while the sackville-bagg family may seem like your average overly eccentric posh family, there is much more to them than meets the eye. rudolph was born a few years after his older brother, greggory, during the 18th century in the rural countryside of germany. both of his parents were aristocrats that ruled over a small portion of land that had been passed down through generations of their family. his childhood was fairly semi-charmed and had almost zero qualms. he spent most of his days lazing around their grim-looking family manor, spending time with his two siblings, and reading up on his select hyper-fixations. although their peaceful little life was interrupted one night when a member of an opposing family showed up at their doorstep. he arrived under the pretense of smoothing things over between the two families and perhaps even allying.
although this was merely a trick to gain the family’s trust, slaughtering both of the children’s parents and leaving them to bleed out. all three children were completely distraught, unsure of what to do. the village’s doctor was too far away for them to fetch him. just when they believed all hope was lost, a wandering traveller was lured to their family home. the traveller was no human, but rather a creature of the night that had been able to smell the bloodshed that had taken place. having lost their own family at a young age, the vampire took pity on the family and decided to turn rudolph’s parents. it was at that moment, rudolph’s entire life changed.
not long after his parents received their second chance at life, both freda and frederick concluded that they did not want to live a life without their children or watch them grow old and wither away. with this conclusion, they offered up the opportunity of eternal life to them. it was an appealing offer but not one taken lightly. yet all three of the sackville-bagg children took their parents’ offer when they were finally all of age. life as a vampire came with major adjustments for rudolph. one of the biggest adjustments, aside from needing to drink blood to survive, was the fact that the family could never stay in one place for too long.
they trekked across europe, settling down in random small towns with a new elaborate backstory. although they were truly socialized too much with the humans that lived around them out of fear that someone might eventually catch on. the only good thing about this somewhat nomadic lifestyle was the fact they were exposed to several different traditions and customs, eventually picking them up. but as the world progressed, they found themselves having a bit of trouble when it came to fitting in and adjusting. this feeling of displacement led the family to grow tired of their life of immortality. this spurred a hunt for an amulet that was rumoured to be able to turn vampires back into humans. while the hunt felt hopeless at times, their desire to live out the life that had been stolen from them drove them to continue forward.
the search for this amulet brought them to scotland and this was there rudolph met someone who would change his life forever. a human named tony thompson. during a party that the man’s father was throwing, he flew into his room seeking safety from a hunter that had been tracking him. while he expected the worse, tony showed him nothing but kindness and was intrigued by his status as a vampire. despite their obvious differences, the two naturally clicked and became best friends. they were able to make each other feel normal, something that rudolph never thought he would experience again.
while rudolph’s parents had their initial doubts when it came to their son’s new friend, his family as a whole was quick to warm up to tony and even became protective of him. while the family felt as if they were getting closer to uncovering the location of the amulet, a vampire hunter named rookery stood in the way of their plans. luckily, tony offered the family salvation in the cellar of his family’s home. just as rudolph was coming up with a plan to defeat the vampire hunter and protect his family, he found himself stopped in his tracks. in the blink of an eye, he would himself suddenly standing underneath the moon on the main street of some unknown town. stranded there alone, he couldn’t help but worry about the safety of both his family and best friend.

from birth, amilyn holdo was essentially destined for greatness. while most people don’t immediately know what they wish to do with their lives, that was certainly not the case for amilyn. she set a high ambition for herself early on, holding onto the hope that one day she would be a politician. with that position, she would be able to stand up against the injustice that she observed being carried out by the galactic empire. although like most people with a dream, she had to start small. she began her journey working in public service as a delegate to the imperial apprentice legislature program. it was during this time she became extremely close to leia organa, one of the few like-minded individuals around her.
in a world where you wish to climb the ranks, connections are everything. the fact that she managed to befriend the princess herself led to new doors being opened for amilyn. she quickly became a key player in the rebel alliance during the galactic civil war. she started as a civil minister but was able to prove that she was more than capable of becoming a martial commander and was granted the status of an officer of the alliance fleet. after the war against the empire was won, it was during this time that amilyn was able to settle down. although there was something in the back of her mind that told her that new darkness would arise in the future. she didn’t know if it would be during her lifetime, but she knew that evil still lurked in corners of the galaxy.
while she had no ambitions to marry or have what most would’ve deemed to be a conventional life, she started her own family after adopting two children that quickly became the light of her life. they served as a reminder of what she had fought so hard to protect: hope and light in the galaxy. but that momentary peace that everyone naively clung to was dashed when a new evil force rose in the galaxy. the first order. she was forced to leave her family behind after she was re-recruited by leia and was asked to serve as vice admiral of the resistance fleet. it was an honor that she couldn’t deny, especially since was left the highest-ranking officer in the resistance. a daunting premise, but still left her feeling a small bit of pride.
but her desire to protect what she loved most and fight for what was right ended up being holdo’s downfall. with the first order backing her crew into a corner, she did the one thing that she thought was right in that scenario. put her crew and people before herself. if she was going to die, she was going to make sure that the damage was minimalized and that the resistance would be able to carry on – even without her. she ended up forcing a lightspeed collision that allowed the remaining members of the resistance to escape. while she might have been leaving behind her children, she had hope in her final moments that her death would not be one that was in vain.

