Scream Queen Book 1: Conventional Final Girl
Tumblr media
Chapter 4
Chapter 3 / Chapter 5
Stu Macher x Reader x Billy Loomis
 “Did you find them?” Sid asked, referring to mom and Neil who were supposed to have arrived at the expo today, like they told us.
“Are you sure it was the Hilton?” Dewey asked, looking between us two.
“Mhm,” She said and we both nodded to him.
“They’re not registered there.” Dewey looked at us sympathetically, “Could they have stayed somewhere else?”
“I don’t know, I guess.” Sid said as she rubbed her head for the millionth time. I pulled her hand away from her face and held it in mine.
“Don’t worry girls, we’ll find them, okay?” Dewey reassured us as he put his hand on Sid’s knee.
An officer walked by placing a paper on Dewey;s desk and saying something about the mask. Dewey said he’ll “Be right back” as he pushed in his chair and walked off. “(Y/n), what if they can’t find (m/n) and dad?” Sid asked in a sad and quiet tone with little sniffles. Smiling up at her the best I could right now I said, “Hey, just like Dewey said, they’ll find them Sid. I bet mom and  Neil are okay wherever they are.” Pushing her hair back from her face she responded, “Wouldn’t he want us to know that though?” At this point I just looked away. I didn’t know what to tell her. Right when I turned my head is when I made direct eye contact with Billy, a chill ran down my spine and all over my arms. He was pleading to me with a silent voice. “Hey tell em, Sidney, come one, (y/n), tell em!” Billy finally shouted as they led him out of the room. Sid refused to look and see but me? I had a clear view of his pleas for help, part of me felt bad. Right when Billy was dragged out Tatum walked in and right to us. She rushed right to Sid’s side holding her close saying, “Oh Sid, I’m gonna getcha out of here. Okay?” Nodding in response, Sid just sniffled and cried a little.
  Watching these two in front of me made me realise just how much of a family we really… aren’t. I mean the way Sidney might view it yeah for sure, we talk to each other and spend time together but when it comes down to it they’ll leave me in the background while they huddle to protect her. If this were a horror movie I know I wouldn’t be the final girl, Sidney would. I was pulled out of my thoughts when I overheard Dewey and Sheriff Burke. They’re talking about how it’s hard to track the buyer for the costume and they won’t be able to access the phone account until tomorrow. I couldn’t hear anymore after Tatum just groaned, “Ugh come on,” as she stood by Sid. I’m really hoping it wasn’t Billy, I care about him a lot even if he can be a little… menacing at times. He does his best for Sid and that’s all that matters.
 “Hey Dewey, can we go now?” Tatum asked her older brother, impatience written all over her face.
“Hold on a second,” He said, pointing his forefinger up in our direction.
“What did mom tell ya? When I wear this badge you treat me like a man of the law,” Dewey basically whined out to Tatum.
“I’m sorry deputy Dewey boy but we’re ready to go!” Tatum shouted in a huff as she gathered her things, “Now, okay?!”
“Uh take ‘em out the back way, avoid that circus.” Burke said as he patted Dewey’s back and pointed towards the back door.
The whole station was laughing at Dewey and Tatum’s bickering as we rushed for the doors.
“There she is, Sydney!” Oh well I guess the Devil will always seek you out when you least expect it. “Hi, some night, what happened, are you alright?” Gale asked, shoving the microphone in Sid’s face.
“She’s not answering any questions alright? Just leave us alone,” Tatum said in a tired-of-this-shit tone.
“No no, Tatum it’s okay she’s just doing her job, right Gale?” Sid smiled and lightly pushed Tatum back towards me.
Judging by her voice, Sidney is about to throw down.
“Yes that right,” Gale nodded, still shoving the microphone in Sid’s face.
“So how’s the book?” Sid asked, a sarcastic and scorch sound to her voice.
“Well, it’ll be out later this year.”
“Oh, I’ll look for it.” Sid said, he voice cracking for the tears and sobs trying to escape.
I whispered over to Tatum, “Grab Sid. Now.” Tatum did exactly as I said.
Just in time too since Gale said, “I’ll send you a copy!”
Sid went to turn around and punch her but Tatum held her back with all her strength. This allowed me to take her place and land a clean right hook to Gale’s left cheek pushing her back and down into her camera man. Words could be heard from all the people behind her but I wasn’t listening.
