Requiem of the Rose King got me f*cked up, that’s all I can say. That’s a lie: I also want to say that all the characters deserved better. And that as tragic as it was, I loved the study of gender roles (specifically during the 1400’s in England) and the depth and respect with which the main intersex character was treated with regards to his gender by the meta narrative (in my opinion/interpretation).

I have now headcanoned the Richard survives under Catesby’s care and they reunite with Edward and Richard lives a common and peaceful life with his most loyal friend and son until his passing. I just think it’s fitting that Richard and his son get some sort of happiness together without all the crown wars and drama that ruined his life in the first place and that Catesby gets to see and be a part of that happiness too.
