still there after helping Misty out. Shauna's journal was just right there on one of the benches. Like bait in a trap. So obvious.
How did nobody notice? How did Shauna not notice?
Your hands were itching for you to take it, surely it would be alright for you to bring it home, obviously so you could give it back to Shauna.
No other reason.
She will probably be thankful you found it!
Will give you a hug.
And if you accidentally let it fall open and see what is written inside?
Well surely she would understand.
Or simply never find out.
______________
Your hands were almost shaking when you came home that day, you didn't even bother reading yet another note from your parents explaining how they would come home late in the night. You simply ran up to your room and then pulled the journal out of your backpack.
That was it.
There was a quiet voice in your head, telling you that this was a horrible idea, an intrusion of privacy. But a louder voice told you that reading this journal would finally tell you what Shauna thought of you.
Whether she enjoyed your company or thought you were annoying.
If she liked you.
You agreed with the second voice.
You sat down on your bed, carefully opening the journal, like it would break if you were to open it too quickly.
Van knows I have a crush on...
And just like that you closed it again. You could NOT have read that name right. You opened the same page again, and sure enough, there it was, your name was written. And not only there. You flipped through some pages, again and again the same name, yours.
You read some of the entries about you and felt your cheeks burning as you did.
One entry was all about your visit to the mall with Jackie and Shauna, of course most of it was about the clothes you tried on and what she thought of them.
You remember that day clearly, you had tried on a dress because Jackie insisted you would look nice in it, but there was a zipper at the back you couldn't reach once you had it on. Shauna had helped you and you swore you forgot to breathe that day. Apparently the same had been true for her, because she wrote down that she held her breath while doing it.
Another entry is about a party neither of you wanted to go to, Shauna only went because Jackie said you would be there and you only went because Jackie told you Shauna would be there. Of course Shauna didn't know that you only came because of her, and up till now, you had no idea she only came for you.
You went to some earlier pages, trying to see if Shauna told Jackie that she liked you, apparently she did not, however she wrote that Jackie might be aware anyway.
Which makes sense, now that you look back at some times you three hanged out, only for Jackie to say she had something urgent she had to go to, leaving the two of you alone.
You laid down on your bed, staring up at the ceiling.
Shauna liked you back.
Now there was no way of giving back the journal while pretending you didn't read it. Because you had to do something about her liking you too.
This could end either really good or really badly.
Maybe you should ask Laura Lee to pray for you.
_________________
Your hands were shaking as you went into the locker room, not sure what your game plan was.
The only way to give the journal back to Shauna was now, you always stayed back to help Misty (Why that girl thought she could carry that much equipment was beyond you and you felt bad whenever you saw her struggle) and Shauna usually left early with Jackie.
So, it is now or never. Because if you keep the journal any longer Shauna will probably turn the whole school upside down as she did till now.
"Are you sure?". Her voice was the first one you heard when you entered, you were late, so most of the others were already outside. Quickly you started to change. "Yes Shauna, you put it right here! I will ask Misty, she would have noticed if someone left with your journal" Jackie walked past you, waving at you as she did.
"Or she is the one who took it" Shauna said, probably not realising you were there. You took her journal out of your bag, and walked to her, hiding it behind your back.
"Hey Shauna" Your voice was barely a whisper, having lost the courage you had just a moment ago. Her eyes found your immediately and you flinched, she looked beyond pissed. If there is one thing Shauna was good at, it was glaring at someone when pissed of.
"I uh… found your journal?" You revealed it to her, you barely had finished your sentence before she basically ripped it away from you.
Well that's not a good start.
"Where was it?" She flipped through the pages, as if she could somehow find out that way if someone read it or not. "Right here? You forgot it yesterday so…. I thought I keep it save for you?" She just nobbed her head before putting it next to her bag.
Ok, now or never.
"I actually wanted to.. eh.. to tell you something." She turned to you again, raising one of her eyebrows at you. "Well we need to go to practice just tell me-" "IreadyourjournalIamsorry". Her head snapped to you so quickly you winced, fearing she hurt her neck. "You what?", she stepped closer to you, which resulted in you stepping back and hitting a locker with your back.
Despite her wide brown eyes, Shauna could come of scary if she wanted to.
"I… I am sorry, I didn't think… I thought-"
You took a deep breath.
"I like you too". For a moment it was silent in the locker room. You both stared at each other. Her eyes slowly becoming soft. "You do?" Her eyes went to your lips, even if it was just for a second. Your own eyes did the same for her lips. You didn't even notice how you stopped breathing before you answered her with a nob.
Slowly her face came closer, ever closer, till finally she kissed you.
It was soft for just a moment before it almost became rough, but just stayed soft enough. Like she wanted to devour you whole but was afraid to do so.
"So Misty has no ide-" The door opened, leaving you and Shauna to part and look at a shocked Jackie. She looks between the two of you and then to the journal on the bench before smiling. "Oh, nevermind then, see you guys at practice! Be quick" And with that she was gone again. Leaving Shauna and you alone trying to catch your breath, you looked at each other before you both started to laugh.
"So… uh, you free tonight? There…. is this diner and -" "Sure, I pick you up after practice?" Wow, it seems like Shauna can't wait. "Yeah, yeah, that sounds great actually". She just smiled at you, leaning towards you again, just to quickly kiss you on the cheek and then drag you out of the locker room.
Seems like curiosity didn't kill the cat.

Was it ever real? pt. 2
part one.
Fandom: Yellowjackets
Pairing: Shauna Shipman x fem!reader
Genre: angst; smut; fluff.
Words: 8.2k+
Summary: part two of this imagine. your relationship with Shauna is all you could ever ask for but it’s starting to feel too good to be true.
Notes: sorry it took me forever to get this up, i was kinda lost on where i wanted to finish it but i hope you guys like what i chose. it feels a little rushed it’s because it was but i know you guys wanted this up so i tried my best.
not spell checked!
Tumblr media
you were completely and utterly in love with Shauna Shipman. that wasn't a surprise to anyone who knew you, especially not to those who had known you before and after you started dating the brunette. she had you in her hold and you weren't sure you could ever pull away. not only did you not think you were capable of it, even if you were, you wouldn't want to. it was as if your whole world had changed. in no way had you had a sad life before her but having her in your life now just made you realize the beige filter on your life before then.
being in love with her was the greatest feeling you could've ever experienced. you didn't think you could ever love and gone in that way. Shauna had made sure of that since your first date.
New years had been the day that you told her. you'd known before then, possibly since the moment you laid eyes on her but it wasn't until the clock was counting down and there were screams and teens talking around you that you couldn't hold it in anymore. you were both in Lotties basement, your friends all around you while almost everyone had on some kind of new year prop on them, including you who had a black sparkly hat and Shauna who had on a purple bead necklace. the cheap ones that you'd find at the dollar store. her hands were on your waist, holding your body that was clothed with a sparkly red dress. your hair was curled and you had on a pair of black heels that made you Shaunas height. the brunette had on a dress as well, one that Jackie had told her to wear. you thought about telling her to wear whatever made her comfortable but you knew she'd just go along with Jackie anyway.
the whole night you spent it by her side, her arm around your waist that would only leave its place when it absolutely had to but not a second later it would be back. by the time it was a minute away from midnight, you were a little drunk you could admit but you were sober enough to know exactly what you were doing. the brunette didn't drink, she had driven you both there and she would be driving you home. as soon as Randy announced there was one minute left, you turned to look at Shauna and wrapped you arms around her neck.
the minute was spent with your eyes locked on hers. they were sparkling with the blinking colorful lights around the room. there was a loud countdown that was drowned out. you couldn't hear the wasted voices or the screams from your friends. it was just Shauna with her shy smile. your girlfriend who had been devouring you with her eyes all night. your girlfriend who looked at you with so much adoration that could practically make your heart explode.
3... 2... 1...
i love you. the words had left your lips in a whisper. even with the screams and cheers she heard you, that you knew for a fact. she blushed red and you'd never forget the smile that overcame her lips. her lips crashed down on yours in that instant, pouring out her answer. her lips were fast yet soft, there was so much emotion that it made you dizzy and light headed. she had to grip your hip a bit tighter when she pulled away to make sure you wouldn't fall.
and so she whispered the words back to you.
the hallways were crowded with talking teens who were either hanging by their locker or walking out of the school. the bell had rung signaling the end of class. typically you'd walk to soccer practice hand in hand with your girlfriend but she was nowhere to be seen. Jackie had passed a note to you during English, it was from Shauna, you could tell by the handwriting.
meet me on the field after school
-Shauna<3
there was a sense of excitement bubbling inside of you. Shauna was sweet and loved to get you all kind of surprises. it seemed as if your words on your first date stuck with her since they were said. she'd get you flowers spontaneously, send you little notes during class or sometimes letters in your lockers. there was even a time during your period that she made you a basket of all your favorite candies and snacks and a teddy bear that smelled just like her. sometimes she'd even surprise you with dates, whether it was on a picnic or to a movie and dinner.
you were sure this would be something of the sort. what did weird you out was the fact that you hadn't seen any of your friends. usually if Shauna wasn't with you, they would be. you tried not to think about it too much as you walked toward the soccer field as fast as possible. it didn't take long for it to come into your sight. the sun was shinning brightly down on you so you had to squint and put your hand over them to block the sun. at first, you were too far away to see but slowly your eyes adjusted.
it was impossible to bite back the grin that broke out and the way a small gasp left your lips. once you saw your girlfriend looking at you with a shy smile and a poster in her hands, you practically ran to her. the rest of the team were around her, five of them holding up a sign with a huge letter scribbled on it.
P R O M ?
you didn't seem to be stopping as you ran to the brunette causing Shauna to drop her sign and flowers as she caught you in her arms. your feet were lifted off the ground as she caught you and spinner you slightly to catch her balance. you pulled away from her for a second to peck her lips repeatedly before you hugged her again. you could feel eyes on you which were no doubt from the rest of the soccer team which slowly made you realize that you had yet to give a verbal answer.
finally you pulled away from her and your feet landed on the grass. everyone was staring at you with a raised brow, complete silence overcoming the field. Shauna was still looking at you with that same shy smile causing yours to widen. you didn't give a verbal response at first as you picked her lips once, "yes!" you said before kissing her once more. the response causing the girls to begin to cheer loudly and soon after a hurdle of bodies tackled the two of you causing your teeth to clash and the kiss to stop.
it seemed as if the girls were more excited than both of you as they all began to cheer and jump as if they had just won nationals. when the girls had finally calmed down and gave you both space, Shauna bent down to grab the flowers and poster before she handed the lillie's to you and let you admire the poster better.
the record player in your room had a disc playing making the song echo throughout the room. the house was alone aside from you and your girlfriend. your parents had gone out of town for the weekend, initially it was supposed to be a family thing but it turned into a romantic getaway when you realized you could spend the weekend with your girlfriend instead of your disgustingly romantic parents. they didn't need that much convincing to let you stay which told you all you needed to know.
it was Saturday; Shauna and you had spent Friday at a party. Saturday morning was spent making breakfast - which was really lunch and watching movies. you were a bit hungover and neither of you felt like going anywhere. you wanted to take advantage of the empty house. your parents would always have you and Shauna in your living room and the one time she let her go in your room you had keep the door open. the only times Shauna could be in your room would be when you'd sneak her in but you had to be quiet otherwise your parents could hear considering their room was right beside yours. you knew for a fact, they'd be able to hear anything and everything. it was rather unfortunate how you had to find out of such thing.
once it started getting dark you ordered some food and spent some time talking about anything and everything. it was one of the things you loved about Shauna, she never ran out of things to talk about. it wasn't until about an hour after you ate dinner that the conversation turned into kissing. it was your plan to do so, while she ranted about her last game, you began to scoot closer and closer until your lips began to kiss her neck softly. she quickly got the hint after that.
it was how you landed in the position you were in now, her body on top of yours with her in between your legs. her lips were moving against yours hungrily. your knee was bent and she was running her palm up and down your thigh. every time she'd move her hand up, she'd move your shorts further up your body.