Dewey ran up to us and escorted Tatum, Sid, and I to his patrol car.
“Where’d you learn to punch like that?” Dewey asked as he held onto my arm.
“Mom was a boxer before she got with Neil,” I said as I slammed the car door.
“(Y/n) why did you do that?” Sidney asked me, looking in confusion.
“What, you think I’m going to risk my sister facing legal action in the middle of this shit show? I’d rather land in the slammer than you Sid,” I said as I placed my head on her shoulder.
“See Tatum why can’t you be like that?” Dewey whined from the front seat.
“Because you’re my big brother Dewey you’re supposed to defend me!” And so the sibling bickery ensued once again.
  Once we made it to Tatum’s we got dressed in our pajamas and just lounged around Tatum’s room. I guess my clothes weren’t up-to-par with the latest fashion because right when I walked in I earned an “ugh” from Tatum. “What?” I asked, crossing my arms over my chest and leaning on the doorway with a goofy grin. “Well one, you always wear those ridiculous shirts, and two, change whatever you’re doing.” Standing up straight I tug down at my shirt, it was just a Pet Sematary shirt, I guess I do wear a lot of horror stuff. “I get why you don’t like the shirt but what’s wrong with what I was doing?” I asked in a genuinely confused tone. Tatum got up to cup my face and squeeze it. “You’ve been spending too much time with Billy and Stu, we need to re-acclimate you to society.” She said and she pouted her lip, feigning pity for my accidental new traits. While Tatum was shuffling through her drawers I looked over at Sid. I mouthed, “Aren’t you going to do something?” Sid shrugged and mouthed back, “What am I supposed to do?” I tossed my arms up in the arm and mouthed, “Anything.”
   Tatum then threw something purple and soft right at my face. “There, go put those on then come back so I can braid your hair!” Tatum excitedly squealed. “We’re going to take cute pictures so hurry!” She shouted down the hall. Rushing to the bathroom I turned on the light, releasing a breath I held in… I’m just a little scared after tonight, I don’t know what’s lurking in the dark places anymore. I examined the set of small shorts and a smooth satin sleeping hirt. I quickly threw them on before heading back to Tatum’s room. When I came back I heard Tatum laughing.
“God I loved it! I’ll send you a copy, BAM, bitch went down!” Tatum imitated the event. Punching her stuffed rabbit.
Moving to sit up she again said, “I’ll send you a copy, bam! (Y/n), super bitch!” Tatum exclaimed shoving her arms out to the side. “She is so cool.”
I moved over to her vanity, careful not to make any noise because I wanted to bask in the fame.
Dewey walked in saying, “Thought (y/n) might want some ice for that right hook” Just had to run it Dewey.
“Over here Dewey,” I said as I sat at the end closest to the door.
Dewey tossed me the greenish ice pouch before I said, “Thanks.”
“I’ll be right next door, try to get some sleep.” Dewey said as Tatum waved him off.
I hopped onto the same bed as Tatum, I wanted to give Sid her space since she’s going through a lot right now.
Turning to me Tatum asked, “Do you really think Billy did it?”
My heart was telling me to say no but all that came out of my mouth was, “He was there Tatum…”
“He was destined to have a flaw, I knew he was too perfect.” Tatum said as she bobbed her head.
Hearing the phone ring in the other room just gave me instant chills, so did the knock at Tatum’s door right after.
“Telephone honey,” Tate’s mom walked in.
“Who is it?” Tatum asked as we turned to look at Mrs. Riley.
“It’s for the girls,” She said, making Sid turn her entire body.
“Is it my dad?” Her question was eager with hope in her voice.
“I don’t think so,” Tatum’s mom said as she gave a sympathetic smile.
Sid turned back over, having no interest in the matter anymore.
“Take a message,” Tatum said, leaning back against the headboard.
Getting up I said, “No it’s okay, I’ll answer it.” It might be something important, even if it isn’t our parents.
As I walked out I could hear the pitter-patter of Sid’s sock covered footsteps follow me to the phone.
“Hello?” I asked, crossing my fear arm over my chest.
“Hello, (y/n).” Oh no, the voice was obviously the ghost masked man from just hours ago. His words were drawn out just hoping for a reaction.
I gave him exactly what he wanted, “No! Stop, stop this now!” I wailed out.
Sidney came to my side, along with Tatum and her family.
