omg how is it already May O_O
I got sick over the weekend, which has me thinking my immune system is truly sucky because I was only busy for 2 days and I feel like utter garbage. I haven't been able to write which has been super inconvenient for me as well.
I realized just yesterday that it's been literal MONTHS since I posted a CD collection post on my CD COLLECTION SIDE BLOG so now I feel shame for that. It's mainly because my collection is in complete dishevelment rn. I need a new shelf to store them all since I ran out of room but I can't find a decent shelf in my budget (which is zero dollars) anywhere. So I'm going to finish off my 5sos CD collection very soon and then go back to working alphabetically again. That's something I feel good about! See yall soon <3

That no one would like it and my career as a singer would be over. I genuinely thought that. I worked so, so hard on this album. It could have come out and completely flopped, and then it’s like, well, where do you go from here? I would have questioned everything because I doubt myself and that’s where I would have ended up in a spiral. So I’m glad that it’s doing well. But I did everything I could to make it as personal and real, as possible.

Misc: Title from a Selena song, actually "I Could Fall in Love" is so Joou's feelings about Irefumi core, I've been on a period/historical romance kick lately and I don't think it'll stop
Warm summer breezes flowed into the study, filling Joou with a fond nostalgia of reading with her father Zhìháo as a child, or when she'd come to remind him that dinner had been prepared. The study that she currently cleaned was his, too.
Her hands ran on the dark leather of the seats, her eyes observing the African Blackwood shelves sturdy holding all the books her father collected over the years and darkly green painted walls.
To think that it was all hers now; and to think that she'd never see the beloved Zhìháo again.
In the days after Fan Zhìháo's passing, Joou often took refuge in places, like the study, within the estate he'd frequent. It brought her a form of comfort, and memoriam in such a darkening time.
"My dearest, you don't have to clean your father's study." The voice was deep and sagely but feminine.
Joou turned to see her mother Kimi in the doorway adorned in her silk wrap. They were practically splitting images of each other, only Kimi more graceful and mature. Even when adorned with their most prized jewels, Kimi's beauty never failed to regale those who gazed upon her.
"My apologies, Mother." Joou bowed. "I was feeling nostalgic and came in here."
A smile crossed Kimi's features. "Why don't you go outside? I'll have the maids finish cleaning so you may relax." She held open the door for the younger Takarano.
Joou took her mother's offer and headed outside. With all the happenings around her-- from her sister Hime's education to company matters-- privacy seemed like a distant dream to Joou. Hastily making her way to the garden, she could feel the same summer breeze against her skin. Flowers ranging from roses to gardenias to peonies painted a colorful image of the estate gardens.
Taking in the serenity around her, Joou strolled around. Her mind and body felt at a long-awaited peace she'd been longing for. It wouldn't hurt to have more moments like this-- where time slowed and allowed Joou to be alone with herself for as long as she desired.
"Lady Takarano?" Joou almost froze hearing the familiar voice. What brought Irefumi to her garden, better yet her estate? And yet she couldn't help but also feel a bit endeared by the sudden visit.
"Ah, so it is you." Irefumi took her gloved hand in his and planted a kiss to it. But part of him longed to kiss more than just her hand; instead wanting to embrace her in his arms and kiss her deeply. "I wished to see you."
"Well I am honored to grant your wish, sir." Joou bowed.
"Please just call me Hitsugaya. I cannot do formalities."

Truth be told, Marisol has no real memories of her birth parents, or a time before she was a part of the Reyes Ortega (now de la Luna) family. She knows what happened, that her dad dropped her off with her big brother and then skipped town, but she's never been anything but happy that's how her life went. She knows that she's had a better childhood under Celia's care than she would have had anywhere else.
For as long as she could remember, Marisol knew that she was never getting out of Huntsville. She was six years old when the storm hit, and in spite of the paradox being the only existence that she had ever really known, she tried her best to make the best of a bad situation—to fill her life with purpose and meaning. She focused on doing well in school, on her many extracurricular activities, on being a good big sister to Felipe and a good friend to her close-knit circle. When she got older, she started shadowing her family members at work in order to learn their trades—primarily Mo at the nursing home, Celia at the diner, and when he came into their life a year ago, Cal at the library.
Through it all, she has managed to maintain the sunny disposition that inspired her family nickname, but that isn't to say that there isn't more to Marisol than the facade she puts up. Perhaps the reason she tries to be a good community member is because she knows how hard her mom worked to restore her reputation after it took a hit from her teen pregnancy. Perhaps the reason she wants to be a good kid who never gets into trouble is because she remembers the rumours that tore her big brother down and can see him still trying to repair the damage. And perhaps the reason she needs to remain upbeat is because she wants to keep filling that role in the lives of those she loves—the one whose smile never fades, even if it falters from time to time.

Nobody in their family knows Marisol's actual birthday—including Marisol. She was dropped off with them on Celia's birthday, and as a result of that, they celebrate Marisol's birthday then as well. (She's actually a little older.)
She is a flyer on the high school cheerleading squad. Her other interests include cooking, sewing, and mostly as of last year, photography and video games.
