Saezuru chapter 52 first impressions-

Well, I suppose the eye contact in the beginning and the look on his face when Yashiro chokes out his name later on in the chapter are the only times we get to see Doumeki's true emotions in this chapter.

Yes, they had sex after 84 years 🎉 but it just felt like Doumeki wasn't fully there. Even with all the movement (🤭) it felt almost robotic on his part. Like he was just going through the motions. In a way I suppose he was (the whole "make do with me for now" thing), but it also felt like he was going through a barrage of conflicting emotions all the while 'doing' Yashiro in the way he thought Yashiro liked and wanted.

I suppose this is in order to avoid a repeat of the past what with having Yashiro finally back in his life.

All in all, this chapter helped us get a glimpse at how they both have changed, the change especially glaring and in full focus juxtaposed with each other.

Yashiro's changes, both with how overtly emotional he has become, and the bouts of pain and jealousy thinking about Doumeki and the Mama (this from a man who was known for getting rid of people who had caught feelings for him and had the confidence of never falling in love ever again let alone this deep), and Doumeki with his swirling, conflicted, scared of losing Yashiro again, tensed, angry mind, all with a sex scene that hardly has any dialogue.

I wonder what it feels to be a genius Yoneda Kou Sensei? 😂❤

Everyone says that Doumeki is not emotional during sex with Yashiro. There is a panel after Doumeki penetrates Yashiro he looks so intense. The emotion clearly on his face. Is he angry or trying to control himself. That was the first time he had intercourse with Yashiro in 4 years. Why that face? He is definitely over come with something.

Does This Look Emotionless To You?

I don’t know who everyone is, but Doumeki as ‘not emotional’ is just not a thing.

This is not an emotionless exchange. They are both fighting their emotions … and losing.

Doumeki is barely controlling himself, how could he not be? Yashiro is everything in this man’s world, and this is it after four years. Years in which he made himself into a man Yashiro had to take seriously. He doesn’t know what Yashiro has been feeling all this time and vice versa. There are still hidden feelings and truths for both of them.

More, they went over a line emotionally and they both know it. Yashiro slapping him around after the tattoo discovery, and his mostly calm acceptance of it, is a chrysalis point for them both. Yashiro has to come to terms with who Doumeki IS RIGHT NOW, and Doumeki knows for sure whatever Yashiro says, tenderness and love is what he wants, because that’s how he really feels.

I know this is disordered thinking… but for Yashiro violence is love. Or it was.

Doumeki is fighting to control himself, but he isn’t angry and he isn’t without emotion. He is still his stoic self or trying to be right now. He may be trying to give Yashiro what he wants, but he is also getting what he wants. And how much to feel, how much to give, how much to want… this is all part of what he will be fighting against.

But don’t forget, here is the man he’s been fighting for.

The one thing he wouldn’t want to do is chase Yashiro away by making the same mistakes he did before. Yet, with this kind of emotional longing between two people, how could he not be feeling a whirlwind inside? He is still trying to be strategic even now, but I think it can only work so much because you can be sure he really wants to make love to Yashiro… not fuck him, or manhandle him, or rough him up in anyway. He had likely hardened himself to this, and was prepared to give it to Yashiro with as much sardonic feigned unfeeling as he could. This is what we saw in that heated exchange of words. But Yashiro wouldn’t allow that. And that’s why smacking Doumeki around was the best way to ask for the tenderness he wanted from Doumeki.

In all the panels I’ve seen of 52, and without getting any dialogue yet, it seems clear that they are both feeling everything.

I think they’re both struggling to pull back from the edge and are both losing, because they’re on a fast train to wherever it is they’re going to end up.

Side note: How much intense, passionate sex has this ‘everyone’ had? Ain’t anybody seen these kind of “we fucking” faces before? These “I am going to crawl inside your soul” faces? These “this is too good and I can’t think straight, but I need to think straight” faces? Just me? Ok. 🤷🏽‍♀️

one of the silver linings (for me) in chapter 52 is yashiro’s positive reaction to kissing and his lack of nausea at sex. in volume 5, he would let doumeki kiss him but seemed timid and unsure of what to do; this time he’s far more proactive and responsive. now there’s significant amounts of tongue happening between them.

and yes, doumeki decides to become a robotic dick machine halfway through and fucks with a single-minded relentlessness, but he’s not violent or cruel. he doesn’t tie yashiro’s arms or slap him around; the worst he does is flip yashiro onto his stomach to fuck him doggy-style (the way yashiro had pleaded to be fucked before) (and now yashiro is shocked by this). so while the sex isn’t a dreamy spell of romance, it’s still normal sex. doumeki sucks him off and fingers him and kisses his ass cheek - it’s the kind of sex yashiro thought he despised beforehand. but here he is, still a bit scared but hungering for it.

and yashiro doesn’t think about his abuse. you know what he thinks about? doumeki and the club mama. obviously it’s still difficult, but I think (I hope!) yashiro is getting closer to the core truth in himself: he is not broken, or damaged. he wants to be loved, and he wants it from doumeki.

it’s sad to still see these two still dancing around each other even in the throngs of passion. but comparing this to chapter 25 (as I think sensei intended), you can see the genuine growth that’s happened in yashiro.