Shauna wasn't a virgin, she had told you that two months after you started dating. she had lost it during the summer before junior year. it was someone from another school, a jock, someone Jackie had introduced her to and practically pushed her into his arms. it wasn't horrible but if she could take it back she would. especially now. what she would give to share her first time with her girlfriend and not some douche who didn't bother to ask if she was okay when he finished.
the hand that wasn't on your thigh was cupping your jaw as she dominated the kiss. Shauna had never really been all that dominate throughout the relationship, most of the time you'd be the one leading her to where you want or telling her what you want but it was different then and there. she was the one caressing your skin without you moving her hand there, she was the one who laid you down and began to kiss you hungrily. it was obvious you were both impatient, having been together for almost six months without actually doing anything intimate.
Shauna was too shy to ever initiate it and you weren't exactly ready. although you never believed in the whole 'losing your virginity' hype, it still scared you. there were too many things to worried about and considering Shauna never pushed you, it just felt easier to wait.
you just couldn't wait any longer. the brunette moved her hand away from your jaw and moved it down your body until she reached the end of your shirt. she pulled away for a second, her eyes searching yours for some kind of consent. you smiled softly and nodded your head. that seemed to be enough for her as she leaned down to peck your lips before pulling away altogether. she began to pull the shirt over your head which made you sit up carefully. once it was off, she threw it on the floor beside her and leaned down to kiss you again.
this wasn't her first time seeing you in a bra, she had seen you changing in the locker rooms more than once but it was the first time you were both alone. Shauna bit your bottom lip softly causing a small noise to erupt from your throat. Shauna didn't make it obvious that she had heard you but she definitely had. you would've been able to tell by the smirk that flashed across her lips but you were distracted by the wet kisses that were being trailed down your neck. she was leaving marks, no doubt but you didn't care in that moment. your eyes were screwed shut as you tried not to make any embarrassing noises. the only reaction Shauna could feel from you was your hand gripping onto her hair tightly.
her lips didn't stop even when they were met with your bra. instead of waiting for her to ask for your permission, you arched your back and took the black laced bra off in a second. Shauna pulled away as you did so, her eyes not leaving yours until you threw the bra somewhere in the room. when it was off, her eyes trailed down your body until they reached your bare skin. you felt a sudden surge of shyness overcome you causing you to reach up and pull your girlfriend down by her neck. she didn't complain as her lips were back on yours.
as her wet lips moved against yours she reached down to take off her own shirt, she pulled away for a moment before leaning back down. you didn't have to open your eyes to know what her body looked like under the black shirt she was once wearing. her toned body was engraved into your memory. every time you made out, your hands would creep under her shirt to caress her toned stomach which you knew she loved. every little detail about her was in your head and you weren't sure it would ever leave.
the kissing alone was turning you on and you were growing impatient. you could feel the dampness in your underwear and a part of you wondered if she could feel you. that thought didn't linger though. sensing that Shauna wasn't sure enough to do so on her own, you grabbed her free hand and moved it down your stomach until it was inside of your shorts. she pulled away in that instant, her eyes searching yours carefully. the way she looked so concentrated and concerned made a small smile to form on your lips. you loved this about her. you just loved her.
her touch was a bit clumsy and you could practically feel her nerves radiating off her body. it made you frown, knowing neither of you were experienced and you knew all she wanted was to make you feel good. instead of voicing your reassurance, you searched for her eyes. once she finally locked eyes with you, a small smile formed on your lips and you leaned forward to kiss her softly. a whisper escaped your lips when you pulled away, "i love you."
your words were more than enough for her confidence to come back, "i love you too" she mumbled before leaning back down to kiss you passionately. with her lips on yours, you had almost forgotten her hand inside your shorts until she began to run her finger up and down your slit. you gasped softly at the touch, your back arching into her and your lips stopped moving against hers. she pulled away after that, her eyes showing nothing but concern, "are you okay? did i hurt you?" she asked worriedly.
you shook your head quickly, "keep going," you said and gripped the back of her neck tightly. she almost smiled at your reaction but held herself back. she began to grow more confident with every gasp and moan that rippled from your throat and when she felt you were wet enough, she pushed two fingers inside of you. the action caused you to pull away completely, a rather loud gasp leaving your lips. she froze instantly, her eyes searching yours to make sure you were okay. when you nodded at her, she took it as her hint to keep going. she moved in a slow pace at first, trying to get used to the feeling and listening to exactly what would make you react the most.
until you were growing far too needy, "faster," you whimpered, gripping at the back of her neck even tighter. she nodded and did as you said, her eyes trained on yours. as much as you tried to keep your eyes locked on hers, you couldn't control the way they snapped shut from the intensity of it.
she bit her lip as she thought of the advice Tai had given her. it was stupid, really. three months ago, while at a party Taissa made a sexual comment which made Shauna feel a bit intrigued. she had never been with a girl and neither had you meaning it was likely your first time would probably be a let down, something she didn't want. it made her seek advice from Tai, she was hesitant to do so, expecting the taller girl to laugh or tease but she didn't. in fact, she seemed like she genuinely wanted to help. maybe it was the fact that she had been in her same position before and she would've loved to have someone give her advice for her first time, she wasn't sure. but she did help Shauna and in this moment, she was racking back to all the points she had given her.
she had done pretty much everything, made sure you were turned on enough so it wouldn't hurt, went slow until you told her to speed up. the only thing she could think of were two things, hitting you at a certain angle which she can't quite find and another thing.
without a second though her fingers curled inside of you causing your eyes to open, "fuck," you moaned. she looked at you, waiting for your response. "keep doing that." you nodded making her chest swell with pride.
as she kept going, it began to grow harder for her to move in a steady pace. while she was thinking that she was hurting you, you began to feel a pressure in your lower abdomen that made your nails dig into the brunettes skin. you didn't have time to feel bad about it as a certain pump made your body climax. you moaned loudly, your back arching and your eyes practically rolling to the back of your head. Shaunas face flushed at the sight, her movements not stopping as she tried to help your ride out of the high you were feeling.
when you finally landed back on earth, you gasped at her movements, far too sensitive. she got the hint when you reached for her hand so she'd stop. you looked blissed out, your eyes closed and your face flushed, all of it making Shauna feel more than confident.
the brunette grabbed her shirt along with your own. she put hers on and set yours on the bed for when you felt like it. once her shirt was on her body she laid down on the bed beside you, her body turned on her side so she was facing you. it took you a minute before you grabbed your shirt and slipped it on, then you turned on your side like your girlfriend had done.
"was that okay?" she asked shyly. her words made a smile breakout on your face.
"are you kidding? that was amazing" you confessed lovingly. you moved closer to her and placed your hand on the girls cheek softly. she smiled at the action and let your lips press against her own. it was soft and loving until she felt your hand start to wander down her body. she quickly pulled away.
"tonight was about you," she said, her big brown eyes showing nothing but adoration. you frowned.
"you don't want to?"
Shauna shook her head quickly, "of course i do," she reassured and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. "but i wanted tonight to be all about you." she admitted. you nodded with a small smile.
"okay," you whispered. the brunette hummed and pulled you into her chest. you could hear how fast her heart was beating and it made your own heart beat at the thought. you loved her. more than anything and you were afraid you'd lose her somehow. even the thought made your stomach turn. how could you live without her? without her kisses and her hugs, without her brown eyes looking at you across the room. without her shy smiles and hearing how much she loves you. how could you live without Shauna Shipman?
"i love you," you whispered into the room, hoping those words would have the same affect on her as they always did on you. they did. you didn't miss the way her heart beat loudly against her chest as soon as those words were said.
"i love you too" she responded. if only she could hear the affect those words had on your heart.
she didn't feel the same. if only you had known the truth then. you wouldn't have been relieved that you spoke so loudly and you most definitely wouldn't have accepted her request. after hearing your secret, Jackie wouldn't leave her alone. she kept going on and on about how you were pretty and kind to her and you would make a great couple but all Shauna could think about was Jackie and Jeff. she didn't want you. it didn't click to her, not on the drive home and not during the three hour long conversation Jackie had with her in which all she talked about was the double dated the four could go on and all of the things that came with her best friend having a girlfriend. it did once she was getting ready to fall asleep. having you could distract her and she wouldn't be the only single one. she wouldn't have to feel the longing of wanting to have what Jackie had with Jeff. she would finally feel what being with another person and not being a third wheel was. you seemed to really like her and that would make anyone feel better about themselves and she didn't want to take that for granted.
so the next morning when she picked up Jackie to go to school, she told her that she'd take her advice and ask you out.
what had you just read?
it was just a rundown of what was written in that book. you left out the part on how she thought you were spoiled and how you got around the school. you left out the part in which she just wanted to feel loved.
how stupid could you be? how stupid could you be to believe that she would love you back? that you were lucky enough to have admitted to liking someone and that person liking you back?
you always protected your feelings, or at least you tried to. how did it not click that it was too good to be true?
the pain was unbearable. you couldn't even begin to explain what it felt like, even if you tried. was this a heartbreak? it was. Shauna Shipman had managed to be your first love and your first heartbreak all in the matter of six months.
you hadn't meant to read it. you didn't even mean to have found it. it was the morning after and Shaunas parents wanted her home so you went with her. your parents wouldn't be home til late that night and you didn't want to be alone. she was in the shower when you found it. you weren't looking for it, you weren't planning on reading it and you felt wrong to it. you just couldn't explain the need to, you couldn't explain the feeling in your chest that you had to read it. in the end, you were right. there was a reason you felt that urge, a reason you felt in your chest. it was to protect you. to protect yourself from looking stupid for any longer.
when you began to read it, you felt wrong doing it. you felt dirty and like it was an invasion of privacy. that didn't last longer than a second. you didn't read anything before the day she said yes, not wanting to invade her privacy to that extant. you just had to know what she felt the day that she accepted your outing.
you deserved to know. you deserved to know that she didn't love you. that she only used you. that you were just a joke to her. you deserved to know that you have yourself to someone who didn't deserve it. that you had reserved yourself for so long just to fall into her trap. fuck her.
the door opened behind you but you didn't flinch. your eyes were trained on the book on the desk in front of you. you didn't even turn when she spoke. "my parents are on their way home, they said they want us to go to lunch with them but only if your comfortable. they can be a little overwhelming" she admitted with a small chuckle. her words didn't register, you didn't have the mind to think about the fact that her parents were actually trying with you after telling their daughter that they wanted her to date a guy. they were never disrespectful or all that homophobic but they did express the fact that they wanted their daughter to be with someone that wouldn't cause others to hate her. you should've listened to them.
Shaunas brows furrowed in slight confusion at your lack of words. her mouth opened to speak but it shut just as quickly when you turned around, her diary in your hand.
"what is this?" you asked, eerily calm. Shauna looked confused at first, her eyes moved away from you and to the book in an instant before she looked at you once more. there was panic in her eyes and you didn't miss the way they glanced at it twice more before she finally took a step toward you.
she didn't get far, just enough so that she wasn't across the room from you. "you read my journal?" she asked, both hurt and panic written all over her features.
you scoffed in disbelief. "what the fuck is this Shauna?" you pressed, not at all caring what she to say about you. it didn't matter that you fucked up by invading her privacy, not in that moment.
at your angry tone and the anger swirling in your eyes, her panic officially set in. she had to fix it. "just let me explain," she said quickly, taking a step toward you but you flinched causing her to freeze in her spot. she had fucked up majorly. she knew that. god did she know that. it didn't matter what she said or did, you wouldn't forgive her and she couldn't blame you.