princess melody andersen came by the nickname ‘princess of disaster’ quite honestly. despite being born into a royal family and being gifted with the title of a princess from birth, she never felt like she fit in or that she was deserving of the title. while her parents were beyond loving and accepting of all of their children, she couldn’t help but feel as if all eyes were on her. it’s a rare feat when anyone ages gracefully and living out those awkward teenage years while everyone is watching you, would be considered a nightmare for most. beyond the pressure that came with being a princess, melody couldn’t help but feel as if there was something her parents were hiding from her.
their nature of how protective they were of her and her siblings was almost suffocating. little did she know, there was a very good reason for that. her mother’s past. while the andersen children were banned from leaving the castle walls, especially to go down to the shore, melody felt this urge to break the rules that were set in place. just the sound of the waves that could be heard called to her. this led to melody choosing to sneak out against her parents' wishes and explore the ocean. she would spend hours collecting shells or swimming in the salty brine, dreaming of a life far away from her own. it was there she met one of her only friends, a fish that she talked to named florian.
as the years went on, suitors were introduced to melody in preparation for possible marriage and union of two kingdoms. but most of the people that she met were turned away by her awkwardness or clumsy nature, something that she grew to feel fairly insecure about. would she ever meet someone who would accept her for who she was? quirks and all. her only escape from this all was when she was sneaking down to the water, deciding one day to bring one of her younger siblings. it was then something bad happened, her sibling losing their footing and nearly drowning if it hadn’t been for melody’s swift action to rescue them.
it was that moment her parents found out about her disobeying them for years, their rules became more strict. resentment and guilt began to brew inside of melody and she decided to sneak out for one last time. in her mind, her family would be better off without her. but this time she decided to strike a similar deal with a sea witch named morgana, wanting to reside in the ocean and have the freedom she longed for. but her hopes and dreams were easily dashed when she found out about her mother’s past through the witch. luckily, morgana in the end was able to be defeated and life resumed as normal.
while there were no longer any boundaries or secrets, the guilt that melody felt at that moment followed her for years and still does.

