The Bet
Severus Snape x Fem Reader blurb
The smell of tea wafted in Mcgonnagal’s office as she, Dumbledore, and Y/n laughed at the latest possibility of Draco and Harry dating each other.
“Oh, please Minerva I can’t… my ribs are paining,” Y/n says trying to breathe through her laughs.
“Oh but it is true, you should come by my class and observe, the tension between those two is so thick sometimes”
Both women calmed down when Severus entered Minerva’s office and they started wheezing at his sight. “What is this all about?” he groaned.
“You owe me 30 galleons”
Dumbledore sighed and handed Minerva galleons as Severus took a seat beside Y/n who was resting her face on her palm. He looked at her confused as she rubbed her cheeks “are you alright?”
“Of course she is alright she married you” Minerva joked which led Y/n to cackle like a true witch.
“Ok tell me something new, this Harry and Draco shenanigan is getting quite old,” Dumbledore complained.
“Oh I heard that William and Amelia are stealing glances in the corridor” Y/n informs while Severus rolls his eyes. He doesn’t understand why his colleagues and his wife take interest in such trivial matters.
“Oh now that is an odd pair” Dumbledore says refilling his cup with tea.
“But I don’t think they will end up together I thought I saw her with Clancy” Severus added
There is a pin drop silence as the trio watches Severus as he takes a sip from Y/n’s cup
“She is in my class very sharp student, she has a lot of potential”
The trio watches him carefully as he continues to sip tea.
“And how do you know about Clancy and Amelia, love?”
“Just because gossips don’t interest me doesn’t mean I am not informed”
“No, I think you are wrong Severus I think Amelia and William will end up together” Minerva added
Severus looked at the trio smugly “You will see”

The next day Y/n was walking to her next class when Severus tapped her shoulder.
“What?”
He smiled at her “First of all you look so beautiful today”
She blushed “Aww Sev thank you”
He got closed to her “and you owe me 30 galleons”
She looked at him with confusion. He held her waist and pointed her towards an empty courtyard where Amelia and Clancy snogging eachother. They looked like a beautiful couple but they made her lose 30 galleons.
“Come on darling I have earned my winnings from the other two and only you are left”
She made a puppy face and batted her lashes at him “oh Sev you won’t take money from your lovely wife would you?”
Severus got closer to her and brushed his lips against her “yes I will” he extended his hand smirking as he saw her take money out of her pouch.
He counted the galleons and Y/n gasped “are you serious?”
Severus shrugged “just making sure love” he kissed on her lips.
“You have to admit I am always right” he smirked at her
“You are sleeping on the couch”
He teased her back “Are you going to join me?”
“No” she replied him with a teasing smile which caused him to tickle her.
“Ok I wil… stop please.. Please”
He held her face tenderly and kissed her with all his passion “I think we are the best couple don’t you think?”
She booped his nose “the best” she said kissing him again

Happy Crimus! Some siat teacher shenanigans?
Severus walks into the teacher's lounge to see everyone crowded around a long strip of parchment next to a pile of galleons and considers walking right back out.
"SEVERUS!" Filius shouts. He's so small and his lungs are so large. It almost reminds him of Lily. "Come here, come here, you have to get your bets in now."
"I really don't care to participate," he says, the same as he does every year.
Minerva ignores him, as she also does every year. "How many detentions for the Weasleys?"
"Individually or cumulatively?" he asks.
"Cumulatively, of course," Sinestra scoffs. "I've put ten galleons on Silva blasting off the door to your classroom by Yule, by the way."
A fool's bet. He'll be lucky if ze doesn't do that by the end of the first week. "Seventy cumulatively. Detentions for the twins count as two each, not one."