"no." you said firmly while holding your hand up so she wouldn't come any closer to you. "tell me what the fuck this is." the words were stern and your tone was harsh. they left a heavy tension in the air and they cut deep into Shaunas heart. you'd never been like this. never with her. there were barely any arguments and when there were, they were small and were resolved usually in the same day. this wouldn't be the same.
Shaunas eyes began to water and it was taking everything in you to not match her emotions. it was taking everything in you to remain angry instead of broken, to show that you were pissed off and not that you were feeling the heaviest heartbreak you've ever felt in your existence. "please," she said desperately, holding her hands together in front of her in an almost begging manner. "i-" as she began to speak you cut her off.
"you what? you were so fucking jealous of your best friend you decided you'd settle for me?" you clapped back. you knew your words would hurt and you accomplished it. you knew Jackie was always Shaunas biggest insecurity and you promised yourself to never use it against her and yet here you were, doing just that.
Shauna ignored your harsh words "please just let me explain" she repeated, hoping that you would just listen.
"explain what?" you chuckled dryly, "explain the fact that you used me?"
Shauna shook her head quickly, "at first," she said making you shake your head angrily but she didn't stop there. she was panicking to finish what she had to say or you'd leave. she knew you'd leave. "not after i realized how much i actually liked you" she tried but instead of making you feel some type of love, it made you feel angrier.
"when did you know?"
"y/n" she begged but you didn't budge.
"when did you fucking know Shauna." you snapped. you needed to know when her feelings changed. when she thought you were enough for her to love, if she ever even did love you. you needed to know when it wasn't just about her needing a lover and instead needing you.
the brunettes eyes shifted away from you and to the ground for a split second. "on our first date"
her words somehow made you angrier, you couldn't explain it. "don't lie to me!"
"i'm not!"
it was silent. you tried to process her words. she knew on your first date meaning she had only initially wanted to use you. was she even being honest? or was she just saying that to try and soothe things over? did she love you or did she still want someone to warm her bed? and after the anger came sadness. she used you. the girl you were oh so in love with, used you. it was after that in which your tears couldn't be stopped. not even if you tried. when Shauna realized your teary eyes, her heart dropped. she did this.
you shook your head, "i don't believe you," you said, a tear rolling down your cheek making you wipe it away furiously.
it made Shauna speak faster than her brain could process. "that day was everything to me. you made me feel a way i never had before. every time you looked at me i could feel it in my stomach, every time you would tell me about a 'friend' i just wanted that to be me. i wanted it to be me in your life. that's why i kissed you." she explained, hoping you would believe her. wishing you could understand how much losing you was scaring her.
that wasn't enough. it could never be enough. her words couldn't fix the betrayal you felt. her words wouldn't take away the fact that she only went out with you because she was alone and you were you as she put it. "fuck you" you spat, angrily wiping away all of your tears.
Shauna shook her head "please" she begged once more. she took a step forward, not caring that you were stepping away. she didn't stop until you were pressed against her desk but she didn't reach out to touch you, not able to go that far.
"no Shauna." you said pushing at her chest "fuck you! it was always real to me! i didn't have to hear you talk about some friend to know i liked you. you know how much last night meant to me, how much i wanted it to be with someone that loved me as much i loved them." you cried, your voice breaking at the end. her own eyes began to water at the sight.
"but i do! i love you!" she exclaimed, desperation dripping in her voice.
it could've been enough. it should have. but it wasn't. it just wasn't. "no you don't! i didn't have to force myself to like you! i just did! i fucking love you and that's me! not some fucking way to make myself feel better for always being in my friends shadow." you shouted, the words hurt her. you knew that. you intended that. you wanted her to hurt just as much as she had hurt you.
"you don't mean that." she shook her head, her face contorted in pain.
"i fucking do. we're over. leave me alone and don't you dare try to contact me again." you grit out and pushed the brunette completely off of your body. Shauna caught herself on the bed and watched as your stormed out of her room with tears streaming down your face and a broken heart.
cries could be heard throughout the house. your sobs echoed and they left everyone in the room with a heavy heart. your parents weren't home yet, you were thankful for that. you weren't sure what you would do if they were. they loved Shauna and you didn't want to tell them that you were wrong about her, she wasn't the sweetest girl in the world. she didn't deserve your love and you in fact couldn't be with her forever. what a funny thing. how funny of you to ever have thought that you could be with her forever.
"y/n/n" Lottie mumbled softly, her hand caressing your back in soothing circles. you couldn't feel it though, you couldn't feel anything but the pain in your chest.
"it's hurts so much" you cried into Lotties chest. your hand was clutching your shirt and your face was blotched and puffy by now. Taissa, on the other hand, was pissed. as soon as she heard Lottie tell her what happened, she threatened to go beat Shauna up but Lottie knew that was the last thing you wanted. Van was there too, on your  right with her hand on your shoulder to show you that she was there.
"i know." Lottie whispered softly. she didn't know. she didn't know what it was like to love someone that much. you were so in love that truthfully, no one believed that type of love even existed.
it did. to you.
Van looked at her girlfriend with a glare making the brunettes eyebrows furrow. the ginger girl rolled her eyes before motioning to you with her head. it was then that she understood what she meant. the brunette sighed softly and finally turned toward you. she took a step forward and bent down on one knee, her hands reaching for yours to get your attention. your red eyes turned toward her in slight confusion.
"she's not worth it, y/n" she said softly, expecting her words to bring you comfort but instead they made you cry harder and Lottie reached over to hit her arm with 'what the fuck' look. Taissa shrugged her shoulder holding her hands in confusion making Lottie shake her head. they seemed to have a silent conversation that was too loud and it was as if you could hear them.
"i love her" you cried, "she's my everything. she's literally the air i need to live and i feel like i'm dying," you continued. Taissa looked stunned by your words. her words weren't enough. nothing she could say would change your broken heart.
she nodded her head, "okay" she said lowly and stood up. you looked a little confused until you felt her pull you into her body into a tight hug. "im here. we're all here." she reassured.
but she wasn't here, and that's all you really wanted.
the change was hard. going from being with someone for six months straight and seeing them almost every day in those six months to avoiding her as much as you could was a lot. all you did was avoid her. you had classes together and in those classes you switched seats with whoever you were friends with in that class. you went from being lectured by your teacher in those classes for talking and laughing to being completely silent and paying attention to the class. your group of friends, or at least your old friends began to hang out with you again. even Mason began to talk to you again, thinking that in some magical way you were sad enough to rely on him. that would never happen.
you walked the halls with most of the cheer girls and some of the jocks, you went back to sitting with those friends at lunch too. you didn't have Shaunas hand to hold and she didn't hold your backpack and books as she walked you to your next class. everyday at lunch you watched the table you would sit at with Shauna. most of the time you would sit with Lottie, Taissa and Van but sometimes you would sit alone. those times, you spent it giggling and gushing with the girl, everyone else just disappeared.
Shauna didn't like your old friends and after sitting at the table just once she told you that she felt uncomfortable which started the day in which you avoided them as much as you could. you did everything for her. what a joke.
soccer was over so you didn't have to deal with seeing her everyday in the locker room or at practice. she had tried talking to you a couple of times but each and every time you would have a friend, whether they were the 'popular' ones who talked to you so you could ignore her or the three musketeers who would glare at her. there was an instance in which Taissa got a little too aggressive which just angered you. it was between you and Shauna and you didn't need anyone fighting your fights.
spending weekends with your girlfriend went to partying with your friends and crying in your room. your parents had noticed, it was impossible for them not to have noticed. the breakup hit you hard in more than one way and they were the first to notice. you barely ate, you were either never home and if you were, you'd spend it listening to music and crying your eyes out.
and just like that, a month had passed and it was prom. what was supposed to be a magical day with your girlfriend turned into going alone with people who didn't even know you. not really.
for what it was worth, Shauna didn't give up with a lack of trying. she'd buy you flowers and leave them on your locker or doorstep. she'd write you letters or notes but you never had it in you to read them. you just couldn't. nothing she could say could take away the embarrassment and humiliation you felt every time you thought about it.
the dress you had chosen for the night was black and long. it was tight against your body and it had a slit running up your left leg. your hair was curled and your makeup was light. you had arrived in a limo with your friends. you wanted to ride with Lottie but they had been so annoying that you couldn't say no. it's not like Lottie minded, Van and Taissa were going with her anyway.
unfortunately, you didn't take into account that Mason would be going with you and god did he not take no for an answer. he wasn't too touchy, he'd just put his arm around you or call you beautiful far too many times. not to mention the fact that all he did was talk about how you were single now and so was he. why couldn't he take the hint? you weren't interested in him or anyone else for that matter. you loved Shauna and you weren't sure if that would ever change.
at some point you detached from the group and went to your other friends, who were all more than happy to see you. originally, you didn't want to go, not without the girl that you loved but they had been the ones to convince you to go. there was no point in mourning alone when you could be doing it with your friends, maybe even getting drunk. that sounded amazing. getting drunk and forgetting about everything you had gone through.
until your eyes landed on her. until you saw the girl of your dream standing across the room from you in her beautiful dress. it was dark green and long and it outlined all of her curves. she looked perfect. in they eyes of a goddess, she was perfect. every inch, every little part about her would put angels to shame. and when you saw her, it was as if the air had been knocked out of your body. it was as if you had been smacked in the back and you had to recover from such a harsh blow. the brunette was beside Jackie and Jeff who were too engrossed with each other to even look at her. until her eyes finally found yours.
it was the first time she had seen you that night and it showed. in the way her face turned red and the way her eyes widened and they raked down your body over and over again. you were beautiful in her eyes and the sad part was, you believed that. even though you wished you didn't, you knew she loved you in the end. it was impossible to fake something to that extent. but it didn't change the fact that she only saw you as a tool in her plot at the beginning, it didn't change the fact that you weren't sure you could ever trust her again.
as much as you felt love, you felt heartbreak and watching the way she looked at you with nothing but love, just broke you even more. instantly your eyes looked away from the brunette and you tried to focus on whatever it was Taissa and Lottie were talking about.
but even then you could feel the way your heart was constructing against your chest, the way your breathing was growing labored and the way all of your muscles tensed. it was too much. you couldn't be there, it didn't matter what your friends had said over and over again, you couldn't be in the same room as her and not feel how much love you have for her.
"im gonna get some air" you rushed out as quickly as you possible could before turning your body and leaving before anyone could stop you. Taissa and Lottie were about to chase you but they were stopped by Van who saw the way Shauna had started to rush out the door the second you looked away.
"Van-" Taissa snapped, about go off on her girlfriend for stopping her but the ginger girl shook her head.
"let them. they have to talk about it" she said.
Lottie sighed heavily, "she's right."
by the time you made it passed the doors, Shauna was hot on your heel. "y/n!" she said loudly, trying to get your attention.
all you could do was shake your head. "no." you said, tears already building and making your eyesight blurry. you couldn't do this.
"please." the brunette begged, you could hear the desperation in her voice but you couldn't. you just couldn't. your body turned and you were met with an equally upset Shauna.
"i can't." you shook your head. "i can't, Shauna" you replied with a trembling jaw. she looked like she wanted to take a step forward but she stopped herself from doing so, afraid you'd run away.
"im sorry. please know i'm sorry." she begged.
her words didn't help, in fact they only made your pain worsen. "how am i supposed to forgive you? how am i supposed to ever trust you again?" you cried, throwing your hands up in frustration.