after the passing of king t’challa and only one year afterward, the passing of queen ramonda. shuri was forced to step into the position of queen of wakanda. but after the war between wakanda and talokan, shuri taking her leave to travel left the throne open. this led m’baku to challenge for the title, with no one stepping forward to counter his challenge. from that day forward, the once leader of the jabari tribe became the king of wakanda. while he might not have been the most conventional choice in the line of succession, after everything he had done for the nation and the royal family, it seemed like wakanda would be in safe hands. not long after he became ruler, he found himself falling in love with someone. while he wasn’t necessarily the type to consider settling down, the responsibilities and act of ruling had begun to shape him into a better version of himself.
not necessarily different, but rather well-rounded — discovering parts of himself that hadn’t been tapped into yet. she was the first person to make him question whether or not he was okay with being alone. smart, clever, witty, and beautiful. but their courtship was a rather lengthy process, the woman playing hard to get. but before long, their true love story unfolded and they were wed not long after that. even sooner after that, her pregnancy was announced. she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, sade jabari. the princess of wakanda.
from a young age she was taught by her mother, learning everything there was about the beautiful land they lived in as well as a vast array of knowledge about the counties beyond the protective barrier that hid wakanda. she was a voracious learner, wanting to absorb every piece of knowledge she got her hands on. but she was quietly intelligent, instead her bright and sometimes overpowering personality taking precedence when anyone was able to get an impression of her. she was a bundle of energy from day one and was constantly exploring, even places she wasn’t necessarily supposed to go. she was given the nickname ‘ebusika’ by her father at a young age, also known as winter in xhosa, for her love of jabari land and snow. from that point forward, she began to go by the name winter.
as she grew, winter knew that there might come some day when she might have to step into power and challenge for the throne just as her father did. but unlike her father, she lacked true confidence and strength. she loved wakanda more than anything in the world and wanted to be the queen it deserved — but she didn’t necessarily know if she had it in her. to distract herself from thoughts of the day she would have to take over, she toiled away in the lab that once belonged to a princess that tried to do the same. run from an inescapable destiny. in a way, she felt tied to shuri’s emotions and thoughts there. it was once her haven and now it was hers.
she worked day and night on new vibranium-based technology to benefit the nation’s warriors and people as a whole. but as she began to focus more on work and responsibilities, there was part of her that was beginning to lose the spark she once embodied. she was no longer the bubbly diplomatic princess that would go out of her way to speak with her people. she was slowly becoming consumed with stress. in her mind, that was another sign that she wasn’t fit to be queen. what if something bad were to happen to wakanda under her rule? would she handle the chaos with grace or crack under pressure?
the thought of escaping to another random country and laying low crossed her mind. but just as began to think about her options, one was chosen for her. she was whisked away from wakanda and transported to some strange town without much recollection of how she had gotten there.

if there was one downside to being the son of a worldwide famous popstar, it was quite possibly the fact that it was almost impossible to fill your parents’ shoes. almost possible, that was something matheo leblanc wanted to put to the test. he was brought into this world after his father’s relationship with his fake girlfriend became complicated, one drunken night spent together leading to a blessed accident. while robaire was nowhere near mentally prepared to become a father, the success that 4*town was beginning to die down at this point. maybe it was time for him to throw in the towel and settle down, almost as if this unexpected pregnancy was a wake-up call of sorts for the popstar. while both were left feeling unsure, the birth of their first son was the confirmation they both needed. they wanted to at least try to make a family unit work out.
although now that matheo is grown up, he is unsure if his parents ever loved one another. it almost feels as if they stuck together for the mere sake of their children and nothing more. maybe his father’s heart always belonged to someone else. it was a question he didn’t dare ask. not that he would’ve had the time to do so. even with 4*town only doing their reunion tours every couple of years, matheo’s father was barely present in his life. his former popularity offered him modeling deals, commercials, television appearances, and so on. due to the outpour of gigs he had, he was constantly on the go.
due to his mother being overwhelmed raising three children on her own, she was quick to look into boarding schools. matheo was the first to leave home, attending a private boarding school during his middle school years. it was there he discovered the only thing he had in common with his father: a shared passion for music. he wanted to write, produce, and perform his own tracks. but somehow he couldn’t seem to escape his father’s shadow wherever he went. everyone always compared his vocal skills and dancing to his father’s. while it might have seemed like high praise considering his success, the flattery grew to bitterness rather quickly.
it was in high school when matheo was truly able to step into his own light and begin to pave a path for himself. he was attending a private arts school where he was provided the tools to strengthen as a musician. not only that but he found a muse: his secret boyfriend. despite not being open about his relationship, he never made his partner feel like a dirty secret. although when they graduated high school, they both had dreams of fostering their own music careers. both of their dreams came true but with their skyrocketing popularity, they both became rather distracted. keeping their relationship a secret grew more difficult, leading matheo to break things off despite how deeply he had fallen for the other at this point.
while it might’ve seemed like a dick move, matheo finally had what he had dreamed of nearly his entire life. on top of that, he finally made a name for himself where his father was rarely brought up when the media spoke about him and his music. he wasn’t going to allow anything to ruin the life had created for himself, not even love.