The glasses are back on the scene

As many are commenting, this chapter 52 is the mirror of chapter 25. Yashiro is now the one who is totally surrendering to the passion he feels for Doumeki. If you remember in the past, Doumeki stole Kageyama's glasses from Yashiro and we never knew where they ended up, now they have returned to the scene masterfully put by Yoneda and I have my theory.

Doumeki has a room with nothing more than a bed and a box , which has been kept closed all this time until Yashiro appears on the scene. Doumeki, being the king of order, has intentionally left the box open so that Yashiro can see the glasses of the past. Doumeki is testing and pushing Yashiro in every way, testing him one after the other to gauge him and push him to acknowledge his feelings for him.

The first step already worked Yashiro couldn't contain himself any longer and let Doumeki take it now the plan continues on its way. I'm on Doumeki's side, to achieve what he wants he has prepared for 4 years to such an extent that he has even tattooed himself to be a yakuza and we already know that yakuzas are like actors so let the show continue.

An Overview; Chapter 52

This post is going to review sketchily chapter 52 in advance of 53. When the official spoiler for 52 was released, I learned they were still kissing, Doumeki slightly flushed with tender eyes and separately making good use of his hands. Thus I began to think beyond 51.

What if Doumeki does not even try to insert it? Yashiro would feel rejected. But it seems like Doumeki is repressing the exercise of his sexual function [ability?].

Conversely, what if Doumeki demands again, as in chapter 25 (vol.5), to let Yashiro say (in words) “You are the one I want”? Yashiro will remain not being able to respond in his own words.

And above all, if Yashiro’s flashback is triggered…

Going straight to the point, as Yashiro with an extremely seductive look called Do--me--ki haltingly (with his best effort), Doumeki finally entered it, and Yashiro’s flashback did not trigger. It would have been because Doumeki had a different approach than four years ago. He gave Yashiro mild pain and words of shaming, and spurred Yashiro fiercely.

There is a setting that Doumeki has unequaled (in many cases, especially sexual) energy (20072017). He fully exerted it and overcame Yashiro supposed to be taking pride in his lustfulness. Yashiro lost consciousness in the middle. Chapter 53 describes the ongoing night, so 52 was the affair on the fourth day afternoon.

I have made the most insightful post about chapter 52 but I cannot get it past the sexual content community guidelines! GGRRRR

Impressions:

- The art carries a lot of weight in this chapter. Many people might have their interpretations about the power dynamic at play updated when they see the rhythm of the panels and the focus on certain key microseconds. There is a gorgeous full size panel where the art makes it look that D is piercing through Yashiro.

- Given Doumeki’s tattoo as the goddess of mercy, what if his acts are actually a manifestation of Kannon’s compassion? What if Yashiro is getting exactly what he needs? I predict Yashiro’s healing after this episode.

Some Saezuru Chapter 52 text spoilers

-Yashiro and Doumeki finally have sex! It's rougher than chapter 25 but for a few moments there's some wild passion and it's clear they're still in love with each other.

-Doumeki is shirtless, and you see the the glorious back tattoo several times.

-Doumeki blows Yashiro and there's another kiss! He preps Yashiro a lot and there's this point where Yahiro looks over his shoulder at Doumeki with the most vulnerable face and Doumeki's brain goes briefly offline. Mine did too.

-Once Doumeki is inside, Yashiro is overwhelmed with pleasure, he's trembling with his hand over his mouth. Doumeki also LIFTS YASHIRO and puts him on the bed.

-They do it until Yashiro passes out. When he wakes up he can barely stand and Doumeki has to help him.

-After a shower, Yashiro is getting dressed (Doumeki hung up Yashiro's suit which I think is adorable) and YASHIRO NOTICES THE CONTACT CASE. He stares at it a bit, but then calls Nanahara as he leaves, and that's the end of the chapter.

