Hi hello, I was struggling with my Spooktober challenge, but wanted to draw something today, so I ended up with this:

He is Very Shape, so I had to lmao (I don't draw animals much, so it was a bit tricky, but hope it came out okay!)

#oh no the boy #he looks like his soul is about to leave his body #what goes on behind those saucer eyes I wonder #the horrors it's gotta be the horrors #the shading and lighting are absolutely delicious! #so many good hues and shades #the orange purple and magenta #I use cool colors so rarely (practically never) so it's straight up ~weird~ seeing Machete with a blue color palette #but it works it makes him look even more out of sorts than average #I'm liking all the sharp angles on his ears #oh and the lone strand of fur between them! I draw that too! #I find it terribly flattering when I get gift art from people who say they don't draw furries/animals very often #because if they're willing to venture outside their comfort zone like that it must mean they really truly like the character #I only draw human characters under extreme and unusual circumstances I know how daunting it can be #to switch from a familiar subject to a more foreign one like that #so I see the effort you put into the piece and I appreciate it! #gift art #lumilasi #own characters #Machete #kanssasuomalainen! virtuaalinen yläfemma o/

WXS miku's hair pom poms are actually what gave me this idea?? the one on her antenna always reminded me of a moogle so this was just the obvious next step, giving her moogle design elements. Next thought was, well what about her matching Cait Sith? Hence the checkered pant pattern and general vibe (to match his little jester uniform from the remake :3)

man i really need to actually work on the Main Plot of cycles 2-4 but instead i spend half a day thinking about what chairs look like in mortally coiled

#howling #mortally coiled #in my defense. mortals are EXTREMELY diverse in terms of body plans #which means that 'standard' furniture would be way way different #simple answer: beanbags and saucer chairs #complex answer: there are a handful of different types of seats that work better for different common bodytypes #with people tending to mostly own seats that fit their own bodyplan + some spare 'courtesy seats' in different styles for visitors #but then i started thinking of a sort of 'universal chair' that could be used in public spaces #initial thought was having like modular seats that can be adapted to different bodyplans #but eventually i settled on two simpler options- a shallow bowl-shaped chair or a sorta beanbag-esque sack chair #both of which could allow for different seating styles semi-comfortably and allows a public facility to stock a bunch of them #theyre rarely used in private homes because theyre the Generic Option that ends up not being particularly cozy for anyone #anyways. meanwhile i still dont know what the fuck even happens in cycle 3. it doesnt have a CONCLUSION yet