Shauna shook her head. "i'll do anything. you know i will. just tell me what i can do to make this better." she cried. could she make this better? could anything in the world fix the humiliation you felt when you read that book?
you weren't sure anymore but you didn't have to think about it because you were being saved by an unlikely hero.
the black beat up car rolled up beside you and the passenger door window opened to reveal a blonde with smudged liner and an unlit cigarette in her hand. "everything good?" she asked, her eyes darting between each girl.
"can you take me home?" you rushed out before Shauna could answer for you. the blonde looked a bit surprised at first, you two weren't exactly friends.
"uh.." she trailed off about to say no but when she saw how desperate you were, she sighed. "get in." she said motioning to the back door. you didn't have to be told twice.
as soon as you stepped inside your bedroom door, you took off your dress and threw your body onto the bed. you were drained, emotionally, mentally and physically. you knew going was a bad idea but you let yourself be swayed by the three people who convinced you to go to school that day. maybe if you would have said no, Shauna wouldn't have the opportunity to ask you out. maybe she would've backed down. maybe your heart wouldn't be torn in two.
of course, your conversation in the parking lot wasn't enough for the brunette. she couldn't let you go. not then and not ever. she loved you too much and she knew you loved her too. she'd never experienced such a feeling and she was sure she'd never be able to again.
so she did exactly what you told her during your first date. did the only thing that could maybe make you realize she did love you. that she made a mistake and that everyday from the day she wrote that stupid entry, she wished she could take it back.
the song was low at first, just a soft humming that could be confused with a car driving past with loud music. until the song grew louder to the point in which it caught your attention. it was close to your house. your brows furrowed and you slowly lifted your face that was buried deep into the pillow. your makeup was smudged and you could feel the stickiness of your mascara along with tears on your face.
considering how you looked, you wanted to ignore it but it was getting hard to the longer they stayed. it was someone who obviously wanted someone’s attention, you just weren’t who yet. with an eye roll, you got up from your bed and went to your mirror first so you could wipe away the smudged mascara and wipe away the still wet tears that were falling. when you thought you looked okay or at least not completely and utterly broken, you went to your window and pulled back the curtains.
the sight before you was something you most definitely weren’t expecting. anything but that. maybe some annoying kids playing music too loud or a neighbor with their radio on but never would you have imagined to see your ex girlfriend standing in your front lawn with a boombox above her head. anything but that.
suddenly nothing mattered and suddenly she hadn’t broken your heart. she wasn’t Shauna Shipman, the ex that had completely destroyed you and any chance at wanting to fall in love. she wasn’t the one who wrote those things in her diary but instead the one who kissed you in her car. the one who would hold your hand in class when you’d get anxious, the one who’d stay sober when you’d drink, who would let you fall asleep first so you didn’t feel alone, the one who would let you put your legs under hers even though she hated it. the Shauna that you fell so utterly in love with.
without a chance to second guess yourself, you turned away from the window and ran out of your room. your hurried footsteps echoed throughout the house making your dad ask what the commotion was about. you didn’t even think to answer as you reached the front door and whirled it open making a gush of wind enter the house. it didn’t matter that you were shoeless and that you were letting her in again. it didn’t matter because she was Shauna, your Shauna.
the brunettes eyes widened when she saw you rush out of the house and she quickly dropped the boombox as you ran toward her. it was like deja vu as she caught you in her arms. you did the thing you had been wanting to do since you broke up, the thing you dreamed of. your lips crashed down on hers in a passionate, love filled kiss.
it dripped with emotion, with sadness, ache, longing but overall love and adoration. each of you loved each other so passionately that you couldn’t stay away. not for a moment longer. it was easy to say you’d never let her in again but seeing her there, doing the thing you told her you’d always wanted, you couldn’t resist. this was Shauna, even if she was also the one who wrote those things in her journal, it didn’t change the fact that you fell in love. it just didn’t.
tears began to fall once more causing you to pull away. Shauna had a matching expression and you could feel those tears on your lips. “im sorry.” she said quickly. “im so sorry, i never meant to hurt you and i promise i’ll never do it again. i promise-”
you shook your head and leaned down to kiss her gently. when you pulled away, the brunette finally set you down on the ground and you took advantage of it to wipe away her tears with your thumb. both of your hands were holding her face gently. “i know. i know you are and i know it won’t be easy to get over it but i want to try. i want to try for us.” because losing her hurt way more than loving her and you couldn’t put yourself through that any longer.
you couldn’t explain it and maybe a lot of people wouldn’t understand it, including your friends but it didn’t matter. Shauna Shipman was a good person, a good girlfriend and someone worthy of love and forgiveness. you just couldn’t bring yourself to stay away from her any longer. not now and scarily enough, maybe not ever.
“i promise you everything i’ve said is real. i promise my love for you is real. it was always real.” Shauna said, her eyes still watering. neither of you knew if it was from sadness or love or maybe both. maybe it was sadness you felt of being away from the person you loved so much.
your lips quirked into a gentle smile at her words, “i love you.” you said softly. Shaunas lips matched yours and you felt the way she pulled you into her by your waist, this time not waiting for you to initiate it.
“i love you so much more.” she responded before you felt a pair of soft lips come crashing down on your own.
you’d be okay.

We need more Shauna love, how do you think Shauna would react after being told she is the prettiest girl in the world, after she was ranting about jackie and how pretty she is. (Cough was cough)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"It just bothers me that she always gets her way because of her looks, it's so unfair." Shauna complained, venting about how Jackie had been selected as the team captain, even though she wasn't even one of the top three players on the team.
"Well, honestly, I think you're prettier," you said sincerely.
"Oh, come on," Shauna chuckled in response. "You don't have to say that just to make me feel better."
"I genuinely mean it, Shauna," you reassured her. "I'm not saying Jackie isn't pretty; I'm not blind. But I really think you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen."
Shauna was taken aback by your words, but she couldn't help but smile. "Do you really think so?" she asked sheepishly.
You nodded in affirmation. "Absolutely," you reassured her once more, "And I love your big sad brown eyes, they're so pretty," you said confidently.
"Sad?" She asked, chuckling in confusion.
"Yeah, it looks like you're always pouting," you explained, "But it's really cute. It makes me want to pinch your cheeks," you said with a laugh, making her laugh shyly as she nodded in understanding.
"Well, thank you," she said with a soft smile. "Really," she said, feeling better now that you had made her smile.
"Mhm," you hummed sweetly with a soft smile, pulling her into a hug, which she instantly reciprocated.

"Why are you ginger?!" Some of them exclaimed at the unison.
Shauna rolls her eyes, blushing a little. "I lost a bet." She just said, letting her suitcase on the floor.
Jackie bit her smile, knowing the reason, after all it was a bet between them. The blonde crossed her arms and sat down, the salt on her hair wavering her locks. Shauna glares at her, giving her a sarcastic look.
"Okay. You can change upstairs, you staying with Y/N. Right corner, second door." Lottie informed her, eyeing the pair of friends discreetly.
They all have an entire week in Charlotte's beach house in Lake Key, a big house for all of them. A paradise they can enjoy.
Shauna hummed, scanning the living room and not seeing the mentioned one there, assuming she is upstairs or out in the pool with the rest. She is grateful to have Y/N like a roomie, she is the most tidy of all their friends. The -now- ginger girl changed into a bikini, grabbing her sunscreen, book and going downstairs.
The heat hit her body when she walked in the back garden, her friends having fun in the pool or laying on the grass chatting. Shauna laid a towel next to Taissa in the grass, depositing her things there and throwing herself in the pool, purposely doing it and smirking when they gasp and call her name.
"Shauna!" Y/N exclaimed happily, swimming towards her. "You look beautiful." She innocently said.
If this compliment came from one of her other friends, she would probably show her middle finger. But it's Y/N, the unique innocence of the group, Laura Lee left behind that adjective a long time ago.
"Thanks." Shauna muttered, clearing her throat and reciprocating the hug.
Y/N giggles, separating from the embrace but remaining close. "How's college?"
"Good! Stressing but really good. How about you? I heard you struggled at first." Shauna asks, rubbing the drops from her eyes.
"Yeah... Van went there a few days. I know, I'm like a child. But I spent years seeing your faces and then I didn't." Y/N explained, shrugging.
Shauna gives her a lipped smile. She struggled the first weeks too, used to see them, hang out and play soccer. "I don't think so. I understand what you mean." She shrugs too.
A splash interrupted their conversation, moving their faces to the side avoiding the water hit their faces. Another trail of curses from the ones sunbathing were heard, Natalie and Van ignored them with big smirks on their faces.
"Y/N, Jackie wanted you to go with her." Van commented.
Shauna saw how Y/N bit her lip but nod nonetheless, waving at them and walking out from the pool.
"Poor Y/N. Jackie is trying to corrupt her." Natalie hummed at Shauna, her eyes focused on the mentioned.
"Why?" Shauna asks, following her gaze. Jackie held Y/N's hand and went into the house, Lottie following behind.
"She said 'Y/N needs to wake up and have fun'." Van replied, imitating Jackie's voice. "Usually Lottie keeps an eye on Jackie, just in case." The redhead explains.
Shauna rolls her eyes, so typical of Jackie. However she could understand why, the blonde doesn't want people to mess with Y/N and maybe she has in mind this summer to make her less innocent.
The rest of the day Shauna inverted to catch time with her friends and finish the book she was reading this past day. When Jackie and Y/N returned, the first one had a mischievous smirk on her lips, a pallid Y/N travelled behind with Lottie wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
"Where were you guys?" Taissa is the first to ask.
"Discovering the world." Jackie mysteriously said, sitting in a chair and quitting her big black t-shirt, showing her soft orange bikini.
They all frowned by her answer. "I'm afraid to ask... But what did you do to her?" Natalie asks, throwing the uno cards on the towel, piercing her blue eyes on Jackie Taylor.
"Show them." Jackie says at Y/N, smiling reassuringly at her. "It was part of the bet." She shrugs her shoulders.
Lottie put herself in front of Y/N, clearly seeing the struggles on her face and deciding to put a stop. "Enough Jackie. She did it, let her be comfortable."
Shauna squinted her eyes when heard Jackie said bet. Internally she rolled her eyes, what have Jackie with bets? And why does her opponent always lose?
Y/N gave Lottie a grateful look and went to sit down away from Jackie, it needed to be something big when Y/N did it. Van muttered something and stepped towards Y/N, bringing a chair with themselves and sitting next to her. Shauna kept an eye on them while Natalie and Taissa tried to worm out what she did to her.
"It's sexy." Jackie was the only thing she said before walking in again, muttering something about starting to fix up to party up.
Taissa ran after her, the group dissolving slowly to follow Jackie's steps. Shauna waited for Y/N and Van to join her when she stood up and they walked towards her direction.
The three walked in and Van disappeared to the left once they were upstairs, making Y/N and Shauna snort when they commented something about waiting an hour for Taissa to be ready.
"It's a good thing that we have our own bathroom in our bedrooms." Shauna commented, opening the door to their shared bedroom. Y/N hummed behind her, her brown eyes catches her red eyes and the dry cheeks. "Do you want to go shower first?" She offers, letting her things on her bed next to the window.
"No, you can go first. I'm going to see what I can wear." Y/N gave her a smile, going to the closet and opening it.
Shauna muttered okay and grabbed some comfortable clothes, disappearing in the fancy bathroom. She doesn't get too late there, putting her clothes on quickly and brushing her hair while coming back to the bedroom.
"All yours." She said at Y/N, seeing her sitting on her bed and watching outside hugging her knees.
"Those jeans stand out your ass." Y/N giggling said when Shauna gave her back at her. Shauna blushed, letting her brush on her bed. "Shit, it made you feel uncomfortable? I don't say it it's like a bad thing." Y/N rants out, standing up and explaining with her hands.