Hmm, okay, finally read chapter 52 of Saezuru, and I've got to say, Yashiro seems downright depressed at the end of the chapter. He's a hurtin' unit, man. And I think it really ties into my last post about this chapter, about Yashiro's conflicting feelings regarding wanting to be treated gently. Doumeki didn't do that here. Yashiro's expression when Doumeki flips him over is one of almost panic. Yashiro didn't want this, and his internal thoughts afterward in the shower seem to confirm that to me, when he wonders if Doumeki really had to "fuck me so hard", as he says. I posited before that Yashiro is having a difficult time reconciling his desire to be treated gently with the trauma he experienced at the hands of his step-father, particularly his step-father telling him he was really a woman, and how Yashiro may feel admitting to wanting gentility, in some way, proves his step-father right about him. Yashiro seems obviously depressed to me here when he's thinking about how Doumeki wouldn't treat a woman roughly the way he did Yashiro himself just now. I think Yashiro wants Doumeki to acknowledge him as a man, but to still treat him with the same care and kindness he would a woman. And I think Yashiro wants Doumeki to acknowledge him as a man so much because he doesn't want his step-father to be right about him, but he's feeling extremely low here because it seems Doumeki has changed into the prototypical Yakuza, someone who hurts other men.

What also really stood out to me in this chapter was how highlighted the physical difference between Yashiro and Doumeki was. Of course, it's always been obvious that Doumeki is like this physical specimen of masculinity, and Yashiro is much more feminine in comparison. But Yashiro's waif-like physicality seems even more pronounced here. He's so thin, and Doumeki manhandles him with ease. You get a real sense of Yashiro's helplessness at Doumeki's hands in this chapter, and I don't necessarily think that's meant to be taken as a good thing. You have this moment afterward, though, when Yashiro gets up to take a shower, when he loses his footing and falls, and Doumeki catches him. In these panels, Doumeki's superior physical strength is seen as a good thing, as he's using it to protect Yashiro, rather than overpower him. But of course, Yashiro pushes him away in the next moment, made uncomfortable, once again, by their positions, him being the smaller, weaker man in need of protection, like a woman would be. I really do think this is just a severe struggle for Yashiro, this pull between wanting to be seen and acknowledged as a man, but wanting to be treated like a woman. He doesn't know how to ask for it, because to ask for it would be to acknowledge his step-father was right (at least, that's what I'm guessing at with Yashiro).

It's a tragic and heartbreaking set of circumstances. Doumeki isn't opening up to Yashiro either, and he continues to come off as having changed into rather a more unfeeling, hard-hearted person, and you can see how deeply it bothers Yashiro. You can tell, I think, that he misses that Doumeki. When he starts to say the old Doumeki never would have picked up on his sarcasm, only stops himself halfway through and gives up trying to explain, you get such a deflated sense of defeat off of him. Yashiro keeps looking, I think, for signs that the Doumeki he knew is still in there, somewhere. That the Doumeki who treated him with the respect and admiration one would afford a worthy man, but with the kindness and care one would afford a loved woman, is still there.

Something is going to have to give here, eventually. Either Doumeki drops the act, or Yashiro opens up, or something more extreme, some sort of threat which forces their true feelings to come out.

Right now, Yashiro is still, I think, in a very bad place mentally.

It breaks my heart seeing Yashiro think about Doumeki and the Mama even when he has the love of his life holding him. I can't help but think back to wayy back in the beginning when he was standing by the window thinking about him and Kuga being the light and shadow, likening himself to the latter.

Even after seeing Doumeki's resolve to stay with him (what with the pinky and him basically laying down his life for him even with the harsh painful treatment Yashiro subject him to) and more importantly, his gentleness with him, completely unlike how anyone had ever treated him before, even after all that, when in chapter 46 Doumeki says that he has a woman, Yashiro has absolutely no doubt, no hesitation in believing it.

Because even though he HAS changed, in his mind, he still thinks that he is unlovable, undeserving of love. Especially love from a 'pure' man like Doumeki. When it comes to his views on being loved, his headspace is still the same as it had been that day by the window.

In 3/4 of the 24 pages, they have been entangling one another. Considering Doumeki’s way, the progression seems impetuous. He concentrates on the essential parts, not kissing Yashiro all over his body. The fantasy of Doumeki and Mama comes to Yashiro's mind. None of Doumeki’s women in Yashiro’s imagination had a face so far. On this occasion, he identifies the one. I think Yashiro has gotten aroused further by the fantasy, and Doumeki would have raised his head since he sensed Yashiro was about to come. It appears that he is holding Yashiro’s with his right hand. He touches his forehead to Yashiro’s, stares at Yashiro’s face, and they kiss each other. It looks like they are nothing other than two lovers...

There was probably a reason why Doumeki often turned his head away from Yashiro when they were in bed (ch.46 and 50, vol.8). As Doumeki looks squarely at Yashiro’s arousing, he gradually attunes to him, and his own arousing shows on his face. He kisses Yashiro’s hip. This way should be Doumeki’s natural preference. When Yashiro asks to pull [it out] and be no more finger, Doumeki suddenly becomes expressionless and says something pejorative. I do not think he was going to do it, because he was fingering with one finger, and if he had been going to do it, he must have used at least two fingers to prepare. However, the look Yashiro gave Doumeki over his shoulder was irresistibly seductive (He has lost his right eyesight, which would mean he sent solely a glance).