in terms of normal childhood experiences, there was no such thing for zero to experience. they weren’t necessarily born, but instead a mere fragment of their father. then again, no one truly knows how darker spirits come to exist. but their sibling’s ‘birth was very similar’ the two formed as broken pieces of their father. while they were siblings by definition, there was no hope for any sort of conventional family dynamic. in fact, zero can’t remember the last time they spoke to either their father or sibling — if ever. from the very first day they were cognizant, they were on their own.
while it might sound like a lonely way to live, they merely saw loneliness as freedom. with that freedom came the ability to float between planes of existence, choosing to watch mortals in the shadows while also lurking about their true home: the spirit realm. zero lived their life merely as a background character in the lives of the other spirits, often floating through yubaba’s bathhouse without being noticed too much. it was there where they began to form themself, if you could call it that. much like their father and others of their kind, they would witness negative interactions and absorb the emotions and traits exhibited in those conversations. they fed off of emotions like greed, wrath, pride, jealousy, and so on.
through observing these individuals from afar, zero was able to learn what people truly desired and would eventually lure them in to consume them. when they were consumed, they would then take on the worst parts of their victims. they did this not only in the spirit realm but to unsuspecting mortals when the veil between the worlds was thin enough for them to be witnessed by ‘sensitive’ mortals. as satisfying as it was to feel the swirling storm of emotions grow, their hunger was never satiated. they wanted more. luckily, the world was full of negative and awful people for them to encounter. but despite their never-ending desire to consume more, they decided it would be best to lay low in the bathhouse for a while. unlike their father, they didn’t want to draw much unnecessary attention to themself.
they were able to blend in with the other spirits, easily gaining their trust. the mask they wore was both physical and metaphorical, no one knowing the true spirit that lay beyond everything they had absorbed. in all honesty, zero wasn’t entirely sure there was much to them without it. but that would be a theory that would soon be put to the test when they were whisked away from the spirit realm and sent to some strange town. no longer a fully dark spirit, but more akin to a human spirit.

despite charlie conway having lost faith in the spirit of the mighty ducks, he continued to embody that same spirit throughout his life. after graduating high school with honours despite having to find a balance between studies and sports, he was selected to partake in the nhl draft. he ended up being selected as the second overall pick in the league by the minnesota wild where he was taken on as a prospect. during this time he decided to do a bit of online schooling while he attended training camp before being sent down to the team’s ahl team for a temporary stint. but it wasn’t long before charlie’s skills displayed were enough to have him called up to the wild. it was surreal for the nineteen-year-old, but he was able to adapt and find a place on the team fairly easily.
but certain things came with the sudden fame and attention that were difficult for him to resist the temptation of. one of those things was attractive fans. charlie ended up having a one-night stand for a few but didn’t bother to think about the implications of sleeping around. this resulted in a happy accident, one of the women he slept with texting him that she was pregnant. she wasn’t prepared to become and mother and neither was charlie, but the other options provided weren’t something either of them wanted to look into at the moment. when sidney entered the world, charlie was at the peak of his rookie career but one look at his son made him want to try to make things work.
while the mother of his child didn’t necessarily feel the same way, charlie was determined to make sure that didn’t matter. the boy’s mother stepped in and was there to practically raise sidney, bringing him to every home game that she could when she wasn’t busy working. sidney grew up idolizing both his grandmother and father. his grandmother’s warm heart and empathy and his father’s work ethic and dynamic nature were things he hoped to embody one day. sidney ended up being nudged to follow in his father’s footsteps at a young age, entering peewee hockey at the age of five. while the sport had been something that enthralled him, he learned quickly he enjoyed being a spectator more than actually playing. but that was something he was afraid to tell his father, fearful that he would only end up disappointing him.
sidney’s lack of honesty resulted in the sport consuming his entire life. all he did was attend school, eat, sleep, and practice. every day began to blur. one of the only things that made his life a bit easier was the presence of his two adopted younger siblings, his father wanted to expand their family but still lacked the desire to settle down with anyone. the only other thing that strangely brought joy to his life was another sport: figure skating. he would often spend extra time at the rink just to watch his fellow skaters who rented out the rink for practice sessions. there was something about the gracefulness mingled with the complexity of the sport that drew him in, wishing he could’ve had the chance to pursue it rather than hockey.
but at this point in his life, he felt as if it was too late to turn back from the lie he had spun for himself. everyone believed he liked hockey and that he was good at it. he was a strong two-way forward and captain of his high school team. after high school, he was gifted with the same opportunity that his father had been and was selected for the nhl draft lottery. he was picked first overall by the anaheim ducks, something his father’s career and success no doubt affected. he felt like he wasn’t worthy of all he had been given but he kept that to himself. not to mention it was harder to fool people on his team that he enjoyed what he was doing. one day the mask would fall and he wasn’t sure what he was going to do when that day finally arrived.