The compliment deepens her blush, the burn on cheeks worsen it. "It's okay, Y/N. You should shower up, I don't want to hear Natalie bark out later." She avoided it, chuckling nervously by her own comment.
Y/N nods, grabbing her clothes and going in. While Shauna waits for Y/N, she decides to put her clothes in her part of the closet. She was the last to approach there, the others coming two days earlier. She finished and Y/N didn't come out, she is really taking so long.
"I'm ready! Sorry to take so long." Y/N opened the door and came out with a summer yellow and white dress, her burn cheeks framing her beauty. She let out a giggle while putting her earrings when saw Shauna looking at her with her jaw dropped, her brown eyes looking her up and down. "I'm that bad?" She briefly pouts, looking at her dress.
Shauna shakes her head, clearing her throat. "N-No!" She stammered, closing her eyes momentarily. "You look beautiful, Y/N! I just..." Shauna thinks hard for something else to say, her blush intensifying. "You look great." She said poorly, biting her lower lip cursing herself in her mind.
Y/N let out a grin, happily to hear her friend compliment her. "I'm grabbing my purse and we can go down." She let her brush on her bed, just like Shauna and do what she said.
When they approached the living room, some whistling from their friends were heard. "Damn, Y/N! You look hot." Natalie says lowly, eyeing Y/N.
Laura Lee let out a chuckle and pinched Y/N's cheeks. "Stop, Nat! She is blushing." The blonde kindly says, rubbing her hand up and down on her back. "But she is right." She whispered in her ear, however Shauna heard her, making her jaw clenched.
"Thank you girls." Y/N shyly said, side hugging Laura Lee and later Natalie, intertwining her arm with hers.
"Woah! You worked on that ass." Van shocked said, stepping next to her and their jaw dropped when her blue eyes met Y/N's figure. "I died and I went to heaven?"
Shauna shakes her head with a small smile while the others laugh. Their laughter intensified when someone else cleared her throat behind them, a smug Taissa was there with her arms crossed about her chest, raising an eyebrow.
"And you come back to actually die." Natalie smugly said. Van rolled their eyes, glaring at her. The dyed blonde put her hands in the air, but her smirk remains.
"Look at her." Van leaned on Taissa and whispered, signaling with their head towards Y/N.
Taissa rolled her eyes and stepped down, going to the kitchen winking at Y/N when passed by her side, Y/N gave her a sheepish smile and Van trailed behind her.
"Damn, girl!" A raspy voice said behind Shauna, smacking her ass.
"Jackie!" Shauna hissed. However Jackie chuckles to stop abruptly when step next to her, her doe eyes focusing on Y/N.
Lottie passed them and winked at Y/N, making a gesture with her hands at her. "We are going out now!" She hummed, going to the front door.
Natalie made a signal with her hands, stopping them. "We need to check on her all night. I'm not letting any dude rub her up."
"Who?" Y/N asks, confused.
They all looked at each other.
•••
"My head hurts..." Jackie muttered when she got downstairs, sitting in the bar stool next to Shauna and leaning her head on her shoulder, a brief pout on her face.
Shauna snorted, but that simple sound made her flinch, Jackie too. Last night all of them had fun, well, not all of them, they made a bet (yes, other) and Laura Lee lost, meaning that she needed to take care of them (Y/N).
"Be quiet, Shauna." Jackie groaned.
Taissa sat down with a water bottle next to the pair, Van offering to make the lunch that day, since surprisingly they barely drank last night. Lottie offered to help the redhead, but Van pushed her next to Taissa and declined her offer with a gentle smile, making the three people sitting there release a relief breath.
"Where are the others?" Jackie raised her head on Shauna's shoulder, her eyes half open looking at Lottie and Taissa.
Taissa shrugged. "I just came down."
"Nat is asleep. Laura Lee and Y/N are in the pool." Lottie informed them in a low voice, leaning her head in her hand tiredly.
Jackie hummed just in time when Y/N came inside giggling with Laura Lee flying behind her with a grin.
"That smells good, Van. Do you need some help?" Y/N kindly asks, giving a smile to her friends there. Jackie called her with her hands, once Y/N approached Jackie and sat her down on her lap.
"Actually, yes please. Can you cut the vegetables?" The redhead requested her.
Y/N agreed, fighting with Jackie to release her. "Jackie! I need help Van." She said giggling.
"A kiss and I leave you." The blonde demanded, making Shauna roll her eyes.
Y/N didn't think about it too much, kissing her cheek a few times. Jackie unwrapped both arms from her body content when Y/N did what she asked.
Laura Lee sat down next to Lottie, massaging her shoulders with a smile. Shauna gazes at them, curious. Lately, she noticed how those two spent more time together, maybe the fact that they are going to the same college has something to do with it. It's not like Lottie and Laura didn't get along in the past, the brunette spent an amount of time defending Laura Lee from bullies.
Shauna decided to help too, letting a whining Jackie sit alone. She put on the cutlery and offered to wake up Natalie when the food was ready. The lunch passed without too much energy from half of them, the only conversation heard was between Laura Lee, Van and Y/N. Once they are done, Lottie shoves them out and cleans the dirty dishes, but a stubborn Natalie stays and helps her.
"You two put sunscreen on!" Jackie threw at Shauna and Y/N two bottles of it. "I don't want you two to get serious damage for not taking care of your skin." The blonde sternly said.
Shauna opened an eye and saw her stern look on her. She doesn't bother Y/N doing it, because she knows that Y/N is putting sunscreen. She rolled her eyes and opened the top, putting some cream on her burned cheeks.
"Don't forget the rest of your body." Jackie sarcastically said with a smile before she lay down on her towel, next to Shauna.
Y/N gave her a funny look, holding her laugh. Shauna pokes her tongue out, throwing the sunscreen at her when she finishes.
"Jackie! Shauna threw the sunscreen at me." Y/N childish said, laughing when Shauna gave her an offended look.
Jackie gazed at Shauna with a suspicious look, but holding a laugh for Y/N's behaviour.
"I thought she wanted it." Shauna made an excuse, biting her lip. She shrugs her shoulders, waiting for Jackie to look away and give Y/N a warning look, standing up and running after her. She caught her quickly, Y/N was still laughing between her arms. "You regret it." She muttered, throwing Y/N into the pool with a smirk.
A scream fell from her mouth but she was cut when Shauna threw her in the pool. "Shauna!" She exclaimed, wiping her eyes. Shauna has an amused smirk painted on her lips.
"What happened?" Van came, a hawaiian shirt on.
"Van! she threw me here because she can't be an adult." Y/N pointed with a finger at Shauna.
The brunette gasped. "Me!? What about you? You can't be an adult." Shauna exclaimed indignantly, looking at Van, who has an amused smirk on their face, annoying Shauna more.
Van bit their lip and wink to Y/N. Shauna saw it and gasped offended. The redhead pushes her once she stays looking at Y/N. "Sorry, Shauna. I tripped." They feigned regret, but their blue eyes lit with mischief.
"Van." Shauna hissed, scowling next to Y/N, who is laughing by her side.
Y/N wrapped her arms around her shoulder and hugged her. However Shauna nudged her rib, but she missed and nudged her boob, making Y/N let out a pain sound.
"Are you okay?" Shauna gazes at her with worry, seeing the pain on her face. "I don't want to hit that zone..."
"I'm fine." Y/N breath out, putting a hand on her chest.
Shauna notices something when her eyes fall to her chest unconsciously. "Do you have a piercing?" She asks incredulously. All of the people who can wear it, Y/N is not one of them.
Y/N blushed and looked briefly at Van. This one wears a worried expression, not hearing Shauna question. "Yes... I did yesterday."
The ginger opened her eyes and mouth. An idea popping in her mind. "Wait... That's why you all disappeared?" Y/N nodded, still with a hand on her chest.
"I'm going inside." Y/N whispered, going out of the pool and after wrapping a towel around her, she got inside. Shauna felt a little bad, even if she didn't want to give that hit intentionally.
Van patted her back and muttered a reassuring word. When minutes passed and Y/N didn't come out, Shauna decided to check on her. She walked towards their shared bedroom, finding it empty but the bathroom's door closed. She knocked a few times and called her name.
"You can come in." Y/N said.
Shauna opened the door and stopped on her tracks when saw Y/N topless, a red shadow covering her cheeks. "Is it okay?" She asks in a low voice, avoiding her naked chest.
"I think so. It has a red mark but nothing serious." Y/N explained.
Her brown eyes fell to her chest, a metal piercing on her left boob. It seems a little inflamed around the nipple, but that's all. She saw how Y/N put on some cream there.
"It hurt you?" Shauna whispered.
Y/N raised her head and saw a sad expression on her face, her half wet ginger hair covering part of her cheeks, her brown eyes showing more of the colour.
"Don't worry, Shawn. I'm fine." Y/N reassuringly said, giving a smile.
Shauna rolled her eyes. "Don't call me that." She said in a hushed tone. She hates that they call her with that name. She removed her hair from her vision and walked out, sitting on her bed and waited for Y/N to finish.
Y/N came out and sat down on her bed, now with her purple bikini on. Shauna gazes at her, every gesture silently. She wanted to ask some questions, but she doesn't want to overstep. The other raised her eyes to her and watched her expression, standing up and stepping towards her.
"Don't think about it. Let's go out." She grabs her hand and pulls her up. Shauna gave her a lipped smile, wrapping an arm around her waist.
"It's kinda hot." She murmurs, suppressing a laugh when Y/N turns to look at her with raised eyebrows. "I'm surprised you did it. You can use it against Nat when she tells you you need to loosen up." She said joking.
"I will keep it in mind." Y/N said with a thinking face.
•••
That evening they decided to go sightseeing in the small town. Shauna and Jackie split up from their friends and went by their count, sharing the last news on their lives since they are going to different colleges.
Shauna licks her chocolate ice cream, walking by the promenade. Jackie ranting by her side eating her vanilla ice cream.
"That's Y/N?" Jackie interrupted, her eyes focusing in the distance. Shauna followed her eyes and saw not far away Y/N sitting in a bench with Taissa braiding her hair.
They walked towards the pair, waving to an enthusiastic Y/N waving at them. Jackie grabbed her chin and pecked her cheek, offering her ice cream at her.
"No, thank you."
Shauna sat down next to her, Jackie sat down on her lap. She is not bothered by it, actually she is used to this gesture. She remembers when Y/N told her about the bet before and leaned on her ear, muttering something about the piercing. Jackie looks at her with that innocent doe eyes, shrugging.
Y/N has a few strands of hair braided, thanks to Taissa. Shauna's glued on Y/N's profile while the other three started a conversation, she decided to listen to them. This time, Y/N had her cheeks burned from the other day, thanks to Jackie it kept at bay. Her grin warming her chest with every reply Y/N made, always with illusion or loving explaining something at them that they don't know. It doesn't matter how dumb the question is, Y/N never would reply with a bad word.
"Nat and Van went to that pub." Taissa informed them once she finished braid Y/N's hair.
"I want to go to Marco's library." Y/N says, standing up and walking towards the place without receiving a reply from them.
Shauna muttered at them that she goes with Y/N, wanting some new books too. Jackie nodded more relaxed this time. It's funny, the only one challenging Y/N to wake up and she is the first worried about her going alone. The ginger steps quickly to Y/N side, throwing the napkin in the trash.
They walked in, Y/N walking mindlessly through the shelves of books until she reached her destination, romantic novels. Shauna bit the inside of her cheek and wandered to the horror one, the smell of lavender mixed with cinnamon relaxing her.
