I also really love how Kieran didn't have a stereotypical screaming crying mental breakdown after he lost to us. It was honestly better to have the quiet, vacant stares, and the withdrawing from everyone. the lashing out happened in the Underdepths when he was prying out Terapagos, but even after during the actual battle against Terapagos he was more stunned and numb than anything

Its a really interesting part of his character that he doesnt know what to do with himself when something doesnt go his way. He tried to seem cool and collected as the BB League champion, he tried to have control and respect, but at the end of the day he's still just a scared little kid. Hes such an interesting character im so glad they didnt cheap out on his arc

Dear GameFreak: Why didn't you just give Appletun the stats of the former instead of creating an unnecessary new evolution of the Applin family? Because holy shit the poor thing will be irrelevant because of this thing. Sure, the movepool and abilities are different, but it's still unfair.

Couldn't they at least switch the defense stats of Hydrapple so it doesn't overlap with Appletun?

It's so fascinating to me that almost none of the gym leaders in Scarlet and Violet.. want to be gym leaders. All of them have these ulterior things they're doing at all times and have to be called in to do gym battles, and Larry's lines about working for a boss who would get mad at him if he talks for too long? Is that a boss at his salary job or as a gym leader? Also he sounded like he was APPOINTED the job like it was fuckin jury duty

So in regards to Ingo sleeping his way through Hisui and the possibility of descendents, how are we feeling about Team Star Squad Boss Eri? I feel the eyes are especially... reminiscent. She's also known for being especially serious about training, and in her pre-battle animation she's wearing a black coat over her shoulders which I've yet to see her with anywhere else. And her little collar thing with the blue tie. All in all I guess I'm getting Vibes from her and I'm not sure how I'm feeling about it.