Yashiro has been waiting. In contrast, Doumeki is gritting his teeth. Four years ago, although Doumeki had spent almost a chapter in foreplay, there had been a shock on both sides when he had entered at a breath (ch.25, vol.5). Later, Yashiro had jokingly said that he had thought he had been going to rip (ch.33, vol.6).

Doumeki starts by putting the head in, and Yashiro begins trembling as early. Doumeki says, “(I have not put it even all in, so) [you must] not [come] yet.” He slowly puts the whole of it up, and in the instant, Yashiro silently comes. It is hard to figure out Doumeki’s expression as he looks down at Yashiro. He seems relatively temperate, thinking about something. But then he turns expressionless again, pointing out the lustfulness of Yashiro’s body.

Doumeki drives Yashiro up without giving him even a pause, and he puts his fingertip in Yashiro’s mouth, which looks like a kind of coarse manner. Is this because Yashiro had told him four years ago not to be so careful (ch.21, vol.4), I suppose? Conflictingly, Doumeki carries Yashiro to the bed, still, the two are very likely connected. Yashiro is also holding on to Doumeki with the arm(s) and legs. It is an adult version of the princess-hold that Doumeki has performed a few times, and he would be proud of it despite his unclear expression. Yet he flumps Yashiro down onto the bed, and then their bodies have separated. It appears that Yashiro frowns on it (ch.25). For him, it may mean emotional fulfillment rather than purely physical one. Otherwise, why would Yashiro desire it? Doumeki has been pleasing Yashiro enough without it (ch.46 and 50). Yashiro is folded in almost half and mumbles “deep,” “wai--[t],” “[I am] co--ming,” and is simply covered his mouth with a kiss by Doumeki. Four years ago, Yashiro had said “deep*” and asked for “more” (ch.25), and Doumeki has done exactly so.

While Doumeki seems to have reached orgasm, too, he does not look satisfied or joyful, immediately turns Yashiro’s body over with a scary serious expression, and grabs Yashiro’s waist with his big hands. Doumeki must prefer by his nature to do it by looking at Yashiro’s face (ch.25). Yet four years ago, Yashiro had told him that it would be better from behind, so that would be the reason for what he is doing. Not getting a break from processing, Yashiro is perplexed and tries to say that hold [on], only, a vortex of pleasure engulfed the whole thing.

Doumeki is not reluctant to fulfill Yashiro’s “desires” (that would bespeak his feelings). On the other hand, it seems that he has been abstaining from posing his desires to Yashiro. Like Kamiya, Doumeki should have a common sense of not bringing inappropriate conduct to business settings. Furthermore, he is aware that Tsunakawa dares to get Doumeki closer to the former boss and is testing his loyalty. Nevertheless, he has relented to Yashiro’s demand. I believe that he has done it against his own will, in conformity to his empirical knowledge that these are the way Yashiro favors to do. The fact that he has not put his pants off until the end also indicates that he has not let himself go.

Doumeki was appreciably conflicted in chapter 52, particularly after the insertion. Yashiro was generally happy at least during that time, for he was generally melting. It is the opposite of chapters 24-25 (vol.5). Yashiro had been fairly conflicted that time, and Doumeki had been happy during that time (just during the time -- it had been a risky wager for Doumeki, and he had known it).

Yashiro arises from short sleep in the narrow bed. What he recalls is nectarous. He was lying on his stomach, unable to hold himself up, his expression alluring, Doumeki’s body was massive, and their hands were overlapping. If there were this one panel alone, one can imagine it was a perfectly romantic afternoon. Doumeki regains the masque of the black-suited yakuza, though, Yashiro’s suit is hungered on a hanger, as it had been four years ago. Yashiro attempts to say, “Four years ago, you would have...” and then cuts his words off. He tries to accept the fact that Doumeki’s way was not the same as four years ago.

---------------------------------------- Note: Yashiro once said “*deep...” in chapter 25, then it was modified to “ah…” in volume 5.

Appendix: It can be inferred that Yashiro does not ask for mere dick. In the past, Doumeki filled Yashiro to the brim with anything much more than that. The meaning of chapters 24-25 and what they brought to Yashiro became apparent in chapter 47, the middle of volume 8, beyond the latter half of volumes 5, 6, 7, and the first half of 8. How profound is the heart of one person? The story progresses through the swaying plication of Yashiro’s heart one by one. I prefer to continue wandering across the forest of stories as a relentless reader. The deeper the forest, the better for me.