When Shauna grabbed a book to read the inside cover, to the other side was Y/N with a few books on her hands, a brief frown on her eyebrows. She didn't know why that simple sight made Shauna's heartbeat accelerate. It's the contrast of the white dress with her sun kissed skin, eyes' colour accentuating, plump lips, long eyelashes, or her cute braids on her salt hair? She can't put a finger on it, but feeling attracted to Y/N, it definitely wasn't on her plans for that summer.
"Do you see something interesting?" Lottie startled her, giving a little jump on her spot.
"You scared me." Shauna muttered, glaring at her.
Lottie apologizes, a smirk on her lips. The tall brunette wandered between the shelves, a few books in a hand. Shauna grabbed the book she wanted to read from the past month and followed Lottie, who now is with Y/N.
"I don't know, Lot. I want this, but maybe I could buy it next time." Y/N said, letting saying book again on their place.
She walked to the cash register, Shauna bit her lip and quit off from Lottie's hands the book Y/N left behind a few moments.
"Are you sure?" Lottie asked behind her. However Shauna ignored her and positioned herself behind Y/N to pay.
Once their visit to Lake Key was over, they decided to make dinner and stay there to party, gathering in the living room in a circle. Natalie prepared them their drinks, slowly sipping on it while they chatted.
Until Jackie cleared her throat. "Guys! I want to play a game. What about a simple one, truth or dare?" She proposed, giving a big sip from her ron with coke.
After bickering for a while, they agreed.
"Okay. You go first." Natalie points with her finger at Jackie.
The blonde shrugs, agreeing with it. She chose dare, and Natalie made her swim naked in the pool. Jackie accepted and quit off her clothes while walking outside, their friends laughing with her.
"Alright! I did it, it's my turn to choose." Jackie says with a towel around her body and sitting on the floor. A smirk on her face. "I chose Y/N."
And it made sense for all of them, -less Y/N- why Jackie wanted to play it.
"It's simple. Go to my bedroom and on top of my bed you find what you need to do." Jackie indicated when Y/N chose dare.
Shauna gave her a questioning look, but Jackie ignored her with the same smirk plastered the whole time. They waited a few minutes there waiting for Y/N to come back, chatting animatedly.
Y/N came back, however she changed her clothes. Now she is wearing a red bikini, but a short cover of the full piece. Her demeanor turned shy, chewing her lip nervously.
"Show us!" Jackie exclaimed, clapping with her hands excited.
The silence made in the room once Y/N took off her shorts, turning on heels to them to appreciate the small piece of clothes. Shauna opened her mouth, her pupils dilating from the sight in front of her. She gave a big sip from her drink when felt her mouth dry, the first to speak was Jackie.
"Nice ass, girl!" She cheered her.
Natalie licked her lips, still processing how hot her friend looks. She looked around her, their faces one by one and less Jackie, all of them seemed affected by it.
"That's a dare?" Natalie muttered, trying to play cool.
Jackie glares at her, crossing her arms. "Yes. For Y/N is a good dare, shut up."
"I agree." Van lowly said, their blue eyes dilated and their freckles hiding by a shadow of pink on their cheeks.
"Wait... Is that a piercing?" Taissa frowned, noticing it when her eyes landed on Y/N's chest.
Shauna moves a little uncomfortable, their reactions were immediate, well from the three ones who don't know. Inevitably her eyes fell on Y/N's ass, the heat sprayed inside her body. She made a messy bun, hearing their friends reactions.
"Van knew it." Taissa spoke again, noticing the lack of participation on this.
The redhead guilty shrugged. "I did. She told me the other day."
Y/N put on her shorts again and sat down where she was before, between Lottie and Laura Lee.
The game ended quickly, moving to dance on the improvised dance floor in the living room or the back garden. Usually Shauna hates something related to parties, but these moments, where are her and her friends, she treasures them. Lottie and Laura Lee were talking on the couch, next to a Natalie affected by Y/N revelation, who was happily dancing with her. Shauna drinks in a bar stool while Jackie is making some snacks for them. Van and Taissa chat quietly in a corner with silly smiles on their faces.
Two hours later, Shauna flies behind a giggling Y/N to their shared room. They are the first ones to call it a night, Shauna feels a little relaxed but with her senses intact, while Y/N looks more intoxicated than her.
Once in their respective bed, Shauna hears how her friend can't stop moving. "What's the problem?" She rasped out, her eyes looking in her direction in vain, the darkness didn't let her see properly.
"It sting a little..." Y/N slurred out.
Shauna frowned, but soon understood what she meant. "Then, quit it off." She suggested.
A few seconds later she heard something dropping on the floor followed by a relief sigh. Shauna turned her head, and even if she couldn't see her, she could appreciate her silhouette and it made her jaw clench. Why? Why can't she see her properly why is it turning her on? Maybe it is because she knew about the piercing and it excited her? Shauna groans, now her turn to move on her bed, finding the room very hot right now.
She didn't know when she left herself asleep, but when Shauna opened her eyes, the sun hit directly on her face, the dizziness on her head didn't help at all. She grunts, with her eyes half opened and walks towards the bathroom, noticing the empty bed on her way there.
Shauna takes a short shower, even if she probably would throw herself in the pool, however she didn't want to smell sweaty. She put on her black bikini and put on an old grey sporty shorts and went downstairs, no one was there.
She checked the back garden and there was Y/N, having some breakfast. The girl noticed her and waved, calling with her hand to go there.
"I made breakfast for all, but I'm guessing they would wake up after lunch. That is soon..." Y/N poured coffee in a cup and offered it at Shauna.
"Thanks..." She kindly says, taking it and sitting next to her. She notices the book she bought for her last day, remembering with a smile how Y/N kissed her face and muttering how much she loves her. "You like it?"
"I love it! Amanda is so brave. I wish I could be like her." Y/N commented, biting her toast and continued to read.
"You are brave." Shauna lowly said, sipping from the cup and looking at her.
Y/N gifted her with a warm smile, putting a hand on her forearm. "You are nice. But I'm not. You are brave or Van. But not me."
Shauna frowned, not liking how Y/N talked about herself. "I wish I could see people like you. Or believe everyone is good." She states, grabbing the hand on her forearm between her hands. "You are not afraid of telling them how you feel. I remember when you fought with Jackie in the last year of high school because she mocked Arnold Phillips and you defended him. I was thrilled and she did too." She saw how her cheeks darkened. Shauna appreciates the little messy braids, it even looks better now, she mindlessly puts away a strand of hair, a fond smile when Y/N shrinks because it feels ticklish when her fingertips brushed her neck.
Shauna can't stop looking at her, her hand placing now on her back and caressing it carefully. She leaned on the table, getting closer to her. Y/N brought a hand to her cheek and brushed her thumb there, actually she wiped something there.
"Better." Y/N murmurs, her eyes meeting her brown ones. Shauna swallowed and slowly leaned on her, stopping when their noses brushed with each other. It surprises her when Y/N grabs her face between her hands and kisses her.
It's short but gentle. Shauna chases her a second later, not containing herself and introducing her tongue on Y/N's mouth, exploring and dominating. Her hands were placed on her hips in a firm grip, leaning her head aside to kiss her better. Their lungs burned, making them separate to catch air.
Shauna trailed kisses on her jaw, sneaking a hand under the yellowjackets' shirt she is wearing, caressing her skin. She stopped when Y/N let out a moan, her gaze finding her face.
"Stop looking at me like that... Your stare is deep." Y/N murmurs, looking somewhere else, avoiding her gaze.
The ginger bit her lip, kissing her cheek and separating from her. Bringing her hand out of her shirt and deciding to finish her breakfast.
"You are beautiful, it's not my fault." Shauna replied confidently.
"Shauna!" Y/N whined, making her laugh.
A grunt from behind made them look that direction, seeing a zombie Natalie stepping slowly towards them. She greeted them quietly, pouring an orange juice in a cup and grabbing a croissant.
"You look horrible." Y/N commented, Shauna held her laugh when Natalie glared at her.
"Sorry, miss perfect. Next time I guard you, then I can avoid being the next day like this." She ironically said, signaling herself.
Shauna closed her eyes, the sun kissing her exposed skin and luring her. Natalie commented on them what happened after they left, laughing when Jackie fell or Van hit their face with the glass window.
"Sunscreen." Someone said, something fell on Shauna's lap. The ginger opened her eyes and looked at it and the person who threw it, Charlotte Matthews. "You are matching your hair by now."
Y/N snorted, hiding her mouth with a hand. Lottie wink at her, grabbing some fruit. Shauna poked her finger on her neck and saw how she shrank, giggling and putting away her hand.
They all agreed to spend the day at the beach, to Y/N and Nat's idea. They swim, sunbathing while they relax and play volleyball. Shauna's mind was a spiral, thinking about the kiss she shared with her friend, a friend she thought never saw like something else. The best part? Shauna wants to kiss her again, and wrap her arms around her waist to be nearer her, maybe her hands sneaking to her ass and squeezing it, her lips trailing wet kisses on her neck while Y/N let out moans, like before, then-... Who's that guy? And why is he smirking at her in a flirty manner?
Shauna clenched her fist and stood up, stepping fast towards them and pushing that guy away from Y/N.
"Stay away from her." Shauna scowled with a fierce gaze, putting herself in front of Y/N.
"Shauna! He is a nice boy, stop." Y/N threw the volleyball's ball and helped the blonde guy up.
It infuriated Shauna. "He wants to get on your pants, Y/N!" She gritted, her brown eyes throwing daggers at the innocent blonde boy.
Of course when they went to the beach and Y/N decided to wear what Jackie gifted her last night, some stupid guy should approach.
Fuck Jackie and fuck that guy.
Shauna saw how Y/N removed her gaze from her, her cheeks turning a soft shadow of pink. She felt bad to speak to her like that, usually she would use other words.
"I'm talking with her. That's all, relax." He said in a gentle tone, raising both hands in the air. However Shauna knew better, years being Jackie's best friend teach her experience with the opposite gender. And that guy, wants something else than talking with Y/N.
Shauna gave a sarcastic smile, but before she could give a sardonic comment, Natalie showed up, Lottie behind her with Jackie.
"What happened?" Natalie asks looking at her friends, then her blue eyes notice the blonde guy, making her frown. "Who are you?"
Jackie puts herself next to Shauna, crossing her arms on her chest, while Lottie grabs Y/N's hand, bringing her with hers.
"I'm Neil, nice to meet you." He said, waving with a nervous smile. Shauna snorted mentally, he didn't look like that before.
"Hi, Neil." Natalie said in a fake nice voice, walking towards the tall guy, with every step letting a mark of humid footprint on the sand. "Stay away from her." She patted his shoulder with a low laugh, signaling towards Y/N. "I know the guys like you. Out."
Neil bit his lip, his eyes falling on Y/N. Then, he gave a quiet laugh, his demeanor changing completely. "You all can't be protecting her forever." He muttered, a smug smirk playing on his lips before he turned on his heels and walked out.
Jackie held Natalie's wrist, the same with Shauna. "Stop! That stupid is gone." She murmurs, pushing them both to where they are.
Shauna's eyes fell on Y/N, who is with Lottie. She left behind the bickering that Jackie and Natalie started and grabbed her wrist kindly, stopping their friends.
"Can I talk to you?" Shauna timid asks. Y/N nods slowly, Lottie let them some privacy walking back to her place on the towel. The ginger took her to the seashore, this time her hand intertwined with Y/N's one, playing with her fingers. "I'm sorry to say that." She started, looking at her surroundings. "I don't like the way he was looking at you and... I should let you choose if you want to talk with him or not." She finishes, knowing very well that she will interfere if some dude tries something with her.
Y/N caressed the palm of her hand with her thumb. "Are you jealous?" She hummed, stepping closer.