there is something all the piper-dalloway children had in common: a legacy to carry. everyone in halloweentown would talk of the amazing things that her mother had done and it put pressure on eden at an early age. what if she didn’t do anything special enough to live up to her family’s reputation? it was a thought that constantly lurked in the back of the girl’s mind. that was probably one of the main reasons that she liked bouncing back and forth between the mortal world and halloweentown while growing up. while she was in the mortal world, she was normal as far as everyone was concerned. most people would’ve enjoyed the attention that she got in halloweentown, eden much preferred to live life in the background.
one thing she was grateful for was the fact that living in both worlds offered her a wider perspective on things. when she turned thirteen years old, she went through the same training as her grandmother, mother, and cousins. her mother worked carefully with her to hone in on her powers and reach her full potential. despite her anxiety about living up to her family name, eden was enthralled when it came to learning new spells and testing the limits of her abilities. this love for learning with a hint of perfectionism carried over to her school life as well, leading the young wish to overload her schedule and push herself to the brink of exhaustion on more than one account. but in the end, all of her hard work paid off. she was able to get accepted to witch university where she learned the most about herself.
unfortunately, she never was able to make many friends during her attendance but that was partly her fault. she would often hole herself up in her dorm room, distracting herself with her studies rather than prioritizing relationships. after she graduated, she decided to open up her own shop in halloweentown where she provides supplies to witches and other creatures in need. but there’s a part of her that feels as if she doesn’t belong there, especially since just before she disappeared — she began to have similar dreams to her cousin sabrina. visions that scared her and left her feeling nothing but unsure.

dr. grant seeker was born to two renowned scientists, which practically set his life up for success while also giving him a rather big pair of shoes to fill if he wanted to follow in the footsteps of his parents. yet due to the busy nature of both of his parents, he didn’t necessarily have the best relationships with them. sure, he was well-tended to and never lacked in any wants or needs — but they were often far too busy working to truly engage with their son and his interests. since he was frequently left at home with a lot of free time on his hands, he would often sneak into the lab that was housed in the basement of their spacious home despite knowing that he was prohibited from doing such. he was a rather gifted child from an early age and the unauthorized access to his parents’ lab only boosted his interest in the stem field in particular. at school, he excelled in all of his classes but science, technology, and mathematics had always been his strong suit.
at the age of seven, he was able to take a gifted test and was awarded the title of a child prodigy to all that he knew. not receiving much of a challenge in his classes, he was eventually able to skip a few grades. this fast track in school meant that he was able to enter university at the age of sixteen where he majored in paleontology with a minor in mechanical engineering. one of his childhood hyper-fixations that followed him into adulthood had always been dinosaurs, the man wanting to devour every piece of information he could get his hands on regarding his special interest. yet his parents weren’t necessarily thrilled with their son’s chosen field. they view paleontology wrongly as a rather stagnant field. but grant was more than determined to prove them wrong and make a name for himself in his field.
after graduating from university, he went on to receive a doctorate in paleontology. it was in graduate school that he met his first true love. a fellow scientist with ambitions as large as his own. but the two ended up eventually going their own way due to his partner’s dreams. grant was left heartbroken and this only encouraged him to throw himself further into his research and personal projects. fresh out of grad school, he was hired by the dino institute for his extensive research in biochronology. despite the wealth of satisfaction and accomplishment, he obtained from his work, he couldn’t help but feel as if his life was fairly mundane.
there was no spark to his life like there was when he was with his ex. he was working tirelessly at the institute and toiling away at his lab, yet he never made time for himself. it’s not like he didn’t try to go on the occasional date now and then, but he felt as if no one shared his interests. that’s when he began to look into the potential of adopting a child. the thought of starting a family of his own and taking in children that didn’t have a proper home excited him. he wanted to share his life with someone and that didn’t necessarily have to be a partner. he ended up adopting three children whom he loved dearly. while work still consumed a large portion of the man’s life, he often broke the rules of his boss — dr. marsh — by taking his children to the lab. rules were always meant to be bent in his eyes.
not long after his children were adopted, he obtained his second greatest accomplishment in life (second to his children). the time rover. one big mission later while avoiding the countdown to extinction, dr. seeker had his own live iguanodon that he took care of and kept in his rather large personal lab at home. the dinosaur ended up adopting the mannerisms of an overprotective dog more than anything else. life in a way finally felt complete to the man.