“Poor Sidney’s Billy boyfriend, that guy doesn’t stand a chance with her.” This Ghostface said in mock gossip as if he were one of the girls.
“Leave me and my sister alone! You Jack Torrance sounding creep!” I exclaimed, shaking from the pure rage and fear that swam through my body.
“Looks like your sister fingered the wrong guy, again!” The masked murderer snarled on the other side of the line.
“What are you talking about? Who are you?” I asked in complete confusion by his words. Tatum and Sidney were begging me to hang up the phone.
“Don’t worry, you’ll find out soon enough, I promise.” He said before letting his line go dead.
“What?!” Dewey exclaimed as he rushed out to us a little too late. We were already walking back to the room
  I couldn’t sleep for the entire night, neither could Sid and Tatum. We tried keeping our minds off of things by doing light hearted girly stuff like braiding each other's hair, painting our nails, taking cute pictures with Tatum’s instant camera. I just wasn’t ready to leave the warm security of our friend’s home tomorrow morning.

THE BEAR CHARACTERS’ ZODIAC SIGNS🐻
steaming hot takes with my (limited) knowledge of astrology. but this has been simmering in my brain for many days and i simply must speak my truth...(part 1/?) idk lmk if you want more bc i have a few thoughts!
carmy is an aquarius!!!! i know this to be true deep in my heart!! the passion, the drive, the focus, the intellect, it's all there. he's driven by his desire to be good, and to keep getting better. carmy knows what he wants and although he sometimes struggles with emotional intimacy, he's actually a really good communicator. he doesn't do small talk, but as we've seen, he's open and willing to discuss difficult topics and be vulnerable with the people he's close to. he is a stubborn believer in the people he cares about, and strongly values teamwork and his desire to make the world around him better.
i think sydney is a gemini she is such a summer girl to meeee!! i loved s2e03 bc we really got to glimpse into her creative thought process. it's fast-paced and fluid and innovative and strongly influenced by her surroundings. she has really vivid goals and dives fully into them, as we see her do in building the beef, but underneath it all i think she definitely gets flustered and struggles with self-doubt--what if her passion isn't enough to make things work? sydney's a little impulsive/impatient at times, but recovers quickly because, like carmy, she's a really strong communicator (i could go ON about sydcarmy &their signs' compatibility....but that's maybe for another time lol).
richie is a sagittarius. he just is. he's brash and extroverted and really driven by a desire to find his purpose, whether it be in his relationships or in his work (s2e07 my beloved)!!! richie's an entertainer and a people person and he's not afraid to take up a lot of space. part of this comes from his closeness to mikey, but he's a great storyteller and wants for people to hear him. but when he's upset, esp when arguing with carmy, he's very blunt and isn't afraid to hit him where it hurts. i think some of the other characters find him a bit unpredictable, and likely it's bc he's trying to unpack a lot of difficult emotions while battling against his own pride.
natalie is a libra and i love her for it. i think one of the most prominent things about nat is that she's always seeking for balance, for security, for things to be stable and good and okay (with the bear, with carmy, with her mother) she is a people pleaser!!!!!! which is probably her greatest strength as well as her greatest weakness--she really wants carmy to be okay, but the work she puts in clearly takes a toll on her. natalie can turn up the charm if it helps her get the job done, as we see her do with cicero. she's critical and focused and has a good eye, which makes her a great project manager (where would carmy and syd be without her)

PLEASE INFORM ME IF IM MISSING ANY TRIGGER WARNINGS
PART THREE OF THREE
~~~~~|~~~~~
“Favorite color?” You ask, wondering why the men sitting around you were asking such boring questions. Before this, they asked your favorite food and then favorite holiday.
“Yeah” Han smiled, “Mines is Orange”
“I’m more of a green guy myself” Jeongin grinned, “And you, y/n?”
“Purple” you answer with a slight shrug. Lee Know was watching you intensely, making you squirm under his gaze.
“Our Seungmin loves purple” Hyunjin said with an odd looking smile. You nodded and turned back to Chan, waiting for the next question.
“Question number four, do you have any siblings?” He asks. This made your heart drop, as Cecilia was your only sibling. And then you remembered how you were seated with the very men that killed her- then you got angry all over again.
But you couldn’t show it, no. You have to play it cool.