Shauna frowned, her gaze now on her smug eyes. "No. I'm not. I only... I want the best for you. That's all." She said, shrugging her shoulders.
Why does Y/N think she is jealous? I mean, Natalie acted like her too, is she jealous too? Shauna let out a scoff for this thought.
"I'm jealous." Y/N admitted in a calm tone.
This confession made her feel more confused. "Why?" She can't hide her stupor.
"I saw a few boys looking at you. Your ass. They eat you with his eyes. I don't like it." Y/N explained, her turn to shrug her shoulders.
Shauna relaxed. She didn't notice their eyes on her, thankfully. But she notices the only one on Y/N, and maybe, just maybe, Shauna felt the same.
"You don't need to worry. I'm not interested in them." Shauna whispers, letting her hand out but embracing her waist with an arm and hiding her head on her neck. She feels how Y/N relaxed on her arms and wrapped hers on her neck, playing with her hair.
"I want to kiss you..." Y/N shyly said, a lipped smile on her face when Shauna fixed her chocolate eyes on her.
"I can make an excuse and go home and kiss." Shauna offered, hearing how Y/N let out a melodic laugh, inevitably painting an involuntary smile on her face.
•••
It's been three days since Shauna and Y/N kissed for the first time. Three days that they can't stop kissing. They shared this affection where they are alone in their room, away from their friends or when they are around them, when they aren't looking Y/N stole a kiss from her lips, letting Shauna speechless.
A sigh hit Shauna's face when she separated from her bruised and red lips. Her fingers caressed her cheek and removed a strand of hair from her face, giggling softly while memorizing her features for later fantasizing with her or rant on her journal about how Y/N makes her feel.
They are laying on Shauna's bed, the rays of the full moon hitting Y/N's face, it's time like this Shauna doesn't hate that window. Y/N's hand is playing with her ginger hair, pulling at it every time Shauna bit her lip or sucked her tongue.
"Are you fine there?" Shauna hummed with a hoarse voice, brushing her nose with hers. She can avoid hiding her smugness.
They don't trespass to the other step. It's not like Shauna didn't think about it, it's mainly for Y/N, she didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable, so she happily accepts it.
"Here is hot..." She whispered, with a hand fan herself.
"The window is open." Shauna commented, looking briefly at the window.
"Shauna." Y/N calls her in a soft voice, the mentioned turned to look at her. "Do you feel attracted to me?" Shauna could appreciate how shy Y/N asked this.
"Y/N, I can't stop thinking about you. It's weird to say it loudly, but you are in my mind a lot." Shauna admitted, the burn on cheeks got a bay thanks to Jackie or Lottie to put sunscreen on. But she can feel the warmth on her cheeks just like if that same afternoon she burned all over again.
"You are in my mind too, Shippy. It's funny to think now how intimidated I felt about you in high school." Shauna frowned. Y/N saw her and immediately clarified. "You are hard to let people in, always attached to Jackie and I told you about it before, your gaze is so deep that I feared you could know what I'm thinking."
"That's why you nodded or gave me a short answer?" Shauna asks quietly, now understanding a few things. Y/N hummed an affirmative. "You are right, I don't let people know me easily. But I never would treat you or let anyone talk to you badly. I... We fought with some asshole to defend you. Don't ask and think about them, they are stupid." Shauna says quickly after her confession. "Why do you ask about me that...?" She tried to change the subject, also mostly for curiosity.
"I want to have sex with you." Shauna sometimes forgets how direct she is. Her blush deepens, gladly the dark hides her cheeks.
But it surprises her how natural she said it, and it made her think about it. "Have you had sex before?" She asks, it's the first time she actually thinks Y/N had sex before, she wondered about it but soon dismissed it.
Y/N nods, moving her head to a side. "Why you ask?" Shauna stares at her shocked, her mouth half open and holding her breath. Y/N roll her eyes, it didn't surprise her Shauna having that reaction, it's the same Van had when she told them. "I know that you all think I'm innocent, something I will not discuss... But I'm curious too."
"Sorry..." She apologised, breathing normally again. She blinked a few times, questions popping on her head. "Who? I mean, I know him?" She asks in a low voice.
"No, he is a college friend."
Shauna nods, laying fully by her side. She huffed, rubbing her eyes. "I need to ask it." She said, putting her hands down and fixing her eyes on her, seeing her curious eyes on her. "Did you do it because you wanted?"
"Yeah... I never would do something I don't want." This answer calmed Shauna, thankful Y/N didn't feel social pressure and did it for that.
"Can we go to sleep?" Shauna murmurs, feeling tired. Y/N hummed with a small smile, she kissed Shauna's cheek and proceeded to stand up, but the ginger stopped her, wrapping an arm now on her waist. "Stay here."
They fell asleep with Shauna hugging Y/N, many thoughts in her mind, dissipate when the other started to play with her hair, something Y/N likes and she didn't complain.
The next morning when they woke up and got downstairs, too quiet and finding a note in the fridge.
"We are at the beach, see you there. Jackie xx." Y/N read out loud. "And why didn't they wake up us? I would do it. You know what? I don't feel like going to the beach, if you want to go, have fun." She said in an adorable piss voice, in Shauna's opinion. She walked around and started to make breakfast.
"I like your idea. What do you want to do?" Shauna hummed, going to hug her from behind and kissing her shoulder.
Y/N looks up, thinking. "I want to go eat ice cream in Lake Key. Tomorrow we will get stuck here doing our suitcases and cleaning the house."
On Friday, they all would go to Wiskayok and finish the summer there before coming back to their respective colleges.
Shauna removed her hair aside, peppering kisses on her neck. "I like that." She just wants to spend some time alone with her before they come back.
So that's what they did. After finishing breakfast they changed their clothes and adventure to the small town. It's weird how freely they felt with every shared kiss without worry if someone saw them and judged. It helps that the only way is a solitary dirt road, nobody lives for that area, only the Matthews' family.
They let out their intertwined hands once they entered the town, exploring some places that they never went to before or just walking while laughing for anything. They agreed to eat the ice cream after lunch, for Shauna's luck because she made a little picnic, surprising Y/N.
It's the soft laugh that Y/N let out when Shauna awakened from her mind, too entrance on studying every feature, line and simple detail on Y/N's face that she zoned out. Shauna left the throwable plate on the grass, clearing her throat.
"Have a date with me." Shauna blurted out, mostly because she was rephrasing it in her mind and it slipped out. She blushes the moment she realizes how she asked this. Exchange Y/N raised her head and slowly formed a smile. "What I want to say is that... I thought about us, and I want to go on a proper date with you, if you want of course."
Y/N put her hand on top of hers. "I love to."
"Really?" Shauna asked, a little speechless. Y/N giggles by her reaction, nodding with her head. "You don't would regret it, I promise." She reassured her, carefully intertwining their fingers.
After they finished, Shauna stubbornly paid for their ice cream. They eat it while they walk towards the house, holding hands the moment they step out of the town. Laughs filled the way, ice cream kisses and rosy cheeks.
Shauna let her hand once they approached the fence, opening the doors and letting Y/N pass first. They come back and the house is still empty.
"I want to lay on the sofa, my feet hurt." Y/N commented, letting her bag on the coat stand and laying down in the black couch.
"Come here, I'll take you upstairs." Shauna offered, opening her arms for her to jump.
Y/N let out a delighted sound and jumped on her arms, wrapping her legs on her waist and both arms around her shoulders, leaning her head there too. Shauna held her and walked towards their bedroom, laying Y/N on her bed carefully and getting on top of her when Y/N grabbed her t-shirt and pulled Shauna towards hers.
With only a look, Shauna knew what Y/N wanted. She wants it too, if she is being honest, but what happens if their friends come and surprise them by doing it?
"Are you sure?" Shauna asks in a gentle whisper, her hair coming to her eyes and private to her to keep gazing Y/N, until this one removes with her fingers the strand of hair out. Her hands are too busy supporting her weight on the mattress.
"Very sure." Y/N whispered back, closing the distance and smashing her lips on hers.
Shauna let out a low moan, reciprocating it and soon turning in a hungry kiss. A hand sneaks under her baby blue shirt, slowly tracing her abdomen until reach her chest, squeezing with the bra on, feeling the piercing there. She grunted on the kiss when she felt it, breaking the kiss and taking off her shirt, delighted by the views.
Y/N pulls Shauna's shirt, making the ginger to raise her arms up, letting Y/N take it out. Her brown eyes admired how Y/N held her breath when her gaze met her abdomen, a smirk creeping on her face. A finger traced her stomach, gently scratching her abs.
"I think we have some weaknesses..." Shauna rasped out, chuckling.
"You kept playing soccer?"
Shauna nods. "Yeah. Casually my first friends played soccer and they created a team, like a hobby. I don't mind play there sometime." She explains.
Y/N's fingers get lost on her hair, pressing her head towards hers and starting another kiss. They slowly took out their clothes, Shauna's mouth went immediately on Y/N's chest, no resistance anymore and took her left nipple on her mouth, biting there and tasting the metal too, gaining a whimper by Y/N and her nails digging on her shoulders.
Shauna spent a long time there, when she got satisfied, admiring the new red marks and saliva covered on Y/N's chest, with her red lips peppered wet kisses until reach her mouth, giving her a languid kiss.
After they need to breathe again, Shauna takes advantage when Y/N still has her eyes closed and slowly sneaks her right hand between her thighs, soon meeting how wet Y/N is between her fingers. The ginger let out a groan, her dilated brown eyes catching sight of -now half open- Y/N's eyes and reddened cheeks. While they keep gazing at each other, her hand meets Y/N's entrance and without warning introducing a finger, grunting when she notices how tight she is.
Her nails digged on her shoulders once again, making Shauna let out a hiss of pain. A soft sound escaped from Y/N's mouth, once she felt comfortable with her finger inside of her, Shauna started to move it slowly while her thumb rubbed circles, creating more sounds slipping from her mouth, making Shauna drunk hearing them.
Another finger was introduced, her movements becoming faster and the first moans echoing in the room. Shauna involuntarily starts to move her hips in search of some friction, the wetness on her center increasing. The sweat on their bodies is more present, their hair stinging on their faces, framing their faces in a sexy form. With three fingers inside Y/N, her orgasm is near.
Shauna gave her a wet kiss, unable to control. Y/N came on her fingers, muffling her orgasm in her mouth. Their chest moved in sync, their lungs asking for air. The ginger took her hand out of her, the free one on top of Y/N's knee while slowly, her right one approaches her vision, the smell hitting her nose. After a few seconds where her eyes stuck looking at her hand, she took it to her mouth, a porn sound slipped from her mouth the moment her fingers met her tongue, testing Y/N. Her eyes rolled behind her head, her tongue wrapping her fingers and sucking slowly, testing every fluid.
When she opened them again, was met by hypnotised eyes gazing at her, biting her lip. Shauna let out a small smirk, putting down her now clean hand. Before she could make a comment, Y/N changed their positions, now Shauna is laying her back on the mattress and Y/N is straddling her. Shauna put both hands on her knees, caressing them, gazing at Y/N from a new angle. Her eyes fell from her marked chest to her half hidden shaved pussy, meeting her stomach side.
"Promise me something." Y/N said in a scratchy voice, calling her attention.
Shauna nods, captivated by her beauty. "Anything."
Y/N gave her a small grin, leaning her head to the same level as her, lowering it a few centimeters. "Don't dye your hair. I love how this colour looks on you... It matches your eyes, making them have a deeper look, if that is possible..." She ranted, admiring her ginger hair sprayed out on the pillow in soft waves. "You look good too with your natural colour hair, but this one... I really like it." She finishes in a low voice.