nyk chernabog wasn’t necessarily born, but more so created. some that knew of him created a story that he was the embodiment of darkness and pure evil, which might not have been far from the truth. from the moment he came into existence, he took up residency upon bald mountain. the dark ominous rock formation cast a shadow on the village beneath, a village that chernabog made it his duty to watch over. the main way chernabog often chose to entertain himself was by summoning forth the spirits of criminals and warriors alike along with fire which he transformed into illusions of sorts. he would then force the spirits to bend to his whims and entertain him, tossing them into the fiery pit of the mountain whenever he grew tired of them. after all, he could always summon forth more spirits in the long run so he never viewed any of his minions with much value.
this ghoulish delight occurred almost every night, the man hiding from the world with his massive spanning wings during the day despite his lack of need to sleep. the day’s blinding light was never welcomed, the light metaphorically serving as hope to the villagers. while chernabog enjoyed toiling in the lives of mortals and turning spirits into playthings, he found himself growing bored of the mundane routine that he had created for himself. while it was difficult to admit, he realized that loneliness was the root of the cause of this. despite not wanting to come to terms with this emotion, he set off on a quest to create a family for himself. he decided to use part of his own essence to create a spawn from the hellfire of the mountain.
while he was initially skeptical of his plan, the moment his son damon entered his life — he felt as if he had a purpose again. he didn’t need anyone else, he had already created perfection. he took care of him and doted on him endlessly, forcing the spirits to amuse both of them now. his proudest moment in life came when damon joined him in commanding who should perish and he consistently continued to make him beam with pride over the years by wrangling up souls for him. though some mortals were able to escape his grasp, the light inside of them combatted his abilities. it was those said individuals that caused him to collaborate with dr. facilier in the first place. two individuals bonded by the fact that they used dark magic and worked with spirits to do their bidding. it turned out to be a very mutually beneficial relationship.
that’s when they devised their plan to create a world made out of magic and trap the children of the heroes within a seemingly abandoned town. but things didn’t go as they initially planned. the moment vas was whisked away from him unexpectedly due to the spell’s backfiring, he set out to devise a plan to retrieve his daughter from this new world. what he didn’t expect was for facilier to send him to this world with no passage back to his own, now just as trapped as everyone else was.

when journey found out about what occurred, she didn’t hesitate. she rushed to save their sibling without a second thought. but when she arrived, she discovered that this force’s darkness had spread to their sibling and they were no longer the same person they once knew. there was no light nor love in their eyes. despite the heartbreak and discouragement she felt, she tried in her best effort to use her powers to save them and reverse the darkness. but it didn’t work. she wasn’t strong enough due to the fact she was scared and failed to truly believe in herself.
she was left behind as the new supreme leader took their sibling with them. she blamed herself relentlessly, viewing her sibling’s status as a result of her own shortcomings. from that point on, the dark force remained hidden laying in wait but their darkness has slowly begun to spread. journey ended up becoming the captain of her own ship and made it her mission to not only track down her sibling and save them, but to reverse the darkness that spread through the galaxy. it sounded like an impossible feat, but she had learned from her father that nothing was impossible.

the world would one day know hudson mcqueen’s name, that was one thing he was sure of. he was born to famous racecar lightning mcqueen and sally carrera, the two decided to name their son after doc hudson. he grew up in radiator springs and was extremely close to the other children of the cars there. life was a bit on the slow side save for the times he would watch his father or tourists would come through their little town. hudson ended up spending a lot of his time re-watching old races and spending time racing himself through the bluffs, this passion for racing easily sparking up. his parents were a bit apprehensive when he told them that he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps, but they supported him no matter what.