Snape ask, question 1 and 9
Thank you for the ask!
1.) Do you have a snOTP? What is it?
I am a sucker for Snirius/Snack/Starprince/whatever combo you like to use to describe shipping Severus Snape with Sirius Black (for a given value of shipping; I’m a big fan of silliness and chaos and shenanigans).
I personally like to ship them when they’re acting like a dramatic pair of scenery-chewing thrice(+) divorced unhinged disasters for whom a best friend (that is, Lily for Sev and James for Sirius) rather than a romantic (-ish? No one outside of them is entirely certain) partner is/was the most important person in their life. Like, their broken pieces don’t match up (more often their shattered edges grate against one another) but at least they sort of rhyme and no one is asking them to walk on the eggshells of gentle politeness or trying to treat them like they’re made of spun sugar ready to fall apart. Maybe the flavor I like can be described as old fr/enemies with/for (tax) benefits.
Mostly, I want to watch them (attempt to) co-parent Harry (to Harry’s mild distress and extreme bafflement).
As for snOT3s, I do enjoy Jevily and Snucissa for different flavors of interaction too.
9.) What are your personal headcanons on Snape's diet and favourite foods?
He’d live off spite and coffee and the occasional boiled brassica (for fiber and vitamins) if left to his own devices. Also, most potions ingredients are at least eatable if not entirely palatable; so he’d probably be getting some protein in that way.
At Hogwarts he probably at least picks away at a well-balanced meal because Minerva and Pomona and Poppy and Albus are all at the same table watching him and being fussed at is annoying. At Spinner’s End I can see him getting fish and chips on the regular (I think he can cook, he just doesn’t bother to cook if it would only feed himself). I also like to think the Malfoys haul him out of Spinner’s End every summer and host him at their manor for a few weeks where they can make sure he’s eating something other than manufactured muggle junk food (and attempt to keep him in touch with their idea of the right sort of people and society).
As for favorite foods, I think he has a sweet tooth; I like to think he had a habit of “obtaining” parma violets and scrumping apples as a kid (maybe he had to steal what little sweetness he could get as a kid). Also, as an adult, he can deny himself dessert as an easy/stealthy method of self-punishment even Minerva might miss.

Sev = Small Child; Severus = Teen; Snape = Adult
The comedy that is trying to child-proof one's magical rooms for a child/teen fascinated by magic because Sev/Severus is going to want to touch all the things once it's clear that Snape is not going to hit him/them like his/their parents probably would do. That icky thing floating in a glass jar that hella cool? Touch. Any potion items? Touch. Dark Art Books that probably bite and/or demand blood to open them? Touch. That scalding hot cup of tea on the table? Touch. The floo powder on the mantel? Touch AND throw in the fireplace AND EXPLORE!!! Snape thinks he has everything locked down, but they just keep finding new trouble!
Snape makes smaller robes for Sev and Severus by shrinking some of his own, but Sev finds them too restrictive; Sev just wears Snape's normal clothes, if he wakes up first and refuses to change into the properly sized robes. The robe is too long to billow, so it slithers after Sev along the floor. Arseholes (because there's always at least one fucker whose a dick to even small children) step on his robe-train; Snape chews them out (with more vitriol than he's ever put into a chewing out before), assigns them detention for the rest of the year, and demands expulsion. When he finally calms down, he doesn't know how to comfort Sev; he charms the excess robe to float and billow, but Sev stops wearing them and starts wearing the shrunk robes the next day. It's a long while before Sev tries wearing the over-sized robes again.
Sev tries to help with grading the students' assignments, but he doesn't know anything yet; Snape lets him write on the ones he's already marked as a "Troll". Severus actually understands some things, so he grades the 1st/2nd/3rd years' assignments.
Severus and Snape scoff at potion journal entries together; Sev doesn't know much about potions, but scoffs also in solidarity.
Severus and Snape butt heads about the DEs and Dark Arts; Snape is trying to keep Severus away from it, but Severus doesn't see what's wrong with it. Severus calls them both 'mudblood' in the heat of a moment, and Snape snaps at him to "never use that word", and accidentally alters the timeline when Severus is sent back.
Encouraged by Hagrid, Sev tries to pet things he should not, like Mrs. Norris, Minerva, Fawkes, and the Hogwarts' Ghosts.
Snape supplies Severus with ingredients from the potion stores to keep Severus from sneaking off into the Forbidden Forest or the Greenhouses to go foraging.
All three sit at the Head Table during meals. They have to sit at the end so Sev and Severus can wrap around the end without obscuring Snape's view of the room. None of them eat enough.
Students keep giving Sev candy and Zonko's items when Snape is not looking.
Severus has to still attend classes, which includes potions; he is actually the best in the class (it is not favoritism) - bonus points if he's the same year as the Golden Trio and develops a rivalry with Hermione.
Speaking of teen Snape in the Golden Trio era:
Severus being hyperaware of Harry at all times because he looks too much like James, despite the eyes. Sometimes, he forgets Harry is not James, and the only thing that snaps him out of it is the fact Black, Lupin and Pettigrew are replaced with Weasley, Granger, and Longbottom.
Severus mentions Lily one time, and now Harry will not leave him alone with all these questions; Snape is upset to learn about this situation and tries to deter Harry.
Severus mistakes Ginny for Lily; this is how he (and Sev) ends up befriending Ginny and Luna, much to everyone's shock. Similarly, Severus keeps mistaking Draco for Lucius (with a haircut).