"I promise you that I will have it for a long time from now on." Shauna said with a cheeky smile, knowing very well that she would be stuck with that hair colour only for her. Then, she put a hand on her back neck and pushed her face towards hers, sealing the promise with a passionate kiss.
When Y/N moved her hips involuntarily, Shauna felt a patch of wetness on her abdomen, and groaning by this, she took both hands on her waist in a firm grip, probably letting some bruises there, and slowly pushed her a little, making friction on her sensitive spot.
"Can I...?" Y/N whispered, timid.
Shauna removed her hair from her face and nodded, after all she incite to do it. "You can ride my abs." She said in a deep voice, hearing the strong breathing falling from her lover's lips.
And she did it, up and down, at first with slow movements. It will become faster soon, Shauna is delighted by the sight in front of her. She clenched her abs when noticed Y/N was coming, with her head back and both hands on Shauna's sides. Y/N gave a final thrust, screaming for pleasure and falling on top of her, exhausted.
Shauna caressed her back tenderly, feeling a warm liquid fell on her stomach. She swallowed hard, she felt a little frustrated sexually talking. Shauna thought that watching Y/N had her pleasure, she didn't need it now, but... She is wrong. She let Y/N recover her breath, playing with her hair without the necessity to use words.
Y/N hummed contents, peppering kisses on her naked shoulder until her neck, biting gently there, gaining a low moan from Shauna. Her nails scratched Y/N's thigh, a loud hiss slipped from their mouths. Shauna observed when Y/N slowly started to go down, she paid attention to her chest, but not staying too much time there, preferring to bite her stomach a few times.
"I'm not shave..." Shauna said panting, a little embarrassed. Y/N raised her head frowning, seeing how Shauna closed her eyes, her cheeks turning more red.
"I don't care, Shippy." Y/N snorted innocent. It made Shauna open her eyes, seeing a brief frown on Y/N's eyebrows. "And I think if you shave now, you would cut yourself." She said looking down, the face she put on made Shauna relax and chuckle.
Y/N bit her lip and looked at Shauna, asking with her eyes. The ginger nods, her breathing stuck on her throat, but not keeping her eyes away from her. Y/N give her some wet mouthed kisses on her thigh, getting closer. Shauna opened her legs more to let Y/N put herself between knees, and her mouth immediately met her center, giving a long lick. Shauna let out a moan, biting her lip and scratching the pillow next to her. She can feel Y/N's nails on her thighs, her tongue getting deep inside her and recollecting the wetness she had from seeing Y/N cum two times.
A hand squeezed her chest, hard. If the moment doesn't require her to think, she would ask how in hell Y/N is doing it so well. Shauna is close, she is worked up and her orgasm is approaching, with hand on Y/N's head, pressing her face on the exact part where she wants and with the room filling her moans, Shauna released on her mouth with a guttural moan, her legs shaking.
With half open eyes and an irregular breathing, Shauna saw Y/N's chin covered by her cum, her hair mess and sweat covering her body. She raised half of her body and grabbed her face between her hands, kissing hard.
"SHAUNA, Y/N! ARE YOU TWO HERE?" Jackie interrupted them. They shared a panicked look and soon they started to put on their clothes. For their luck Jackie was downstairs, at least they could be dissimulate, only if the blonde didn't get upstairs and entered there, then they screwed up.
"Go to the bathroom!" Shauna said in a low voice, putting on her big shirt. "I'm going to distract her. Get down for around 5 minutes." She explains, putting her hair in a messy bun.
Y/N nods, disappearing on say place.
Shauna stepped down and saw her friends there, embarrassed she waved them with a hand. "Hey, Y/N is in the bathroom." She cleared her throat, avoiding Jackie's hazel eyes and going to the kitchen for water, because she really needed it.
Jackie hummed, following her. "We were worried. I thought you two would come."
"Y/N didn't like you don't wake us up and we went to the town." She explains, shrugging and giving her an apologetic lipped smile.
"I told you..." Van walked next to Jackie and sang, letting some things on top of the countertop.
"Y/N! ARE YOU MAD AT ME?" Another person would wait to ask this face to face, but it's Jackie and she went to the top of the staircase, looking up to an empty hall.
"NOT ANYMORE!" Another scream was heard, Shauna shaking her head with a smirk while sip from the cup.
"DO YOU WANT TO COME TO THE MOVIES WITH ME AND I COMPENSATE YOU?" Jackie asked hopefully, even if her told her that she wasn't mad at her.
Y/N approaches her vision, she took a shower and now has a lilac top belonging to Shauna with a black shorts, a small smile resting on her lips. "Okay. I missed our dates." She can't resist and hugs Jackie.
"She is so weak. We need to make her stronger." Van commented with a frown, looking at them.
Shauna snorted. "Which one?"
•••
Summer passed faster, and Shauna knew it.
With dreamy eyes and a silly smile, she recounted every date she had with Y/N these past two months, her favourite one was when she asked Y/N to be her girlfriend and she said no because Y/N wanted to ask her to be her girlfriend. After discussing it for a few minutes, Shauna gave up the moment Y/N gave her puppy eyes.
She sneaked every night to Y/N's house, going to sleep together and fearing she couldn't do it the moment they couldn't hold each other when they came back to their respective colleges. Many hidden kisses, desire to do what they did that week in her friend's house, but they gave up every time they tried, and something or someone interrupted them, so they happily did other things.
Like talk. They can talk for hours. It's something that Shauna adored about their night laying on the bed, talking about anything in particular or knowing Y/N unknown's side. She comprehends her better, and mentally grateful for choosing her to share her secrets, her dream passion or just to not run away from her with her weird persona.
About their friends, well... They agreed to not tell them anything. Y/N commented at Shauna about telling them their relationship at the end of the summer, only if she wants too. Shauna nodded, unsure. She wishes that she was more like Y/N in that aspect, not fearing what people could say, and less with her friends, the ginger knew that they can't say anything bad. But they are in 1997, and until this date, Shauna saw hate about it.
"What are you thinking about?" Y/N interrupted her thoughts, balancing their hands while they walked to Shauna's car. They went to the woods to walk, enjoying some time alone. The night arrived and the hour to the meeting with their friends was approaching. Because they would tell them about their relationship.
"About... How beautiful you are." Shauna commented, holding her laugh when Y/N shoved her playful.
The nights in Wiskayok by this time of the year usually are breezy, and Shauna wears one of her famous flannel on, Y/N was wearing one of hers too because she was stubborn to not grab any jackets and luckily Shauna had one in her car.
The car approached their vision, Shauna wrapped an arm around Y/N's shoulders and gently opened the copilot door, gaining a kiss on her cheek the moment she sat down on her seat.
"We need to pick up Jackie." Y/N commented, searching for some songs she likes on the radio.
"Believe me, I know." Shauna rolled her eyes, used to her friend's princess side.
The ride to Jackie's home was filled with Y/N humming the song playing on the radio, Shauna tapped the wheel to the beat of the song, humming quietly too. She honked a few times when they arrived, praying that Jackie doesn't take too long.
Shauna put a hand on Y/N's knee, caressing the exposed skin with her thumb. Her brown eyes softened seeing her profile, her mind calming down the spiral that usually she is in.
"You sure about this?" The ginger, less now, but still glowing, asked. Y/N put a hand on hers and nod with a smile.
"Yeah. I want to kiss you in front of my friends. Our friends." Y/N whispered, playing with her fingers.
Shauna can't hold the smile anymore. "And I want to kiss you every hour... Is this sane?" She joked, leaning to kiss her cheek.
Y/N shakes her head, giggling.
Shauna removed her hand when she heard a door opening. She looked behind and saw Jackie Taylor get in, shivering a little and she had a jacket on.
"Put on the calefaction, Shauna." Jackie said, closing the door.
"Hello to you too, and not. I'm not going to put it. It's not that cold." Shauna said, starting the car. She heard how Jackie let out a gasp.
"Open the right seat, there is a blanket." Y/N commented before they could get entangled by another silly discussion.
Jackie says loudly how much she loves her, making Y/N laugh and Shauna rolled her eyes. They are approaching Lottie's house, the last reunion until Thanksgiving. They decided to spend their time together in a quiet place, and since Lottie's parents are out the major part of the time, she offered to hold the little party.
"The last ones!" Van opened the front door, putting them to a side to let them pass in. Y/N is the first one to hug the redhead, from the whole gang, Van and Y/N had a special bond.
Y/N let Shauna, Jackie and Van behind and she adventure into the big living room, usually quiet and empty, now filled with laughter and life.
"There you are!" Lottie saw her and stood up with a happy smile, engulfing Y/N in a hug. "I'm gonna miss you a lot." She whispered when they separated.
"I hope you miss us a lot too..." Natalie commented behind her, a teasing smirk on her plump lips. Then, she envelopes Y/N in a hug.
Lottie rolled her eyes. "Don't get jealous, Scatorccio. I will miss you too, less than the rest but still I'm going to miss you." Her dark eyes lit with mischief, taking her red cup to her mouth.
Before Nat could reply back, Taissa interrupted them by pushing the blue eyed girl to a side and taking her turn to hug Y/N. Shauna and Jackie approached there and greeted them with hugs too.
They sit down next to each other, recounting old anecdotes or telling the new ones. Shauna was quiet, hearing them and sipping from her red cup while her eyes travelled to the storyteller. Y/N nudges her side, giving her a silly face when she turns to look at her.
"You are an idiot." Shauna leaned on her ear and whispered with a loving smile.
Y/N makes an offended face, putting a hand on her chest. Shauna rolls her eyes, but her smile remains.
"I will remind you later when you want to kiss me..." She whispered in her ear, licking her lips when she separated.
Her brown eyes opened, big and deep. Without noticing she gave her puppy eyes, not liking the idea of not kissing her. Y/N couldn't resist her eyes and without thinking too much, she grabbed her chin and pecked her lips.
Shauna froze on her seat, the place getting quiet and feeling all eyes on them. She cleared her throat, her surprise eyes going to normal but refusing to look at them. Y/N frowned when she paid attention to them, at first confused but soon realising what she did.
"Oh my god! Shit, I'm sorry Shippy." Y/N apologised with her girlfriend.
"Shippy? She hates that. This is serious." Van was the first to comment.
Shauna looks at her redhead friend, frowning. "She is the only one who can call like that." She warned them.
Y/N saw their unreadable expressions and decided to clarify. "We are in a relationship." She told them.
"Are you corrupting her!?" Jackie exclaimed, a shock expression plastered on her face.
"She's not! And you started corrupting me." Y/N said. "We like each other and decided to date. We wanted to tell you tonight, in a different manner... I hope it's okay with you guys." She said softly, playing with her fingers.
"Me and Taissa are in a relationship." Van said casually, Taissa nodded next to them.
"We are too..." Lottie comments, giving a soft look to the blonde.
Shauna opened her mouth, surprised and Y/N painted a small smile. "So, all of us like women? We are cool then." Jackie says, all looks on her now. "What? I appreciate women too." She said shrugging, taking her red cup to her lips.
"We knew that. We thought in high school that you and Shauna were dating. When we found that you didn't then we assumed during college maybe you get together." Natalie explained in an obvious tone.
"I agree." Y/N says, receiving an incredulous look from her girlfriend. "You look cute together if that helps."
"She corrupted me." Shauna said, looking at all of them. Y/N calls her name in a whine, while their friends laugh.
The rest of the night they enjoyed their time together, explaining the new unknown sides and all of them gave a talk to Shauna.

My favourite thing is how we all watched the same show where Shauna spewed about being in Jackie's shadow and rushed to Tumblr and made their portmanteau couple name JackieShauna, with Shauna forever in the ass end of Jackie, living in her shadow and I think that's kind of hilarious of us.