“I have one brother. His name is Caleb”
“Really? Is he older or younger?” Jeongin asked
“Older. By three years”
“That’s cool” Han nodded, “I have an older brother too. It’s just us two, no sisters”
“I have sisters” Felix giggled, “And then these guys are my brothers. I have no biological ones”
“I wish I had a sister” Hyunjin sighs long and dramatically. His eyes scanned the people around him before they landed on you, “I’m the only child but, these guys are like my brothers so I’m not missing out on anything”
“Same” Lee Know agrees. This was the first time he spoke since the game started, “I’m the only child too. I was lonely until I found them”
“Oh” You nod, already knowing of everyone’s family situation. You read it in their files. You can list off each of their parents names if asked of you.
“How did you guys meet?” You question. Your plan was simple, try to seem as oblivious as possible. Even play dumb if you have to. Gain their trust, get close to them, take your revenge. Easy as that. Though, you can’t harm them- all you can do is gather enough evidence to get them arrested.
Take pictures, record conversations- you’re gonna do everything to get justice for Cecilia.
You have to play your cards right, doing anything wrong can land you out of a job or worse- meeting the same fate your sister did.
You just wish you had the authorities on your side, your boss doesn’t even know you’re working this case. He told you to stay out of it- realize your sister killed herself and get over it.
But it’s fine, you can do it on your own. Just stick to the plan.
No wrong moves, no slip ups.
“It’s a funny story actually” Felix smiles, “Chan and I both lived in Australia- both in Sydney! But we never met until we came here. Right Channie?”
“That’s right” The elder confirms, “I moved here over ten years ago, seeking a music career. I stayed with my uncle, and he was able to get me an internship at an entertainment company. I met Han there”
“Yep” Han says, “Channie hyung and I met first. He was so scary initially, wore all black and a baseball cap that covered his eyes. I thought he was so cool.”
Chan laughs fondly, making you crack a small smile.
Han continues, “My father worked at the label, and even owned a studio there. So I was there all the time. When Chan started working there, I begged my dad for a job. He was able to find me one and then Chan and I became best friends”
“Just like that?” You ask
“Just like that. It was hard to not become friends, we were together all the time”
“More like you followed me around and I just gave in” Chan jokes, “But yeah. After that, Hyunjinnie, Innie, and Binnie showed up. Not at the same time but days after each other.”
Changbin smiled, “We were there as trainees. We all kinda gravitated towards one another, and then we met Han and he introduced us to Chan”
“Then I came into the mix” Felix interjects, “I was a trainee too. I met Channie first though, he was in Han’s dad’s studio making a beat. The door was cracked and I heard it, went to investigate and the rest was history”
“Me and Seungminnie were the last to arrive. I was a professional dancer at that point but I felt like I could still improve. The company had some dance classes so I went there.” Lee Know says
“And I came for the singing classes.” Seungmin shrugs
“Wow” You sigh, “So it was fate, kinda?”
“Oh definitely” Chan agrees, “And we still do music. Han, me, and Binnie are a producers and writers now. We’re doing pretty well for ourselves”
“I write and provide backup vocals for artists” Seungmin smiles proudly, “Innie does the same, he’s co-written with me before. We’ve both gotten awards for our writing”
“Hyunjin, Lee Know, and I dance professionally. We hold dance classes and have choreographed for some pretty big names.” Felix brags
You’re pretty sure you looked like a dear caught in head lights by now. They’re…..successful business men? Like, outside of the criminal activity? You read their files cover to cover and you saw nothing about that.
“R-Really?” You ask, trying to mask your combined confusion and shock.
“Yeah” Han says proudly, “But no one knows it’s us though”
“They know the producers, 3RACHA, the dancers, danceracha, and the singers, vocalracha” Hyunjin says lowly, dropping the sweet smile he had.
“Everyone we work with has to sign an NDA. They can’t address us by our real names- can’t tell anyone they’ve worked with us.” Changbin explains
“Wait” You say, holding a finger to the group, “Seungmin just said he won awards for his writing? How can he-”
“Vocalracha won the awards. We weren’t at the award show. We took no pictures, did no interviews. We were at home watching along with everyone else, then got the award in the mail. Simple as that” Jeongin shrugs
“…Okay?” You say, still utterly confused.
