Bess went on inside and proceeded to begin organizing the dinnerware. She wasn’t about to be anywhere near a kitchen after what happened earlier that morning so none of them argued with her self-assigned duty. Nick and George drifted into the office to finish filing paperwork. Or so went the excuse they poorly constructed in their wake as they left hand in hand and closed the door behind them.
And so, it was just Ace and her, side by side, elbow deep in soap bubbles, scrubbing the scum out from the bottom of their designated tin pans.

in 2x15 his story, Perry's therapist can't believe that he took the advice of someone at the hospital, which benefitted him both personally and professionally. He tells Perry that if there's someone in that hellhole of a hospital he actually listens to, he should do everything in his power to keep them around. hi so since I'm regressing into my jdox ways...
The history of scrubs tiktok account just posted the "he was my friend" monologue from my finale and someone in the comments pointed out that you can hear JD's shoe squeak when he comes back in behind Perry and that Perry knew he was there and said those things anyway
So yeah. I'm dead.

The Good Doctor 2x15
THE GOOD: I didn’t know anti-depression meds are bad for pregnancies. If that plot educates anyone & they avoid the Percy situation that’s likely the biggest benefit of the episode.
Entertainment wise, Glassman finally making friends in the cancer ward made me so happy.
JP Adler aka Larry “Dude! We’re Tumor Twins!” Childs made a good impression. Hope he returns. Also, the moment Glassman looked at Candace’s empty seat and Larry said she could be dead? THAT was the kind of lowkey development I’ve been wanting from Glassy’s cancer story.
Happy they used Nurse Deena from Quarantine in the cancer ward & Dr. Garcia delivered the baby according to my CC. I strongly welcome TGD using 3rd tier recurring cast to build out their world.
Melendez being oblivious his Dr. Han description fit himself and the amusing Morgan & Park reaction shots got a smirk & chuckle. Glad Tough Cookie Dr. Lim stood up to Dr. Han’s .bullying behavior. Christina Chang plays a strong confidence as Lim that I love.
“Page the pediatric cardiac surgeon on call” YES!!! THANK YOU WRITERS FOR ACKNOWLEDGING LIM DOING THIS SURGERY MADE NO SENSE!!! “No need. I’ll scrub in.” Hmm. Is Dr. Han a pediatric cardiac surgeon? I need to know whether this makes sense or not at all.
I felt Daniel Dae Kim did a good job playing an overbearing egomaniac, but....
THE NEUTRAL: I’m reserving judgment on this Dr. Han plot until I see more of where it’s going. We’ve had this biased ag. autism plot already w/ Andrews, Melendez, Nurse Fryday & Morgan. Also, since Shaun’s idea SAVEDTHE BABY, I’m not sure why Han would be so determined to force Shaun into pathology. It seemed contrived, but if it goes someplace interesting, I’ll deal. Am skeptical they’re going to go into all the ADA implications since Jessica isn’t around to point out how Shaun’s contractual rt to his surgical residency can’t be taken away so easily and that there’s no proof accommodations aren’t reasonable or his disability affects the safety of others etc. Really his Quarantine meltdown fit better to address the legal issues so the timing strikes me as odd.
I missed Lea (*again*) but especially this week since they set up something *BIG* w/Shaun realizing he wasn’t ok w/Jake & Lea. I was ready for a payoff. OTOH, I also didn’t have to sit thru more Lim/Melendez & since the writers aren’t building up my confidence they know how to handle romantic plots/ships well, I may end up super glad for this break from the writers’ plans for these couples.
THE MEH - The actors who played Percy’s parents were underwhelming/lackluster. They didn’t seem like the parents of a dying newborn. I know I was suppose to feel sad for them, but I saw them as actors just saying lines so I didn’t The contrast was especially stark compared to the lady who played Karen’s mom in “Faces” who just *CRUSHED* my heart. That actress convinced me of her pain. TGD guest casting had gotten so much better lately, until this week. Percy’s mom needed to convey the exhaustion & physical pain from surgery, the guilt of possibly causing her child’s death, a fierce drive to protect her offspring and the hormonal roller coaster of it all happening to a person who needs to get back on her anti depression meds. The guest actress didn’t come close to convincing me of even 1 of those. Plus, Percy looked fake/plastic in some shots which didn’t help.
Overall, the episode was a solid installment. I intensely disliked Han as was clearly the goal. Plus, I laughed at Dr. Melendez & smiled w/Glassy The lackluster acting by Percy’s parents was my only real issue. I’d give it a B or B+.

She keeps the Queen of Hearts tucked between her name tag and her hospital emergency codes, slid neatly into a little plastic pouch on her lanyard, a small reminder that even the hardest days are survivable.
There's a lull in activity inside the ER, everyone caught in a state of limbo where there's nothing more they can do but nowhere else to go and it's making her itch. Everyone's just waiting, holding their breath, stuck and Noa hates it, so she uses the time to drop onto a chair in one of the empty patient stalls for some quiet. As she settles, Noa tugs the rarely used curtains closed around her and then pulls out the Queen of Hearts to examine it for the first time in a long time.
She'd tried to give the stupid thing back to Johnny as she and Mario were discharging him months ago. The old man had just grinned and shook his head, pushing the card back into her hand with that enigmatic look that said he thought he knew more than she did. "Keep it Dr. Kean," he'd told her, clearly pleased about something other than his relatively clean bill of health. "Maybe it'll help you find a little bit of faith." And then he'd taken one last look between his doctors, wished them well, and left.
Now she stares at the bold lines of colors on the face of the card, fingers tracing them and drawing in breaths that seem to come too slow, even as she takes them more raggedly.
He's going to be okay, he has to be.
She can have faith in that, she can believe. She doesn't need proof or logic or reason: she just needs Mario Savetti to walk out of that damn CDC bubble and smile at her.
Noa gives herself five minutes: five minutes to struggle and waiver and lose it. Five minutes to sit in a chair with a playing card clutched in her hand and when it's over, she gets up, scrubs her face against the sleeves of her undershirt and tucks the card into the pocket of her scrubs, as close to her heart as she can get it.
He's going to be fine. She can believe in that, believe in him.