I haven't seen many sibling-dynamic Severus and Harry works, have you?
I'm a sucker for a good Severitus, but my heart belongs to chaos and shenanigans and silliness (and sibling squabbling can delivery on that quite readily). So I enjoy the idea of an early 20's Severus who regularly gets into (and loses by dint of being involved) ultra-petty arguments with sassy toddler!Harry/Harriet (who 100% says "Oh, for fuck's sake" with a very strong Scottish accent thus belying Minerva's claim that Severus is the primary bad influence). Severus is also the person who gets suckered into assisting with animal rehab since Fang doesn't like sharing Hagrid's Hut more than necessary. There's that one poor starving puppy (given the understanding that all dogs are puppies forever) that shows up sometime in third-year that can't just be left out in the woods to freeze-!

MY MAN!!!! MY DUDE!!!! IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY (MONTH)!!! CAN I ASK FOR SOME SIAT PROFESSORS SHENANIGANS?
On top of being several decades younger than the other heads of house, Severus is taking up both that and the potions position just a handful of years after graduating and had been taught by all of them. That's not even touching what they believe he did during the war.
He's expecting their relationship to be even worse than it was when he was a student. In spite of his grades, he'd never really gotten along with any of them.
"McGonagall," he greets stiffly when he meets her in the hall, wearing robes too stiff and new to feel comfortable in.
Death ends an Unbreakable Vow. He doesn't have to do this.
She stares at him for a long moment then a smile breaks out across her face. He hadn't known she could smile. "Severus, really, call me Minerva. We're colleagues."
He looks around suspiciously. James and Pettigrew are dead and Black is Azkaban. He supposes it could be Lupin.
"Stop that," she says and his frown deepens. "Want to get a drink? Filius is around, although Pomona is a little busy at the moment. We told her putting Skelegrow in the Devil's Snare was a bad idea."
"I told her it was a bad idea," Flitwick says as he rounds the corner, like he's been summoned just by McGonagall - er, Minerva mentioning him. "You encouraged her. This is your fault."
Minerva ignores him. "Are we going to Hogsmede proper or just drinking in the kitchens? It's summer, it's not like we have to worry about the students."
"Hagrid's moonshine?" Filius says. "He said he's just made a new batch."
Hagrid's what?
"We can do better than that," he says. There's a reason he'd never had to bribe Rosmerta for alcohol.
He brews a sweet tasting liquor strong enough that Flitwick starts coughing at the first sip while Minerva's eyes just light up. Sprout joins them later leaves and teeth stuck in her hair and she picks up the cauldron and starts drinking without even asking what it is.
Maybe this won't be too bad.
