HELLO for the wip meme, how about not your boy?

oh god okay so this one is also ryuzo/jin but i feel like it needs more of an explainer because i am probably skirting SOME kind of line with it, in that it’s intentionally playing with the social expectations of queer relationships in the era GoT is set, namely the class and age expectations of who’s doing what, and how that doesn’t play so nice with the issues ryuzo ALREADY has in terms of his internalized class angst:

Ryuzo scoffs, incredulous and annoyed. “Of course. All you have to do to get something is want it,” he says with a roll of his eyes. “I’m not about to lay back and play the boy for you just because your eyes finally started working.”

“I didn't…” Jin trails off, shameful heat roiling in his gut. He pulls his hand back to his lap, mutters, “You’re older than me, anyway.” By barely more than a year, but that's not the point.

Ryuzo’s gaze sharpens, that intensity back in full force. “I am,” he says slowly. Jin’s the one to look away now. “And I know better than you do how the world works.”

Jin scowls, nettled—there’s only so often he’d like to hear how little he knows. “Yes, you’ll be going grey with all your wisdom any day now,” he says to the fire, fighting the petulant urge to cross his arms and pull his knees to his chest.

“Which means,” Ryuzo says over Jin’s grumbling, “that you would be my boy.”

So Jin def had some serious ptsd from his time in Iki island. I feel like his dad is a piece of shit. His dad murdered innocents, burned down villages, and treated Jin harshly when he questioned him. We never see or hear Ryuzo talk about it to Jin. He constantly tells jin about how he doest know what its like to undermined and how he doesnt understand strugle. If jin had told Ryuzo what went down in that island then maybe would have realized Jin's life wasnt that perfect. Maybe he would have comforted him.

ahhh yes happy to post more wips :3 this one is probably the most "suspend your disbelief for the sake of the smut" of my wips but uhhh it's worth it because ryuzos should get pegged more. the alternate title for this one is What Happens When A Kinsey 6 And A Kinsey 5 Have A Crush On The Same Guy:

And so. Here she is, having hustled them both inside, drinking stolen sake and bragging about her conquests to a man she can't stand.

In response, Ryuzo rolls his eyes. “Who said anything about women?” he mutters, with a level of distaste that's got Yuna's brows climbing towards her hairline. Interesting. Then he pauses, leaning up on one arm as he squints at her. “...With what? Don’t tell me you’re hiding a different kind of arrow in those,” he laughs with a gesture at her hakama.

It’s her turn to roll her eyes. Men. So unimaginative.

“You think hands and a mouth aren't enough?” she replies, waspish, but reaches for her pack anyway. All her possessions fit into one bag now, which is a thought she doesn't linger on too long, but it’s convenient tonight. If she had to skulk to the temple complex and back she’d just leave Ryuzo wondering. Instead she’s digging for her harigata to show off some more.

She makes a quiet noise of satisfaction when she finds it, wrapped carefully in linen and tucked at the bottom of the bag. She unwinds the fabric, and there it is: a curve of wood, polished and lacquered smooth, flared at the base where it settles against her pelvis, and the leather cords that keep it there.

He stares blankly at the phallus in her hand for a quiet moment, a little wide-eyed. She basks in the silence, pleased with herself for shutting him up, until he asks, “You just carry that around with you?”