“Don’t think too hard about this y/n.” Felix says in a comforting tone, “We always had a passion for music. It never left, not even when we started our other business”
“Other business?” You question
“Yeah. You know, the illegal stuff” The freckled faced man had such a big smile on his face. He looked so sweet, so safe. That made you shutter.
“Lixie! We haven’t even finished our game yet!” Jeongin scolds, “But oh well. Let’s just skip to the last two questions”
He looks you dead in the eye, not even blinking as he begins to speak in a low tone
“The second to last question; how’d you know my name if I never gave it to you?”
Your heart dropped. What? What was he talking about?
Surely you asked for his name, you couldn’t have been dumb enough to not ask for his name.
“What do you mean?” Your palms were sweaty now, your lip quivering slightly, “You told me at the bar”
“No I didn’t silly, but somehow, you knew it. You told the boys that Jeongin and you met at the bar, right?”
You nod
“I didn’t know your name, and you WERENT supposed to know mine” He shakes his head, “Come on sweetheart. You had one job; make us trust you- fool me, you know I’m the easiest target.”
“Wanted to play dumb, acted like you had no idea who we were, Baby, there and fucking signs around that warn you of us. And your plan was to play dumb?” Lee Know chimes in, laughing hardly.
“If you were smart, you would have somehow gotten Innie’s attention, played scared, make him reassure you that he doesn’t hurt innocent people, tell him you like what he does for the community, would have gained a little trust”
“Not gonna lie, you probably would have gotten me if you went that route” The youngest shrugs, “But we know you who you are. Had eyes on you y/n. Ever since what happened with Cecilia”
Your eye twitches at the sound of your sister’s name leaving his mouth. So they know why you’re here, how long have they known?
Eyes on you? Did they know you were eventually gonna come here for vengeance?
“Poor girl. Came here for revenge, ignored all the warnings to stay away from us. Somehow found Hannie at a club- asked us to do a job for her. Promised us $50,000 and international connections because her sibling was a detective.” Chan sighs, “Needless to say, she couldn’t pay us. But we pitied her, told her to give us $5,000 instead. She fled before she could pay us, then tried to tell on us”
“I still wonder why she did that? Honestly all she had us do was torture an ex boyfriend of hers. I wouldn’t have even minded if she gave us $1,000.”
“I wouldn’t have cared about the money if she just kept her mouth shut. Dude seemed like a jackass anyways. Cheats on your sister then leaves the country with a woman twice his age and twice as rich.”
“But it’s the principle of the thing” Changbin says, “And besides. She was no angel”
“My sister was a saint” You spat, “Never done anything wrong”
“Oh yeah? So she didn’t steal $20,000 from you last year?” Hyunjin asks, “And she didn’t rob two elderly women to get money for drugs? And she didn’t mortgage your mother’s house…and she didn’t sell the last possessions you had of your father?”
“And that was just last year!” Han laughs, “Your sister did that and worse! Face it y/n, she was a bad person. Stop pretending like she wasn’t”
“She just got involved with the wrong people. That’s all! She was precious, s-she was-”
“Willing to get you killed if that meant she could survive” Felix finishes, “The last thing she said before she died; ‘Take my sibling, y/n, they have money. I can get it for you. Kill them, let me live. They throw people like you in jail’”
You could almost hear your world crashing around you. Time felt like it stopped.
They were lying, had to be.
Not your little sister, your sweet little sister.
Sure she’s done some bad things before but that wasn’t her fault! She was going through a lot.
“That’s a lie”
“When she told us that…” Jeongin continues, “We looked into you. You’re not a quitter, are you? Known to do everything in your power to catch the bad guys! So good at your job”
“So we knew you’d do everything you could to find us. And we’re glad you did. Because we have a proposal”
Felix smiles and inches closer to you, again giving off such a warm and safe feeling.
“We want you to work with us. We could use someone like you on our team. You’re good at figuring stuff out, finding the people you need to find. Plus, we’d have some international connections”
….You couldn’t believe your fucking ears. They want you to work with them? The people that killed your sister? Be a criminal?
“Please” You scoff, “I’d never help the people that killed my sister”
“Your sister was ready to have you killed. Really, stop making excuses for her. We don’t kill innocent people. If they don’t deserve to die, they don’t die”
“Not even if they’re in debt to us, we’re not as merciless as people make us out to be”
“Why do you think we’re loved so much by the community?”