the only good thing about being so young when you lose your parents is that the trauma isn’t as strong in someone’s memory. that was the case for arin wexley, but stories of his parents’ heroics were kept alive through his adoptive father. they were both resistance pilots that died fighting for a cause that was more than worthy of perishing for their eyes. while temmin ‘snap’ wexley hadn’t been able to have children of his own, he was more than prepared to step into the role of father to honour the wishes of his deceased best friends. sure, there were bumps in the road due to him not necessarily being equipped to raise a child on his own — especially in the middle of a war. but he wouldn’t have traded those moments for anything in the world. despite his father’s role in the resistance, arin was able to follow his father around as much as he possibly could. although it was difficult for the boy to wrap his head around the fact that one day he might not return to him.
that tragic fate became a reality around the time arin turned thirteen. the war had reached its climax and this was do or die for the hope rooted in the resistance’s battle against the final order. during the final battle of exegol, snap’s x-wing ended up being hit and he crashed. news of the man’s unexpected passing, very similar to his biological parents, had to be broken to arin afterward. he was utterly heartbroken and ravaged by grief. left an orphan yet again, he was occasionally watched over by rose tico until arin decided to more or less run away from his problems. he wanted a fresh start and that’s exactly what the planet of batuu offered him. he ended up picking up seedy deals (from smuggling to spice running) in his teenage years here and there, saving the money he earned to hopefully one day buy his own ship.
it was around the age of twenty-four that he was finally able to purchase his ship. it was a piece of shit, to say the least, but it was his piece of junk. his dreams of following in his father’s footsteps and becoming any sort of useful pilot had died with the childhood he left behind. sure, hope endured due to the efforts of the resistance — but bitterness had found a home in young arin wexley. that was a dangerous thing in itself, especially when he had been grappling with being a secret force sensitive his entire life. he feels that pull to the dark side more now than ever.

surprisingly, a slight attitude adjustment came in the form of his older sibling. it became quite clear early on that jace didn’t inherit the same abilities that he and his father had. he began to notice how some would pick on his brother because of this and would always swiftly step into his defence. never wanting jace to feel like the odd one out, he made a silent vow to himself to refrain from showing off as much as he could. instead, he focused all of his attention on living life as if he was completely normal. it was a far more difficult feat than he initially believed it would be, but jace's happiness was far more important to him than anything else in this world. he began to discover new things to preoccupy his time with such as going out with friends, partaking in card games (usually cheating), and exploring.
any aspects of magic in his life were very minimal: usually in the occasional parlour trick to appease people or for necessary usage. but he never felt like that was enough for him. it was difficult to explain, but he couldn’t help but feel as if he was missing out on this call to something bigger. an itch that he could never scratch. wanderlust that he could never act upon because he never wanted to leave his family behind. it was almost as if his heart was in two entirely different places at the same time.

life never truly had any limitations for alessandro vespertilio. he was born and raised a vampire in halloween town, destined to stop physically aging around the age of twenty-three. he was raised by his father alongside his two siblings, the man fairly eccentric even by the standards of the residents that resided in their town of halloween. the baron never truly set any rules for his children, allowing them to do as they pleased — even if that resulted in pure chaos. he wanted to watch them grow, discover their passions, and see what they would become if they weren’t held back in any sort of way. in the end, all three of the children grew up to become fairly different individuals despite the close familial bond that held them together.
alessandro’s passion in particular had always been rooted in romance. he was a deeply poetic and sensual soul. he enjoyed nights drinking blood-infused wine, playing his violin, and pursuing the neverending quest of hedonism. despite being able to do whatever he pleased, alessandro felt as if the true limitation in his way was the town he called home itself. there were very few people he hadn’t at least had for a night, running out of people to give him attention and dote upon him as he so deeply craved. but that changed one fateful night when the unthinkable happened: a human found their way into halloween town. they had been lucky that alessandro had found them instead of any of his cousins or sister, he was far less cruel. instead of doing anything that may cause harm to the other, he ended up studying them and becoming enamoured with them. he offered them a haven by hiding them in the basement of the spacious castle on the hill that his family called home.
the two ended up developing feelings for one another, something that alessandro should have realized was a mistake from the start. all it took was one night for things to go wrong. hunger had gotten the best of alessandro and he ended up draining his lover completely in a frenzy. there was no one he could turn to about this, especially since he had kept their presence in the home a secret as much as possible. from that moment on, he completely swore off love and subtly doubted his ability to achieve anything beyond what he already had. he had all these big dreams for himself but no room to grow.
