doodle of some first generation style genelines that prioritized style over function. you can still see these patterns emerge in the modern era, and its not unheard of for well preserved citadels to still have the technology to make designer babies like this. however a lot of loamcats find it impractical, wasteful, and sacrilegious (or adjacent) to use the technology for something so surface-level

the vessel and xenointelligence [Suns Split By A Single Blade], also known as the callsign RAZOR. razor was found by a loamcat interstellar guild (the common type of political entity governing interstellar relations) and given citizenship after confirming their sophont status.
razor claims to not know their origin nor their creators, and spends most of their time just fucking around with whatever squishy organics that choose to stay in its "guts" and collecting remote controllable robots.
right now, it's registered as a salvage and rescue vessel with a crew of about 20 organics, and 43 remote operated drones. it was not trained to interact nor translate in first contact operations, but elects to do both regardless.

love having characters that seem somewhat normal and then you read their backstory and its just casually insane. for example one of my ocs is a normal lady who owns a historic bar in rural michigan. her hobbies are blogging on her imac g3 and sewing. she was grown in a test tube with her clone brother in a lab at epcot in orlando florida. her brother is also a vampire

I dont know enough about your ocs to ask any specific questions but i want to hear about them!! Consider this an open ramble invitation for whoever you feel like talking about!
yippy i love rambling!
Elves, known elsewhere as the Fair Folk, the Fractals, the Old Ones, and the Elder Gods, are creatures defined by their contradictions.
For mortals, the easiest way to describe them is the allegory of the Sphere in Flatland. In the Flat world, a sphere is perceived as a circle, though any three-dimensional being would find that silly.
A sphere has much more volume than a circle, and can move about in all three axes as it wishes. It perplexingly to the Flatlander has several different sizes, though this is all of the Sphere and is just an attempt at comprehension by the Flatlander, who cannot see into the third dimension.
As for the Elves, all of space and time is interwoven in what to us is a 4-dimensional world. The gaps between are where they like to reside, but it is not uncommon for the elves to weave themselves into it.
It's also not uncommon for them to consume it, ending the timeline and taking the power of that universe into their own fold.

more doodles. the magus' primary mortal vessel kind of corrupted over the centuries. also, katie had some problems when she was young and still believed she was a psychic human