You stayed quiet, trying to wrap your head around everything that was happening. You were so zoned out that you didn’t realize Chan had walked up to you. He looked so….sympathetic. So ready to help. Looking at you as if you were a wounded animal.
“Last question” He whispers, “Do you accept our offer?”
How could you? They could be lying for all you know.
Maybe your sister wasn’t as good of a person, but she couldn’t have offered your life in exchange for hers- right?
But, this wouldn’t be the first time she’s done you wrong.
She wasn’t the best sister…or daughter. Caused your parents so much hurt. Hurt them so bad that it put your father in an early grave, made your mother move across the country to escape her.
Almost got you evicted, stole your car, almost got you fired a couple times.
Wow…
She did it, didn’t she?
That bitch almost got you killed.
Your sister, the person you dedicated your life to helping get back on her feet. The person you cried and screamed over. The person you vowed to avenge.
How could you be so….stupid?
“Well?” Jeongin asks, “Your answer?”
You sighed, feeling the tears dry up on your face, “What do I get out of this?”
“We’ll pay you handsomely. A house and a car here, 24 hour protection in Korea and back where you live. Your mother’s mortgage paid off, and other things can be arranged if you want as well.” Chan reveals, “We just ask that you give us any information we need, carry out any tasks we give, and please- for the love of God- don’t screw us over”
You stayed quiet for a while, going through your options.
Well, you only had two; say yes or die.
What more did you have to lose?
“Okay. I’ll join you”
A Runestead New Year's Eve Update
Tumblr media
Amos and his newly vampirized wife, Amarae, have begun crafting their own wine with grapes from Amarae's garden. They're breaking open a bottle for the first time for their NYE party!
Tumblr media
Amarae, being a creature of the night, is still able to tend to her garden in the evenings, but is no longer able to perform her duties as a daytime botanist. She quit that job and has taken up work as a freelance writer instead. Writing is a new skill for her, but she has all the time and supernatural stamina to hone the craft. Selling her services has been a little tough since she insists on only writing about vampires, but her clients have been satisfied with her work so far, and she may be carving out a niche for herself.
Tumblr media
The kids are growing up fast. Bakari and Bodhi, child savants, crushed high school - Bakari graduated way early and got to start his University journey at a tender age. He's not quite finished his degree yet, but Bodhi is quickly catching up, having also just gotten accepted into Britechester. Bakari is seeking a degree in Art History and intends to be a painter, which Bodhi still feels is a sad attempt to steal his thunder... Bodhi is studying Fine Art and splits his attention between painting and music. He's developed an abstract style to his paintings to differentiate himself from his brother's more classical approach.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though the tension of rivalry bubbles between them, they still get along like a couple of goofy bros for the most part.
Tumblr media
One might suspect Bakari to be more skilled in this area, given Bodhi's constant grumpiness and oft slovenly appearance, but it's Bodhi who's proven to be a bit of a ladies man. He invited a couple of dazzling girls from school to the NYE party: miss Sydney Lee and Farrah Whitt. (And of course, their old nanny Takashi Nishimura came to the shindig, too!)
Tumblr media
After everyone watched the midnight countdown together and went home, Amarae decided to venture out into the new year's night in search of other vampires. Lilith Vatore, despite their passionate first meeting, has proven to be a fickle friend to Amarae, and won't even train her to enhance her powers. Amarae is entirely dependent on her own knowledge of Vampire Lore to get by, which, to be fair, is quite an impressive repository. Perhaps, if there are no vampires in town to help guide her on her journey, she will simply have to make some of her own!
Tumblr media
Oh, and for whatever reason, she's developed this thing where she hisses involuntarily and inappropriately. Thankfully people don't really seem to notice...
Why are residential painters Sydney-wide in demand?
In the city of Sydney, with its beautiful architecture and picturesque neighborhoods, there is a growing need for residential painters. From traditional cottages to high rise apartments, homeowners all over Sydney are looking for professional painters to freshen up and revitalize their living spaces.
Tumblr media
But why are residential painters so popular in Sydney? Let’s explore the reasons behind the popularity of residential painters and why they’re in high demand.
Enhancing home aesthetics
A fresh coat of paint adds curb appeal, character and personality to a home. Whether it’s to update outdated colors, cover up wear and tear or add a splash of color to your interiors, a new coat of paint will help you achieve your desired look and create a space you can be proud of.
Increasing property values: investing in home improvement
As Sydney’s real estate market continues to boom, homeowners are seeking ways to increase their home’s value. Investing in home improvement, such as painting, can provide a great return on your investment. Painting can help you improve the value of your home, attract buyers, and increase your selling price. Whether you’re renovating your kitchen, remodeling your bathroom, or completely revamping your interiors, you can count on residential painters to help you achieve your goals.
Renovations and Remodels: transforming living spaces
With Sydney’s fast-paced real estate market on the rise, homeowners are increasingly turning to residential painters to bring their renovation ideas to life. From preparing your home for sale to investing in long term property maintenance, our experienced painters will work closely with you to ensure you get the best results. From expert advice to color consultations to flawless paint application, we’ll help you get the most out of your renovation project.
DIY limitations
Many homeowners in Sydney understand the limitations of painting projects on their own. DIY enthusiasts may not have the skills, experience, or attention to detail needed to get the job done right. With the help of professional painters, you can be sure that your painting project will be done to the best of your ability. From the preparation of the surface to the expert application of the paint, the professional painters will ensure that your painting project is done to the highest standard.
Outsourcing painting projects
Outsourcing painting projects is a great way to save time and money. With professional painters taking care of all aspects of your painting project, from the prep work to the cleanup, you can enjoy the results of your painting project without the hassle and stress of doing it yourself.
Expertise in color selection
Hiring a residential painter in Sydney can be a daunting task when it comes to choosing the right colors for your home. With so many options on the market, it can be hard to know where to start. That’s where professional painters come in. They are experts in color selection and can help you find the perfect hues that match your style, your preferences, and your existing decor. Whether you’re looking for a trend-led neutrals or a bold accent color, a professional painter can provide you with the insight and guidance you need to find the right color scheme for your home.
Professionalism and reliability: peace of mind
When you hire a professional painter in Sydney, you can be sure that you’re in good hands. Homeowners value professionalism and reliability, and hiring a reputable painting company means you’ll be working on projects that are safe, efficient, and of the highest quality.
Long term maintenance
Residential painting is an essential part of protecting and preserving your home from the harsh elements that Sydney's climate has to offer. Homeowners rely on professional painters to provide durable, weather resistant, long-lasting protection from moisture, UV rays and other environmental elements. Regular painting maintenance can help extend the life of your exterior surfaces, prevent damage and deterioration, and save you money on costly repairs in the future.
Conclusion
In summary, residential painters are in high demand in Sydney due to the following reasons:
improving home aesthetics
increasing property values
reinventing and remodeling projects
DIY limitations
time and convenience
color selection
profession and reliability
long-term maintenance needs
As Sydney homeowners continue to recognize the value of professional painting services, there will be increasing demand for residential painters Sydney-wide.
AUSTRALIA – UK – FREE TRADE AGREEMENT – TACKLE RISING LIVING COSTS
Tumblr media
Much Awaited Australia – United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement (FTA) enters into force from 31st May 2023
The agreement is a gold standard trade deal that delivers benefits for all Australians – including manufacturers, workers, farmers, trades, innovators, families, and students.
The United Kingdom is one of Australia’s major trading partners, with two-way goods trade worth $10 billion in 2022, and two-way services trade worth over $11 billion in 2021-22, making it our second largest services trading partner.
As of today, over 99 per cent of Australian products will enter the UK duty free. These include some of our key exports, such as wine, short and medium grain rice, sugar, honey, nuts, olive oil and food supplements.
UK tariffs on Australian industrial goods, such as auto parts, electrical equipment and fashion items are now eliminated. Australian agricultural products, including beef and sheep meat, sugar and dairy products, will have duty free transitional quotas, with eventual elimination of all tariffs.
For Australian consumers, tariffs on 98 per cent of UK imports to Australia are now eliminated, with the remainder removed within six years.
The agreement strengthens our people-to-people links with the UK. Australian professionals now have the same access to the UK job market as nationals from the European Union, except the Republic of Ireland.
The agreement also includes measures designed to improve the mobility of skilled workers and young people, in both directions. From 31 January 2024, Australians up to the age of 35, up from 30, will be able to apply for working holidays in the UK and stay for a maximum of three years instead of two.
Trade is more than just the exchange of products and services, it also boosts the exchange of ideas. Which is why our new trade agreement lays the foundation for Australian artists, including First Nations artists, receive royalties when their original works of art are resold in the UK.
The UK is Australia’s second largest source of investment, amounting to over $1 trillion in 2022. Modern investment provisions will help promote further growth in two-way investment.
Importantly, an investor-state dispute settlement mechanism is not part of the agreement. This means Australia’s sovereign right to develop and implement legitimate policy measures in areas such as public health and the environment is preserved.
The Albanese Labor Government prioritized legislation in the Parliament to bring this trade deal into force in record time, delivering on our commitment to help businesses diversify their trade and help bring down the cost of living for Australians.
Australian business looking to enter or expand into the UK market can seek assistance from Austrade. Business can also check how the tariff cuts under the agreement apply to their specific goods through DFAT’s FTA Portal and read DFAT’s Guide to Using the A-UKFTA to export and import goods.
Australia Wasting Its Money & Future On Housing Market
Tumblr media
Australians spend most of their money and time buying and selling property to the tune of $400 billion every year. That is not making anything new or manufacturing useful things for the world. The Great Australian Dream is home ownership and that has become a very expensive obsession for most of us. What it does do is make our banks very rich and provides real estate agents and state governments with their fair share too. Australia wasting its money and future on housing market is a troubling indicator of where we are as a nation. “Australians have $10.3 trillion of their wealth tied up in housing, more than three times the value of stocks on the ASX and even dwarfing the 43.5 trillion of superannuation savings.” (Michael Janda, ABC News, 16th Jan 2024)
Tumblr media
No Ducking The Truth About Our Housing Market
I was watching some ducks pecking at the ground for food on my golf course the other day. In the past I had thought that we as humans had come a long way by comparison in evolutionary terms – no longer needing to constantly seek out food for survival. However, I realised that I was looking at things the wrong way for a fair comparison. Most of us work the greater part of our lives to afford to buy our own home. We are, in fact, still pecking at the ground in the bigger scheme of things for our very expensive shelter. Australian Housing Market Investment A Ponzi Scheme “Any investment that's primarily reliant on capital gain rather than future income generation for its return shares at least one thing in common with a Ponzi scheme. Both rely on the next investors to pay out the profits of the earlier ones. In the case of real estate that means a new generation of buyers willing — and able — to stump up more cash to pay a higher price than the previous ones.” (https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-01-16/rental-yields-highlight-australian-economic-achilles-heel/103321034) Who would have thought that you would need a million dollars to buy an average house in somewhere like Sydney or Melbourne? The banks must love this setup they have cooked up over decades. Folks have to borrow enormous sums of money from them to purchase property and the central bank keeps whacking up the rate of interest they can charge on the loan. How does it get any better than this? Currently the banks make more on the loan than the home owner will on his or her investment in total.
Tumblr media
Bank Con Job Grooming Australians Actually, psychologically this scheme or scam or con job works brilliantly. Making things harder for the investor to enter the market primes them perfectly for the sting. If you keep spreading the word about how tough it is to achieve you foster greater motivation in the mark. People are busting a gut to get into this market to be fleeced by the banks. Property prices keep going up, as do interest rates, and consequentially the cuts taken by agents and state governments. The returns are lower but capital gains and negative gearing can keep investors in the game.
Tumblr media
Australia Obsessed With Financialization Of Shelter Meanwhile, the nation is going nowhere fast. Australia is not geared to encourage innovation in industry. No, we are firmly fixated on owning something that already exists – domestic shelter. Just like those ducks constantly pecking at the ground for grubs. The whole country is obsessed with home ownership – isn’t that a bit weird? It is like we never got beyond the basics of life. The banks rub their greedy hands together every day in anticipation of the next signee on that contract for an enormous home loan. Now, we have a situation where ordinary folk cannot afford to rent shelter because of a massively inflated housing market. The financialization of an essential component of living has made it too expensive for the working poor. Something isn’t right about this and speaks of poor leadership. John Howard messed with the capital gains tax back in the 1990’s and the massive increase in property prices stems from then. Howard was an ex-real estate agent. Australia wasting its money and future on housing market sets the nation up for a rude awakening when the minerals run out or are no longer wanted. We have no value added manufacturing industry. We have a financial sector focused on our domestic property market. Robert Sudha Hamilton is the author of Money Matters: Navigating Credit, Debt, and Financial Freedom.   ©WordsForWeb
